The world is moving so fast now, personally I find it exciting to witness and I am grateful, but I also find it a bit scary.
In this podcast I talk about how it is important to leave the need for speed at home and to not bring it to the barn.
The horses don't need it and as far as I can tell, they don't care for it either ♥

A very broad subject squeezed into less than 30 minutes, so forgive me for not covering the subject too broadly.
However, I hope the idea of what I talk about here gives a little more understanding to those that were not too sure what connection is.
I also hope it sends a ripple to those that are ready ♥

In this episode I share with you my thoughts and experiences with regards to separation anxiety, herd bound or barn sweet horses.
I talk about why horses might develop it, some ideas how to resolve it and additional conclusions.
Besides all of that, please know you are not alone, one of my own horses suffers with it from time to time where sometimes and like my situation, it is out of your hands.

Thank you Oros Mihai for the question - it is indeed a good subject and although broad, if we can understand some things which make the whole process much easier and safer, and from the horses point of view, their dignity can be preserved that whole much more and their first experiences carrying us can leave a long term positive effect rather than not.

Feel is a term I discovered during my journey in Natural Horsemanship some 25 years ago.
It changed the way I work, play and train with horses and for the better.
While it is not something we can learn over night, it IS something we can implement daily to the point we get so good at it, it becomes our new normal.
Curious?
Please listen in ♥

When accessing a horse that has no go, I do my best to view them from 4 categories:
1. Character (low, medium or high spirited)
2. Physical (past or present pain)
3. Training (and/or conditioned response)
4. A combination of the above
I invite you to listen to this episode where I elaborate on that and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out ♥

Being prepared to fail more times than we succeed is the route to all mastery.
However I get it, especially when a live animal is involved.
But still it should not prevent you from progress and if anything, it keeps life in your socks and oxygen in your veins on the path to discovering your hidden talents.
All I can say next, is have a listen and hope you enjoy ♥

We've all done it at some point, but a good measure in training horses is knowing when your doing it and trying not to do it again.
Listen in where I talk about what happens, how it effects our horsemanship and how we can prevent it in the future ♥

Horsemanship is way more than just technique and doing things with horses.
I believe it is also taking care of them, getting to know their bodies better so we can add years to their lives, rather than take them away.
This is one of the reasons behind the audio lessons I talk about, which if you are interested, can be found here in my online training academy HERE.

As mentioned, I don't usually label horses but for this particular subject choose to do so in order to educate and help understand.
In hindsight, I also forgot to mention the subject of pain and how that can also influence a horse as described here, so will save that for another podcast ♥
