There is a ripple effect to the Coronavirus. It doesn't just affect us individually, or our family unit it affected everyone around me. The worry, the fear the doubt. Yet not one medical professional told me to ensure I was taking care of my mental health. Thankfully I have a bunch of tools in my tool box already that I leaned on heavily last week. 

Last week my son and I were tested (both negative), but the emotional toll it took on me was exhausting. Having to deal with taking my 5 year to get tested, then telling work I wouldn't be coming in, having my son home all week while I took Zoom meeting after Zoom meeting. 

If you find yourself in a space where your mental and emotional health is at risk, I highly recommend you do these 3 things to ensure you are taking care of you: 

1. Journal all your feelings and emotions
2. Find quiet time - meditate!!! 
3. Change your surroundings - go for a long week or get away for a day or 2
