Welcome my friends. This episode is all about shifting your perspective about the concept of shadows and wounds. And I'd like to guide you on a journey to understand. And leverage what I call your driving sentence. Otherwise known as the sacred wound. In order for a wound to be deemed sacred. It has to contain a violation of trust, some sort of betrayal. By someone that you actually trust. And I think this concept might resonate with many of you. It's about all the wounds that we carry. The deep seated beliefs instilled in us from our earliest days. Those statements or experiences that shaped our view of ourselves and the world. And you might be familiar with these wounds as they're often described as the fucked up shit that happened in childhood. Steering you onto a path that felt uniquely challenging. But there's a twist here. Not all is, as it seems. These wounds, these deep scars hold secret power. In her book, the reclaimed woman, Dr. Kelly Brogan states. The sacred wound influences the lens through which you view your life. And it determines the way you narrate based on what you make this violation injury or trauma, or as I say, driving sentence, Mean about yourself and the world around you. This is your story. As children, we develop certain mechanisms and patterns, ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. That served a very important purpose. They keep us safe. Whether it's a defensive attitude, perfectionist streak, or even a tendency to withdraw these behaviors are our armor against the world's uncertainties and challenges. These patterns often serve us well during childhood helping us navigate complex emotional landscapes and protect our burgeoning selves from harm. However, as we mature. The world demands different things from us. And what once protected us can start to constrict us. But here's where my own story intertwines with this concept. For a long time. My measure of worth was tied directly to struggle. The more I struggled in overcame or succeeded, the more I felt valued. It was a metric deeply ingrained from those early protective strategies. Yet this measurement of worth through struggle, didn't truly serve me. Instead, it became the very challenge I was meant to overcome. This realization opened my eyes to a different strength. The strength in allowing ease into my life. Recognizing it not as a sign of weakness, but as a profound source of power. So here's the catch. These mechanisms are so ingrained, so familiar that we rarely stop to question them until we hit a wall. This wall could be a life crisis, a major transition, or simply the growing realization. That the way we operate is no longer bringing us joy and success. It's at this juncture, where many of us find ourselves at odds with our own behaviors. We'd say we want happiness and success and love, but our old patterns are old defenses. Keep playing out often sabotaging our best efforts. Take a moment to think about what patterns you developed as a child. How are they serving you today? Are they supporting your current goals or are they relics of past needs that no longer exist? Or even better take the shadow operating system, archetype quiz to see what your success strategy has been and how it's been serving and perhaps hindering you. Imagine with me. A statement that echoed in your mind for years. The deeper, the trust, the deeper, the betrayal and the deeper the wound. So coming from my mother. This became a deeply seated, psychological wound, shaping every decision, every fear. Every dream. In that. Single harsh statement from my mother. I wish you'd never been born. This drove me to believe I was unworthy. And it became my victim consciousness story, the lens through which I saw myself and the world. But there's more to the journey. Through my own healing journey. I came to understand that my sacred wound wasn't merely a source of pain. It had become my currency of choice. An unconscious exchange through which I sought to validate my work. This realization was pivotal. What I once saw is a mere source of suffering was in fact, a misguided compass that paradoxically pointed me towards my true north. This wound entangled with my identity and self-worth was intricately designed not to hinder me, but to catalyze my personal growth and spiritual awakening. It was through this lens that I began to see the sacred wound, not as an affliction to be cured. But as a critical element of my life's blueprint, perfectly crafted for my evolution. What if our deepest wounds, aren't just scars. What if they are actually the keys to our deepest power and purpose. It's time to make the shift from viewing these experiences as purely traumatic to seeing them as profoundly transformative. These sacred wounds, believe it or not are not random misfortunes. They aren't the hand that you were dealt. There are intricately woven into the fabric of our destiny, challenging us to transmute pain into empowerment. To find meaning in suffering and to emerge with a new found strength and clarity. As Dr. Kelly says in her book. Suffering ends where meaning begins. This isn't about diminishing the pain, but instead enriching our understanding of its purpose. When I first uncovered my driving sentence just a few years back, actually. That harsh declaration from childhood that shadowed my entire life. I believed it was something that I needed to expel from my being. It felt like a dark cloud over my spirit as a mark, that I was desperate to erase. But as I delve deeper working with this sentence, examining it from every level. Uh, startling truth or merged. This sentence, the sacred wound. Wasn't a purse. It wasn't something to be shunned or discarded instead, it was a gateway, an opening to a path that was mine all along the path that I was meant to walk. Now we often talk about. Choosing our parents, our families, and our circumstances before we're born. Well, at least I often talk about this. About, um, aligning ourselves with the lessons that we need to learn and the growth that we need to experience. This driving sentence is part of that contract. It's not merely a scar. It's a recalibration of our compass directing us back to our true north. Working with my clients on their own identity, journeys and compass recalibrations I've come to see that our deepest wounds are not mistakes. They are intricately placed guides. Pushing us to confront our deepest fears and our highest potentials. They challenge us to transform, to evolve and to emerge with a wisdom that's deeply seated. And rooted in our experiences. Through my coaching and mentorship. Of other highly accomplished and equally unfulfilled women. I now understand it was a catalyst for profound self-discovery and growth. It leads us to our life's work, mine being to introduce this to you and to guide you in navigating your shadows just as I navigated mine. And let me just say, like this concept of the sacred wound, isn't just something that I stumbled upon. It's echoed in many, many profound teachings, including the Venus sequence from the gene keys, which presents a fascinating take on our existential blueprint. From the moment of conception to our birth. Uh, sequence is laid down in holographic stages. Our greatest potentials alongside our deepest challenges are all imprinted within our biology. This holographic imprinting suggests that what we perceive as our deepest wounds are not mere coincidence is or misfortunes. But our sacred elements to our very existence. They are integral to our being essential for our evolution and growth. Think of it this way. Without these fractures, these breaks in our perfect image of life. Existence, as we know. Would not unfold. And evolution, both personal and collective. Would stall. These wounds, these sacred ruptures are not just flaws they're openings, portals to greater understanding and deeper connection with our true selves. When we talk about the driving sentence, the sacred wound. We're really talking about the key to our hearts of elution. It's through engaging with this wound that we begin to open our hearts to our souls to truly understand and embrace the breadth of our potential. And I want to address before we end this. I want to address the concept of healing for a second. I want to offer you a different version of what you might currently associate as healing. Often when we speak appealing, there's an underlying wish to return to a time before we encountered the pain or the trauma. It's as if we're trying to erase the scars and restore ourselves back to a pristine state. But true healing, spiritual and psychological healing. Is not about erasing or undoing. Healing is about seeing a new it's about recognizing that the aspects of ourselves that we've labeled as bad, wrong or broken are. In fact, some of the most loving parts of our being. These are the parts that have carried our pain, shielded us in moments of vulnerability and have been waiting to be acknowledged and integrating into the wholeness of who we are. This kind of healing is an act of deep love. It's about learning to embrace and cherish these parts of ourselves that we've shunned or hidden away. It's about understanding that every fragment of our experience, especially the painful ones. Hold immense wisdom and potential for growth. This type of healing is a form of reframing. Uh, way to see our experiences in a new context. It's not just about changing our perspective on past traumas. It's about remembering why we chose this life in the first place. This idea of reremembering, if you will, is a call to recall our reasons for incarnating. Each of us came here with a set of intentions experiences. That we need to have lessons that we're destined to learn and a path uniquely ours to walk. Our wounds or so-called flaws. And the traumas we endure are not random misfortunes, but rather part of a larger, sacred blueprint. These experiences are not just obstacles. They are milestones. They aren't merely challenges. There are opportunities. They remind us in their own profound way of our deeper purpose and potential. By reframing our notion. About healing. We begin to see that it's not about fixing something that's broken. It's about understanding the so-called brokenness as a crucial aspect of our journey. An aspect that adds depth character and clarity to our mission. The healing then is not about going backwards. It's about going inward. It's a journey of coming to see that what we thought was our greatest weakness or most profound error. Is actually the source of incredible strength and compassion. Our relationship to our pain is a key factor in how well the wound heals and whether or not it becomes a sacred wound. A sacred wound is a wound that opens us up to a deeper and more sacred place within ourself. It opens us to our own soul. I hope you can now see this, not for its initial pain that it caused, but as an opportunity for the soul to reveal itself. I hope you allow this Fisher to open your heart and recalibrate your compass. So that you may clearly see your paths. This conversation invites us to embrace our entire selves. Our history, our wounds are adaptations. Not as relics of past trauma, but as vital active elements of our ongoing journey towards wholeness. Self-initiation and ultimately individuation.
