Jim Simmons is a Partner and Senior Advisor in the Ares Real Estate Group, where he focuses on U.S. real estate equity. Prior to joining Ares in 2013, Mr. Simmons was a Partner at AREA Property Partners. Mr. Simmons holds a B.S. from Princeton University in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, an M.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Systems Engineering, and an M.M. from the Northwestern University J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Finance and Marketing.
