What do you think about when you come to the Lord’s Table? Do you reflect on the body and blood of Jesus, His sacrifice on the cross, and the promise of His return? Or has communion become so familiar that its meaning can sometimes be overlooked?
In this episode of Proclamation Station, we reflect on ***Communion***, ***the Lord’s Supper***, and Jesus’ command: ***“Do this in remembrance of Me.”*** Through 1 Corinthians 11:23–26, we examine communion as a memorial meal that has endured for more than 2,000 years, reminding believers of what Jesus did, who Jesus is, and what we can look forward to through Him.
Together, we discuss how communion points us back to the miracles, ministry, suffering, death, resurrection, and promised return of Christ. The broken bread reminds us of His body given for us, and the cup reminds us of His blood, which sealed the new covenant and still has power to save, strengthen, and set us free.
This episode invites us to approach communion with reverence, gratitude, remembrance, and hope. Listen now and be encouraged to remember the love of Christ, the power of His sacrifice, and the freedom found in the One who said, “Do this in remembrance of Me.”
