As a RCMP dispatcher with the Southern Alberta Operational Communications Centre, Sinead Holstein was told that since she wasn't a police officer, she could never get PTSD. It didn't take long before she learned otherwise.
Medically retired as a Civilian Member, Sinead talks about her 16 years of service in emergency dispatch, which included a plethora of calls for help and being the last to speak with a Mountie before his on-duty death, all while feeling undermined and unentitled to experiencing trauma.
