Cold Open And Catching Up
SPEAKER_07Hello.
SPEAKER_04Hello.
SPEAKER_07We're back. We are back, and I'm out of tips.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so that means we should start the episode.
SPEAKER_07I think so. Alright.
SPEAKER_04So should we open this up?
SPEAKER_07I don't know. Oh, my stomach started turning. Alright, let's open this up. Whoops. I was a bit fast today. Never that fast.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_07These bubbles are gonna destroy me.
SPEAKER_04So good.
SPEAKER_07Alright. Who knows what episode it is now?
SPEAKER_04No one knows. That's the mystery.
SPEAKER_07Hell at the moment, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Matias.
SPEAKER_06I'm Lauren.
SPEAKER_04We're gonna be your besties for an hour or an hour or so.
SPEAKER_07Right. Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's what I meant.
SPEAKER_07Sounds good.
SPEAKER_04How are you?
SPEAKER_07I'm I'm okay.
SPEAKER_04You're okay.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I've I've been um eating a lot of bad foods lately. Yeah, okay. And my body is catching up with that. Uh and it's not comfortable.
SPEAKER_04It's not good.
SPEAKER_07It's not good.
SPEAKER_04Bad food are not good food. Well, it tastes good, but it's not good for you.
SPEAKER_07No. How are you doing?
SPEAKER_04I'm doing well. Cool. I think. Alright. Yeah. I mean, yeah, it's it's good.
SPEAKER_07It's warm today. Yeah. It is summer.
SPEAKER_04It is.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I'm wearing shorts.
SPEAKER_04You are.
SPEAKER_07I am. My I I usually get a round of applause when I wear shorts. Every time I walk. From my own legs.
Train Trip To Astrid Lindgren’s World
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. Yeah, okay. From Lauren.
SPEAKER_07Yep. I give myself a round of applause just for getting up and walking to the kitchen, the bathroom.
SPEAKER_05Wherever you're walking.
SPEAKER_07Wherever I go, clapping for myself. Yep. I made that joke to my daughter once, and she thought it was really funny.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, okay. You're like, it's not that funny.
SPEAKER_07It's not that funny. We all uh suffer from large thighs. So yeah. She could relate.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07She's not that big though.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_07She has no idea.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_07She has no idea.
SPEAKER_04No idea.
SPEAKER_07No idea. Oh well.
SPEAKER_04Oh well.
SPEAKER_07Yep. Um, what ha have you have you done anything fun and exciting in the past week? When did we last record? Is that Thursday? Friday?
SPEAKER_04Friday.
SPEAKER_07Saturday. Sunday? Monday?
SPEAKER_04Friday?
SPEAKER_07Wednesday?
SPEAKER_04Friday.
SPEAKER_07Friday.
SPEAKER_04I think it might have been Friday.
SPEAKER_07Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_04Um yeah.
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah. I think I I think you're right. Yeah. Cool. Wow.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. What what happened?
SPEAKER_07Did you do anything last weekend?
SPEAKER_04I don't think so.
SPEAKER_07Nope. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Nothing fun.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_04Did you?
SPEAKER_07I don't remember what I did last weekend, but I went on a trip on Monday. We took a train. Uh, myself, my life partner, and Sick Child and I. Okay. Took a train. A few trains to Astrid Lingren's World.
SPEAKER_04Okay. And where is that?
SPEAKER_07Vimebi.
SPEAKER_04Vimebi.
SPEAKER_07Sweden.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. We went to Sweden. South. Or is it?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Well, we went through Eskins Tuna and uh Linshopping. I don't know where these places are, but I'm guessing they're southern. Yeah. Southern-ish.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_07Like midsummer, midway. Midsummer.
SPEAKER_05Midsummer.
SPEAKER_07They're like midsummer. Mid-southern.
SPEAKER_05You went through midsummer.
SPEAKER_07We went back in time. Somewhere in between here and the south, mid-southern. Yeah. I think in the small lands.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Small lands.
SPEAKER_07Everything was small. The houses were small and um everything was small.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07In the small lands. I'm guessing you haven't been there.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_07So I would know better than you. You just have to trust me that everything is small.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I trust you.
SPEAKER_07Small lands. The lands of the small Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. So we went there and um we stayed in a hotel for a couple nights. And when we went to this park, we really expected Sick Child to thoroughly enjoy everything and go see all the things that we wanted to see and do all the things that we wanted to do. But uh no.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07Because there's like small shows, like theater shows that they put on for all the, you know, Astrid Lingren characters and stories and stuff. He didn't want to watch them because he is six. Of course he doesn't. And he's really I mean, like, how interested is he in all of this anyway? So we had to break the news to his grandmother that this isn't happening. He just wants to play on the playgrounds because the playgrounds had tiny houses where he could go in and play around. And you know, other playgrounds. There were others, it's not just tiny houses. And that's just how it was.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And he did. He played a lot and he enjoyed the playgrounds. Yeah. And we had candy and ice cream and fika and yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07It was a good time.
SPEAKER_03Good.
SPEAKER_07And then we went back to the hotel and I had a few drinks. And yeah.
SPEAKER_04That was the end of that.
SPEAKER_07That was the end of that. Yup.
SPEAKER_04I had And then you were back.
SPEAKER_07And then I came back. Oh my goodness. My body doesn't really like traveling that much.
Travel Hangovers And A Car Part
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07It's exhausting. For some reason, it's exhausting.
SPEAKER_04For some reason you travel a lot.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Right now. That too. I'm just like traveling a lot and my body does not like it.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07I don't know if it's just the sitting around doing nothing for hours on end. Or if it's the actual vehicles that we are traveling in, like the trains and the buses. I don't know if it's like the shaking that's just like messing my body up. It's making makes me so uncomfortable. It's like headaches and my stomach is like turning and it's just it doesn't feel good. You get nauseous after a while.
SPEAKER_04Is it the same with planes?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I mean, a day of traveling is exhausting, and I don't even know why.
SPEAKER_04No. Car?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that too. Sometimes the car's even worse.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07I don't know. I don't know why. It might be the air. Yeah. Or lack thereof. I don't know. But yeah, it's summer and we do a lot of traveling.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well to random places.
SPEAKER_07I do. You do. I do.
SPEAKER_04I don't that much.
SPEAKER_07No. Uh so that's just how it is. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Um That's that was a noise. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07It was.
SPEAKER_04What the heck?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I never said I was gonna stop punching the table.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_07Uh yeah, so that's that's what I did. And then yesterday we drove back to Esquis Juna to fix the car.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07It had to have this special little fancy French part. Oh. Came from France. We could have just picked it up while we were in France, but hey. Whatever. Anyway, we did that, and while we were waiting, we got dropped off uh the nearby mall and I don't know, wandered around and there was a playground there too. And then we went back and then we went home. Yeah. That's all. That's what we did yesterday. Okay. Yeah. And now today is Friday.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07You got the day off.
SPEAKER_04I got the day off and I have a vacation now for a few weeks.
SPEAKER_07Congratulations.
SPEAKER_04Thank you. It's needed.
SPEAKER_07It's Friday. We watch movies.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah, we did. No, I I was I've been telling you this. Okay. Okay. Now I know. No, uh yes, we did.
SPEAKER_07We did. Uh wait, hold on. Today is July 24th.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And we watch movies. Would you like to move on?
SPEAKER_04Let's move on.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Yeah. So today we watched the week of 2018. I think that's what it's called.
SPEAKER_04Just the week of Oh.
SPEAKER_07In the title it said The Week of 2018.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but those were in on parenthes.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_042018.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. And the other one was uh Dremguakam, I think. Yeah. I think that's what it was called, because I don't remember. Okay. It was the house. House.
SPEAKER_04I usually call it I usually call it Yeah, well, we all have a penwin a uh penguins.
SPEAKER_07We all have penguins, don't we?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we do. Uh the money pit.
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah. You can call it whatever you want to.
SPEAKER_04Um or in Swedish it's called Hem de Urahem.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Yeah. Alright. We started with the Week of.
SPEAKER_04Yes. And that's your movie. So I'm gonna tell you about the Week of. So this is the story of a couple who's got and getting married, and uh this is the week before the marriage and uh the the families of the bride and groom. And uh yeah, it's uh so Adam Sandler is the dad to the bride and Chris Rock is the dad to the groom. Um and uh it's it's a lot. I mean i it's this movie is kind of like um situational, like it's not uh it it doesn't have much story, it's more like uh um just things happening. I don't know what what do you think and think?
SPEAKER_07What what do I think?
SPEAKER_04What do you think?
SPEAKER_07Think, okay. Um yes, you're right. It's chaos. Yeah, it's a chaos movie.
SPEAKER_04And that's it. It's also very like down to earth in a way, because I mean it's not uh I mean s the characters are kind of over the top, but still you would believe that there are people like that. And yeah. Yeah. And uh yeah, I don't know uh how much to tell you. What did you think about this movie?
SPEAKER_07I enjoyed the movie. Yeah. I kinda like chaos movies. Yeah. They're kinda fun. There's a lot going on, but it was I mean, pretty simple.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07It was chaotic, but it was simple.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Which is fun. I have not seen this movie before.
SPEAKER_04No. Have you? No.
SPEAKER_07No, I haven't. Cool.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07What did you think?
SPEAKER_04I uh thought it was kind of fun. It it was very uneven though. I feel like uh some parts were really funny and some parts weren't that funny.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04You know, I I still enjoyed the movie. It was quite funny, but uh yeah, some parts weren't that funny.
Movie Night Pick The Week Of
SPEAKER_06Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Sounds good.
SPEAKER_04It got laughs from me though. Yep. Especially when uh uh Chris Rock hurt himself after a dream.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That scene was so so funny. I don't know. And also the when people just uh um pulled uh things um uh in the head of the older guy, you know. He got like a TV on his head, uh the old legless guy, and then he got something else on like everything fell on his head. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But yeah. I I guess I like the slapstick parts. Um I'm but you know I like slapsticks, so yeah.
SPEAKER_07I I like the awkward part when there was a couple of random black guys just walking by and Adam Sandler invited them in thinking that they were in Chris Rock's family. Just assuming.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And got invited in for breakfast. Yeah. That was nice.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And then they just kind of became part of the family.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Since he invited them, why not?
SPEAKER_07Sure. Yeah, thank you.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_07Uh Steve Bushami was in this one.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07As well. And oh, uh, what's her name? Is her name Rachel?
SPEAKER_04Rachel Dratch.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um I like that she got a bigger role than she usually does.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04She was the wife to Adam Sandler. That was nice.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. She's uh Debbie Downer.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07From SNL.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_07Which is funny. That's all I know her from.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, me too. And like cameos from Adam Sandler movies. Yeah. That's pretty much it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And also Lady from Bones or Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, she was there. I don't remember her name. No. But she was in Bones.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Which I used to watch all the time.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Yeah, never seen it, so but it's pretty good.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Yeah. Well, it was when I was watching it. I don't know how it is now.
SPEAKER_04No. Is it still on?
SPEAKER_07No. No. No.
SPEAKER_04Because some of those uh series just keeps going. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Mm-hmm. Uh who else? Was that it?
SPEAKER_04I feel like it must be someone else.
SPEAKER_07I'm not sure if I recognized anyone else.
SPEAKER_04No, maybe not.
SPEAKER_07That's too bad.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Oh well.
SPEAKER_04I was expecting Chris Rock to have a bigger role though. Or or at least in the beginning. Because I'm like, where's Chris Rock? It's just like Adam Sandler.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it was a lots of focus on Adam Sandler.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, I still uh I liked the movie.
SPEAKER_07It was still good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
Best Bits And Cast Shoutouts
SPEAKER_07Uh shall we go on to the next one?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we can go on to The Money Pit? Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Wasn't in Brad Pitt in a movie with a similar title.
SPEAKER_04Moneyball.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I guess he was Money Pit there.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Money Brad Pitt.
SPEAKER_07Alright. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay. It's like the same thing. Um okay, so this
The Money Pit And Renovation Flashbacks
SPEAKER_07is a movie with Tom Hanks. Yeah. Not Tom Cruise. No.
SPEAKER_04But they're not the same person.
SPEAKER_07They're not. Persons.
SPEAKER_04The same person.
SPEAKER_07I don't know. Uh, but they're not. Um, but uh he was there and he has a girlfriend.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07And the guy from Die Hard is in this movie.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Mm-hmm. And uh Tom Hanks and his girlfriend get kicked out of the place that we're they were staying in and had to find a house. And so they found a house and it looked really good, and then they moved in, and then it all fell apart.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And then they fell apart.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_07That's what happened.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07What do you think about this movie?
SPEAKER_04I love this movie.
SPEAKER_07You've seen it.
SPEAKER_04I've seen it many times. And yeah, it's uh I think it's really funny. And like you said, uh it could be called Drumkoken, because uh Drumkoken was like uh it's uh It was like the same thing. Yeah, remake of this. A Swedish remake of this movie. Yeah basically. Okay, but with bad guys.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um but yeah, I There's no bad guys in this movie.
SPEAKER_07No, no, not The House is the bad guy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Uh but yes, I really like this one. And I think this must be like my mom's favorite Tom Hanks movie ever.
SPEAKER_06Not Tom Cruise.
SPEAKER_04No, he's not in this movie. If he was maybe.
SPEAKER_07Maybe. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Um yeah. What did you think?
SPEAKER_07I enjoyed this movie as well. I um was getting flashbacks with this movie because I recently was uh renovating a kitchen and there were a lot of workers working on the whole house and yeah, yeah, it was a big mess, and then it wasn't a big mess anymore. Which was basically my whole uh states trip wrapped into one little package.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yep. I like the movie, it was good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Well, I guess I guess the die hard guy could have been the bad guy of this movie in a way. Because he kind of tried to sabotage their relationship and it worked for a bit.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And then the house got fixed and they were better again.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I don't know. I don't know how long it took.
SPEAKER_04No, but he also kind of fixed the problem. He caused the problem and then he fixed it too. Kind of in a way, yeah. He helped them fix it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So he was like a uh worker on their relationship. Yeah. He was like a carpenter, relationship carpenter.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I guess. That's one way to put it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Alright. Um that's all I have.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I've never seen this one.
SPEAKER_04No, okay.
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I uh you have. I have, and I really like it very much. Cool. I think it's kind of funny that um uh like we talked about that uh Drumkoken was um uh like a remake and that uh movie stars uh Bjorn Hwiffs. Yes. And Björn Hwiffs plays or voices Woody in Toy Story One and Two.
SPEAKER_07Oh, that's funny.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so he's like uh Sweden's Tom Hanks.
SPEAKER_07I guess so. But he wasn't in that many movies, right? No.
SPEAKER_04No, he wasn't.
SPEAKER_07We only saw like three.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's all the movies he was in, right?
SPEAKER_04Uh I think he was in maybe a couple more, but uh Maybe we saw two. We saw three.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_04We saw Strull, Joker, and Tom Coke.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Okay. Tom Hanks has been in more movies than that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's a fact.
SPEAKER_04And I don't know that. I don't know if he sings.
SPEAKER_07Has Tom Hanks ever didn't he sing kind of in the Polar Express?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Maybe.
SPEAKER_07And he does sing.
SPEAKER_04And in big. Okay. Yeah. Or maybe it's not really a sing, it's more like the the friend thing. Where they like du or you know, almost like that thing.
SPEAKER_06Oh, the hand clapping thing.
SPEAKER_07Okay. I don't know. No. I don't remember this.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07That doesn't mean it didn't happen.
SPEAKER_04No. I'm pretty sure it happened.
SPEAKER_07I'm not sure if Tom Hanks ever had a singing career.
SPEAKER_04No. I think Björn Chiffs had a bigger singing career than Tom Hanks.
SPEAKER_07He did have a singing career.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he's the Uga Shaka guy.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. Hooks on the ceiling.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's my kind of song. As I'm putting up lamps.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07No one thinks I'm funny though. Alright. I'm done here. Would you like to take a break?
Quick Break Then Reset
SPEAKER_04Yeah, let's take a break.
SPEAKER_07Alright. We'll be right back.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I think. Okay.
SPEAKER_07Hello.
SPEAKER_04We're back.
SPEAKER_07We're back. How are you doing? I'm good. Okay. Hanging in there? You wanna continue? Yeah. Keep going.
SPEAKER_04I don't know what we're doing though.
SPEAKER_07Okay. I was thinking about doing something just for fun. I don't remember what we were just talking about. But
Astrology Readings For Both Hosts
SPEAKER_07what do you know about like astrology?
SPEAKER_04Not much.
SPEAKER_07Not much.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Do you know what your sign is?
SPEAKER_04Is it called Pisces or something? What what is it? I like pies.
SPEAKER_07Oh well, it's fish. They're fish.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Do you like fish? Uh uh. Not as much as not sound good. Do you like fish pie?
SPEAKER_04I I I enjoy fish on pizza. And pizza is like a pie.
SPEAKER_07You like shrimp on pizza.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I I also like tuna on pizza.
SPEAKER_07Oh, okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_04So yeah.
SPEAKER_07Alright. I'm not judging you. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Fish pie. I'm a fish pie.
SPEAKER_07You are a fish pie.
SPEAKER_04What are you?
SPEAKER_07I'm a Gemini. I'm twins.
SPEAKER_04Gemini.
SPEAKER_07So I asked Open Eyes to uh read my astrology or whatever, because I don't know how to say it. Read my things.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Read my things.
SPEAKER_07Read my things. And it asked for my birth date, the time I was born, and where I was born.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07And it came up with something. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04You did that to both of us?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. So it says, here's a traditional astrological interpretation for reflection and entertainment rather than scientific prediction. My big three. I don't know what any of this means. Just a heads up. Okay. Okay. But so I'm gonna say a whole bunch of words and you can just say, okay. Alright.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Sun in Gemini. Apparently that means something.
SPEAKER_04Sun.
SPEAKER_07Sun, like the sun in the sky. Okay. The sun. It's a star.
SPEAKER_04In Gemini.
SPEAKER_07Gemini. Yeah. Whatever that means. Just okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_07I don't know. I don't know what it means. But just okay.
SPEAKER_04Maybe the sun has a twin.
SPEAKER_07I'm maybe. I never seen it, but No, it's on the other side of the world.
SPEAKER_04No, the moon is the world.
SPEAKER_07No, because the moon is something else. Yeah. Anyway. So this is uh a a guess on my personality. Okay. So curious, it means I'm curious, adaptable, and driven to learn. Uh Geminis often thrive when they're communicating, organizing information, and juggling different interests. That aligns well with my interest in project and production management.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07I asked my open eyes, not the general one.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07Because it knows me. Okay. The moon is in Pisces. That's you. Oh.
SPEAKER_04But Moon Pie.
SPEAKER_07Moon The Moon is in pie.
SPEAKER_04Moon Pisces. I does that mean like cheese pie?
SPEAKER_07Maybe.
SPEAKER_04I like cheese. And I like pie.
SPEAKER_07I've made a cheese pie. A ham and cheese pie. It's pretty good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, fish and cheese pie.
SPEAKER_07Ew, no, no, it's okay. Let's leave the fish out of it.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Emotionally sensitive, compassionate, and intuitive intuitive. I tend, or it says you. Maybe I should just read it as it is. You tend to feel things deeply and may absorb the emotions of people around you. Creative outlets can be especially important to you. So yeah, I I sense when something's wrong, which is why I ask, what's wrong? Yeah. Because I feel things deeply and absorb your emotions.
SPEAKER_04Okay. You do that.
SPEAKER_07So if there's something wrong with you, then there's gonna be something wrong with me, and then we gotta figure that out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Likely Scorpio rising. That's a scorpion.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I don't know what that means. So okay.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Assuming my birth time is accurate, which it I'm pretty sure it is. That's what it says on my birth certificate. Uh 445. Okay. It's in the afternoon. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Wait, so these uh these are all you, right? Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_07I'm getting to you. Yeah, I I'm there is a lot of things I had to say about that.
SPEAKER_04I I'm uh thinking when you were talking Pisces, I I was like, that's me.
SPEAKER_07No, that's still me. Okay. Uh apparently, I don't know. These were where the sun and the moon were when I was born. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04So sun and moon and rising.
SPEAKER_07Something's rising.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Scorpions.
SPEAKER_04Scorpions rising.
SPEAKER_07Uh I'm guessing we got attacked by scorpions at the moment where they were floating up like evaporating.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_07Like water. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, maybe.
SPEAKER_07This is a weird thing that's going on in the world. Yeah. I I didn't experience any of it. I was in a hospital.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you forgot about it.
SPEAKER_07I forgot.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I don't remember this.
SPEAKER_04No, no one's talking about it.
SPEAKER_07No, it wasn't in the news or anything.
SPEAKER_04No. We pretend like it never happens.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that's weird. Okay. You may come across as determined, private, and perceptive. People often see Scorpio risings as resilient and intense, even if they don't feel that way inside. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07My strengths? Yeah. I am excellent at connecting ideas and people.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07I don't know. Okay. Uh creative with practical organizational ability. Strong intuition about people's motivations.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07So if you're up to no good. Apparently I'm supposed to catch that.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07I pick that up.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Yup. I don't know. Loyal once you've committed to something.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_07Until I don't feel loyal anymore. And then I'm just yeah, okay. Done with that. Uh yeah. My challenges, which I guess is a fun way of saying my weaknesses, because it started with strength. So I don't know why it wouldn't say weaknesses, but challenges.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's the politically correct way of saying that I have weaknesses.
SPEAKER_04Everyone likes a challenge.
SPEAKER_07Yep. I am a challenge. You may overthink decisions or keep too many options open. Hi. Hi. That is my biggest challenge.
SPEAKER_04That is my middle name.
SPEAKER_07Overthinking. Yes. Uh Gemini and Pisces together, which is not you. It has nothing to do with you. Okay. It was me. It's not about you.
SPEAKER_04So it's uh twin fish.
SPEAKER_07Twin fishies together. Can make it easy to dream big, but harder to stay focused on one path. Hello, that is me too.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay. You may put others' needs at a uh deciba. That's what it says.
SPEAKER_04At a high decibel.
SPEAKER_07At a high decibel. Kind of. You may put others' needs. Why is this difficult? I can't read. You may put others' needs ahead of your own and struggle with boundaries.
SPEAKER_04Ah, okay. That makes more sense, actually. Maybe.
SPEAKER_07My career.
SPEAKER_04If you had one.
SPEAKER_07If I ever had a career, this would be it. Yeah. Looking into the future when I grow up. Astrologically, careers that combine communication, planning, creativity, and leadership fit your chart well, such as production or project management. Yeah, okay. Event management, media or television, education or training, okay, marketing or communications, which is not really something I like to do, but it is there. Okay. Gonna talk about love.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay. I likely value. Deep emotional connection. Honest conversation. Okay, sometimes, not always. I like to avoid conversations, maybe.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07A partner who gives you both security and freedom to grow. Yeah, okay. The next year. Astrologic astrologer astrologers, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's a word.
SPEAKER_07It is.
SPEAKER_04Plural.
SPEAKER_07Astrologers would say this is a period of building long-term stability, developing new professional skills, and letting go of goals that no longer fit you. Creating a stronger foundation for your future rather than chasing quick results. Okay. Well, that was fun.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Let's talk about you.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07I put in your birthday and the time you were born and where you were born, and I got these results.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Here's a traditional astrological reading of Matias.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Your son is in Pisces. That means you are, uh, probably compassionate, imaginative, and empathetic. That sound about right?
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_07No. Okay.
SPEAKER_04None of the above. I don't know. What what would you say?
SPEAKER_07Imaginative.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I guess.
SPEAKER_07Compassionate when you want to be.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I guess. Pisces are often creative, emotionally aware, and drawn to music, storytelling, or helping others.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I mean, music and storytelling, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_04Helping others? Sometimes.
SPEAKER_07Here's some bad news. Your moon is likely in cancer.
SPEAKER_05Oh no.
SPEAKER_07I think your moons have cancer.
SPEAKER_05Moon cancer.
SPEAKER_07Have you tried going to the doctor?
SPEAKER_05Is that cancer in the ass?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. You have butt cancer. And uh that's a problem. You should probably fix that before it gets worse. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Uh stop mooning.
SPEAKER_07No one wants to see that. That's gross.
SPEAKER_05I don't want to see your cancer.
SPEAKER_07No. Okay. So this means butt cancer means you're nurturing, protective, and deeply loyal. This placement often indicates someone who forms strong emotional bonds and values close close friendships. I don't know what I was about to say there. Close friendships and family.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07You like these things. Okay. And then you have likely cancer rising. More cancer. All over. You're not okay.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Which means you are gentle and approachable on the outside, but cautious about who gets to know the real person underneath. People may naturally trust you.
SPEAKER_04So few people get to know my real person. Yeah. Sounds about right.
SPEAKER_07You sound about right. I'd say so.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Few people know it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, because they don't get to know it.
SPEAKER_04No, exactly.
SPEAKER_07That's how it should be.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Uh your personality. Matias's chart suggests someone who has a vivid imagination, cares deeply about the people in his life, prefers meaningful conversations over small talk.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_07Which, yeah, sounds about right. How often do you enjoy small talk?
SPEAKER_04Not very often.
SPEAKER_07Okay. You'd rather just not say anything at all.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Let's just sit here in silence, please. Um. Is intuitive and often picks up on other people's moods.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, maybe.
SPEAKER_07Do you think you can read me when something's wrong?
SPEAKER_04I think so.
SPEAKER_07You think so? Okay. Um, one challenge for Pisces cancer energy is that it can be easy to absorb other people's emotions, making it important to set healthy boundaries. Okay, your career. We're gonna talk about this. Okay. We need to fix something. Astrologically, I said it this time.
SPEAKER_03Cool.
SPEAKER_07He may you, you, Matias, may thrive in roles involving creative work like writing, media, music, and design, teaching or mentoring. Counseling or support roles. Like supporting people, not like supporting roles in the movie.
SPEAKER_04Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_07You could either be a counselor or play supporting roles.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07These are your options. Okay. Um, project work where collaboration is valued. In other words, you would rely heavily on other people. They can do the work and you can take the credits, right? Are you one of those people?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Were you that kid in group projects where you just like sat there and let everyone else do the work and then sat there and nodded your head? It's like, yep, sounds about right.
SPEAKER_04Maybe. I remember like uh having like the worst grades. Grades, yeah. Uh, on like all my tests except for the group tests. Yes. And I'm like, uh, I can see a pattern here. So yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I feel like I was I was kind of that person who let everyone else do the work, but I felt bad about it, so I kind of tried it every now and then. But like I I don't think I gave that much input. I would do the drawings and stuff. Okay. But that's it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I wouldn't write that much.
SPEAKER_04No. And I just assume I I suck at everything. So it would just ruin everything.
SPEAKER_07You guys understand this way more than I do. So I I tell me what to do, I'll do it. Yeah. But I'm not gonna come up with any answers. Okay. Your relationships.
SPEAKER_04Okay. You if I ever had one.
SPEAKER_07If you ever had a relationship, this is what you're looking for.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Here's the answers that you're looking for. You are looking for emotional safety and trust, loyalty over excitement. So nothing too exciting.
SPEAKER_03No, okay.
SPEAKER_07A partner and friends who are honest and dependable. I mean, who doesn't want that? This is very gin general for everyone. I feel like anyone would want any of this. You're just one of everyone else.
SPEAKER_04You want good people in the world.
SPEAKER_07Yeah? What? When you trust someone, you tend to be very devoted. Comparing us two, uh our charts have some interesting complementary qualities. So I bring ideas, curiosity, and communication, while you bring empathy, imagination, and emotional depth. Do you though? Okay. Gemini and Pisces approach the world differently. Gemini tends to analyze while Pisces tends to feel, but that difference can work well if both people appreciate each other's strengths. Can I appreciate your strengths?
SPEAKER_04I don't know. Can you?
SPEAKER_07Sometimes I can appreciate your height. Yeah. Which I guess could be a strength. But I don't think that has anything to do with your personality.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07Sorry. I only like your physical being, and that's it.
SPEAKER_04You don't appreciate my personality.
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_04No, okay.
SPEAKER_07I like your body. Because you're tall. Yeah. And you can reach the snacks from the snack shelf.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, good.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, then I keep the snacks too.
SPEAKER_07That's That's that's a challenge.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Because then you can hold the snacks above my head and I can't reach. Still.
SPEAKER_04So then And then you get sad and We're fighting. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07That's how it is. That's just how it is.
SPEAKER_04This is every movie night, by the way.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. This happens weekly. Uh both of us have charts that emphasize creativity and communication, which fits well with something like the podcast. The one that we're doing right now. Yeah. Yeah. This one. You may naturally generate ideas and keep conversations moving while he, okay, you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I think I'm the he.
SPEAKER_07You are the he. Okay. Obviously. Well, he may add emotional insight and imagination. That makes sense. That's kind of what this is, I guess.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Maybe.
SPEAKER_07Uh astrology.
SPEAKER_04You also have uh you also provide that though.
SPEAKER_07Sometimes.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, with the history lessons and everything.
SPEAKER_07If I ever come up with something. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And then I kind of help you in in some ways.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So it's more like collaborating.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I guess so.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. It's like a group test.
SPEAKER_07We kind of rely on each other to get the thing done.
SPEAKER_04We both suck, but we still get something.
SPEAKER_07Yep. Uh let's see. Astrology can't determine whether a relationship or friendship will succeed. But many astrologers would say your charts suggest a connection that can be inspiring and supportive. Especially when you communicate openly and respect your different ways of processing the world. The end.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that that's true. We are kind of different, but uh as long as we respect each other's point of view, it'll be fine. Everything will be fine.
SPEAKER_07I guess. Maybe.
SPEAKER_04Maybe. Who knows? Maybe not.
SPEAKER_07Do you have questions or should I come up with something else?
SPEAKER_04Come up with something else.
SPEAKER_07Okay. What are
Compatibility Challenges Head Versus Heart
SPEAKER_07some challenges we can face based on our astrologies? Astrologies.
SPEAKER_05Ostriches.
SPEAKER_07Ostriches.
SPEAKER_05Based on ostriches.
SPEAKER_07Okay. So number one is head versus heart. Okay. So me, the Gemini, tend to process things by thinking, talking, and analyzing. Uh and I may want to discuss a problem immediately.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07We can relate. Yeah. Okay. Matias, which is you, the Pisces, tends to process through emotions and intuition, and you may need time alone before talking. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07This can create a cycle where you feel he, which is you in this situation. He's withdrawing while he feels pressured to respond before he's ready. Can you relate?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Number two. Logic versus feelings. The Gemini, which is me, often asks, does this make sense? And then you, the Pisces, often ask, how does this feel?
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Okay, sure. In disagreement, I might focus on facts while you focus on emotional impact. Neither approach is wrong, they're just different.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I don't know.
SPEAKER_07I don't uh uh I don't think I uh absorbed anything there. Number three, unless you did, and you have something to say.
SPEAKER_04Well, I'm I'm thinking I we're both kind of you know emotional people who are not just logic. I wouldn't say that one is just logic and the other one's emotional. I think both are kind of emotional.
SPEAKER_07That makes sense.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_07I think you're right.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Number three is communication. Gemini energy enjoys variety and quick conversations. Uh so this is taking too long.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07Apparently. Because I'd rather this conversation was over already. Okay. According to this. Yeah. Not what I'm actually thinking.
SPEAKER_04No, because I'm the one who likes long conversation, that that doesn't No. I don't know. I let you continue.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Pisces energy can communicate indirectly or avoid conflict if they're worried about hurting someone. Okay. An astrologer might suggest making sure expectations are stated clearly instead of assuming the other person just knows. Okay. Number four.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_07Boundaries. Pisces is often described as compassionate to the point of taking on other people's burdens. I don't know. Don't look at me. Gemini can unintentionally keep conversations going by exploring every angle.
SPEAKER_04I don't take other people's burdens.
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_04I don't think so. No, not really. No. Okay.
SPEAKER_07No. Together. Well, let me just finish whatever it says and then we can leave it. Okay? Together that could mean talking about problems without reaching a conclusion and carrying emotional weight for each other instead of solving what's actually within your control. We'll just cross that out. Yeah, whatever. Number five, different sources of motivation. I may become energized by new ideas, new projects, and learning something different. While Matthias may be more motivated by inspiration, emotional connection, and feeling that something has deeper meaning. Meaning.
SPEAKER_05Deeper meetings.
SPEAKER_07Deeper meetings. This meeting could be deeper.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Let's get to that point.
SPEAKER_04Deeper.
SPEAKER_07Deeper. Let's go deeper. Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_04Like a submarine. Maybe a yellow one.
SPEAKER_07I might think that you're procrastinating while you might think that I'm moving too quickly.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Whoa.
SPEAKER_04That sounds about right.
SPEAKER_07Maybe. Okay, so there's some strengths that balance those challenges, which I don't really want to talk about. So uh uh that's all. That's all I want to say about that. Uh, one thing that stands out, based on the birth information that I shared, neither chart suggests a relationship that's doomed or perfect. It's somewhere in the middle.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Imperfect. But I mean, not terrible.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_07Astrologers would be more likely to say that your compatibility depends on how well you appreciate your differences. Appreciate your differences. The biggest recurring theme is communication styles. Learning when to explain, when to listen, and when to give each other space. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yes. Yeah, I I feel like maybe that's that's a good way to look at it, I guess. What do you think?
SPEAKER_07I feel like it's 90% accurate. 85.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Not all of it, but yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. That's all.
SPEAKER_07Feel good?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
What’s Ruining Our Lives And Goodbye
SPEAKER_07Alright. Well then as we reach the end of the episode.
SPEAKER_04Reach it.
SPEAKER_07I'm reaching it. I'm reaching the end of the episode. Uh would you please tell me what is ruining your life?
SPEAKER_04What is ruining my life? Uh vacation.
SPEAKER_07You have nothing to do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07All this time, nothing to do. What now? What's next?
SPEAKER_04I feel like uh things not going as planned.
SPEAKER_07I'm sorry. Oh my god, it's all my fault.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. No. No, it's not just you. It's more things planned that doesn't seem to work out, you know. I and yeah, that's sad. Okay. I I wish more things could go as planned, but uh you know, it is what it is. Yeah. And uh yeah. How about you? What's ruining your life?
SPEAKER_07My body. Always. Okay. Always. I mean, I'm just so uncomfortable all the time, it feels like. I don't know. Traveling ruins my body.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_07I guess.
SPEAKER_04And it ruins your life.
SPEAKER_07It does. It ruins my life.
SPEAKER_04And you still have a lot of traveling in front of you.
SPEAKER_07Yes. Yeah. I've got a couple more trips this summer.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Next one is next week. Yeah. So I will see you on Thursday.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_07Mm-hmm. Alright.
SPEAKER_04Movie day.
SPEAKER_07Movie day. Yeah. Alright. Are you all out of sips? Oh my goodness. Did you have to?
SPEAKER_04Let's say I'm all out of sips.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I'm also gonna say I'm out of sips because if I take one more sip, I'm probably gonna pee myself.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07I've peed at least ten times today.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And that means we're all out of episode.
SPEAKER_07That's exactly what it means.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Gotta zoom through this before I start peeing myself.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
