Aiman Rahman & Summan Rahman, Biomedical Engineering students at The University of Texas at Dallas are going to share how they successfully navigate college and the internship landscape by leaning into the power of Mentors.
Aiman Rahman was a freshman in college during the COVID pandemic. Looking for ways to get involved and make connections, she stumbled upon Wmwe, a mentorship program. Initially unsure of what it entailed, Aiman attended a kickoff meeting and found it to be a valuable opportunity. She quickly took on a leadership role within the organization, wanting to spread the benefits of mentorship to other students on campus. Her involvement with Wmwe has been a rewarding experience, both personally and for those she has been able to help.
Suman Rahman joined Women Mentoring Women in Engineering at UT Dallas during her freshman year. Through the club, she learned from industry professionals like Sirisha in electrical and biomedical engineering. As a freshman,
