Does This Offend You?

John 6:60-69 
When Jesus promises us eternal life it is an invitation to become by grace what Christ is by nature. It means that we give up who we are in exchange for who Christ is, a demand that may seem "offensive." This moment and process of sanctification begins now, not after we die. It is accomplished as we participate in the life-giving ways of Jesus. Are we willing to find our life only in that which may be an offense to the rest of the world?
