Host Chuck Abadie talks with Vanka Gulley, Department Chair of Dental Assisting at Pearl River Community College, about the one-year Dental Assisting program at the Forrest County Campus. Gulley explains the role of dental assistants, the difference between dental assisting and dental hygiene, and the hands-on training students receive through labs and clinical rotations in local dental offices.
The conversation also highlights the strong job demand for dental assistants and an upcoming information session for students interested in starting the program.
