The Astral Dimensions

The Most Effective Astral Projection Techniques

Vincent Field Season 1 Episode 3

In this episode of Astral Dimensions, out of body explorer Vincent Field provides detailed, step by step instructions on the two most effective astral projection techniques that he has ever used to produce consistent out of body experiences over a period of almost 23 years.

The first technique Vince describes, which is a unique variation of the wake back to bed method (WBTB), is one he started using as a beginner which produced incredible results.

The second technique explained in this episode is an evolution of the first technique which was fine tuned over the years to produce even faster and more reliable projections.

this is the astral Dimensions podcast

hello everyone I'm your host Vince and

in this episode of Astral Dimensions I'm

going to teach you one of the most

effective astral projection techniques

that I've ever used

now the technique that I currently use

is actually an evolution of another

technique that I learned 22 years ago

when I first started astral projecting

so what I'm going to do is explain the

original technique that I used back in

the day and then explain how it evolved

to what it is today

so before I get into the details of this

technique

it's important that we discuss the

prerequisites okay these are things that

are required for essentially any astral

projection technique

the main prerequisite is that you need

to enter the Mind awake body asleep

state

in other words your body needs to fall

asleep and your mind needs to remain

awake and aware

so this is most easily achieved in the

early morning because your body and mind

are already in the ideal state to have

an out of Body Experience

the body is already deeply relaxed and

can usually fall back to sleep very

quickly while the mind is already rested

so it's much easier to remain aware

during the attempt

now contrast this with attempting astral

projection during the day or at night

during the day your body will probably

not be able to fall asleep immediately

or at all

and at night your mind is probably

exhausted and needs to rest so it's much

more difficult to maintain awareness as

the body falls asleep

so these are not the ideal times to try

to leave your body

now aside from attempting astral

projection in the ideal state of body

and mind which is in the early morning

there are several other key factors that

need to be taken into consideration

one is motivation

the more motivated you are the greater

your chances at success

two is dedication and consistency

everything takes practice and with

practice comes progress development and

Improvement

three is confidence you need to be

confident in your ability to do this

if you have doubt or fear these will

hold you back from successfully having

an out of Body Experience

four is beliefs

if you have any beliefs that go against

astral projection in any way this can be

a huge hindrance in your success

for example if you have a belief that

astral projection is impossible or that

you'll never be able to do it or that

it's an immoral practice or that it's

dangerous

these beliefs can manifest through your

subconscious mind

by sabotaging your attempts

so now that the prerequisites are clear

let's get into the technique

so this was the second astral projection

technique that I ever learned and it was

so effective that it worked almost

immediately

so the first step is to wake up after

about six hours of sleep

the second step is to stay awake for 30

minutes to an hour

now while you're awake you want to focus

on your intention of having an out of

Body Experience

I used to get up and read about astral

projection I would read books and

websites and anything I could find about

astral projection

so during this time that you're awake

you want to keep your body relaxed you

don't want to do any physical exercises

or get too stimulated because after this

you need to go back to sleep and this is

the third step

go back to bed

lay on your back and perform a third eye

meditation with affirmations this is

designed to program the subconscious

mind to trigger a conscious Out of Body

Experience

how this works is the third eye chakra

acts as a link or a channel to the

subconscious mind so directing

affirmations to the third eye can be

very effective

so what you want to do is focus your

attention on the area between your

eyebrows a couple inches inside your

head

which is where the third eye chakra is

located

try to really feel this spot

you can even visualize a small dark

purple Vortex of swirling energy in that

area of your head if you find that

helpful

but the most important thing is to try

to actually feel the energy there with

your awareness

so Focus all of your attention on that

spot in your head

now you need to choose an affirmation to

achieve your goal which is to keep the

Mind awake as the body falls asleep and

have an out of Body Experience

so for example you could say

my mind is awake and my body is asleep

and I'm consciously leaving my body

or I'm aware as my body falls asleep and

I easily float out of my body

so repeat these affirmations out loud

for a couple minutes while focusing on

the third eye chakra and as you repeat

the affirmations Envision them entering

your third eye like it's a portal or a

black hole that is sucking in and

absorbing the affirmations

so after a couple minutes stop saying

the affirmations out loud but continue

to repeat them in your mind

as you repeat the affirmation silently

while focusing on the third eye chakra

allow yourself to Drift Off to Sleep

if the attempt was successful either

your body will fall asleep

but your mind will remain awake

or what happens sometimes is that you'll

momentarily lose Consciousness and

briefly fall asleep

but you're immediately awaken in the

mind awake body asleep state

and at this point it's common to feel

vibrations all over your body

or some kind of buzzing sensation in

your head

which is a sign that the projection is

beginning

now once this happens you want to keep

calm and create the feeling of movements

it can be floating up or rolling to the

side

falling backwards or something similar

to this

and it's important to try to actually

feel this Movement by remembering What

that particular movement feels like

visualization is not required but it can

be helpful

so for example you can feel yourself

falling backwards and you can visualize

yourself falling from an airplane and

dropping through the clouds

but the most important thing is to

create the feeling Within

it's this that is going to trigger the

separation of the energy body from the

physical body

so once the projection is triggered it's

important to stay calm and just go with

the flow

getting too excited or scared will most

likely end the experience

so after years of using this technique I

started to realize that the amount of

time I stayed awake after waking up

wasn't that important

it worked after staying awake for a

couple hours

and it would work after staying awake

for just a couple minutes

and I realized that reducing the amount

of time staying awake would only make

the process faster and more efficient

and eventually I realized that I didn't

have to really wake up at all if I woke

up and immediately did the meditation it

would produce almost an instant effect

and I would be out of my body sometimes

within seconds

and I also realized that I didn't need

to do the third eye meditation with

affirmations anymore

by that time it was already firmly

implanted into my subconscious mind

and the entire process was like second

nature

and this process of fine-tuning the

original technique took years of

practice and experimentation and trial

and error

so now let's dive in to my current

technique

which I call The Sweet Spot

some of the steps are similar or even

the same as the original technique

but I'm going to cover the entire

process so that it's clear

so to start this technique is most

effective after about six hours of sleep

although the technique Works after any

amount of sleep whether it's a few hours

or a full night of sleep

now to help you wake up at the ideal

time you can set an alarm but make sure

the alarm isn't too loud or startling

but just loud enough to wake you up

the alarm should also be short and turn

off by itself so you don't have to

physically move to turn it off

you can even set multiple alarms to

awaken you throughout the night at

particular intervals like every hour and

a half

which would correspond with the average

sleep cycle so you would ideally awaken

towards the end of each REM stage of

sleep

and this way you have multiple

opportunities to have an out of body

experience every day

now I wouldn't recommend setting the

first alarm for at least four hours of

sleep

because it's important to get that deep

rest in the first few hours of sleep

and it's best to be undisturbed in that

initial sleep period

you can also just make your attempts

every time you wake up naturally during

the night or in the morning

so the next step is to remember your

intention to have an out of body

experience and you need to remember this

the moment you wake up

it's also very helpful if you remain

completely still when you wake up

the sooner after Awakening you make your

attempt the faster and easier it usually

is to leave your body

and that's why it's important to do this

immediately after waking up

but the tricky part is actually

remembering

it can also be challenging to remain

completely still after you wake up

because we tend to stretch and move

automatically the moment we awaken

now it's important to know that this

method works even if you do move so in

the case that you wake up and

accidentally move don't worry about it

just continue the technique and move on

to the next step

now there are two main techniques that

really help me with this over the years

the first was affirmations

I would fall asleep at night while

mentally repeating an affirmation such

as the instant I wake up I remain

completely still and leave my body

a positive affirmation such as I remain

completely still is more effective than

a negative affirmation such as I don't

move

you want to focus on what you do want to

do not what you don't want to do

this serves as a type of self-hypnosis

or subconscious programming and it can

have incredible results it can also be

really helpful to actually imagine

yourself carry out the attempt the night

before

so in addition to the affirmations you

can picture in your mind what you're

going to do the next morning going

through all the steps of this technique

and really try to feel yourself being

successful at having an out of Body

Experience

be confident that it's going to happen

the second thing that helped me was

making a custom alarm which consisted of

a bell ringing followed by my voice

saying remain still don't move

and this repeated a few times so I would

begin to wake up as the bell rang and

then I would immediately hear my own

voice telling me to keep still

which served as an instant reminder

now it's also recommended to lie on your

back and this is not necessary but the

idea here is that you don't want to be

in too comfortable of a position because

that increases the likelihood of you

falling asleep

just a slight amount of discomfort can

help keep your mind aware as your body

falls asleep

if you wake up and you're able to

immediately remember your intention of

leaving your body and you keep still

then your position doesn't really matter

so just go on to the next step from

there but if you wake up and

accidentally move and you find yourself

not on your back

then gently roll over onto your back and

continue the method you've already

broken the do not move rule so a quick

roll won't make a difference at this

point

just make sure it's a gentle movement so

you don't wake up even further

so the next step is to allow yourself to

almost fall asleep

now this one can seem confusing

try to fall back to sleep but don't fall

back to sleep

what does that mean well essentially

it's a matter of allowing yourself to

almost fall back to sleep but catching

yourself and regaining full awareness

just before losing consciousness

so to do this remember what it feels

like to fall asleep

and just let go allowing all tension to

release from your body and imagine

yourself sinking into the bed

you should also momentarily release your

mental focus and briefly slip into the

enjoyment of falling asleep but at the

same time you need to hold the intention

of remaining awake and you need to

maintain a degree of awareness until you

feel the sensations of the body starting

to fall asleep as described in the next

step

you need to be waiting for these

Sensations to kick in and that'll be the

sign that the projection is about to

begin

when you start to feel these Sensations

bring your mind back to full awareness

and regain a strong mental focus

so essentially you're allowing a

momentary lapse but not a complete lapse

in your awareness and focus

so that the initial stage of the Sleep

process begins

but you don't allow yourself to slip so

deep that you lose Consciousness and

fall asleep

now it may take a little practice at

figuring out how deep you can let your

mind slip without falling asleep so if

you have the tendency of falling asleep

at this point then keep a stronger

mental focus until you find that sweet

spot you can also repeat an affirmation

as you allow yourself to almost fall

back to sleep

such as I become fully aware and project

from my body while understanding that

the onset of the sensations of your body

falling asleep is the moment that you

need to regain full awareness so wait

for a sneaking sensation and a deep

feeling of energy

these are the most common Sensations

that I personally experience at this

point

this energy feels like a pleasant

buzzing or vibration through my body

other Sensations may be experienced at

this point as well such as ringing in

the ears or a buzzing sensation in your

head a feeling of deep heaviness

sweeping over your body

a complete feeling of weightlessness

the loss of feeling in your limbs

or a feeling of expansion among others

make sure you hold the intention of

waiting for these Sensations to arise

and once they come recognize that the

projection is about to take place and

refocus your awareness on your intention

of leaving your body

but make sure you don't get overly

excited or scared because this can ruin

the attempt you need to Simply allow the

experience to unfold and go with the

flow

so at this stage it's common for the

projection to take place naturally and

if that's the case then you'll typically

feel increased energetic vibrations and

and strong feeling of movement

especially floating or falling

which will typically be followed by the

manifestation of the astral environment

in your vision

if this doesn't happen after several

seconds of the onset of the sensations

from the previous step then you can

trigger the projection by internally

creating the feeling of movement

this can be floating or falling

backwards rolling to the side climbing a

rope or a ladder swinging back and forth

or side to side spinning or rotating on

an axis

or any other movement you can imagine to

do this you need to remember what it

feels like to experience that movement

and really try to feel it so for example

the movement that works best for me is

falling backwards so I internally create

the feeling of Falling by remembering

what it feels like to fall and really

trying to feel it now again

visualization can help so you might

picture yourself jumping out of the

airplane and falling through the sky

towards the ground or visualize your

hands grabbing the rungs of a ladder and

climbing up

but the visual element isn't necessary

only the feeling is

I personally don't use any visual

imagery I simply use my intention to

create the feeling within and almost

instantly I experience a real feeling of

butterflies in my stomach as if I am

falling and I maintain this feeling of

falling backwards until the separation

is triggered which usually only takes

several seconds but you should maintain

this feeling until the separation

Sensations kick in

if one particular sensation of moving

doesn't seem to have an effect after a

short while then you should switch to a

different movement until you find one

that works best for you

and that is the entire technique so I

hope that clarified all the steps of

this method

and what I want you guys to do is give

this a try yourself

so I'm gonna wrap up this episode with

that

thank you so much for listening

I hope you're all successful at having

out-of-body experiences using this

method and I'll talk to you next time
