All right, what's up everybody, and welcome to the unlearned podcast. This is freedom Friday, where we are going to talk about something that we have unlearned recently, right, I know you're used to seeing Ruth Abigail on freedom Fridays. She's let me join the fray, ok. So we're going to have this going to be a little encouragement corner, all right. So I'm going to get in on some of these so that we can just continue to talk about what we're unlearning as we go. Friends, right, god is doing so much, so much is happening, and he's moving swiftly, and that's exactly what I want to talk to us about today the swift hand of God moving in our lives. Right, because it is definitely something that has has has had me unlearning in these streets, right. So first, I want to thank all of you listeners. Our community is growing. We love having you guys, we love talking to you guys about everything that we've been unlearning, both in our 20s, now in our 30s, and we want you to be a part of the community officially, okay. So if you have not yet, please like, share and subscribe.
Speaker 1:Okay, let's get into it. I want to speak specifically to those of you that have been waiting. Right, we have all had a season somewhere in our lives where we have waited on God to do something. We've waited on something in our life to change. We've waited for something to shift, whether that was relationally right, whether that was financially okay, because everybody has waited for a check, everybody has waited for a financial increase right, whether that's. You're waiting for something to shift in the lives of people around you. You're waiting on God to do something miraculous. You're waiting on God to do something that's going to blow your mind. You're waiting on the things that you've petitioned the Lord for, right, and oftentimes, in a season of waiting, we build routines. We build routines that make us comfortable. We build routines that make us feel like we're making progress toward those things that we've been asking God for, and a lot of times, our routines keep us in the space that we're in and they're preparing us for where we're going, but they are not the breakthrough point. Right? Your routine is a place for you to learn. Your routine is a place for you to grow. It's a place for you to get established, right. But your routine will not get you to the place that God has destined for you to get to at your next level. Right, and so I feel like, in this 2025 moment, we're all getting to a space where God is requiring us to break routine in order to get to the next level.
Speaker 1:Right, and sometimes breaking routine can look like you got to change your mindset about something, right, you're used to talking negatively about everything, or you're used to being really constructive, right, and picking apart everything, right. Right, it might be changing your attitude, right. I've been telling people I've had to turn my mind off with the things that God is doing right now, because I know that my mind will talk me out of where he's trying to push me to, right. So it might be your thought patterns. It might be your attitude, right, you might be a person who's used to just being, you know, being nonchalant about things being laid back, being casual, going with the flow, because that is the routine that you have built to keep yourself on the level that you're at. But, friends, here's where I want you to start doing the unlearning we are going to have to in this next season unlearn the routines that have kept us stuck at the place that we're asking God to deliver us from. Okay, and I'm not saying that you're in a bad place, right, a lot of us are not in a bad place, but God does not want you to settle for good when he has best right. He doesn't want you to settle for decent when he has amazing right. And so when we're trying to get to these levels of amazing, we are going to have to break the routines right that keep us at good enough right, and I want to talk to you specifically about the way I've been seeing God do that in my life.
Speaker 1:Okay, friends, so I'm in this new process where God is literally bringing me out of one space and delivering me into another. I've been asking him and asking him. I told you guys that I had an hour commute. I've been asking God like I need to get closer to the school. The Lord is make. Literally, the Lord is allowing that to happen for me. But what I want to tell you guys is is that the point of your deliverance is not going to happen at the point of your complacency, the pace of it, right. God is going to have to shift you when it says that he will redeem the time. The way that he redeems it is that he has to come in and he has to rush you into the next phase of your life, it's not going to happen at the pace that you're at now. Right. So if you're used to making fast decisions and you're used to go, go going because that's the routine you set, it may be that the Lord will set you down, settle you down and slow you down in order to move into the next season of your life. Right. If you're like me and you're used to carefully considering all of the details and all of the facts and all, and trying to understand every little bit of something, right, because that is the routine that you have built in order to be comfortable where you're at, the Lord is going to literally pick you up and put you on the speedway, right To get to where you're going. Right, but God is going to break your routine. But let me tell you something right? The Bible says I'm in Malachi. Come with me, friends, to Malachi, I'm in Malachi.
Speaker 1:The third chapter, the 10th verse, is oftentimes talked about for tithing. Right, because it specifically talks about tithing. It says bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me. Now. This is the part I want to get with here, with saith, the Lord of hosts, which is the Lord of the armies, the Lord of the battle right, the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, I want to focus on that windows, friend. Listen. That window. We are finding ourselves at a specific time, at a specific place with a specific set of instructions that are going to get us from our good to our never could have imagined they're going to this specific time and this specific place and this specific set of instructions are going to get us, for I can settle for this to the Lord, I can't even believe that you love me this much to do this for me. Right, it's a window. And there is a window coming, friend, where the things that you've been waiting for are going to come for you suddenly, because God is going to open the window from heaven and it's going to pour out into earth.
Speaker 1:What I need you to be ready to do is to be ready to unlearn. Whatever mindsets, whatever attitudes, whatever structure you've built up that has allowed you to stay complacent and has allowed you to stay comfortable. I need you to quickly take that off and and whatever you need to do for me. I told you I had to turn my thoughts off. I was like you know what? I'm not even going to think about it, I'm just going to do whatever it is the Lord told me, right? I was like Peter jumping out of the boat.
Speaker 1:Now I will tell you once I got out on that boat, out of the boat, I did look at the wind and the waves and I was like wait a minute, lord. What are we doing? What is happening? But I promise you, if you want to get to the place where you see the manifestation of the things you've been asking for, it is time. Turn off the routine and allow God to open a window to get you somewhere new.
Speaker 1:Okay, listen, friends, we're unlearning and we're getting into our blessed place all 2025. Ok, go through the window, get in position, get in the place that God tells you to get to get the right mindset, because there is a window that will come suddenly and God is going to change your pace to get you there quickly. All right, listen, friends, I cannot wait to hear the testimonies of the windows that you see God opening in your life this week and all year long. So hit us up in the chat box. And how about this? We'll see you next week, but until then, let's keep unlearning together so that we can experience more freedom. Peace y'all. See you next time.
