Sean Michael Crane's Unstoppable Mindset
Share Your Journey- Create Limitless Opportunities
The power to transform your life, build a thriving business, and reach millions might be hiding right in your pocket. Your smartphone isn't just a device for mindless scrolling—it's potentially the most powerful tool for growth and connection you've ever owned.
Most people make the critical mistake of waiting for perfect conditions before sharing their journey online. They believe they need the perfect studio, the ideal body, or complete mastery before offering value. I know better. Seven years ago, fresh out of prison with nothing but an iPhone and determination, I began documenting my redemption journey. That decision changed everything—creating opportunities to speak on stages alongside icons like Tim Grover and Marcus Luttrell, building a successful coaching business, and most importantly, serving my purpose by helping others overcome their own challenges.
Social media's true power lies in three key benefits: exponentially expanding your reach beyond geographical limitations, building genuine relationships that create win-win opportunities, and providing value that impacts others' lives in ways you might never anticipate. Whether you're a construction business owner, aspiring coach, or stay-at-home parent with amazing recipes, consistently sharing your unique knowledge creates ripple effects that extend far beyond what you can immediately measure. The most unexpected benefit? When you commit to showing up daily for your audience, you naturally push yourself to grow and take action—transforming social media from a simple platform into a powerful catalyst for becoming your best self.
Stop letting fear of judgment hold you back. We're all going to die someday—most likely everyone alive right now will be gone in a hundred years. So why waste precious time worried about what others might think? Start where you are, document your evolution, and watch as both your life and your impact expand beyond anything you could imagine. Your willingness to be seen might just be the inspiration someone else desperately needs today.
Imagine if, each and every day, you knew you want to post valuable content for people and that motivated and inspired you to do the work on yourself so you can share it with other people. That's when it really becomes a catalyst in your life, and I've used social media to become a better speaker, to build relationships, to get on stages and create opportunities to help really change lives and also make a shitload of money and provide a beautiful life for my family. All of those things became possible because every day, the first thought in my head when my alarm goes off at four and I'm tired and I don't want to get out of bed is damn. Other men right now who are struggling need to hear something positive. They need to see an action taker, they need to be reminded of their potential. Because when individuals see me out running at five in the morning, spit motivation into my phone or in the gym working out, and they're not all in on their lives, it's going to trigger them, it's going to piss them off or it's going to get them thinking about why they're not doing more in their lives. I'm not doing it to say, hey, look at me, I'm better than you. I'm doing it to say hey, look, how much more fucking capable you are, let's get to work.
Speaker 1:Welcome back to another episode of the Unstoppable Mindset Podcast. I'm your host, sean Crane. Thank you guys for tuning in. I'm in my home office today in beautiful Santa Barbara, california. Real quick, before I kick this message off a lot of people want to wait forever until they take action towards their goals. You think you need a perfect podcast studio to start a podcast, right? You need to, like, be the fittest you've ever been in your life before you can start to talk about working out and nutrition. Like you think, you have to have the absolute best results before you could start either showing your life on social media or talking about what you've learned. That couldn't be further from the truth. Like, I'm here at my house in my office and I film my podcast here Now. I've had a podcast studio and I've, you know, had nice equipment and I've also had nothing but an iPhone. But through it all, I was always consistent in sharing my message online, and that's what I want to talk about today. I want to talk about why you should be sharing content online, specifically, three reasons that you need to be posting content on social media platforms and what it can do for you in your professional life and even your personal life.
Speaker 1:Now we live in a time where there's so much opportunity. You could literally reach anybody in the world. You could reach people in freaking China. You could reach people in the Middle East. You could reach people in Australia. You could reach people all throughout the United States by sharing your truth and your values and what you do in your life online.
Speaker 1:Now, when it comes to business, there's never been a tool or an opportunity as great as social media. It's free advertising. Back in the day, you used to have to pay a lot of money to get in front of the amount of people that we can get in front of now, but I could post a reel online that gets seen by a million people. You know, I could grow a social media account to have millions of followers and if you have a business or a message or a product or service, now you have millions of people whose eyeballs are on you. It's so important that if you want to grow your business or create more opportunity, that you're leveraging the online space. Now, before I tell you the three reasons why, I just want to start off by telling you guys that I got out of prison seven years ago and started documenting my life and my journey of redemption and rebuilding my life online, and I shared a lot of the things that helped me to change in prison with my audience and it resonated with them and it helped me to build real connections and relationships with people to the point where, when I started my online coaching business, it took off because I had all these people who had been watching me, who had been following me, who were intrigued by my story and the way I lived, and they saw me progressively improving my life after prison, and so they were bought into my process because I documented it and I showed them what I was doing. So this concept applies to blue collar business owners. If you're a roofer, if you own a construction company, this applies to coaches, aspiring speakers.
Speaker 1:If you're a stay at home mom and you like to cook these yummy, tasty recipes and you're like dang, people would probably love these recipes. If you document that every day and show people how you prep the food where you grocery shop, how you make it, having your kids eat it and taste test it. Let's say it's healthy recipes of tasty snacks and treats for kids. Dude, that would blow up. You put it on YouTube or TikTok or whatever. And all of a sudden you have tons of stay-at-home moms who want to watch you because they're getting value from your content. And who knows what that can lead to. That can lead to sponsorships, endorsements. It can lead to you having a freaking Netflix series.
Speaker 1:There's no limitations here and the possibilities are endless. And social media and the online space literally it's perfectly symbolic of the fact that there's no limitations in life. I've posted content online where it's created so many opportunities for me Opportunities to speak on stages with guys like Tim Grover, marcus Luttrell from Lone Survivor, actors, celebrities Like. I've been able to build relationships with so many influential people and really grow a business. That's not just sustaining my lifestyle, but it's allowing me to thrive and take care of my family and reach people and help them to overcome their demons and their traumas and to reach a point in life where they're truly in love with what they're doing. Like. It allows me to serve my purpose, and I don't think there's any greater gift in life than to get clear on what your purpose is and being able to fulfill it. If you want a good book that really depicts that journey. The alchemist is a great book that I even had my my child. It talks about uncovering your purpose and what it takes to live out your purpose. It's a really cool story. So, the Alchemist? Go ahead and read it.
Speaker 1:But now we're going to get into it. We're going to talk about three reasons why you need to be posting content on social media. Number one it's simple. You can reach way more people. Think about 200 years ago, like you didn't know anyone beyond your county right, maybe beyond your farm, depending on where you grew up, or your small little town. So now you literally can reach millions of people online, on TikTok, on YouTube, on Instagram. You can not only see and meet and reach other people, you can learn from them or you can teach them. So, number one you just have the ability to reach a massive amount of people, an abundance of people. What that leads to is, secondly, relationships.
Speaker 1:Now, if you want to be successful, it's all about your relationships. The first thing is developing yourself, having the right mindset, having the right habits, having skills that bring value into those relationships. But once you get to that point, it's all about how many people can I meet where we have things in common where you know our relationship creates a win-win. Or maybe you have a product or service and it's like how many people can I reach who need this product or service? Let's say you sold something for a thousand bucks. I don't know what it is. It's a fitness program and it really helped people lose weight, build confidence, build self-love intrinsically and, just like, really change their lives. Now, if you met a hundred people that'd be a hundred thousand dollars who wanted to buy your program. Let's say you met a million people who wanted to buy your program. Like, there's no limits here.
Speaker 1:Okay, if you're online and you're creating content, you're creating opportunities. So the first thing you need to do is post content consistently. Okay, and we're going to get into all that in a second. But I want to just really summarize this.
Speaker 1:You reach more people. You can build relationships with people In. Those relationships is where trust is built, where rapport is built. Dude, you can meet your future wife on social media. I know a lot of people who build relationships that turn into personal relationships. Online, you can reach tons of customers. You can reach people that become part of your inner circle, people that you become friends with. People that you can network with people that refer you by just posting content consistently and reaching more people so-and-so, might be at the dinner with their in-laws and their in-laws roof has a leak in it and he's like oh yeah, I saw this content creator, I saw this roofing company. I keep seeing their content blue steel roofs, right. Here's their social media page. All of a sudden, there's a new client or customer just because you've been consistently posting right. And so the third thing that's really cool about posting content consistently is you can help other people. You can provide insight and inspiration to other people.
Speaker 1:You might not think you're an inspiring individual. You're exceptional, and that couldn't be further from the truth. There's nuances and unique ways that you live your life that other people would find intriguing. It might be the book you're reading. It might be the freaking tea you drink. It might be the food that you cook for your children. It might be the vacations you take. It might be the way that you work out. It might be the job that you have, the career that you have.
Speaker 1:If you just post content consistently, you get in front of more people, you build real relationships, and you never know how you're going to impact individuals, and a lot of times I'll take my life experience or knowledge for granted. And let's take nutrition, for instance. I don't like to post content about nutrition. I just eat the food that I eat every day to achieve my goals, and for me it's a lifestyle. But if I posted every meal that I ate every day and how I prepped that and how I weighed it out and how it helped me to get eight pack abs or to get jacked or whatever it is, that would be super valuable for people, cause one of the biggest questions I often get is like about nutrition, about macros, about the best quality foods to eat. So many people lack education around proper nutrition because we've been brainwashed over years, right, so that's a perfect example of like something that I might take for granted and not realize is valuable for people is super valuable. And for you right now.
Speaker 1:There's things that you are doing in your life every day that will provide insight and inspiration to other people, but you're not posting content consistently because you don't feel like you're good enough. I talk to so many of you all the time and you just second guess and question yourself. Number one, if you think that way you're never going to get what you want, okay. Number two if you feel that way, it means that you want to be doing more in your life, but you're holding back. And here's a good example If you saw a friend that you went to high school with, let's say, today at the corner market, let's say, you had a childhood friend from high school, you guys were like 15 together and now you're whatever 30, 40 years old, I'm 36. I'll be 37 this week.
Speaker 1:When I see people, I'm so fucking excited about what I'm doing. I can't contain it. I can't hold it back because I'm all in on my dream and my vision and my purpose. And I've been all in for the last 13 years and this momentum is just swelling. It's just swelling, it's just growing right. So when I get around people I haven't seen they feel that energy. It's infectious. My excitement, my gratitude, it stands out my positivity. I'm not just faking that, it's not just that. I was born that way and that's how I always am. I'm doing things every day to continue to stoke that energy and bring it alive inside of me. And if you don't feel that way, it's because you're not doing things that serve you, you're not all in on your goals, you're procrastinating, you're making excuses.
Speaker 1:So why would you want to share content online? To tell people how you're not doing what you want to do in life? Now imagine this. Imagine if you use social media not only as a way to inspire people, but as an accountability tool. Imagine if, each and every day, you knew you want to post valuable content for people and that motivated and inspired you to do the work on yourself so you could share it with other people.
Speaker 1:Other men right now who are struggling need to hear something positive. They need to see an action taker. They need to be reminded of their potential, because when individuals see me out running at five in the morning spitting motivation into my phone, or in the gym working out and they're not all in on their lives, it's going to trigger them, it's going to piss them off, or it's going to get them thinking about why they're not doing more in their lives. I'm not doing it to say, hey, look at me, I'm better than you. I'm doing it to say, hey, look, how much more fucking capable you are. Let's get to work. And I've done that every day since I got lot of people and help them.
Speaker 1:But it's always because, deep down inside, I care about people. I know where I'm going as far as my goals and my vision, and I know each and every day, by sharing content, it's creating opportunities that even right now are invisible to me. Somebody right now is hearing this message that I've never met, that I've never spoken to, and that we will connect. One day you might go to an event I speak at. You might go to an event I speak at. You might come out to Santa Barbara to my mastermind. Maybe you get on the fitness and nutrition program and get shredded and build confidence and become a better dad, a better human being. I don't know. Maybe we just become friends and share content and message back and forth and say, hey, hope you had a great day. That's all positive stuff. Those are all positive outcomes that are created because of this moment where I'm sharing content that never would have been possible had I not been willing to take action.
Speaker 1:You guys need to live with more willingness, open-mindedness. We're all going to freaking die in a hundred years. Most likely, no one's going to be on this planet that's alive right now. Maybe there's a couple of people that will live beyond a hundred years. The point is stop being fearful, stop worrying about failure and judgment. Get your ass on camera, create opportunities and grow as you document your journey. So people see that evolution and they want to get to know you and follow you even more.
