Want a real reset that outlasts February? We go straight at the root cause of stalled goals: low standards dressed up as good intentions. No fluff, no hacks—just a clear path to raising your baseline, building urgency, and following that inner voice that already knows what you’re called to do. If you’ve ever wondered why motivation fades but bad habits stick, this conversation breaks down the daily choices that shape identity and the mindset shift that turns resolutions into results.

We unpack the hidden tax of comfort—how sleeping in, doomscrolling, and ultra-processed food drain energy, cloud thinking, and erode confidence. Then we get practical with the systems that actually work: earlier mornings, deliberate training, cleaner nutrition, focused reading, and better relationships. You’ll hear why surrendering “your way” matters when your way keeps failing, and how aligning to a proven blueprint can pull you out of cycles of self-sabotage. The goal isn’t just twenty pounds lost or one budget met; it’s the creation of a higher self who consistently makes strong choices under pressure.

There’s a candid look at rock bottom, the value of accountability, and the universal design that rewards discipline over ego. We challenge the cultural urge to tolerate everything and replace it with love that demands better—of ourselves first. Expect clear language, actionable steps, and a direct call to choose character over comfort. If you can name the person you want to become and make daily votes for that identity, you’ll unlock momentum that compounds across health, work, and relationships, leading to fulfillment instead of regret.

If this resonates, subscribe, share it with someone who needs a push, and leave a review to tell us the one habit you’re changing today. Your next choice is your next chapter—what will it be?

All of these people that are making New Year's resolutions, 80% of them want to be a better, different version of themselves. But then 80% of those people go back to doing things they know they shouldn't do. And that's the battle that you're all here to fight. And first, before you fight it, you gotta face it, meaning you gotta be honest with yourself. You have to have this type of awareness to understand this is the thing separating you from being a loser in life and seeking greatness and being a winner. It's you and the decisions you make every day. Now, every day you can choose to do things that build you up. Every day you could choose to get up earlier and get an edge on the rest of the world. Every day you can choose to get around the right people and build constructive relationships, obtain new information, read books, study successful people, go work on your body, work on your health, take care of your mental health, put good nutritious food in your body. Like learn about nutrition, educate yourself, get the information you need to be successful, but you're not doing it. Make sure to subscribe, like this episode, and share with someone who needs some motivation. This is gonna be a short episode directly to the point, you guys. You know, I get to talk to a lot of people every day. I see how people operate in society, and I can't help but get frustrated at people's lack of urgency and really like how people just take life for granted and make excuses and settle. You know, some people say you should be compassionate and love people no matter what. That's what Jesus said, right? Love thy neighbor, basically love everyone no matter what, forgive people. I understand that. But I think we also need people in society and in our lives that are gonna hold us to a high standard that's that they're unwilling to compromise on. You know, I think a lot of the reason we see our society right now so divided is because we've had too much tolerance in the past. Like we've been too accepting and we've allowed people just to try to rewrite the rules of the way things should be done. And that doesn't work. Doesn't it seem that when we try to do things our way, it fails? And it doesn't work. But if we understand there's a universal design here in place, like there's a system that we are here to operate off of. When we follow that blueprint, things go really well for us and we thrive and prosper. Now you can apply this to societies and civilizations, and you can also apply this to a family or a business or to the individual. Now, my message right now is just to the individual. You all need to raise your standards. The reason that children right now are suffering, the reason that we're struggling in all these different areas of life is because your standards are too low and you're okay with mediocrity and just settling for average. And I'm talking about everything: your health and the way your body looks, the food that you eat, the time that you spend. Like, what are you doing with your time? Are you just on your phone all the time? Are you just scrolling on social media? Like, what are you doing to actually grow into a better person? When I look at individuals, I see the potential. I see the potential of who they can become and what they can achieve in their life if they had more urgency, more passion, and they were actually living like they were going to die one day. Everyone thinks they're gonna live forever. And then they complain about the stuff they don't have, and it's just this recurring theme that takes place. You guys, one thing you have to understand is each and every one of you, I know this to be true. You have a conscience and you have goals and dreams that God put on your heart. Whether you can't remember what they are or they're faint at times, they're still there. Now, if you get sober and clear-headed and you get away from things that just distract you and numb you, that voice inside of you is going to start to grow louder. What if I told you that that is the secret to success in your life? That if you are willing with courage and faith to follow the path that that voice is calling you to take, your life will get better and better and better. I promise you, like I'm living proof that this works. And all the people that I've talked to who have found success, found something within them that gave them that insight and guidance before they were able to materialize those results. Okay. When I first started changing my life, I didn't know how the heck I was gonna do it. Like I was literally at rock bottom. But I just knew that my way up to that point did not work. My way and my attempts to do things the way I thought they should be done, my will, you know, my wants, my needs, my ego, landing me in a jail cell facing life in prison. You know, my way got me addicted to drugs, got me toxic relationships, led to codependency. All these things that ultimately led me to suffering in my life. And it was the best thing ever because I was so broken down that I was willing to surrender to a different way of doing things. And I think a lot of you aren't willing to fully surrender what you think you need, what you want, how you want it done, and just commit to a process that's going to work for you. Because there's a bigger plan and opportunity for each and every one of you. But most of you can't see it or understand it because you're unwilling to get out of your own way. Right now, and you want to know what I mean by that? Right now, there's things that you're doing in your life that you know you shouldn't do. Right now, there's people and there's behaviors and there's things that you're doing that are leading to you having a lower quality of life and being a lesser version of yourself. That's how I know you're in your own way because you're continuously doing things that you know you shouldn't do. That's the first thing. The second thing is you're consistently not doing things that you know you should do. Every year, people make New Year's resolutions to eat better, to stop drinking, to stop cheating on their wife, to stop being on social media so much, to go to the gym, to lose weight. And by February 1st, 80% of those people have already failed and quit. So all of these people that are making New Year's resolutions, 80% of them want to be a better, different version of themselves. But then 80% of those people go back to doing things they know they shouldn't do. And that's the battle that you're all here to fight. And first, before you fight it, you gotta face it, meaning you gotta be honest with yourself and you have to have this type of awareness to understand this is the thing separating you from being a loser in life and seeking greatness and being a winner. It's you and the decisions you make every day. Now, every day you could choose to do things that build you up. Every day you could choose to get up earlier and get an edge on the rest of the world. Every day you could choose to get around the right people and build constructive relationships, obtain new information, read books, study successful people, you know, go work on your body, work on your health, take care of your mental health, put good nutritious food in your body. Like learn about nutrition, educate yourself, get the information you need to be successful. But you're not doing it. The people that don't have results but say they want them are still sleeping in. You're still wasting so much time on your damn phone. You're saying you don't have time to work out. You haven't read a book in 25 fucking years since you were in high school and you were required to. Like you just eat garbage food all day long and wonder why you feel like crap. And why you have these mental health issues and these low-level thoughts about yourself and these limiting beliefs and this lack of confidence. This is the main thing that I want to stress to you. If you can win the internal battle, and if you can recognize that it's constantly going to be a tug of war between your higher self, who God is always calling you to become through your conscience, to face your fears, to go after your goals, to make the choices to improve your life, and then your lower self, who's calling calling you to seek pleasure and comfort and to operate from fear and doubt, if you can understand that you have both of those versions in you simultaneously. And from this moment forward, every day, every decision, every thought, every action, you can choose to invest to become this higher self, that's when you will start to change your life. And that's when you'll look past the 20-pound weight loss goal or past this year-long goal that you've set to save money, or like these little micro goals that people set that are surface level. You'll see the bigger picture here that your potential to become this higher level self is literally unlimited, right? And it's gonna go until the day you die. You're gonna always be able to learn and grow and seek new opportunity and achieve new goals. And like this is the path to true fulfillment. So if you understand what I'm talking about right now, you get it, you feel what I'm telling you, like you feel it in your heart, you're already on the right path. But now you need to get hyper-focused each and every day, and you need to choose to become this higher level self in everything that you do. If not, you're gonna settle and you're gonna die with regret. And that's the truth. And most people die with regret in their heart. I want you to die with a heart full of gratitude because you went all in and you're able to live the life you're supposed to.
