Memorial Day holds a special significance for my family, as it marks the miraculous story of God's hand in our faith journey. Join me and my guest, Brewster Jerome Briggs, as we explore the scriptures of Psalm 66 and Psalm 105, encouraging us to give thanks and remember God's wondrous works. We dive deeper into our family's story, discussing details not revealed in the book, such as the importance of the lava rock stone we took from the crash site.

Our conversation takes a powerful turn as I recount surviving a car crash and how my spirit remained unyielding in the face of danger. Brewster and I reflect on experiencing God's presence and power in our physical bodies, hearts, minds, and spirits, and the challenging experiences that can ultimately lead to faith and a willingness to do whatever God asks of us.

In this faith-building episode, we discuss the miraculous work of God amidst suffering and share personal experiences exemplifying His faithfulness and divine intervention. Don't miss this inspiring and uplifting episode of Relentless Pursuit!

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to another episode of Relentless Pursuit, and today I have Brewster Jerome Briggs with me.

Speaker 1:

Hi And everybody loved Brew last time in our conversation. So I hope this blesses you too. And today we're a little late, but we are going to talk about a very important day for our family, A very important day in our faith journey, And that is Memorial Day. Memorial Day, every Memorial Day since Memorial Day 1999, we have talked about the details of this day and what happened to our family And I write about it in my book in a chapter called Memorial Day. But I want to share a couple of scriptures Psalm 6616, common here all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he has done for my soul. And another one is Psalm 105, verses one and two. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people, sing to him praise. Sing praises to him and tell of all his wondrous works.

Speaker 1:

And that's what we're going to do today. We're going to tell of God's wondrous works, because this is something that God has spoken. These are not just the only scriptures on saying talking about it right.

Speaker 2:

He works every day.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and we're supposed to talk about it. We're supposed to build each other up and spur each other up to a greater faith, and talk about miracles, talk about God's movement and encourage one another. So we're going to do that today with this story that a lot of people have probably heard and those who read the book have read it. We're going to tell, we're going to talk about it, and there's a couple of parts in here that we didn't have in the book that Bruce is going to share, and so we're going to begin. So welcome, brewster, and thank you for coming on with me today.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, thanks for having me.

Speaker 1:

Yes, i want to talk about just really quickly the importance of remembering. again, i'm going to add a little bit more. through the scriptures, god told the children of Israel, and in all three scriptures to remember and to even find things hold on to, for instance, memorial stones. Remember that story about when the children of Israel went through the Jordan River right?

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And God held back the river.

Speaker 2:

Joshua told them to go, each tribe to go, pick up out of stone out of the river and bring it to the shore.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And build something for remembering.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and so we actually do have a stone, a lava rock stone, because our crash was in Oregon and there's lava rock right all around that area that we crashed in Klamath Falls And we brought home a heart shaped lava rock because when we left Oregon to come back to San Diego we were like we have to go by there and get a stone. So we still have that stone. So I may be doing a little bit more of the talking at first, because my husband, my precious husband, doesn't remember a lot of the crash.

Speaker 2:

I remember the surf contest we went to which brought us down to Santa Cruz, and how terribly I surfed in it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, no The way.

Speaker 2:

I had to go home early, it happens, But then on the ride home. This is what my wife remembers and I don't.

Speaker 1:

But you remember the ride up to Dune Mir, right, You remember we spent the night in Duns Mir.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Duns Mir, Yeah, Yeah, I remember that It was fun And it was great because the kids enjoyed it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And it was all really a lot of fun.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Going along there along the river and then making the wrong turn on the way home and ending up in Ashland.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes Right.

Speaker 2:

And Nate got to go look at skateboards A really good skate shop that he wanted to see, and regardless of the fact that it was eight hours out of our way.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So Nate and Eric got skateboards And then we had to drive. We had gotten lost And that was my fault. I had been driving, so we got in loss. We ended up there and then headed back and then we pulled over in Klamath Falls, oregon, to get gas, couple of snacks And the kids were like lag us out of our seatbelts, we're so tired of this. It's been a long ride And we did all but one. Eric stayed in his seatbelt and the kids laid down. And do you remember that part, being at that gas station? Yeah, yeah, you got cashews. We gave some snacks to the kids. We put the radio on because we were finally going to get home. We had our feet up on the dashboard.

Speaker 1:

Shorts on its summer. It's Memorial Day. Well, just about summer. The sun's going down, it's about five. We're cruising on the highway about 540 pm. The lake is just, the sun is glistening on the. I just never forget it on that light. It was just beautiful. And on the right side of this two lane highway is the mountains where all that lava rock was. And all of a sudden This man pulled over Into our lane, coming towards us on a double lane.

Speaker 2:

Well, wait a minute, so I took over driving.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And the traffic going our way going north up to Bend Oregon. Yeah, that's where we lived 97, i think, and out of Klamath Falls Was good It was. It was clear There was not hardly any cars. But on the other side, coming towards us, the other lane Going all around these mountains was people going south And there was about 40 cars Just not going very fast for some reason I don't know why, really Well it was Memorial Day, people were leaving for this busy Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And apparently some guy, 85 year old young man Decided to pass these 40 cars even though it was doubly out of the line and crazy.

Speaker 1:

And we I saw it coming And my husband did too, because he swerved to the right ice cream at the top of my lungs We hit and I remember thinking, oh my gosh, we have nowhere to go. We hit the car, we shot straight up in the air. We hit the side rail. When we hit the side rail, shot straight up, the air flipped three times And that's when all of us, besides Eric, got thrown out on the highway. And I remember now he doesn't remember this at all at this point because he ended up being in a coma, that point. But I'm going to just share the story briefly.

Speaker 1:

So we hit and I just remember flipping and bouncing and bumping and thinking in my head man, this is a big crash, when are we going to stop? And it was just so interesting, even though my body was banging against the car or whatever, i was hitting, eventually, the concrete. I didn't know that, but I was in a cocooned way of hitting all this And it was just like this sense. I knew what was going on And I didn't have fear. But I was tossed around, landed on the highway And I just kind of sat up And there was a. Just looked out to the lake. I felt a peace. I had Lily to my right. He was two years old. My baby was right next to me. I didn't even have to reach. I had Nathan on the left of me, my 11-year-old, and he was on his stomach, laid out on his stomach, and he was moaning and groaning. And then my daughter, emily. He was another 20 feet, whatever that about 15, 20 feet away. I think. I didn't even know she was there, i couldn't see her, but I had no fear. I knew my children, i knew my husband, i knew everybody was OK.

Speaker 1:

I looked down at my legs They were completely covered in blood. I looked out to the lake And I literally the first thing that came out of my mouth, which was the gigantic miracle, was no weapon formed against me or prosper. And you know what I didn't think about those words. I didn't fight to find those words, i didn't struggle, but I was like a fierce lion. It was the wildest. This was the biggest miracle, was what was happening in my spirit. Jesus in me. That cannot be shaken was not shaken in that moment And it was fierce, alive and powerful, and I began to pray over my family. I got Lily up on my lap. I was holding her. She literally had not one ounce of blood on her body. She was she flowing 50 feet, nothing. I had Nathan who was to the left.

Speaker 2:

She had cracked her skull. Well, we're going to talk about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we found later that she had a minor skull fracture, but not at that point. We had Nate, to the left of me, covered just head to toe. He had road rash everywhere, but he was OK And anyway, that too ended up being on the superficial layer of his skin. He had zero, it didn't even penetrate And he was like healing within a few days. And then Emily, the one we couldn't get to there was a nurse two cars back that was with her, and I yelled Emily, and I didn't hear anything. In ice, in the name of Jesus, wake up Emily. And then she yelled and didn't know there was a nurse taking care of her.

Speaker 1:

But God did. He had a sit up, and so what ended up happening was Bruce was on the other side of the highway. I had no idea where he was. I was praying and prophesying over him and my family. It was like not me.

Speaker 1:

Again, i have to tell you, the spirit of the Lord is alive in us as believers, and my spirit in Christ was just the one in charge in him. It was just amazing. I was on awe of what was happening, because a normal situation like that you would be full of fear. You wouldn't even know Where is your, i don't know where Bruce is, i don't know what's going on. And God was just like, nope, they're OK.

Speaker 1:

And I was praying in the spirit, fighting in the spirit, and all these strangers began to get out the cars And they were all believers And they were coming to me and praying over me and my family. And then they had called the ambulances And they said your husband is under the van And he is going to we don't know what's. They were trying to encourage me. We don't know, we're going to do everything they can for him. So I didn't know, but my spirit knew he was going to be OK. And then Eric got out of the van looking for his father And he ended up finding him under the van. He tried to lift the van off of his dad. He was just so shook up I couldn't move, obviously. And the next thing, you know, the gentleman behind us helped Eric And another guy got out of the car And the two gentlemen lifted the van And Eric was able to pull his dad out And Bruce was unconscious, covered in blood and in a coma.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, a few breaks here and there.

Speaker 1:

Well, we'll talk about that. So anyway, as we're being taken away two by two in these ambulances, i'm not going to tell the whole story. You're going to have to read it in the book, because I go into a lot of detail. But we were the miracle family. There were so many people have died on that highway, 97, clameth Falls Highway, and we didn't.

Speaker 2:

Which we found out being in the hospital And all the people were amazed that we went through what we went through.

Speaker 1:

And we're still alive.

Speaker 1:

And God strategically placed the right nurses there for our kids, and they were literally. They were all fine. They had a couple road rash spots, and Eric had a broken finger. Emily had a little broken arm in the growth plate They didn't have to even cast her And they were releasing our children that night from the hospital after flying 50 feet in the air and landing on the concrete. How is that possible? Bruce and I, though, on the other hand, had multiple breaks, and he was in a coma, and so we were staying in the hospital.

Speaker 2:

So you had a broken leg.

Speaker 1:

Broken leg, broken foot, broken toes, broken ribs, really badly injured sternum. I had glass embedded everywhere. I had surgery just to remove the glass. I lost tendon in my toe. I mean, i had a lot of stuff Brutal. He was beaten up from head to toe and broke every bone in his face and was in a coma like I said, my feet were broken.

Speaker 2:

A lot of bones in my feet.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and your arm and.

Speaker 2:

And obviously with the van landing on me, my sternum was also probably the most painful thing that I had.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, But then again.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, They probably put a lot of painkillers in me.

Speaker 1:

Well, let's say it, talk about that, because the van, after flipping all those times, landed on its wheels, could have landed on, it, could have completely crushed him. The wheel, well, that we heard missed his head by a half of an inch by completely crushing him. So it was a miracle after miracle of what was happening, but we experienced such great and miraculous moments that just built our faith and even grew being unconscious when he came to three or four days later. What was the first thing that you said?

Speaker 2:

Well, i obviously struggled with my speech because my mouth was my jaw was dislocated and broken in three places, i think. But the thing that I knew from the time I woke up, which was three or four days later, was that everything was fine. I've had this sense of total being cared for, obviously with the medical staff, but I knew that my God reigns. I knew that he was in charge, and that's what I knew for sure. And the first time I saw my wife. So they took me out of the room actually, i think I was still in the room They wheeled you to my room.

Speaker 1:

Well, they got you out of ICU, put you in your own hospital room and told us we were gonna be able to see Brew. He was conscious. now we're gonna be able to see him, And they put him in a room a few doors down from mine.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and at one point the doctor said to Sherry, you need to tell us what Brew's like, because he's kind of out there.

Speaker 1:

They thought he was, they thought he had full on complete permanent damage yeah, in his brain.

Speaker 2:

And I know Eric had said during the time that one point before I went out I was yelling, i was yelling, you know?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you're unconscious, but the feeling and the first thing that I said to my wife, knowing that what we had gone through was did you feel him? And it was a sense of this knowing, and just like you said that you spoke out, no weapon formed against me. She'll prosper. And it wasn't from you. The same with me, my, the way I felt, i knew and I didn't have this dire circumstance, feeling it was we are cared for, a feeling of being cared for.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you actually had a smile on your face, even though I could barely tell it was you. You were so beaten up. You look you were. I mean, they warned me be careful, be warned when you see him. But I want to point something out of it.

Speaker 1:

What you just said This when I had that no weapon formed against me will prosper, i had been conscious of what happened physically. You, on the other hand, you really hadn't been, you were. You kept asking me over and over and over in that hour in your room what happened, what happened? What happened? You had no idea. Your spirit man, though, said did you feel him? Like you, your spirit was. That was unshakable, and I guess that was what we want to talk about today. It's like that spirit is unmovable, and that is the biggest part. In the day of trouble, you are what you eat. If you are full of Jesus, full of his word, you know who he is. You know who you are. In the day of trouble, whatever that looks like or what is going to look like in the future, the spirit of the living God is alive and well.

Speaker 2:

And the reality is is the spirit leads us and sometimes he leads us through the valley of the shadow of death. Yes, And we don't want to go there. We want all easy street, Everything easy, no hardship. But God's like no, you're my child, I love you and I'm gonna allow you to go through this. And for all that we went through, there was a purpose and God brought us through something. I will fear no evil. Yeah, though I go through the shadow valley of the shadow of death, I will trust in the Lord. I will fear no evil, or he is with me, His rodness staff, they comfort me.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And so his purpose comes forth And sometimes it we need that. It's not. we're not planning on surrendering. We're often, and I just say that our human nature just tends to wanna survive and go through, and but God has a plan and his plan is perfect and his love is perfect And I know he has. as a father with five kids, it's hard to discipline your kids. It is. it's not easy, and I come from a place where my family really in many ways didn't discipline me.

Speaker 1:

If you know me.

Speaker 2:

You know I'm kind of an easygoing guy and I'm not a hugely disciplined. My discipline came from the Lord, yeah, and he knows how to do it.

Speaker 1:

Well that's a good point that you brought that up about easy street versus going through these hard things. Like I've said this before, like if somebody said hey, do you wanna sign up, like at the back of the church or having like faith building signup sheets, do you wanna have this radical accident? You're all gonna go flying through the car, you're gonna barely make it, but God is gonna be mighty on your behalf. Would you wanna do that? Ah, heck, no, i'm not.

Speaker 2:

don't wanna sign up for that, but would I You spend a month in the hospital.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but would I trade that for never? I am so grateful because what happened as a result of this car crash was our faith was catapulted to a whole new level. We experienced not just the fact that we all lived, but the fact that God's presence was so powerful that we witnessed such a miracle in his intervention in our own physical bodies, in our own hearts, our own minds, our own spirits, but the whole thing. It would just change our lives, where we began to say what do you want us to do, god? We'll do whatever. We see who you are. You are mighty to save. And that was one of the fruit of it was faith, even though people looking on that. Why would that happen to the Briggs? What are they? they're in ministry, they love people. What's going on? Why would that happen to them? That was people's response in the natural. But us, we were like, wow, we just were with Jesus, we were with the power, we were with the King and his hosts.

Speaker 2:

Well, plus afterwards, they picked incredible amount of grace that was given to us and kindness to those who saw what we went through and what we were involved in was incredible. Oh my gosh, that was a mind blower And how incredible People bring in food and money and tell us about like.

Speaker 1:

We even went and see Surf Club here. You surfed with that weekend before the crash. You were surfing for them at the steamer lane surf contest and here, next thing you know, they're putting together an expression session fundraising event for our family.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was love And it was thoughtfulness, people knowing that I'm not a real pricey kind of guy. I work for survival, I don't know, I don't make a whole lot of money And we Sherry obviously does too.

Speaker 1:

I get. What do you mean? we both work, You make money too. Yeah, we both make, we both survive. We're not real big money makers but we trust the Lord a lot for the because of the work that we do and we serve him, and money is not our focus. But, yeah, god, in the time of need, began to pour in what we needed to survive and for you to heal.

Speaker 2:

So the when did you surf club had a like a garage sale, would you say.

Speaker 1:

No well, my friends, Jackie Rovel and all the gals from Claremont, my dear prayer sisters, had a garage sale for us and then Winnensie had an expression session right And then people were surfing and your honor and raised funds and there was another sale, I think at Winnensie was there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so the Chad Hudson.

Speaker 1:

And then moms and moms of Tots or whatever. Up in Oregon they were bringing us food every night when we were home I mean the city at here in San Diego and up in Ben, total strangers, we didn't even know people up there All were coming around us and making sure we had our needs met. It was just amazing. So we just lived in this miracle of just being alive, being kept, being protected, being covered. And then the financial miracles, and so, brew here he has, ends up having to have his jaws wired shut because he broke all the every bone in his face, basically, and so then they had to wire his jaws shut. So after that was the yucky.

Speaker 2:

And it was interesting because everything my family ate I threw in the blender and it was through the straw. He was so sick.

Speaker 1:

I literally couldn't even stomach it. He put milk and like tamale casserole in a blender and oh my gosh no.

Speaker 2:

Six weeks. Six weeks in like, with my jaws watered shut. So, basically, what happened? tell?

Speaker 1:

them about, because this miracle we've never shared with It's the biggest miracle of my life, I think.

Speaker 2:

So what happened was the day I got my wire out of my jaws. They wire your jaw shut through your gums, between your teeth, and when they pull it out it has grown around. You know. It's hard to pull the wire out of your jaws Okay, out of your teeth, And literally the doctor was had his foot up on my forehead pulling the wires out, just yanking, you know, and I had gotten what?

Speaker 2:

seven or eight shots all around my mouth. Just, i was completely numb in my mouth And I was like, oh my gosh, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick, i'm so sick. He had said, okay, so in about I don't know, 40 minutes to an hour from now, you'll want to take this, this medicine, you know, for pain, and so you know me, i, so I I'm leaving. I didn't have any pain at all And I was driving home. Our home was about 20 minutes away from what was that St Charles, st Charles Hospital And I saw the river and I was into fly fishing. I thought I'm going to stop and throw a fly. I'm sitting here. He never stopped.

Speaker 1:

The guy never stopped, anyway, it was fine.

Speaker 2:

I went and fly fished a little bit. I think I might have hit one, you know but I all of a sudden oh, my mouth's starting to reel it in I ran to my car where I'm 20 minutes, maybe 15 minutes away from home. By the time I get home, i am just, oh my gosh, this is so bad. I was just. I know I needed to get the medicine and take it, but it was. it was already just knocking me out And I just laid on the couch and just groaning. Oh, there was nobody home And I didn't know where you were. but I'm just sitting there groaning and Sherry comes home with Jackie.

Speaker 1:

Jackie had come up. My best friend came up to be with us to help take care of us. We walked in the door.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, You walk in the door and she's like what's?

Speaker 1:

the matter. He was white as a ghost, he would look like he was going to pass out, or I mean, i was like I looked right at him and I was like what's wrong?

Speaker 2:

And I could barely talk, you know, still kind of. I know that they loosened my jaws, but you know I hadn't practiced talking.

Speaker 1:

And you were reeling in pain.

Speaker 2:

You couldn't even think to talk And I remember just saying, oh, i just killed her so much I don't know what to say. And she just reached her hands out towards me. Let's pray, and later, hands on me, in the name of Jesus. We just lift up my husband right now and pray for your hand to fall on him And literally, the pain stopped instantly.

Speaker 1:

He was tripped out.

Speaker 2:

And it really, really blew my mind. I looked up at Jackie and looked back at Sherry And I just looked kind of wide eyed and didn't say anything. It was like, wow, where did it go? Pain just stopped.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I just anytime I've ever told the story. There's no understanding, you know. It's just so far beyond your mind.

Speaker 1:

You could not believe it. It was over. You were just like wait, what? Wait? I just had pain, i was dying a minute ago. Wait, what? What happened? You were just in shock And even when you tell the story now, you're still like that was a huge pain.

Speaker 2:

It went way beyond my mind. And generally, god does occasionally do things beyond your mind, but he does use your logic, he does use your mind and reveals things through your mind. but he just he blew mine. Okay, that's all I can say right, then He blew my mind Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And you know we had so many of those miracles happen throughout and one, one other huge miracle. We don't, we don't talk about much, but you know Bru was in four or five different therapies and they were telling me, you know, he's never going to be able to work. I mean, you're going to have to get on social security. He had massive brain injury, he had physical stuff, he's a contractor, how he's not going to be able to. And he was like heck, no, i am not going on social security, i am not going on disability, i'm going back to work. And so here he was completely eligible to become go on disability And he was like no, and he put himself back to work as fast as he could, probably too soon, but he knew that that was the best way. That was him. My husband is a hard worker and he knew, and God met him there and has continued to bless him and heal him and restore him And he has never quit.

Speaker 2:

I built probably one of my most creative tracks deck decks with lighting in stairs and an octagon patio cover My next job right on the river and probably made $3.

Speaker 1:

Yeah because he really didn't have his brain like working all the way, but he had his hands working and he knew that he needed to work, and so that's. Another huge miracle is that we continued to go forward And really, bridge of Hope was much birthed out of visions that the Lord began to give us, give me in my in about a place. So basically, the faith that was birthed.

Speaker 2:

I think our villains were a little bit different.

Speaker 1:

But our faith yeah but our faith was birthed out of a difficult, painful, radical, beautiful experience for what was coming next, and we said yes to the Lord to get into ministry there and then and run a recovery. Home was set free And we were. God began to give visions and things for what was next, which was Bridge of Hope. So my point in saying that was just the miracles of God, the work of God, the plans of God. They prosper and they bear fruit, and in our suffering is some of the richest, richest soil that God cultivates and brings forth life out of. And so we have been blessed in the suffering and faith has grown. And so I want to just say point out the last thing I want to talk about is God is a God. God is a God of miracles, he is a God of radical, miraculous power and provision, and he and he is no respecter of persons.

Speaker 1:

So when the Briggs family talks about a move of God and things happening that on a radical scale like this, this is who he is for everybody. It's not just because of us or because you know, people always say, well, that didn't happen. Well, you, as you know our story, we, our son was spared in that car crash, but yet he was taken At 26, 10 years later. So I Not not 20, no, 13 years later. So the point is, you know, i know that sometimes it doesn't always look An appearance that god is a god of compassion and mercy and kindness and miracle power and rescue, but he is, and even in the passing of our precious son. We have experienced those things too. So I just want to leave that With you as a thought that he is who he is. He's no respecter of persons and he is a miracle working god. He is a god who does miracles and we need to continue to talk about miracles. We need to talk about his kindness, his goodness, his provision, and believe even though we don't see. We wait for the lord.

Speaker 2:

I think that sometimes The thing that builds confidence in faith is Surrendering your will, and sometimes you know, having going to bible studies, going to church, going to be To do the you know. Serve the lord isn't always easy. You don't always want to, but he always shows up and that's what it's all about him. Yes, it's not about anything but him and Serving the lord. He is faithful, that's that's all I have to say yes, amen.

Speaker 1:

So let's pray because we we came out of that situation in 1999, recognizing that When you hear of, say, troubles in the future and you hear about things that are happening in our world today and you hear, and even Jesus says these things are going to take place, but do not be afraid. We witnessed a taste of why We will. You do not need to be afraid Because in the darkest hour he is there and the darkness is not dark to him and he is alive.

Speaker 2:

Do not be afraid.

Speaker 1:

So let's pray, let's pray about, let's just pray for a faith To stir in people and that they could take this testimony as their own And know that this is who God is for them too.

Speaker 2:

Father, in Jesus name, we just love you, and we love you because you first loved us And gave yourself for us. You paid the bill that we couldn't pay and redeemed us out of the myery clay. And, lord, you are watching over us and you have us in your hands and and you have your people in your hands, and I pray for those who might need to hear hope and and faith And be built that Jesus loves them. Lord, i pray for your hand just to touch them right now. They need healing. That you'd restore their bodies, god. If they're emotionally distraught, god, that you would give them victory in their soul And peace in their mind. In Jesus name amen.

Speaker 1:

I just thought of one other little tiny thing to end with. Do you know why we know how many times we flipped in the air? Do you know why we know the whole sequence of events sounds like somebody was witness. Well, there was one. In the next chapter in my book, after memorial stones, we have a title, a chapter titled the adjuster.

Speaker 1:

So Guess who shows up at our door with our payoff check from the insurance company, the payoff check for our van, our insurance adjuster, and he's standing at the door Ready to give us a check. I knew he was coming, but I didn't know who he was. He came to the door, brew was still in the hospital and he says I have a story to tell you. He goes I am The guy that was right behind your van. I am the one Who, who pulled the van up off. Your husband, my wife, is the one that called 911. He says I watched the whole thing. I want to tell you every detail.

Speaker 1:

So God not only saved our lives, he not only caught us in the air and sent his angels, hosts, around us to gather our children and lay them on the concrete. He not only brought like just radical holy spirit, intervention And and and power and authority and healing and protection. He brought a witness who is going to see me again to hand me a check. Is that just so amazing? So we can tell this story. So we can tell the story because we had it from a witness, so I love that there it is.

Speaker 1:

So hope this encourages you, bless you and Just let just believe God. Believe God, he is real and he is powerful and he loves you.

Speaker 2:

Thanks for listening.

Speaker 1:

Bye, bye.
