Colleen Costigan is the Founder and Executive Director of BEAM Kenya. In 2012, Colleen first visited a slum community in Western Kenya.
What began as a public health survey exposed her to the vast number of vulnerable children who were left with little to no resources to help them break out of the cycle of poverty. A seed was planted in her heart to move to Kenya permanently to pursue not only the practical ways to assist these children, but what it looks like to show God's love in action.
Since 2012, BEAM Kenya slowly grew to support academic scholarships, and mental health services for thousands of children and adults.
Colleen is especially passionate about child safety and works with schools, organization, and communities to create safer spaces for children.
She currently lives in Kenya with her husband and two children.
