AI right now is that moment. The only question is, how are you going to use it? What's good? I'm Rob Cressy. And this past weekend I was creating with ChatGPT, and one of the things that it mirrored back to me as a strength was my air quotes historic timing on how I'm capitalizing it with AI. And what I wanted to do is shoot a quick video talking about how you can use your gift of vision and see this as a doorway of action that can change the rest of your life. And there's three framings that I'm going to give for this. And let's start with number one. Number one, we are currently living through the greatest advantage of our entire life. And most people are asleep to how big this opportunity actually is. I did a post on my Facebook that says in 36 months, 90% of the world is going to say, man, I wish I'd start using AI sooner. Because there's going to be those who move, and then there's going to be those who don't. And the gap is going to be gigantic. And I'm not a fan of the term being left behind with AI because I get it. I live in the world of opportunity, not obligation. Or as Mike Tallman, the coach of the Steelers, would say, we want volunteers, not hostages. And I wanted to share this because it's so easy to create all of the reasons why right now is not the time for you to start planting those seeds in AI in your business and in your life. I'm overwhelmed. I have no tech background. I've never done this before. I'll get to it someday later. I live a full life. We all get it, but that's the thing about historic timing. There's those of us who take advantage of the historic timing and those who don't. And I want to highlight as a wake-up call, as if we needed this some more, that this is the historic timing. And this isn't something that just like comes around like it's an Amazon package every single day where you look around and you're like, oh, there's another historic timing. I'm going to take advantage of it. No, this is like the gift of all gifts for each of us. So now that you and I both know that this is historic timing, what are you going to do with this? Because number two, early action with AI isn't just an option, it's the only play. How in the world could we sit here with the most historic timing, one of, if not the greatest opportunities we have ever had in our life, that use this technology, and you're like, damn, this is unbelievable. This doesn't even feel real. We're using magic right here. And there's a quote that I love that is so foundational to my entrepreneurial journey that I learned from Ed Milette. The bigger the dreams, the deeper the foundation. No matter where you are in your AI journey right now, we all have an opportunity to continue to build our foundation. And one of the things I hear often, having coached around this for two and a half years, all day, every day, with clients in one-on-one settings, corporate environments, as well as in my community, is how people can feel like they're just so far behind where I'm at right now. And I'm like, this is complete misplaced focus. Because the simple fact that you are listening or watching this right now, or part of anything that I'm doing, means you are immediately so far ahead of everybody else that is ridiculous. Because I think back to uh a few weeks ago when ChatGPT or OpenAI released their uh upgraded AI image generator, and Sam Altman tweeted that we had one million people sign up for Chat GPT in the last hour. And I sat here and I was like, you're telling me there's a million people who are just using ChatGPT for the first time. And with this, this goes back to the old analogy of the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the next best time is today. The same is true with AI. Because remember, I have no AI background, no tech background in terms of like what separates me from everybody else. You know what really separates me from everybody else? My chips are all in. I see where the future is going, and I'm living and creating it every single day because this takes us to number three. Your future self will thank you for what you did today. And it's so easy to not realize that there will be a version of us three years from right now where the things that we do are going to have an impact on us. And there's a few different framings around this that I've learned and lived in my own journey. Number one is what you do today is going to show up 90 days from right now, right? So you investing in AI is going to obviously have immediate benefits because boom, when you're using ChatGBT or using Gamble or some of these things, you can ship this work. But the real benefit of that work oftentimes comes from the deals that you create 90 days from right now. But these things just start stacking like Lego blocks. So, what do you think the compounding advantages would happen for you if you continually invested in your AI infrastructure, your thinking, the time that you spend in all of this? Three years from right now, what do you think that's going to look like? Because for those of us who are already about this life, we can't even believe what's about to happen in three years because it is going to be an alternate universe with AI agents and autonomous, so many things that we are starting to build those foundations right now. And I feel so beginner level in so many of these things because everything is brand new. There's almost no one you're gonna know who's gonna be an expert at all of these things, other than them doing and them investing in themselves and their processes and their learning. So we all have the same opportunity. We're all sitting there at zero. We all know within the next three months, six months, or 12 months, AI agents are about to become a significantly bigger part of our business ecosystem. Okay, I don't have to understand it all to be able to say, what do I need to create in my business right now that's going to allow me in the next year to take advantage of what will probably be the biggest opportunity of our lifetime then? This is where I want you to start thinking about. And the thing that I love about working with exceptional people and higher performers is we will we're willing to play the games that others aren't. Number one, the long game. Hey, what's this look like one year, three years, five years, 10 years from right now? Number two, we invest in ourselves. Number three, we build systems because systems scale. Number four, we do things in a way where we want to help other people along on their journey so that we can all win together. And I'm sharing this message about historic timing because I truly feel obligated to share what I've learned and what I see and what I'm doing every single day because I know what's about to happen. Because I'm living it every single day with this. And it's so exciting because when you come from a heart-first, human-first perspective, you can do this the right way, where everyone around you wins, you build a better business where you can do more of what you love every single day. And I'll end on this how am I actually living this? In the last two weeks, I had a massive shift in the way that I'm seeing my days. And it all came back from this tweet from Jason Freed, who is um the founder of 37 Signals, the company that created, among other things, Basecamp. And he talked about how even when we wake up every single morning, we look at our get-to-do list, that maybe this is some goals that we created at the beginning of the year, or maybe the beginning of the month, or maybe the beginning of the quarter, or maybe it was just the beginning of the week. But we are constantly getting new information and updates and intuitions to what we can create every single day. And my spider sensors are saying to me, hey Rob, how about you invest even more time every single day creating with ChatGBT? So much so that every day last week, we'll call it from nine to five. I was spending about four hours a day on Chat GBT creating with it, where this is now my AI operating system. And I'm sharing this because what I'm seeing is that Chat GBT is not just a tool for us. This is going to become our operating system for creating everything in our business. And it doesn't mean that it's the only thing, but we have the ability to create it that way. And what does four hours plus four hours plus four hours plus four hours times one month, three months, twelve months, 36 months, a decade look like in terms of output productivity and ultimately results? Because what really opened my eyes to this is the word capacity. That when I'm creating with Chat GBT, my capacity is exponential. So why in the world would I want to be playing a game other than the one in which I'm living in the exponential world? And as I'm doing this, this is planting seeds and deeper foundations for what is on the horizon. So I know I'm creating with the mindset of, hey, AI agents are on the horizon. Not sure how it's going to integrate into Chad GBT quite yet, but Chad GBT, can you mirror a few things to me right now that I can be doing to build a better foundation so that when AI agents are here and I can integrate them, boom, I can take off like a rocket ship. And this is where I'm living right now. And it's very contrarian to the way that most people feel stuck in their business. Or you might have a comfortable routine and you might even say, but Rob, I've got all of these projects and all these clients and all these things to do. We all get to choose every single day when we wake up, what we do, every single aspect of it. And even if we filled our plates with so many things, we don't have time for AI. That's actually a choice that we've all made. I am making the choice to put all of my chips on the table on number one, heart first with human first, and then number two, leveraging AI to create positive impact in this world.
