Before we get to today's show, if you're using ChatGPT but know you're only scratching the surface, I got you. The unlimited method helps you use ChatGPT and AI in a human-first way that feels like an extension of who you are. Because your growth in AI isn't about tech and tools, it's about creating with confidence and clarity. You can go to RobCressy.ai backslash dangerous to get started today. Believing what's impossible is how great stories begin. And I am 15 out of 10 excited for this conversation with my friend Genesis Hay Crick. Genesis, how you doing today?

SPEAKER_01

I'm doing awesome because I'm here with you. This is great. I'm excited to have this conversation today.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So you are a new friend via Sarasota, via Dan Martell, and the elite coaching community there. And we connected on a call and immediately I love your vibes. And then randomly we ran into each other while passing by at church at the same time. And there's just sort of this energetic connection. And in our first conversation, as we're just sort of exploring uh what both of us do, how we live, how we serve, all of that stuff, you said two things that really resonated with me, which I vibe with. Number one, all about helping people create new beginnings. And number two, having a focus on believing what's impossible. And in this AI era, there has never been a better time to believe the impossible because we can actually create it. So let's unpack what this actually means, and we'll do this in the two different ways: the one side on the believing what's impossible, the other side on creating new beginnings. Because there's another thing that I really like about Eugenesis is that you lead with heart. You lead with stories and experiences. And when we look at creating the impossible, part of it is your and our ability to do so in our own unique, authentic way.

SPEAKER_01

100%. And I think so much of this stems from our prior belief systems and what we have believed our entire lives, which basically brings us into a place where we're we're living inside of a box or or under a specific ceiling. And I am of the firm belief that there is no ceiling, there is no box. We are living on the outside of all of what could potentially compartmentalize us or preventing us from growing. And that's really what this impossible mindset is about. Is that there really is nothing that's holding us back but ourselves. And once we come to that recognition and that understanding and having the self-awareness that we are in complete control of making those adjustments, making different decisions, believing that tomorrow is even going to be better than today because we're open to possibility. It changes the trajectory for everything that we're doing. And it gets things exciting because we don't have to be stuck. We don't have to feel like we just have to wait for that right opportunity to be seized. We can seize it at any point, at any time. And so I'm just really excited about having this conversation because I don't think there's enough people out there that recognize their potential that's really within here, that's waiting to be released. And when you're talking specifically about leading with heart, that is one thing that I think people are yearning for so much. They are desiring the authenticity. And I just love that you and I are gonna be talking today about bridging the gap between AI and authenticity, because this is such an important pathway with where we're going with everything that we're doing. Because just like this morning, I was I was looking online and it's a don't believe anything that you say, or that you read, I'm sorry, not that you say that you read online that that you are seeing that you're looking at it could be entirely fake. And so when we're talking about leading with authenticity and leading from a genuine heart, that's what's really drawing people in. As you said about the stories, like leading with personal stories, it ties people into humanity, right? It brings us back to our foundations and our roots.

SPEAKER_00

All right, so I'm totally on board. I'm totally on board with everything that you say. And in theory, this sounds phenomenal. Sign me up. But now let's get to the practical side of things because I cannot assume that everybody has done the air quotes the work, as Byron Katie would say, on themselves to be able to step into this portal possibility and actually to believe these things because you said a really important word, self-awareness. And I did not have this skill set in this perspective 15 years ago. I had no self-awareness, I had no growth mindset. So to tell me that all of a sudden believe that everything is impossible and that it can actually happen, and you're in complete control of it, and everything can get better. So keep making this happen. All right, let's actually talk about how you and I have cultivated and created ourselves into these people because legitimately, this is a skill and it is something that um is also an embodiment. I like to say that um this is a mindset, a lifestyle, and a way of being, right? So it's an extension of who I am. So I'll give some simple examples and we'll look at just the word belief. Because to me, when I look at my entire life, and if they say, Rob, there's only one word you can choose for what your word for your life will be, it'll be the word believe. And why? So I've lived multiple lives, and in the process of it, one of them was when I went from corporate rob to going to zero and being all in on being an entrepreneur. So making six figures to zero dollars overnight. And that first day was the first time that I got self-awareness of holy smokes, everything's on me. What do I do? When do I wake up? All of this various stuff there. But then when I audited the success habits of the most successful people, you would see in entrepreneurship and small business the rate of failure of small business, 60% don't make it past one year or five years, and all of these things. And I was like, how can I not be one of those statistics because I'm all in on my dreams? This is no longer just Rob finding a new job. This is you can do whatever you want in your life. So, how do I not be a statistic? And I realized for myself, I need to specialize in not quitting. So, to specialize in not quitting, I actually need to specialize in belief. Everywhere I went, everything that I did, I needed to believe that it was possible because I had this vision in my mind of these impossible things, this life that I would love to create for myself. And for so much of it, like a decade at a time, it felt so far away. What am I not doing right? Why is this not happening faster? What am I not seeing? Oh man, I feel like giving up. It's one of those things that you feel as an entrepreneur over and over again. But what is that thing that's going to keep you going? And for me, that is belief. And one of the simplest things that you can do that I do every single day, and I've probably done it four times already today, is triggers. How can you create a trigger to build your own belief? So, Genesis, when I moved to Sarasota, um, I we we go to the fridge and you put your water bottle under there and you get the water, right? Well, I quickly realized the water that came out of the refrigerator was slow, right? So I would sit there and I was like, oh my god, this is taking forever. Or you're telling me every time I fill up my cup of water, it's gonna take 37 seconds. Immediately I'm going into scarcity mode. It's gonna grind me for as long as I live in Sarasota. But then the little light bulb went off. And I saw the cup as you've always heard glass half full, glass half empty. And I don't really talk that way, but it's a visual metaphor. And all of a sudden I started watching that water going up and going up, and I was like, what if I turn this negative into filling up my cup of belief? So now the slowness is not a bad thing because I'm speaking, I am that I believe in my goals, in my dreams, and in my vision as this water comes up there. So now, no matter where I go, no matter what I'm filling up, it is impossible for me to not fill up my cup of belief because these are the micro stacking ones over zeros that I get to do to be the person that believes the impossible is true.

SPEAKER_01

I love that analogy. And I think it's so important to have a visual to keep you going, as you said, a trigger, you know, something that that entices you or gives you meaning and purpose. And we all have our own way of having that visual standpoint. I love having the post-it notes of those reminders when I wake up in the morning. I love those words of encouragement to be consistently on my computer, in my car, reading my book, and also having my core values right there, my faith, my family, my freedom, and my growth, all of those things at the forefront. This is part of my why. And I think to your point of, you know, having those moments of whether it's despair or extreme pain, where you're just like, I can't live like this anymore. I think that those are the moments where you reach within yourself and you say, I'm gonna make a decision, and I'm not gonna do this the way that I've been doing it this long. I am I am moving forward, I'm setting the tone, and I'm making a conscious decision to do different. And I can speak specifically to this. 13 years ago, I found myself pregnant and single and alone, and my back was up against the wall, and I found myself in a situation where I had to figure out how to navigate life alone, and I didn't know how I was gonna do it. But what I did know was that I had a responsibility to take care of someone else, and I was never gonna let that person suffer, I was gonna never gonna let that person be alone, and I wanted to be able to be there for as much as I possibly could, as many firsts as humanly possible. And so, with that mindset, I knew that my desire was to step into entrepreneurship, was to have my own business so that I had the control over those decisions, so that I had the capability to be able to spend that quality time. And so for me, that was my why, that was my motivating factor to spending time with my child, to being present, to being involved, and having the capacity to grow in a way that I chose, not so somebody else's, not so that I'm helping someone else build their dream. I'm building the one that I'm creating with my son at the time. And so I think we all come from different circumstances of things that are painful or frustrating, or we just we can't take it anymore. So I think what what it comes down to is finding whatever that story is, or finding that place and saying, am I really truly fulfilled in what I'm doing now? Or is there more? Is there more potential within me that I'm just I'm not allowing to be released into the world? And we all have potential, right? We all have the capability to to grow and to to become more of who we're meant to be, but we need to also tap into those points of recognizing that impact out there is waiting for us. And so for us to truly come outside of ourselves, we need to make it a point to really get crystal clear on what that why is so that we can step away from whatever it is that we're currently doing. And it doesn't mean that we're not currently following our dream, but there might be things that we have to let go of in order to scale, in order to grow, in order to be of this next level mindset that it's officially time to move forward. And and that's it's a scary place to be. And we want to put ourselves inside, like you know, we preface with that box or or stay just underneath this this ceiling because above that it's there's too many unknowns. And so I I love the idea that the sky is the limit, and and there is so much possibility, and and I love also the idea that like what we're doing today, we're having this conversation and and we're sharing ideas and we're talking about collaborations, and I think that that's just that's where things are going. People want synergy, they want togetheredness, they they want to be able to share ideas, and and there's a really a great coming together. So even when you're a solopreneur, you don't have to do it alone. Like we can build this dream together, and that's that's what I'm really looking forward to going forward.

SPEAKER_00

100%. So let's drop the romance about something big that's in here that somehow we have to have a massive life thing happen. A kid or quitting your job to go all in on entrepreneurship and being like, hey, how could this be accessible for somebody right now? Because this is just a perspective, right? We choose for this moment to be a moment, and this moment can be the moment. And one of the things that's been a gift and a blessing for myself is, and I've shared this before, I never set out to become a coach. I just lived like one for more than a decade until I started to get hired to help people grow in all areas of their business and their life. So I first did the work on myself. So I was qualified to show other people how to do it because I started at zero, like everybody else. And that has really served me in this AI era with us being able to create with ChatGBT. So for someone right now who's like, yeah, this sounds great, but I don't have this major life moment happening that's gonna shape, that's gonna shift everything. Here'd be my encouragement for you be very intentional about putting in one specific prompt. Hey ChatGBT, I want to I want to shatter my belief ceiling of what I believe is possible. Because I know that anything is possible and I eat impossibility for breakfast. Dot dot dot. And then you build out from there. Because Chat GBT is a king of pattern recognition. So if you put it in, if you say there's gold in here, it'll be like, let me find the gold. If you say, where's the friction? It'll find the friction. So if we now say, well, wait a second, we can actually work on our own mindset and beliefs by putting it into chat GBT and saying, hey, I want to create this impossibility mindset for myself. Let's build this out, let's unpack this. What's this look like? Act as Tony Robbins, my world class coach, or Ed Milette, my world class coach, or Dan Martell, my world class coach, with depth and commentary. Make this simple and easy to understand. And I share this because I'm not romantic about AI. I don't have a tech background, I don't have an AI background, but I have a background on having an impossibility mindset. Right? So when you can meet that with AI, it can help you connect the dots. Because Genesis, we both know this. It's very challenging to connect the dots looking forward, but it's very easy to see all of them connect going backwards. But here's the beauty of Chad GBT: is you can put in what you want that end state to be, impossibility mindset, and it'll go, oh, let me connect those dots backwards for you to where you're reading that. And for any of us who've ever experienced this, you can sort of like get your breath taken away where you're like, oh, what did I just see? And this is where I created the term impress yourself, where you create something so good with ChatGBT, you're like, damn, this is just straight fire. So I'm sharing this because this is literally the practical way you can do it. This is how I use Chat GBT to shatter my own belief ceiling. And it's my first step. If you don't have something big in your world, what would you recommend to someone where we want to drop the heaviness and make this accessible?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I love first of all what you're sharing with AI because I think for a lot of people it's still foreign and they're still trying to figure out how do I even use this thing and can I even use it for something such as a prompt like that? And and I would agree a hundred percent that it's such a great mentor, it's such a great opportunity to be able to share ideas. And as you said, pattern recognition, it really works with you over time as you're trying to create consistency, accountability, having an extra support system. So it's important to utilize it as a tool. And and when we know that we have more tools in our toolbox, we have more accessibility. And I think for many of us, what the greatest challenge is is we're like, okay, I got the vision, I know what I want to do, but how do I do it? And and that's where the Chat GPT comes in, because it essentially helps you to strategize and move into that next phase of like, what are the next steps? What could the next steps potentially be? And so I think that that's where AI is coming in to be such a huge time saver for us because you know, when it's taking all those extra hours to start processing and thinking about, we can throw in these ideas, and then next thing you know, we've got a whole list of next potential steps. The other part of this is actually making the time. And so we talked about self-awareness, we talked about uh bringing this into your daily routine, making it part of everything that you do. This is a lifestyle, right? So we we are living this lifestyle day in and day out because we are becoming this belief system. We are this belief system, we're growing from this belief system. Um it's more and more of who we are every single day. And so my idea is always I'm thinking to myself, how can I incorporate this throughout the day so that there are essentially periods of time where I am moving the needle forward in my growth? And part of that is, as Dan would say, you know, those five non-negotiables, taking time to make sure you're moving your body, you're you're writing in your journal, you're reading, you are bettering yourself in some capacity. And all of this is encompassed around self-awareness. So that is part of the how to is making sure that you are focusing on yourself, on that growth, because when you do that, then you're setting the tone for everything else that you're gonna do out in the world.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and let's sort of unpack the self-awareness side real quick, because there's levels to this game. So there is zero to one, are you self-aware or not? I was not self-aware for the first 30 years of my life. So I know that there's a lot of people who it's not, because it blows my mind that at no point during kindergarten through 12th grade, four years of college, and a decade in corporate America, no one said, Hey Rob, have you ever heard the term self-awareness? Nowhere. So because of that, and it's only the most important thing that changes your entire life, where you say, Well, wait a second, you're in charge of every single aspect of your life. You're like, huh? What are you talking about? Because I lived, it's certainly in my 20s, large periods of time where I did not like life, where I was working in a call center, making$10 an hour, being Peter from office space, just living for the weekends type thing. And once you're in the game, all right, cool, I'm in charge of everything. It doesn't mean that everything's puppy dogs and rainbows. But I think the mastery level of all of this is you're always aware. Right? So there is, yes, I understand self-awareness, but then there's sensory acuity, your sharpness of thought, and always being aware of all that's going on. And we can be intentional about these little micro things. So this is stacking ones over zeros. So this would be around your ability to be aware of your own belief and your belief process, being aware of your mindset, being aware of your ability to dream and imagine and think big and believe the impossible is possible. Because what this actually does is it like each one activates a new world. And in my coaching, one of the things that is an immediate uh red flag for me, which you will never hear out of my mouth, is the term I forgot. Right? Because I forgot is a signal for lack of process, right? So I shouldn't forget to always believe in myself. I shouldn't forget to have an impossibility mindset because, like we said, it's a lifestyle, a mindset, and a way of being. But so many people just forget, like you said, oh, you got post-it notes, you got these affirmations and these things all over the place to have that awareness. Self-awareness doesn't have to mean that you're always on. Sometimes you might just say, I need reminders all over the place to make sure that I keep the main thing the main thing. And what's that main thing? My dreams, my goals, my vision, my family, my belief, my generosity, my faith, whatever that is. So, how do you see sort of the levels of the game of self-awareness? Because to me, this is an absolute superpower.

SPEAKER_01

So, so I think it's really an awakening, and it starts to happen when we start to look at what's important to us. Are we asking ourselves the questions of what is important to us in general, just in life? If we don't have any core values, if we don't have a life mission, if we don't have goals, period. We talk about goals a lot. That right there is self-awareness because you're not heading in any specific direction, you're just going through the progressions, right? So I think some of us are kind of in an awakened stupor where we're just like going through the day-to-day processes and we think that this is all there is to life without realizing that there's so much more. So awareness really starts with a decision, it starts with an initial decision to do something different. We want more. There is inertia that's created once we realize that there's this innate desire. So if anybody's listening right now, it doesn't have to be this big immaculate transformation overnight. This is a step-by-step thing. This is something that we gradually learn. And to your point, Rob, I was not self-aware either. Like I think back in my early 20s, and I was going door to door doing the sale thing, and just feeling like, you know, this is gonna be my life forever. And, you know, it's it's very eye-opening when you can look back on your life and understand the things that you went through and you learned from all those experiences, but you don't necessarily know that you were learning at the time. Uh we can look back and say, gosh, I'm I'm such a better person because of all the challenges that I've personally experienced. And it's actually a beautiful thing. It makes us who we are today. But I think that, as I said initially, this starts with a single decision to want to grow, to want to be better, to want to learn, to have opportunities that are right in front of us. And once we make that initial decision, it's like the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Then we can start walking. And we don't have to run right away, but we can just initiate this process and this new way of living, and the world opens up to us. And so once we we kind of open our eyes, if you will, then we start getting these opportunities presented to us. And so it's it's such a beautiful thing. It's kind of like a black and white black and white world that turns into color. And and so once you you start seeing that, all of a sudden you're like, yeah, and and I want to do that, and I want to pursue that, and that's important to me, and I want to collaborate here, and and and you realize that there are no limitations, only the ones that we create within ourselves, and it's really profound.

SPEAKER_00

I absolutely love it, and that's exactly how I feel about creating with chat GBT and AI. Once again, so many people live in lack. I don't know what I'm doing, it's brand new. I don't have a tech background, I'm not a coder, and I'm like, holy smokes, can you imagine this is real? It's like creating magic. If I had this 10 years ago, this is unright, because it's the lens I choose to see it with. And you said something, and this will be our our last thing that we jam on, which is a beautiful transition, is the new beginnings, right? It's the way that we frame these things, and it doesn't have to be big, it doesn't have to be heavy, it doesn't have to be hard, it can be whoa, new world to play in. I've never met this person. What about this thing? What happens if I go this way? And where I learned this circuitously early on in my journey was uh early on in my entrepreneurial journey when I was not this person, I audited the success habits for the most successful people. So one of the books I read was Tim Ferris's four-hour work week. And then I started to listen to his podcast, and he's all over the place in terms of how you can speed read uh jujitsu, uh mushrooms to you name it, right? And he even says, I only expect 20% of my audience to listen to any one episode. But one of the things that I really took from him was the way that he experimented with himself, right? So everything became like a micro challenge. Or let me try out living in Thailand and being a kickboxer, or let me try out uh only eating this diet, or let me try out, and I was like, wow, I really like that mindset. Uh this then yes, added into me getting into Jesse Itzler's world with the build your life resume community, where you live by design, not by default. And once I heard that term, I was like, what? I was like, you're telling me we can design all of what we want to create in our life? So newness for a lot of people is I can't go over there, it's dark, it's the unknown. Newness for me is like, whoa, new world to play in. And it's an important perspective, and definitely in the AI era, because there's a lot of fear and scarcity and lack around why we don't things. But everything I'm hearing you say, Genesis, is well, wait a second. Once you step into the newness, now we're at zero. You're like, I could go here or there, or the world can bring me stuff, or there's some magic, or what if I had this mindset that wonderful things could happen if I meet people? What if I go on this podcast? What if I do this? And now you've got an energy that is totally different.

SPEAKER_01

I I love the what if factor because the what if means that I might just go outside of something that I've never done before. What if I do this? Maybe I'll meet someone. What if I do this? An opportunity might present itself. And when we completely reframe this, you know, we're talking about kind of stepping into fear, whereas there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, then we can get excited that there's always something on the other end of saying yes. And so I get really excited about this because not only is it what my name means, but it's also just such a big piece of my life, in that I want to help other people to recognize that it's not so scary, that it's actually opening up the door beyond what they're going to be able to experience, but all the things that they're gonna be able to do with other people because they're then setting the tone and being the example for their audiences. And so it's just a compounding factor where when they say yes, then there's gonna be a lot more yeses, and that's part of for myself when I'm always thinking about oh, I don't want to show up today, or it's it's been a long day, or I'm tired, or whatever. I just always remember that in the back of my mind that there are people out there that are listening that need to hear the message, they need to be encouraged, they need the inspiration, and and through that, the world changes. And and I love that we're talking about the big picture here because it really truly is so much more about not just the conversation that you and I are having, but where everything is going and what people are looking for. And that this this great coming together, this great collective effort of energy and magnetism towards growth, it's just such a great time to be alive and such a great time to really truly make a difference. So I I'm very excited for new beginnings. I'm excited for what you're doing here and and all the amazing efforts that you're putting forth in the podcast because you know, you just by by sharing everything that you are here with regards to the AI and just, you know, as you say, jamming, love had love that term, and and bringing all these ideas and concepts to the table. We're helping the listeners to recognize that their idea can be realized too, that it doesn't have to be hidden, it can be brought out into the light and it can be talked about and it can be realized. Um, so so yeah, I I think every day is a new beginning. Every morning that we wake up is a chance to make a difference and it's a chance to brighten somebody's world. And and so any way that we can do that by stepping in, whether it's giving the smile or, like you said, passing each other in church, there are there's there's this energy towards uh shifting and making the world a better place.

SPEAKER_00

So let's wrap a bow on this and leave everybody with one takeaway, one nugget, one thing of inspiration, something that's inside of you and will make this concise. And I'll lead here. And for me, it's something that you said that I'm a yes, and we have such an opportunity right now to create positive impact in this world. At no point in the history of the world have we had a better opportunity. And for all the negativity that's out there, that is even more of a reason why people like us rise and believe in those new beginnings and do the work on ourselves and to inspire others to make the world a better place. So be your own yes, don't be your own no. What about you?

SPEAKER_01

So good. I would say uh make that decision. Make that decision to go for it because there are a lot of things that could potentially hold us back. There are a lot of things that can prevent you from taking action. But if you know in your heart that you are meant to do this thing, then saying yes is gonna put you in a completely different trajectory. So moving into this space and being all in on this next commitment is not only gonna change your family, not only gonna change you, it's gonna change the world. Because what you have inside of you is meant to be there. It's ready to be unleashed, it's powerful, it's empowering. And through through your yes, basically everything that's going to come to pass is going to change, it's gonna change the world. And so I I love going back to that. And I know you wanted to keep this short, sweet, and concise, but um I think the initial decision to go all in is what we all need to hear.

SPEAKER_00

Love that. Genesis, I love jam with you. It's the first of many. Where can everybody connect with you?

SPEAKER_01

So I'm on all socials. I'm at Genesis Hague Crick. My company is Dream Ignite Build, and then my website is genesyspeaks.com.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely love that. And I would love to hear from you. Is there anything that we talked about today that caused you to think or take action? Or how would you describe the way that you create belief and eat impossible for breakfast in your world? You can hit me up on all social media platforms at Rob Crasty.
