How do you know if you are struggling with surrender? See if any of these statements ring true for your life:
· I think I can change people.
· I worry more often than I’m at peace.
· I like to hover over people and make sure they are doing things to my expectations.
· I have a hard time being in the passenger seat.
· I have confidence in myself but not in others.
· I trust myself more than I trust God.
· I often tell people how things will go and leave no room for other options.
· I rarely consult God.
· I compare myself to other people.
· I question the validity of God’s Word.
· I would rather do things myself than ask God for help.
· I don’t think God has my best interest at heart.
· I control my children because I don’t want them to make mistakes.
· I don’t want God’s will in my life; I would rather do things my way.
· I’m confused about my purpose in life.
*I feel like my plan is the most important.
