What Is The Spirit Of Wisdom? Ephesians 1:17 // Ep. 110
Knowledge = information
Understanding = revelation
Wisdom = application, demonstration, transformation
While people are asking for more resources, finances, things...
But we must continue to pray for the spirit of wisdom!
6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you. (Proverbs 4:6)
If you exalt wisdom she will promote you!
8 Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. (Proverbs 4:8)
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, (Ephesians 1:17)
It's easy to obtain things.
But there's a level of wisdom to be able to maintain things.
It's easy to get into a relationship.
It's more challenging to maintain a healthy relationship.
It's easy to get into a house.
It's more challenging to maintain a house.
Wisdom is spiritual maturity.
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 11:2)
We need these 7 spirits of the Lord.
Spirit of the Lord
Spirit of wisdom
Spirit of understanding
Spirit of counsel
Spirit of might
Spirit of knowledge
Spirit of the fear of the Lord
Experience is a hard teacher.
Wisdom is the best teacher.
You'll know wisdom is all around the bible... Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes & so much more.
Solomon wrote the book of Proverbs in his earlier life.
Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes in his later life.
Solomon prayed this prayer to the Lord, & he could of asked for anything else but he prayed this..
9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” (1 Kings 3:9)
& God was pleased with this prayer.
(1 Kings 3:10-12)
All that God wants is our heart!
That level of humility, surrender & sacrifice... to get access to the power of God!
Diligence
Discretion
Prudence
Understanding
Knowledge
Wisdom
Discernment
Discipline
Fear of the Lord
11 Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you, (Proverbs 2:11)
2 That you may preserve discretion,
And your lips may keep knowledge. (Proverbs 5:2)
12 “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And find out knowledge and discretion. (Proverbs 8:12)
15 The simple believes every word,
But the prudent considers well his steps. (Proverbs 14:15)
7 Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding, (Proverbs 2:3)
5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:5)
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; (Proverbs 2:6)

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

And sweetness of the lips increases learning. (Proverbs 16:21)
Now... there is a level of wisdom the world has access to.
James calls it demonic wisdom.
Corinthians calls it the wisdom of this age.
