You can look good on the inside, but spirit is that on the outside?

We need discernment & wisdom!

Discernment is investigation.

Wisdom is our ability to understand discernment, obedience, timing & application.

How to increase in discernment?

knowing, understanding, applying the word of God, & praying in the spirit!

Heal from trauma
Heal from unforgiveness
Heal from dysfunction

Because dysfunction will blur your discernment

We’re called to test EVERY spirit in Jesus name

1. Wicked - assigned to harm you.
2. Selfish - can’t really love.
3. Ignorant - lack of knowledge
4. Foolish - despise wisdom or quarrelsome. makes foolish decisions.

2 Chronicles 18: 1-27

1. Wicked

30 Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. (1 Kings 16:30)

11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the godly will flourish. (Proverbs 14:11)

29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29)

2. Selfish

1 Therefore if there is any [a]consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:1-4)

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:18-21)

3. Ignorance

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. (Ephesians 4:17-19)

4. Foolish

1 A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. (Proverbs 14:1)

11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness. (Proverbs 26:11)
