The millennium debate often gets mired in abstract timelines, but Revelation 20 demands we focus on a different question: who actually reigns with Christ during this period? Malcolm and Slim unpack questions from Mosaic Waco's sermon series on Revelation.
In review of Slim's sermon on Revelation 20, we discuss: pre-millennial, post-millennial, amillennial, and Pan-millenial views. In a moment when many Christians seek political power without the cross, Revelation offers the path to reigning with Christ necessarily involves suffering with him.
We address other pressing questions like: what happens immediately after death? Will physical disabilities remain in eternity? How Christians should care for creation while maintaining eternal perspective. What about the RAPTURE? All of this...and... we have a NEW POPE! But is that news as important as the world records being broken? You'll have to listen to see.

The "t" in LGBTQ (Transgender) has become one of the most heated cultural flashpoints of our time, leaving many Christians struggling to respond with both theological faithfulness and Christ-like compassion. How do we understand gender dysphoria through a biblical lens while genuinely caring for those who experience it?
Enter Dr. Mark Yarhouse, Director of the Sexual and Gender Identity Institute at Wheaton College and author of groundbreaking works like "Understanding Gender Dysphoria" and "Emerging Gender Identities." With over two decades of clinical experience and research, Dr. Yarhouse brings a rare combination of psychological expertise and Christian conviction to this complex conversation.
Warning: Before this convo, Malcolm and slim tackle a polarizing debate going around the online community. Sadly, this topic has divided even our hosts. Will they stay friends after seeing the world so differently?
Also, good news and bad news for Christians regarding anti-christian bias!
We hope you'll give this a listen.

As our nation grapples with what many are calling a constitutional crisis, how should Christians respond? Malcolm and Slim wade into these turbulent waters with theological depth and pastoral sensitivity as expressed in calling some christian's response to mass deportations a "Toxic Soup of Dumb."
Malcolm opens with a profound meditation on the heart of the Christian faith—not political power or cultural dominance, but Christ's invitation to share in his relationship with the Father. This theological foundation becomes crucial as we tackle disturbing current events including deportations, executive overreach, and treatment of vulnerable populations.
The conversation doesn't shy away from naming evil or expressing righteous anger. But they don't leave listeners in despair. Drawing from scripture, church history, and theological wisdom, they outline practical responses for Christians navigating these difficult times: knowing your rights to protect neighbors, engaging in non-violent resistance, joining communities of lament and support, and most crucially, finding peace through prayer rather than doom scrolling. (try hope scrolling?)
What makes this episode particularly powerful is how it connects our present moment to the Easter story. This isn't wishful thinking but the solid foundation of Christian hope in troubled times.
Please share this episode with anyone struggling to find hope.

What does the Book of Revelation actually reveal about our current political moment? Malcolm and Slim dive into this apocalyptic text to discover it's not as mysterious as we've been led to believe—it's a crystal-clear political critique that speaks directly to our time of tribal allegiances and corrupted power.
We explore how Revelation sets up the ultimate conflict between "Team Lamb" (Christ) and "Team Dragon" (the devil and his systems of oppression), challenging listeners to examine where their true loyalties lie. Using recent political developments as touchpoints, we unpack how the biblical imagery of "the beast" applies to modern imperialism and nationalism. What makes this conversation particularly urgent is how many in the church have aligned themselves with policies and leaders that directly contradict Christ's teachings about caring for the most vulnerable.
Most powerfully, we explore Revelation's call to "come out of Babylon"—not as physical immigration but as a spiritual realignment away from systems of domination. Don't run into her 'glitttery arms'!
All that as well as crossbows, charizard cheetos, and more!

Join us as we engage in a profound discussion addressing greed's pervasive and insidious influence in our lives. In this episode, we welcome our own, Malcolm Foley, author of "The Anti-Greed Gospel," who offers a fresh perspective on the intersection of money, race, and spirituality. As we navigate the complexities of our modern world, this new world order with the new administration, Malcolm reiterates how greed perpetuates a cycle of exploitation, violence, and lies that affect all areas of our life.
Malcolm shares his insights on how the church can actively participate in dismantling these harmful structures and instead foster a community of sharing and support. His compelling approach calls us to reflect on our resources and relationships, urging us to cultivate a spirit of generosity and mutual aid.
Since we've been on hiatus for a little bit, we looked back on the 1st couple weeks of 2025...and whoa! There's just so much to discuss! In this episode we scraped the surface and talked about:

Hello Darkness My old Friend...
Today we sit down with Cody Balfour, the Director of Family Life at Koinonia Church, to discuss his book "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark," which addresses fear and anxiety from a uniquely Christian perspective. Cody pastorally opens his heart and offers hope for many walking in darkness and despair. We reflect on hope, resilience, and the impact of embracing the resurrection in the face of adversity, drawing inspiration from biblical teachings and the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Before this, we wrestled with a few Terrible Tweets:
1) We confront a controversial tweet from Grimke Seminary, sparking a dialogue about inclusivity and the importance of diverse voices in theological education. With open hearts and evolving perspectives, we challenge the notion that pastoral roles should be exclusively masculine, advocating for a broader understanding of faith that embraces all genders and backgrounds.
2) Then we take notice how lucrative the business of fear is as we reflect on the death of Hal Lindsey.
If you want to learn more about Cody, check out his site here.

Can Christian centrism truly address the complexities of wealth, power, and racial injustice, or does it fall short of delivering meaningful change? Our latest episode welcomes Adam Joyce, a Chicago-based nonprofit consultant, who challenges the notion that centrist approaches can adequately tackle these pressing issues.
We lament the recent article critiquing the positive examples of fatherhood and gender roles surrounding the cartoon "Bluey." And we confront the tendency to misrepresent political opponents while excusing allies with the recent "Jesus is Lord" protestors at a Kamala rally.
Our conversation moves beyond mere rhetoric, urging listeners to focus on policies that impact the marginalized and oppressed. Lastly, we explore Christian socialism, and question how faith can drive real-world change and not just personal growth. Take a listen and let us know where you agree and where you don't!

What happens when you blend the art of storytelling with the intricacies of faith? Renowned author Stephen James joins us, and his insights might just transform how you view fiction. As we navigate the complex themes in Christian art, we question the label of "Christian" and its implications.
Drawing inspiration from literary icons like Flannery O'Connor and GK Chesterton, we discuss how storytelling can authentically capture the world's darkness and light. By avoiding fixed agendas and embracing dilemmas, we explore the potential for stories to evolve into unexpected revelations, underscoring the power of authenticity in art and faith.
Known for his gripping thrillers, Stephen shares the journey from thrillers to his re-released prayer book, A Heart Exposed: Talking to God with Nothing to Hide. (to be released soon). We also explore his newest work, "Rift," and how it might serve as a bridge for a younger generation.
This episode goes deep, but don't worry we made sure to cover some terrible tweets surrounding common christian colloquialisms.

On today's episode, we had the honor to sit down with the incredible Matthew Soerens from World Relief. The topic of immigration feels radioactive and untouchable for the average person. What's Law got to do with it? On today's episode we sit down with Kent Mckeever, a lawyer, executive director of Greater Waco Legal Services (a non-profit legal firm), and a former pastor.
Kent lays out the beauty and application of his love for Jesus and Justice as inspiration for his work in providing legal assistance for All. Everyone regardless of their financial status has the right to a quality attorney. Their sliding scale fees and payment plans make it affordable and available to people who might not expect it.

On Today's Episode we respond to the horrific assassination attempt on former President Trump's life. What does this mean for our country? What spiritually can we glean from his life being spared? Did God save Trump? Does Ephesians 6:11 play a part?
Then we wrestle with Adam Joyce's article on Christianity and Third-Way-ism, titled "If there is a “third way”, this isn’t it: How Christian centrists acquiesce to America’s broken political system."
Why are Christians so woefully prepared to talk about politics? Is it because we've been discipled to only discuss the 'How' and ignore the 'what?' What are the implications of such thinking? Listen and wrestle with us!

Whose Fault is Poverty?
The poor, the rich, something else? Today we tackle this tricky topic biblically. Then the guys respond to a terrible tweet from the current President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his article: The Verdict Is In. This is in response to former President Donald Trump convicted as guilty of 34 felony counts for falsifying business records. The news of his guilt has brought many responses including memes of Jesus comforting Trump saying, "It's okay, they called me guilty too." Which spurred Malcolm's response in his new article: "Hallowed Be Thy Name: Your President is Not Jesus"

Over the last couple of years, the topic of Christian Nationalism has come up a number of times. And today we're honored to have Dr. Andrew Whitehead on to help us think through this especially during this political season.
Dr. Whitehead is one of the foremost scholars of Christian nationalism in the United States. He is the author of American Idolatry: How Christian Nationalism Betrays the Gospel and Threatens the Church, which is the subject of much of our conversation and also is the lead author of Taking America Back for God: Christian Nationalism in the United States. He has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, CNN Today, The Economist, Rolling Stone, and The Guardian. He has been interviewed on NBC News, National Public Radio, and the BBC, among others.
Dr. Whitehead argues at the center of this conversation is Christianity's relationship to power for only a specific group of people and the methods used to obtain and retain it through fear and violence. All of which are anti-christ.
We hope today's conversation will challenge you to ponder love versus fear in your community. And we hope to give you 1 or 2 tools to use as you begin conversations with those who embrace this corrupt philosophy/theology.

Are you ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride?
Buckle up as we navigate the entwined tracks of faith, nationalism, and capitalism. Our spirited discourse leaps from the laughable to the profound, starting with the absurdity of a themed Bible endorsed by a political heavyweight. We'll untangle the motivations behind such moves and what they herald for America's religious and political climate.
The tension heightens with a spicy analysis of the US's role in the Israel-Palestine conflict. We scrutinize the paradox of providing both military might and humanitarian relief, emblematic of a greater moral quagmire. Our conversation doesn't stop at the gates of controversy; we pry open the divergent Christian perspectives on Israel, dissecting the web of theology and politics that influence them. The birth of modern Israel post-WWII and its biblical interpretations by Christians are placed under the microscope, revealing layers that many narratives leave concealed.
Our episode culminates with a deep reflection fitting for Holy Week, exploring the realms of Christ's submission to divine will and the enigmatic doctrine of his descent into hell, known as "The Harrowing of Hell." These are not just theological footnotes; they're pivotal to understanding the crux of Christian faith. It's a soul-searching expedition through scripture and doctrine, and whether you're a devout believer or a theological detective, there's something profound waiting for you here.
