Episode 4 of Season 7 flips the script as Sean throws Romi straight into the hot seat for a debate episode that goes off the rails almost immediately. What starts as a competitive round of “Tower of Nerd” quickly collapses when Romi misunderstands the rules and accidentally sabotages the entire game.
From there, the gloves come off with a series of increasingly unhinged “Would You Rather” scenarios: Superman’s powers or Batman’s money? A peaceful cottage in Sonic’s Zone 1 or an apartment in the Mushroom Kingdom? The trade-offs only get more cursed as the hypotheticals escalate into peak ONB territory. Franchise futures are also on the line, as they debate whether sacrificing Avengers: Doomsday for an all-time great X-Men era is worth it — and whether a bad The Batman II would be acceptable collateral damage for a fire Brave and the Bold.
The back half keeps the pressure on with rapid-fire “This or That” picks — practical effects vs full CGI, binge drops vs weekly releases, 60 FPS vs cinematic 30 — before a tense Blind Ranking of sci-fi classics that guarantees at least one unforgivable placement. They close by defending one of the most inflammatory takes of the season: “Audiobooks don’t count as reading.” It’s competitive, ridiculous, slightly inappropriate, and exactly the kind of episode that leaves one host questioning their friendships.
