Welcome to Every Day A New Thought. I'm Thor Challgren.

Today, I want to talk about my plans to spend $465,000 In the next 30 days, and I want to invite you on this same journey. In the next two episodes, I'm going to share how to spend $465,000 in 30 days. Now what I'm going to do is describe what's often referred to as the Prosperity Game. It's been around a while it was popularized by Jerry and Esther Hicks, in their book "Ask And It Is Given," though you may have seen it around and because the idea is fairly simple.

So here's the thing. I'm not actually spending $465,000. Not in real money anyway, I'm spending imaginary money, but I'm doing it in a way that feels very real in the moment that I'm spending it. So today in this episode, this is part one, I'm going to talk about how this prosperity game works. Then tomorrow in part two, I'll share why it works. And also share some of my insights after having done this for about one week.

So here's how it works. First, you're going to pick a day to start on that day, you will receive $1,000 of imaginary money to spend any way you want. The next day, you'll receive $2,000 to spend, then the third day $3,000, etc. So by the time you get to 30 days, you will have spent a total of $465,000. I think I read somewhere that if you do this for a year, you'd be spending somewhere in the millions and millions of dollars, because each day, it goes up by $1,000.

So how do you spend it? Here's the fun thing, any way you want it. Your goal, if you choose to accept it -- this sounds like Mission:Impossible, doesn't it? -- is to spend the money in the same day. But that's not required, you can save some and spends, you know, save it for the next day. And you can also buy several things you don't have to buy all one thing on that day, you can split up the money, it's your money, you can do whatever you want.

The biggest point here is to treat this as realistically as you can. If you have for instance, an old checkbook ledger, if you even remember what those are, you can keep track in there, where you write in the deposit of $1,000, then when you spend something you write exactly how much it was that you spent, and do that as a deduction so that you're keeping track of it. When you spend something write that item in detail. And this is one of the key points is that you really want to describe it and imagine what it feels like to spend that money, you know that your brain doesn't know the difference between something that's real, and something that's vividly imagined. So what you're doing is creating a vivid experience a picture in your mind of what it's like to have this, that energetic feeling of having what you want.

Also one of the reasons why this is so powerful is since you're gonna get even more money tomorrow, you can spend the money today and feel good about it. When you spend that first $1,000, you don't have to think to yourself, oh, this is frivolous. And I don't know, when my next money is going to come because you do you're gonna get twice as much tomorrow.

So every day you get to spend what you want and feel good about it, which is part of what you're starting to do is you're shifting your energy to being to knowing that you are the expansion of the entire universe and that this, this law of circulation goes through you and that when you spend you receive, so you are training your energetic imagination to believe that.

For those of you who are watching on YouTube, if you have questions, write them in the comments. I will answer if you're listening on the podcast, you can reach me on Instagram. I'm @ThorChallgren.

So tomorrow in the episode, I'm going to share my insights on my first week and I'll kind of answer some questions that I had to resolve for myself, like, would I pay off my mortgage with this? Or do I just buy new things? Do I give money away to charity? And I'll answer how I came up with my own way of thinking about that. Because you may have some of those same questions.

And also in tomorrow's episode tell you the most expensive thing that I bought in the first week. And honestly, it's kind of silly, but I'll tell you tomorrow what that is. And right.

Thank you so much for watching the show today. I look forward to seeing you in tomorrow's episode where I in part two, where I talk about sort of the nuances of the prosperity game and how you can implement this in your life. Thanks so much for watching.
