Hebrews 8-10a

Julie Calio Season 58 Episode 8

In this section, the writer of Hebrews explains the tabernacle, and how the curtains separate the holy place from the Holy of Holies, where God dwelt. It was only the High Priest who was allowed to enter, and only once a year on the Day of Atonement, and he must have blood, because only with blood can sin be forgiven. Jesus shed His own blood, and His sacrifice was done once for all who believe in Him. The writer explained that Jesus' sacrifice, which was better, brought about a more excellent ministry, and a better covenant with better promises. Jesus' sacrifice can give believers a clear conscience. Now that Jesus has died, arose, and ascended, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father, someday He will appear a second time for salvation for those who eagerly await for Him.
