Hebrews 12-13

Since we have such a great group of witnesses listed in chapter 11 of Hebrews, plus there are all the ones that the writer did not have time to mention, we are to get rid of everything that causes us to not run our best. We are to keep our eyes on Jesus who stayed faithful because His eyes were focused on the joy that was coming, and now He is sitting at the right hand of God's throne. We are not to give up when life gets hard, because we also should remember that our Father God disciplines His children in order to make us more like Himself. We are to pursue peace and holiness, and get rid of bitterness. We are to love one an other, show hospitality to strangers, remember the prisoners and the ill-treated. Marriage is to be honored. We are not to be greedy, but generous with God's blessings to us. We are to remember those who taught us and imitate their godly lives. We are also to offer praise to God and to give Him thanks, We learn in this passage that the writer is in Italy, that Timothy has been released, and they hope to visit soon. "Grace be with you all" (13:25)!
