#332-"New Chances to Listen, New Chances to Be Heard"-Week of September 29, 29025
This week’s cycles invite you to find your voice in the tension between self and other, and to alchemize old wounds of belonging into courageous self-expression under the light of the Full Moon.
Wednesday, October 1 – Mercury in Libra squares Jupiter in Cancer
The Storyteller (Mercury) in Libra, sign of balance and relational harmony, encounters tension with the Teacher (Jupiter) in Cancer, the sign of belonging, lineage, and emotional roots. This square can amplify conversations about fairness, truth, and belonging—sometimes exaggerating perspectives or inflating the desire to be “right.” There’s an invitation to expand your vision while also listening carefully to others’ truths, especially when your own need for belonging gets stirred. Miscommunication may highlight old emotional patterns that are ready to grow into greater wisdom.
Reflection Question: Where are my words or thoughts asking for expansion beyond old family or belonging stories, and how can I hold space for multiple truths without losing my own voice?
Friday, October 3 – Mercury in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries
Here the Storyteller (Mercury) in Libra directly faces the Wounded Healer (Chiron) in Aries. This can spotlight core wounds around self-expression—feeling unheard, unseen, or dismissed—and how these wounds play out in relationships. Conversations may carry a sharp edge, not because they are wrong, but because they touch a tender place of vulnerability. The medicine is in noticing how old wounds of self-assertion or self-worth shape current dialogues, and how to bring compassion and balance into the exchange. Healing can come by learning to speak your truth gently, without abandoning yourself.
Reflection Question: What tender wound in me is asking for compassionate communication, and how can I honor both my voice and the voices of others in this dialogue?
Looking Ahead to Next Week– Full Moon at 14° Aries (Oct 6)
The week builds toward a powerful Full Moon in Aries on Monday, Oct 6. This lunation illuminates the central polarity of the week: Libra’s call for harmony and connection versus Aries’ call for courage and authentic selfhood. The Moon in Aries shines on your need for bold self-expression, while the Libra Sun reminds you of the beauty of reciprocity and balance in relationship. Expect heightened emotions and the potential for breakthroughs—especially where old wounds around speaking up, being heard, or claiming your space in relationships are ready to shift.
This upcoming Full Moon acts as the alchemical climax of the week: all the Mercury conversations with Jupiter and Chiron prepare the ground for a liberating moment of truth under this Aries–Libra illumination.
Reflection Question: What truth of my own selfhood is ready to be spoken and witnessed under the light of the Full Moon?

Hello, welcome to Astrology Alchemy. I'm Sheila Belanger, your host for this podcast. Alchemy is defined as a seemingly magical process of transformation. Spiritual alchemy is the process of pursuing the gold of your true nature. By transmuting the unrefined limiting parts of yourself. In this podcast, I'll offer you inspiring insights from current astrology cycles that support your path of turning your personal lead into gold. More resources are available at the website on the edges of change.com. Welcome to episode number 332. This is for the week of September 29th, 2025. I'm your host and guide Sheila A phrase from this week's podcast poem, new Chances to Listen, new Chances to Be Heard. This week's cycle cycles invite you to find your voice in the tension between self and other, and to alchemize old wounds of belonging into courageous self-expression. Under the light of the upcoming Full Moon on Wednesday, October 1st, mercury in Libra Squares, Jupiter in Cancer. The storyteller archetype. Mercury in Libra, the sign of balance and relational harmony encounters tension with the teacher guide Jupiter in Cancer, the Zodiac sign of Belonging, lineage and emotional roots. This square pattern can amplify conversations about fairness, truth and belonging. Sometimes exaggerating perspectives or inflating the desire to be right. The archetype of Jupiter, the teacher, is about expansion and wisdom. In its wounded side, it's about exaggeration and pontificating. So when we have Mercury, the communicator, storyteller, character, and us connected with Jupiter, we wanna watch out for our tall tales and our need to get on our soapbox and speak out what the truth is. With this cycle, there's an invitation to expand your vision while also listening carefully to others' truths, especially when your own need for belonging gets stirred. Miscommunication may highlight old emotional patterns that are ready to grow into greater wisdom. Here's a reflection question for this cycle. Where are my words or thoughts asking for expansion beyond old family or belonging stories and how can I hold space for multiple truths without losing my own voice? That is a very powerful question for our world right now, particularly those of us who are in the United States. How can I hold space for multiple truths without losing my own voice? What if every citizen of the United States reflected on that question and changed some of their behavior in their thought forms? It's a prayer. By the way, if you're new to the podcast, the show notes for the podcast include all of the reflection questions for each of the astrological cycles.'cause as I express the cycles to you in layperson terms, hopefully from an archetypal point of view, I'd love to give you the reflection questions so that you can go inward and say, well, how am I tracking this in myself to open your awareness and empower you to make alchemical changes for the greatest good. On Friday, October 3rd, mercury and Libra opposes Chiron in Aries. With this cycle, the storyteller, mercury and Libra directly faces the wounded healer Chiron in Aries. Now, Chiron is a very fascinating heavenly body in our solar system. It's not a planet, it's a shapeshifter, and it's connected to the wounded healer and the shamanic one. Literally in the way that its body shows up. In our world, in our solar system, when it was first discovered, astronomers thought it was a planetoid. It has a very unusual elliptical orbit around the sun. And when it got closer to the sun in its orbit, it grew a tail, a comics tale. And so astronomers realize, woo, it's not an asteroid, it's not a comet, it's something else. It's a Shapeshifter and Chiron as the wounded healer archetype helps us to really understand the deeper metabolizing of wound material, both on a personal level in an and an on ancestral level. So this cycle with mercury opposite Chiron can spotlight core wounds around self-expression, feeling unheard, unseen, or dismissed. And how these wounds play out in relationships. Some of your conversations this week may carry a sharp edge, not because they are wrong, but because they touch a tender place of vulnerability. The medicine here is a noticing how old wounds of self-assertion or self-worth, shape, current dialogues and how to bring compassion and balance into the exchange. Healing can come by learning to speak your truth gently without abandoning yourself. Here's a reflection question for this cycle. What tender wounded me is asking for compassionate communication and how can I honor both my voice and the voices of others in this dialogue? Now looking ahead the very beginning of next week, I wanna name this cycle'cause you're probably gonna feel it by the weekend. This week builds towards a powerful full moon in Aries on Monday, October 6th. This LU Nation cycle illuminates the central polarity of the week. Libras call for harmony and connection versus Aries. Call for courage and authentic selfhood. The moon in Aries Full Moon in Aries shines on your need for bold self-expression. While the sun in Libra at this full moon reminds you of the beauty of reciprocity and balance in relationship, expect heightened emotions and the potential for breakthroughs. Especially where old wounds around speaking up being heard or claiming your space in relationships are ready to shift. This full moon on Monday coming up acts as the alchemical climax of this week. All the Mercury conversations with Jupiter and Chiron prepare the ground for a liberating moment of truth under this Aries Libra illumination. Here's a reflection question this week for the upcoming Full Moon, what Truth of My Own Selfhood is ready to be spoken and witnessed under the light of the full Moon? To just notice as you review these questions or as you travel in your week where you are noticing the invitation from the archetypes and where you feel ready and able. To lean in, and even if you're not ready, sometimes you're just going to be in the cauldron of the change. Take care of yourself. The poem that comes to offer for you this week is a gorgeous one from Rena Priest, a beautiful native poet. The forest for the trees, the forest for the trees. I have seen a tree split in two. From the weight of its opposing branches, it can survive. Though its heart is exposed. I have seen a country do this too. I have heard an elder say that we must be like the willow bend not to break. I have made peace this way. My neighbors clear cut their trees, leaving mine defenseless. The arborist says they'll fall in the first strong wind together. We stand, I see this now. I have seen a tree groan around, a bicycle, a street sign, and a chainsaw absorbing them like ingredients in a great melting pot. When we speak, whether or not we agree. The trees will turn the breath of our words from carbon dioxide into air. Give us new breath for new words. New chances to listen. New chances to be heard. The, the forest for the trees by Rena Priest. So let this poem be with you this week. Notice where there are opportunities that emerge. With the trees to turn your carbon dioxide of words into air. Notice where there's new breath for new words. Recognize a moment, a time, a new chance to listen. Recognize opportunities for a new chance to be hurt. Thank you for your presence.
