This week marks a turning point rather than a buildup of minor events. On Feb 13th, Saturn fully enters Aries, beginning a two-year cycle that will reshape how action, authority, and responsibility move through both personal and collective life.

Saturn is also moving toward a rare conjunction with Neptune, signaling the dissolution of false authority alongside the demand for mature, embodied leadership.

This is a shift in conditions, not just astrology. What has been diffuse, delayed, or hidden is coming under pressure. What has relied on impulse, fantasy, or force is being tested for integrity and endurance.

Alongside this, on Feb 17th, we experience the first Solar Eclipse of 2026 at 29° Aquarius, square Uranus in Taurus. This eclipse applies stress to collective systems, social contracts, technologies, and economic or material foundations. When Aquarius and Taurus collide, the tension between ideals and survival becomes unavoidable. What has been artificially stabilized can no longer hold.

We are also entering the Year of the Fire Horse, an energy of acceleration, volatility, and uncompromising movement. Fire Horse years amplify speed and intensity—but they do not reward recklessness. This is fire that must be shaped, contained, and directed with discernment.

Astrologically, we are witnessing a larger elemental transition as well: a gradual shift away from Earth and Water dominance into Air and Fire. This brings faster movement, sharper conflicts around truth and ideology, and an urgent need for clarity in both thought and action. Emotional processing and material reckoning are giving way to decisive moments that ask for ethical resolve.

This week's astrology aligns with:

  • The Forge, not the Fire — pressure applied with purpose
  • The Training Ground, not the Battlefield — courage developed through discipline
  • The Unmasking of Authority — legitimacy tested through accountability

Collectively, this moment coincides with visible authoritarian violence, extractive economic behavior, and escalating systems failure. These are not anomalies, but end-stage expressions of structures losing legitimacy. At the same time, quieter signals of the future are emerging through mutual aid, non-violent resistance, and community care.

Reflection Questions for the Week

Sit with these gently. They are meant to ground the archetypal themes into everyday life.

  1. Where in my life am I being asked to act with more maturity—not more force?
Notice where restraint, clarity, or responsibility would be more powerful than urgency or reaction.
  2. What from the last Saturn-in-Aries cycle (1996–1999) is ready to be completed, integrated, or consciously released now?
This may include an identity you formed, a way of leading or proving yourself, or a lesson that no longer needs to be relearned.
  3. How can I stay grounded, relational, and human in my responses—without hardening, rushing, or disengaging—as collective pressures intensify?
What helps you remain present and clear when conditions feel volatile?

This is a time for clean action, grounded presence, and courage shaped by responsibility.

More resources are available at the website on the edges of change.com. Hello, and welcome to episode number 351 of the Astrology Alchemy Podcast. This is for the week of February 9th, 2026, and I'm your host and guide, Sheila Je. Here's a phrase from this week's podcast poem. The sweet joy that flew out the door of your wild mouth. As we go into this podcast this week, I'm gonna give you top level sentences or phrases so you can track with me the astonishing cycles that we're living through this week. First, I wanna name the conditions we're living in. This week doesn't arrive with a flurry of small transits. It arrives with a shift in conditions. The kind you feel more than understand at first A on Friday, February 13th, the planet Saturn fully enters Aries beginning a two year cycle that will shape how action authority. And responsibility moved through our lives, both personally and collectively. Saturn the responsible one, the structure maker archetype is now traveling towards Neptune, the Dreamer, which already moved into Aries, and together they are asking us to grow up in places where we relied on impulse, fantasy, and inherited authority. This isn't a moment for prediction. It's a moment for orientation because what's arriving now is not just fire. It's the forge. The forge, how pressure shows up in daily life, fire on its own burns, indiscriminately. A forge applies heat with intention In everyday life, forge fire feels like this commitments that suddenly feel heavier, but also more honest decisions. You can no longer postpone without cost. A growing discomfort with half truths, performative certainty, or rushing just to relieve anxiety. Saturn Ines, the first fire sign of the Zodiac doesn't ask, what do you wanna start? It asks, what are you willing to be responsible for once it's alive? That question shows up in ordinary places, how you speak, when you're frustrated, how you lead, when others are watching, how you act when no one is I. This is not about perfection, it's about integrity under heat. The training ground, living with courage that's mature. The Zodiac sign areas often gets framed as conflict or combat, but Saturn reframes this entirely. This is not a battlefield, it's a training ground. In the training ground of everyday life, you may notice a need to slow down before reacting. An urge to act. That must be tempered by discernment situations we're doing less, but doing it cleanly has more impact than pushing harder. This is a cycle that rewards prepared presence, not bravado. You don't have to prove anything right now, but you are being asked to practice some things, acting without burning bridges, setting boundaries without hardening. Asserting truth without domination. This is how Saturn teaches courage, not through drama, but through repetition. The unmasking of authority, what no longer holds as Saturn MO moves towards. Its conjunction with Neptune on February 20th. Something subtle but powerful unfolds illusions, dissolve structures are tested. This is the unmasking of authority in personal life. This can feel like realizing someone you deferred to no longer holds the same weight. Noticing where you've given away your own authority, out of fear or habit. Feeling disillusioned and recognizing that disillusionment is clarity, not collapse. In collective life, we see this as well. Leaders who rely on force rather than legitimacy. Systems that demand compliance without care narratives that no longer match lived reality. What cannot tolerate scrutiny will either harden or crack. True authority right now is quiet, consistent, and accountable. It doesn't need to dominate to be real eclipse pressure where the system touches the body. Early next week, on Tuesday, February 17th, the first eclipse of 2026 arrives at the final degree of Aquarius. It squares the planet Uranus in Taurus. The first, first earth sign in the Zodiac. This is pressure on systems, but it lands in bodies, homes, finances, food, land, and nervous systems. Sensitive people often feel eclipse energy at least a week beforehand. You may feel this eclipse energy as instability that disrupts routines. Sudden awareness of what is no longer sustainable. A refusal internal or external or both to keep propping up what's already failing. This isn't chaos. For chaos sake, it's course correction. When stability has been artificially maintained, maintained truth arrives as disruption, again, forge pressure, and then we have the fire horse year speed meets discernment. Layered on top of this is the year of the fire hose Hor fire hose fire horse, which starts with this new moon. Acceleration without guarantees, movement. Without comfort in everyday terms, things move faster than your emotions can keep up. Decisions feel time sensitive even when they aren't. Urgency masquerades as truth Fire. Horse energy asks for discernment before momentum. Not everything that moves quickly is aligned. Not every impulse is a calling that raining ground matters here. Astrologically, we are witnessing a larger elemental transition as well. A gradual shift away from earth and water. Zodiac sign dominance into air and fire, zodiac sign presence. This brings faster movement, sharper conflicts around truth and ideology. And an urgent need for clarity in both thought and action. Emotional processing and material reckoning, water, earth, and water are giving way to decisive moments that ask for ethical resolve harvesting The last Saturn in Aries cycle, which began 1996 to 1999. For those alive and aware during the last Saturn and Air passage. This moment now carries a long arc Between 1996 and 1999, many people stepped into new roles, fought battles that shape their identity. Learned offer often painfully about impulse, courage, and consequence. You don't need to analyze that time. Just notice what still lives in your body from it. Where did speed serve you then, and where did it cost you? Where did pushing forward help and where did it bypass something essential? What identity or strategy from that era are you still carrying out of habit rather than choice? Saturn doesn't ask us to repeat the past. Saturn asks us to complete it. Some lessons don't need to be learned. Again, they need to be integrated and released. Collective turbulence, holding without collapsing. We are living through visible violence, capitalistic extraction, and authoritarian overreach each. These are not new forces. They are end stage expressions of systems losing legitimacy. What matters just as much are the quieter responses, mutual aid, community protection, non-violent refusal, people choosing relationship over domination. The future is not arriving fully formed. It is being practiced in kitchens, neighborhoods. Workplaces and inner lives. A few thoughts on how you might stand this week. This week doesn't ask you to fix the world. It asks you to stand honestly where you are. Forge not wildfire, training, ground, not battlefield, unmasking of authority. Not loss of meaning. These are initiatory conditions. Not a crisis to solve, but a terrain To learn how to stand within. Take your time, choose cleanly. Let responsibility mature your courage. Here are three reflective questions for you this week. Number one, where in my life am I being asked to act with more maturity, not more force. You might notice where slowing, clarifying, or taking responsibility would be more powerful than pushing. Another question. What from the last Saturn and Aries cycle, 1996 to 1999 is ready to be completed, integrated, or consciously Now might be an identity, a way of leading. A pattern of proving or a lesson already learned. And last question, how can I stay grounded and human in my responses without hardening, rushing, or disengaging as collective pressures intensify normal and clear in the midst of chaotic change? This is a time for clean action, grounded presence, and courage shaped by care. You have that in you. The poem that literally leaped out to offer you this week is called The Fire in the Song by David White. The mouth opens and fills the air with its vibrant shape until the air and the mouth become one shape. And the first word, your own word spoken from that fire surprises, burns grieves you now because you made that pact. With a dark presence in your life. He said, if you only stop singing, I'll make you safe. And he repeated the line knowing you would hear, I'll make you safe as the comforting sound of a door closed on the fear at last. But his darkness crept under your tongue. And became the dim cave where you sheltered and you grew in that small place too frightened to remember the songs of the world, its Impossible Notes and the sweet joy that flew out the door of your wild mouth as you spoke. The fire in the song by David White. So perhaps sometime this week you'll recognize an old pack you made with a dark presence. We all did it. The one that seduced you to stop singing so you'd be safe. Perhaps this week especially, you're noticing the dim cave that that pack took you to is way too small for your soul and way too small for the world. Maybe sometime this week you'll explore your mouth opening and the sweet joy that floats. Out the door of your wild mouth as you speak. Thank you so much dear ones for your presence.
