We are inside the field of the upcoming Solar Eclipse and the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, a rare pivotal week.

On February 17, 2026, the Solar Eclipse at 28° Aquarius activates the North Node (the dragon’s head), symbolizing appetite, growth, and evolutionary pull. In myth, the nodes were imagined as a dragon: the head hungry and grasping, the tail releasing and purging. When the eclipse aligns with the North Node, desire intensifies. Restlessness increases. The future presses forward.

In Aquarius, that hunger becomes collective.

We grow dissatisfied with outdated systems.
We feel the strain of identities that no longer fit.
We sense that the status quo cannot sustain what is coming.

This eclipse also squares Uranus in Taurus — the Maverick-Awakener grounded in the material world. Vision must root. Innovation must sustain life. Revolution must be embodied.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse is a preview of the larger Leo–Aquarius nodal shift later this year. The story of belonging, leadership, community, and collective responsibility is only beginning.

And then we widen the lens.

Saturn and Neptune are moving toward their conjunction on February 20th at 0° Aries — the very first degree of the zodiac. The last time these two met at this degree was nearly 6,000 years ago, during the dawn of early written language and formal calendar systems. Humanity was naming reality. Establishing shared agreements about time, meaning, and order.

We are standing at a similar threshold.

Saturn (structure, law, accountability) meets Neptune (vision, dissolution, transcendence). Together, they reset the boundary between what is real and what is imagined.

We are renegotiating reality.

Collectively, this may show up as institutions dissolving or restructuring, illusions surfacing, and new definitions of identity and authority emerging.

Personally, this week may bring:

  • Dissatisfaction without a clear replacement
  • A call to build something meaningful
  • A quiet recognition that an old agreement has expired
  • A hunger for the future that must be guided with maturity

This is not a week for impulsive action.

It is a week for orientation.

Nearly 6,000 years ago, humans were deciding how to name the world.

What are we naming now?

Something is being written again.

And you are not outside that story.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Where in my life am I being asked to renegotiate what is “real” — based on lived truth rather than habit or fear? (Notice where old assumptions no longer fit, even if nothing external has fully changed yet.)
  2. What am I hungry for — and is that hunger aligned with integrity or urgency? (The North Node’s appetite needs wise stewardship.)
  3. If I were naming my world anew from maturity rather than survival, what would I consciously call forward? (Think language, identity, agreements, roles.)

Hello, welcome to Astrology Alchemy. I'm Sheila Bellagio, your host for this podcast. Alchemy is defined as a seemingly magical process of transformation. Spiritual alchemy is the process of pursuing the gold of your true nature. By transmuting the unrefined limiting parts of yourself. In this podcast, I'll offer you inspiring insights from current astrology cycles that support your path of turning your personal lead into gold. More resources are available at the website on the edges of change.com. Hello and welcome to episode number 352 of the Astrology Alchemy Podcast. This is for the week of February 16th, 2026, and I'm your host and guide, Sheila Che. The phrase from this week's podcast poem, a Kerosene Beauty. It burned. Well, hello to all Last week I mentioned the upcoming solar eclipse and the year of the fire horse. Beginning this week naming this moment as ignition acceleration and collective threshold. This week we remain inside that solar eclipse field. The solar eclipse is on February 17th and occurs at 28 degrees of Aquarius. It is not just another loo nation. It is a preview of a larger storyline that will fully unfold when the lunar nodes shift into Leo and Aquarius later this summer in August. Eclipses are not subtle. They interrupt, they expose, they accelerate. In this new moon eclipse, the sun and moon coming together forms a tight square in the heavens to Uranus and Taurus, A very grounded earth sign. Uranus, the Maverick awakener of the breaker of stale structures. This is not disruption for spectacle. It is disruption for alignment. Eclipses occur when the sun and moon align near the lunar nodes. Those charged crossing points where the moon's path intersects the sun's path, when that alignment occurs, the dragon stirs. So let's explore what we call the dragon's head in Aquarius. The lunar nodes have always carried myth. They are symbolic doorways in the heavens. In ancient traditions, they were imagined as a dragon. The north net node, the head of the dragon, hungry and grasping the south node, the tail of the dragon releasing and expelling the north node symbolizes appetite because it represents where growth pulls us forward. Often awkwardly, often urgently, it is where desire, outpaces skill, where evolution demands participation in Aquarius, that north node appetite becomes collective. We grow restless with systems that no longer serve. We feel the deep strain of outdated agreements we see further ahead than the present moment can comfortably hold. And because this eclipse happens at the north node, it intensifies that hunger. But Aquarius can detach. It's an air sign, it can move into abstraction. It can become ideological, but the square to Uranus reminds us true revolution is embodied. Uranus and Taurus asks us, can your vision root, can the future take physical form? Can innovation, sustain life? This is elder work. No matter your age, not reactive rebellion, I, let's explore some echoes from other Aquarius years. We haven't had eclipses eclipses in Aquarius since 2017 to 2018, and the last time the North node moved through Aquarius was 2008 to 2009. Those years may hold clues both personally and collectively personally. What was shifting in your relationship to community then? To technology, to voice, to belonging. Eclipses reopened timelines. They don't repeat the past. They reveal what was seated there. And then we widen the lens deeply and mag magnificently. Saturn and Neptune are moving towards their exact conjunction on February 20th at zero degrees of Aries. The last time these two planets met at, at this exact degree was nearly 6,000 years ago at the dawn of recorded language and early calendar systems. Civilizations were formalizing time itself, naming reality, creating shared agreements about meaning. The zero degree mark of Aries is not symbolic, fluff. It is the first degree of the entire 360 degree zodiac, the first spark, the first breath of a new cycle when Saturn structure law, accountability. Meets Neptune Vision, dissolution, transcendence. At this degree, we are not merely adjusting policy or mood are renegotiating reality. Saturn defines the container. Neptune dissolves the container together. They ask what can truly hold now an on a collective level. This can look like. Institutions dissolving or restructuring ideals colliding with material limits, new definitions of identity and agency, emerging old illusions surfacing before they fall away. And on a personal level, where have you been living on borrowed beliefs? Where have has imagination outpaced discipline? Where has structure suffocated spirit? This conjunction is not dreamy and it is not harsh. It is clarifying. Let's honor how the year of the fire horse and the Aries Threshold weave at this new moon eclipse. We enter the year of the fire horse, Aries Ignition Forward movement. Initiatory energy, but initiation requires maturity. The new Moon Eclipse awakens appetite for change. The Saturn Neptune conjunction resets the foundation. The Aries Zodiac sign demands embodiment. This is not a week for impulsive declarations is a week for watching. The old agreements loosen internally and collectively. You may feel. Dissatisfied without clear replacement. Called forward without a full map tender around questions of belonging and leadership. A, a subtle but unmistakable sense that the old story is ending. That is not instability, that is reorientation. I, if we look at it from an elder vantage point, again, doesn't matter how old you are, this week is not about drama. It is about stewardship. The dragon's hunger must be guided. Revolution must be rooted. The vision must be built when language itself was first forming 6,000 years ago. Humans were deciding how to name the world. We are in a similar moment, how we define reality, how we define authority, how we define we. This new moon, eclipse and Saturn, Neptune conjunction are not separate events. They are braided. The future is pressing, the foundation is shifting. The very beginning degree is activated. Stay embodied, stay honest. Let collapse be clearing, not catastrophe. I something is being written again and you are not outside that story. As we close, I want to offer a few questions, not as tasks, not as something to solve, but as orientation, when civilizations first began forming language nearly 6,000 years ago. Humans were deciding how to name the world, what counted, what mattered, what held meaning we are in another moment like that, Saturn and Neptune at zero degrees Aries are renegotiating reality. The Aquarius eclipse is quickening the hunger for a different future. So rather than rushing to act, let yourself sit inside the questions, let them work on you. Action questions for the week first. Where in my life? Am I being asked to renegotiate what is real? Not based on habit or fear, but on lived truth. You could notice where old assumptions no longer fit. Even if nothing external has fully changed yet. A second question, what am I hungry for? And is that hunger aligned with embodied integrity or with urgency and reaction? The north nodes appetite, needs wise, stewardship. And last question. If I were naming my world anew from maturity rather than survival, what would I call forward? And what would I consciously release? Consider language, identity agreements, roles here. Thank you so much for your presence with this material. The podcast poem that emerges to help us this week is called Let Them Not Say By Jane Hirschfield. Let them not say We did not see it. We saw, let them not say, we did not hear it. We heard. Let them not say they did not taste it. We ate, we trembled. Let them not say it was not spoken. Not written. We spoke, we witnessed with voices and hands. Let them not say they did nothing. We did not enough. Let them say as they must say something, a kerosene beauty. It burned. Let them say, we warmed ourselves by it. Read by its light praised and it burned. May you care deeply for yourself this week and for your beloveds in our world, as we travel this immense threshold into the mystery, we have no idea will manifest, but there is a different fire that we can. Warm ourselves by and be guided by. Thank you as always for your ongoing support of my podcasts.
