Hello to all. Welcome to Divas That Care Network. I am Joyce Benning, and I will be your host for this invigorating, robust lifestyle show. I would like to thank each one of our listeners that have tuned in live and the ones that will be listening to the recording on the podcast. I am just so very grateful for each and every one of you. And you are all in for a very special show today as I have with me a diva that has her story in the upcoming book from Divas That Care that will be released in the next couple weeks. And it is Our Mother's Thank you so

SPEAKER_01

much for having me on the call. I'm a woman who wears many hats, as many women do, really. I'm a wife. I'm an entrepreneur. I'm a friend. I'm a sister. And first and always, I'm a daughter and a mother of three adult children. Ah. Oh, how beautiful,

SPEAKER_02

Rose. You do wear many hats in this life. You do all kinds of things, and that is awesome. I love

SPEAKER_01

it. Yeah, I've been an entrepreneur for most of my adult life, and I'm really passionate about helping people, especially women, deal with the challenges of divorce. And I see the impact that it has, which is one of the reasons I wanted to be included in my story in the book.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that is great. That is awesome. So does that kind of go with what inspired you to want to submit a story into our daughter's book? Or was there a light moment that you thought, this is my inspiration that I want to write this story in the book?

SPEAKER_01

Well, it was a couple of different things, to be honest, Joyce. I never really thought my story was that important. And I think a lot of people feel that way. They're like, oh, well, it happened to me. And, you know, it doesn't necessarily happen to somebody else. Or, you know, just want to kind of bury it. Because often our stories come with a lot of emotion. And that was definitely one thing. thing that for me but in the work that I do I realize that we need to bring one of the things I try to do is bring awareness to the subtle and really hard to recognize impact of what neglect what dysfunctional relationships are between mothers and daughters and especially because it has such a ripple effect that we don't even often see or realize and in my work it really saddens me when I see people struggling with not having the support or the skill set to get through really difficult times, that they can come through strong and independent because You know, I know it doesn't, you know, they feel at the time when everybody's, we all go through so many things. And at the time when we're going through, whether it be like an illness, an injury, even like a divorce or job loss, maybe even the death of a family or a friend, it's hard to see beyond our hurt or beyond our grief, right? And thinking, you know, how are we going to get through this? But we have to learn how to do that instead of just coping through it because if we don't learn to work through those emotions, we are letting other people down. Our interactions and how we're dealing with life, we're either modeling, we have little eyes on us. Or we, you know, we're affecting our neighbors, our family, our friends, and the whole world. And so ignoring those tough conversations or burying our heads in the sand, either with alcohol or other devices, et cetera, it only really serves to undermine everyone's self-worth and self-esteem along the way. And people start feeling unlovable.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Oh, wow. Oh, that was so beautifully put because... We are all so worthy of so much of what we came into this world for rather than to, like you said, bury our heads in the sand and just get through it rather than work through it and come out a better person on the other side. And oh, what a... What an inspiration you are. Oh, my goodness. I'm wanting to read your story already just by hearing that. That is incredible, Rose. I can tell you're talking from your heart, and you're letting it show what you feel you want to help other women with in this world, and that is beautiful. What a beautiful gift you are giving out there. Thank you. I appreciate that. You are so welcome. Well, what you have already shared, I'm going to ask if there is a golden nugget yet that you would like to share from your story that will really you've inspired our listeners already so much to want to read the book and read your story. What is possibly another little golden nugget that you would give out to our listeners that would spark their interest even more yet?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I share in my story a four-decade family secret and how it came out and how it rocked my world when I first learned it, but now how it actually transformed, and now I see that as a gift. And I honestly wouldn't change a thing about my life, and that's actually the title of my story, is I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't change a thing. Our paths don't define who we are, but they do define and have a huge impact on how we deal with our lives, how we deal with challenges, how we deal with our careers, our relationships, our parenting. And that's really the point I want to get across and why I shared my story.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wow. Oh, that was incredible. Oh, that is definitely a golden nugget. And, oh, my word, a four-decade family secret. Wow. That will want listeners to go, I need to find out what that secret is. And it may be even something that they can relate to that is a secret that has been hiding in their family for all these years. And then how you took it and used it as a gift to even better yourself and help better others. Rose, this has just been incredible. I'm like, I can hardly wait until this book is totally released and I can read your story in there because I know it's going to be a very heart-touching story because I can feel it by the way you're talking about it. So thank you so very much, Rose.

SPEAKER_01

I'm also excited to read all the other stories as well. I think it's such an incredible piece of work to share and for people to have different perspectives and see how everybody develops in different ways. So I'm excited too.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yes. Yes, how true that is because each individual one is going to be a different story to share and different readers can relate to the different stories in the book and feel that they're not alone in their struggles that they're going through in their life. So thank you so much, Rose, and I wish you a completely magical day for the rest of your day.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. Thank you very much for having me on. It's been a joy and a pleasure.

SPEAKER_02

Well, thank you. It's been a joy and a pleasure to have you as a guest on Robust Lifestyle. And we will chat again. I would love to have you back on after the book is released and just have you, if you would like to share some more about the work you are doing on helping women and how everything is coming together like that for you. I would love to have you share with our listeners some more, Rose.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that would be a wonderful opportunity.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. Okay. I will be in contact with you. Thank you so much again. All right. I want to thank all of our listeners for listening to this amazing show with another incredible diva, Rose Simard. Thank you. And after hearing Rose talk about the golden nuggets and her inspiration to write her story, I know this is a book we are all going to want to have in our hands and read very soon, as soon as it is released. And Mother's Day is coming up, too, in a couple weeks. So the book is just coming out at the right time, right in May, when we're all thinking about relationships with mothers and daughters. So please. Be sure and check it out on Amazon, Kobo, and Absolute Publishing to get the pre-launch sale going. So thank you all and have a magical day and be kind to all. And remember one of the words that rose left, some of the words rose left with us are our past does not define who we are today. So give your animals a great big extra hug and share all your love with them until we connect again on Robust Lifestyles. Stay

SPEAKER_00

strong and healthy.
