SPEAKER_01

Hello to all. Welcome to Diva's the Care Network. I am Joyce Benning and I will be your host for this invigorating robust lifestyle show. I would like to thank each one of our listeners that have tuned in live and the ones that will be listening to the recording on the podcast. I am just so very grateful for each and every one of you. And you are in for a very, very special show today, as I have with me a diva that is in our new our mother's, our daughter's book with Divasek Care that is soon to be released. And her name is Gia Raquel. Gia, could you please introduce yourself to our listeners today?

SPEAKER_02

Nothing would give me greater pleasure, Joyce. My name is Gia Raquel Esposito, owner of Airs Above Yoga LLC. And I am a yoga practitioner for over a decade now. And I'm also an equestrian and a lover of animals, dogs, and all things healing.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I absolutely love it. Oh, wow. And a lover of all the animals. Oh, you and I are connected immediately. When I hear that, I'm like, our hearts are connected because that's exactly where my heart is. I always say animals are not in my life, they are my life. And it is so true. Oh, I just love that. Well, Gia, what inspired you to submit a story, our mother's, our daughter's book with Diva's Sec Care?

SPEAKER_02

So I'm so grateful and honored, just if I may preface, to be on the show with you right now and also to have been included in this amazing project. Um I had been lucky enough to submit an article um prior to this with regard to horses um and kind of what to do, I called it after the fall, uh what to do, you know, when things don't go your way. And so when this next opportunity came through, um, and it was about mothers, and to be completely honest with you, because this is how the synchronicity of the universe worked, um, it was actually because of my mother's passing that I found yoga. So it was trying to deal with the trauma and the loss um that occurred in that time frame, and that was honestly, I would say, what saved me, uh, because it could have gone in a very different direction. So when this opportunity, it was around Mother's Day of last year to to submit this story came to me, it felt like it was a gift from the universe. Um, and two of my very close friends, two of my best friends, helped me and inspired me and worked with me on it, all of us in tears. Um, because of course, as you put it together, and they helped me edit it, and I just think that the most important thing in any trauma is the lesson, is the healing, is not not what you do while you're in it, but how you how you evolve from it in whatever capacity, but trying to recognize the gift and the hurt, if that makes sense.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. Oh, oh, that totally makes sense. Oh wow, there were so many points there that this just came as you felt a gift from the universe. And I always say the universe knows they bring things into our lives, they bring people, they bring animals, they bring opportunities, the universe does into our lives when we need it the most and what we are needing, when we just open our hearts and listen to what the universe is bringing into us to be able to help us. So I love that a gift from the universe, and being a gift and a lesson through the trauma, rather than just totally like some people have a tendency to do, and it is hard when you lose a loved one, be it an animal or a human, you want to kind of go inside and just just kind of close away. But when you can look into it and find the lesson through it and the gift that's given to you. I talked with another gal on my show and we talked about during the sorrow, you can also feel the happiness of the new gifts that you are now receiving through the trauma that you have been through. So I love that how you said learning a lesson in the trauma and also a gift. That is that is really beautiful that you have taken that and found that and this is what you are doing with it to share with the w universe. That that is absolutely beautiful. Yeah, I love it. Thank you. Well, would you please just give a little a golden nugget from your story to get the curiosity of our listeners going where they are saying, Oh my goodness, I I really have to get that book because I really want to read more of what her story is about and what all the other authors have put together in this book. What is a golden nugget that you would share that would kind of spark interest in our listeners today?

SPEAKER_02

So, as I mentioned, it was a very um difficult thing to write because I had to be very honest, not only with myself, um, but about my mother, and you know, I think a lot of people what someone else would feel comfortable with them sharing. And when that someone isn't there to be asked um or consulted with, um, you know, you have to rely on your intuition, you have to rely on in my mind what would be there to support other people and why, as you ask me, you're doing this in the first place, what inspired you? And I think the most important thing about this for me was was how my mother handled for protection of me uh regarding her diagnosis. And at a very transformative age in my life, graduating high school and and attempting to go to college, it was a very um, you know, it's a very challenging time, I think, for anyone as blessed as I was to have those opportunities, right? Um because of that, one of the main things that I wanted to get across to people, because cancer is such a prevalent thing in our world, as horrible as it is, it touches probably almost every life in one way or the other. Um and whether I mean God save me, I hope she doesn't I hope she doesn't regret that I did this, but I shared some of the mistakes that I thought that she made. Many of the mistakes that I've made, that I made throughout the years uh from her diagnosis to her passing in a hope that our story might be able to help other people who especially mothers and daughters, right? Other people to just be honest and really be there and be true to who you are and the sadness and the loss that you're going through as you're going through it. So pardon me if I get a little choked up, but I think that we made if I can spare other daughters and other mothers from creating blocks in their relationships while they still have each other, I think that is why I wrote this and whether you want to call it a nugget or not, it's it's what I hope I've given with this story.

SPEAKER_01

Oh that that was so beautiful. It just I I mean I got I got the chills as you were saying it because my mother has passed also, and it is yes, when you can share basically what I'm hearing you say, you're sharing the mistakes right along with the triumphs too. And you you included some of the challenges that happened through and to help other people to see maybe not make that mistake or look at it in a different perspective than how maybe you what you went through with it. So oh yes, that was that was very beautiful. What what a beautiful golden nugget to share to entice people to think further read your story. 'Cause oh wow. That's that's absolutely incredible because it sounds to me like you and your mother were very, very close.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I I am. I was. I am an only child, um, an only grandchild on one side of my on her side of my family as well. So she was my world, is my world in her own way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, definitely. Well when you said that that you said she you hoped she was okay, the thought just came through to me, you hoped she was okay with what you were sharing on the mistakes. It was her angel helping you to share those mistakes. That's what came through to me when I w heard you say that, and I kind of got the chills. It was like, okay, you you were supposed to share that is how I feel, because it was it was through you that she wanted the universe to know about these kind of things too. So you were you were both thinking together and she was right there helping you write this story is how I feel too.

SPEAKER_02

Well, thank you for sharing that. I'm trying not to cry, and I will say you're not helping, but I'm sorry. No, it's okay. It's okay. She did give me my strength, I will say that. So I I will I will breathe through it. I will breathe through it. I am a yoga teacher. We all it's all about the breath, right?

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh. It's all about the breath. Just take one more deep breath.

unknown

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Well, on to another question I have for you. I have enjoyed so much. You have touched my heart with what you have shared. And I'm about to get choked up through this too, so just breathe.

SPEAKER_02

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_01

I would really like to ask you if you would please return to my robust lifestyle show where we can just do an interview and just share with our listeners about what you do through yoga and different experiences you have had. And I would just I I just feel connected to you from this short conversation that we've had that the universe brought us together. And I had this feeling earlier in the day when I saw your picture with your horse, I was like, okay, we're connected already. So I would really love to have you back on my robust lifestyle show.

SPEAKER_02

Well, Joyce, I couldn't think of anything more supporting. Um, and I couldn't agree more that I feel like there's a connection already, and I'm sorry that both of us have come to tears on this call. Um But I truly believe that if if things are meant to be in the universe, bestows gifts with you, they point you in the right direction. Um and I can't think of a better direction than horses, yoga, horses' ability to heal, yoga's ability to heal. Um, and I would be touched and honored to be a part of your show in any capacity.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, oh, I am oh thank you so much. That means so much to me, and I am so excited to have you back. We will definitely be connecting in the very, very near future. And uh as to our listeners, you have heard, she is going to be back on Robust Lifestyle Show to share more. So, Gaia, uh, is there any final nugget, any final words you would like to say as we close out this this show today?

SPEAKER_02

So the only thought that I would like to share, because uh if I have the time to, and I will be as brief as I can, is that I just celebrated a rather large birthday. It was my 40th. Um and as I mentioned, I had a bit of a a delay in some of my my ch you'll you'll read about it when you read the book, but um I had some I was rebellious youth, let's put it that way. Um and so I had the opportunity to renew my face on my fortieth birthday, which was uh Holy Saturday, and I actually took my mother's name, Rose, as my confirmation name. So I feel as though the universe bestows blessings again just before this book comes out on Mother's Day, and just before this interview came to pass, and I just think that sometimes things feel right and are beautiful, and again, it's a gift through the lost.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, how beautiful. What a beautiful nugget. Oh, that that was just incredible. Oh, and happy late birthday to you. Very happy late birthday.

SPEAKER_02

I appreciate it. It was it was a big one, but it was a beautiful celebration, and I couldn't have asked for anything more lovely.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, oh, that is just beautiful. That is so special. Oh, well, thank you so much for being on my show, and you will definitely be back on, and I am so excited to read your story along with all the others in our mothers our daughters book. And thank you again, and you have an absolutely magical day.
