Breaking The Burnout Cycle
Are you a female entrepreneur who is currently spinning your wheels, doing all the right things, yet continuing to find yourself hitting an invisible wall that is keeping you from the success, fulfillment, freedom, & happiness you want?
You’ve read the books. Taken the courses. Implemented the strategies. You know the “how to”...but somehow they either don’t work for you when you apply them OR you can’t get yourself to stay consistent with them to get them to work for you.
And because of that there is a part of you that wonders deep down
“Why is this working for everyone else but me?”
“Maybe I’m doing something wrong? What am I missing?”
“Am I not doing enough?”
…or worse - “Is something wrong with me?”
And because you’ve only learned one way to achieve success, you now find yourself believing that the only way to achieve your goals is to work even harder. To push and push and push, like nothing else matters, not your health, not your family, not your life.
Here’s the truth: You’re not broken. You’re just burnt out from doing success the way you were taught — the hustle-harder, push-through, ignore-your-needs kind of way.

If you are ready to hit your goals faster in 2026 without the hustle, without the grind, then this episode's for you because I am revealing the number one practice that has helped my clients be able to achieve success without burnout. That's all coming up on today's episode. So stay tuned. Hi, I'm Dr. Rihanna Mulkay, and after burning out not just once, but twice, I've uncovered that burnout becomes a never-ending loop unless you uncover the subconscious beliefs at the root of it all. Each week, I'm bringing you brain-based tools and strategies that will help you to identify and rewire subconscious blocks, keeping you from the success, happiness, and freedom that you really want. This is Breaking the Burnout Cycle Podcast. Hey, hey, everyone. Welcome into another episode of Breaking the Burnout Cycle Podcast. I am so glad that you are joining me here today. I cannot believe we are already in mid-December and that we are getting ready to enter into a new year. And if you are like many of the clients that I serve, including myself, then chances are this time of year can sometimes feel, not always, but can sometimes feel very exciting. It's like we are starting a new slate. We are gonna hit the ground running. We have all of these big visions, big dreams, not only for our businesses, but also for our personal lives. And um, if this is you, I first want to say like that is amazing, and this is why I love working with high achievers, women who are just visionaries, they see areas that we can always improve on, and areas that like no one else would have the courage to dream of, but that's not you, and at the same time, this can be the very um trait, the very characteristic that can get us into trouble, and when I mean trouble, I mean in the sense of we are always looking forward, always looking at the things that we need to do in order to move the needle forward, in order to hit our goals, and it's because we are so ambitious. The problem with this though is that if we are not taking the time to reflect, to look back at all of the year and the things we said yes to, the things we said no to, um, the way that we operated in our businesses or in our jobs, then we actually miss the opportunity to see what is working for me and what is not working for me, what is serving me and what is no longer serving me. Not only that, but we miss the opportunity to check in with ourselves and really ask ourselves: is this what I even want? Am I headed in the right direction of what I feel is most aligned for me, that is my calling, that is the vision, or have I changed, right? Because hopefully, as you are going on the journey, you are growing along the way. And so sometimes this is why I tell all of my clients to write your goals, to write your vision in pencil, because on this journey, you are evolving, you are constantly evolving, you are letting go of what no longer serves you and um stepping into who you are becoming, and that is like the epitome of growth, that is the epitome of the journey towards success and towards um us coming home to ourselves essentially, but we cannot effectively do that if we actually don't take the time to look at these things, to look at the way that 2025 unfolded for you. Because how would you ever know if the things you're saying yes to, the things that you are doing is serving you or not, if you never took the time to look at it? The analogy I give to all of my clients is it would be analogous to essentially you trying to accelerate a car while your foot could potentially still be on the brakes. If you never take the time to actually look at it, then you would never know am I actually doing the things that are serving me or not? Am I focusing on the things that are important in moving the needle forward, or am I finding productive ways to avoid those things? And so these are the self-sabotaging behaviors that like we would never know if we were self-sabotaging our own success, if we never take the time to look at, you know, how we operated in this past year, or even in the past month, or even in the past week. And so this is why reflection is such a powerful tool that will help you to first off stop doing the things that aren't serving you, but also move the needle forward faster, right? And so what I've done as a way to help you, if you are ready to jump into 2026 with more clarity, with more groundedness, with more knowing of what are the things that I am on the lookout for, of the patterns that aren't serving me, but also of the things that I want to genuinely focus on and improve upon because I know that that is going to help accelerate my success. Then I what I've actually done is I've created a free PDF. It is the eight questions that I think are vital and that I actually push every single one of my clients to spend at least an hour or you know, more, however long it takes you on to really slow down in order to speed up. And so I have created that PDF, and the link is going to be down below in the show notes, and it's just eight simple questions that you can ask yourself. And this is not about a right or wrong answer. This is not about judgment, this is not about um shaming yourself and shaming yourself about not taking action or not hitting the goals or whatever it is that comes up for you as you go through this process. This entire process is just about checking in with yourself, checking in with the way things unfolded for you and being honest with yourself about where do I want to go and what is getting in the way, what is serving me, what is no longer serving me. Because the more uh honest and real that you are with yourself, the more clarity you will have in 2026. And so if emotions come up for you as you go through these questions, then take note of those. Because oftentimes when those emotions are coming up for you, that is a great place to look about um like to look under the rocks, to look at in terms of hmm, why am I feeling this way around this piece of the reflection, right? And that's gonna show you a lot about where you actually might need to focus in 2026. Okay, so the link is down below in the show notes. Grab that and take whatever time it takes you to reflect on this past year, and I will see you next week on another episode. Bye for now.
