And speaking of up to no good, we have lots of cool stuff going on because we are here for one solid hour of magic making mischief. Woo! And we got into lots of mischief. Um, my voice is kind of sketchy tonight, so we'll be in and out. Um mischief. Mommy was up to tons and tons of mischief, and we will be talking about that throughout the hour. We have a special surprise that is not here yet. We will get to that in just a few minutes. But mommy, talk about the mischief you got into this weekend.

Yes, I got to go to a new con to me called Retropalooza in Pasadena, Texas, and uh had an absolute blast. Uh, this is actually the biggest haul we ever got from a con. So I've got a load of stuff to show you guys, including this awesome guy over here, my little walker, Imperial Walker beside me. But I was not there alone. I had one of our friends helping us, which is not here right now, but uh she was with me at Retropalooza, and uh y'all might remember her. We had her as a guest, so uh she was awesome. She had her Star Trek uniform and her Hufflepuff the two days we were there, which was fun, but uh I've got a lot of awesome stuff to show you guys though. So this was my husband's find. And uh there was a lot of retro stuff, and there was a lot of gaming, retro gaming too, but uh it was a lot of I'm saying a lot, a lot, but it was fun. Um I had an absolute blast. There was many cosplayer friends that we are familiar with, and most of them have been on the podcast actually, including uh PG and Fairy, cosplay till midnight. Um this little guy, I think my husband actually got him for about$20, and he plans to make a coffee table scene out of him. So he stood him up for me for this. Um, and hold on, I'm gonna see if I can reach my stack because I didn't expect him to stand this little walker guy up here.

Okay, when we uh that was the discussion we were having with my son because he's like, No, it's called an ATAT. And I'm like, okay, honestly, though, I read the word the way it was written as a kid. Okay, you can't blame me for reading it. Uh, we had like the best luck this weekend, though. Um, Juju actually won the raffle, and in that was the posters that the guests all autographed, including myself. This was the first time they've I've been asked to autograph a poster, as I guess, and this was from the whole entire convention. Uh, it's got the autographs from the official guests, which were from Resident Evil. And we got a chance to talk to them, they were awesome. Um, one was from Australia, and uh he was just full of all kinds of great stories because he's been traveling Texas and doing all the all the tourist stuff. So she was the last one to win the raffle, too. And they called her name and we're talking, so we almost missed it. But yeah, that is uh that is gonna go up at my table next time I'm set up somewhere too, so I can show it off.

Ah, real quick before we do anything else. I've got a brag on this one. There's my pass. I was looking for that. And uh my uh my daughter entered the cosplay contest this year in an original character that she did and was the first place winner. Is now an award-winning cosplayer! I'm so proud of her, and it's funny because her entire face was covered with the headpiece she made, so nobody knew who she was.

I have okay, I have all four of us, and uh my daughter could not wait. They gave a uh a cash prize for the winners for the cosplay contest, by the way. So I would highly recommend entering, even though it wasn't like a huge amount, it was really good craftsmanship, and that was a tough competition. I wouldn't have wanted to judge it, I'll be honest. But uh yeah, she couldn't wait to spend it though. So she already got her prize, which um here I'll go ahead and show what she spent her money on because this is pretty cool. Like I said, they had a lot of uh game stuff. Well, she got a new what was the original switch, yeah. It's got the uh there it is Animal Crossing. Yeah, and it's not the game, it's just the decorations, but it was really cute.

Geek Cred Trivia came up and he had a few things for me since we he missed the uh pop culture uh cosplay group cosplay of Monster High. He had these for me, and uh the little dracular is my favorite. Isn't she curious? So he said next time we have a group cosplay for it. Like uh, I've now got these to set up so and of course the blitz team was there, and they are awesome. We love the blitz team. And there we go. The blitz team. There's their pen.

And they had they have they always have fun stuff, they always do, and they have so many great prizes. Uh, they're doing a game-a-thon kind of thing that if you look up the blitz team stuff, you can uh join them for that. And it's a fundraiser. All their all their pro all their money goes to the lupus foundation of America, which helps children, and I think that's just a wonderful charity. Uh, my daughter played a game. She uh invited her to come play it since she won the cosplay contest, and she got this little Tamodachi, which isn't in here, but it is. She gave me the box, and it's one of the and it's just like the OG ones, you know. She sits there, she has to feed it and take care of it. It sleeps. And I got one of their boxes. They have these mystery boxes that you can get all these goodies in, and it came with uh the Alchemist, uh, full metal alchemist. Very cute, so cute, and then it had a couple other little things, and I got the mystery one because you could have picked certain animes, and I don't know this one, but I thought that was a good one. That looks like the guy from this is um it says windbreaker, so I don't know that one.

He stole my my keychains. This came in there too, and we didn't know what it was, so they told us they said, Well, if you can figure out what it is, come back and tell us. So we actually had to do a little receipt research, and it's from the kingdom, which we haven't. But I I think the uh full metal alchemist part of that was my favorite piece to that. So I thought I had another pen from them, but I might oh no, there it is. I do. I have one more pen I got from them, and this one actually uh cute! It looks like a game boy. I can't quite focus on it. Oh, never mind, not gonna do that. Can't do that.

My mom loves purple, so it was just I couldn't pass it up. Uh, these were part of ones that actually Juju got a whole little thing. So I'm gonna come back to these. Uh, if you know NerdCon, then you know um James, please. And uh, this was his booth. I got we got all kinds of t-shirts, vintage t-shirts. Uh, I got Edward Scissor hands.

So these are our Japanese snack boxes, and you can run into them at uh conventions around the area. I've seen that camo kawaii as well, and they're$20, and you've got 20 different snacks in here. And uh, we tried a few of them, but my favorite moment I have caught on camera, I haven't shared it yet, was these little jellies. Yeah, don't just get it, okay. They were uh they were infamous, let's say, with our table of uh everybody.

It was like well, it's fun to watch, but not fun to experience, I'm sure.

Yep, yep. So this was my big one that my son got, and uh yeah. When I said my kids spent uh their stuff, they spent their stuff. So uh this was actually a pretty good deal considering though, because it fully works, he's got it functioning, so nothing, you know, they they haven't had an everything was fully functional that they got from there, and then they gave him the controller too, so to go with it. Nice, awesome, yeah. And uh that was uh actually, that was actually from uh one of their gamer guests, their YouTube gamer guests, and that is G Grayson the third, and he was pretty awesome, actually. Uh I we also got to meet um okay, I guess they right, Nintendrew. I think it's so witty, but my brain was. Nintendrew, yeah, yeah, yeah. So we get to meet both of them. Um and uh then they after that they went hunting for games for his play system, and they got deals good. They're gaming systems all over the place, yes. They were everywhere, and they had to learn that okay, you have to get them specifically for the PS4 because it won't play otherwise. So they ended up like some classics. We've got God of War, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Creed Valhalla. My cousins play those, Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Unity. There's a theme going on here. A little bit.

And then uh Sims 4, and then Little Big Planet 3, which is actually such a cute game. That's a door. Yep. So other than the stuff that uh Juju actually got these things for me. So I'll hold on to these and show them off when she goes through. Her uh her booths, but that is our entire haul, and it is huge. And I do realize that that is a lot, but uh yeah, I think my kids are now broke. They have spent their months, months, and months worth of uh savings. So, but they're happy because they have games to play, so it's cool.

It was the one where Chloe got this camera for$15. And it was awesome because they gave her the leather case for free. Oh, nice! I have that. They told her as long as they brought her mommy right away, they would give her the case for free. Nice.

It was only 60 bucks. But um, you get this, you get um a little bag to come with it, and you get a free t-shirt right here. The this is the this year's retropalooza t-shirt. Cute! Really cool thing, real quick before I go on about that. The VIP pass. Abby is so awesome because she knew I was helping Mombi and that she loved that I was helping Mombi, and she found out I bought a VIP pass.

I don't know if you can see it because it's in let me see if I can take it out of the plastic so it won't be glary. I think her art unicorns and fairies. I totally love them. If it's not Trek, it's unicorn and fairies and Hufflepuff and stuff. Hey, that rhyme. Cute, but also she let me spin a wheel thingy before I even got the art, and I won this, it was really cute. It's a um pack of matte pencils. The top is also an eraser, uh sharpener. That is so neat. I gave it to Chloe because she's our little artist at the house. And then, of course, the NerdCon guy was so sweet. We were like literally right behind him, the Mom Virella was right behind him. So every five minutes he kept turning around, giving me a Star Trek toy. He's like, Check this out, look what I say for you. I was like, Oh my god, you're so awesome! And then he goes, Check this out, look what I say for you. What I was like, James, you're so awesome! So, like when he got to this really, really freaking cool, very, very vintage Sulu, only five dollars. James, it was a steal, so I stole it for five dollars.

I think I actually got this from Eastern Rim, but I remember seeing this doll at James's booth and thinking, I had that when I was a little girl because I too am a Puerto Rican Barbie. I remember having this doll growing up, and the steal of a price was crazy. And it looked in perfect condition. Oh my god, I had this Barbie. In case you didn't know, I'm also Puerto Rican, so there's that.

Yes, three back-to-back years, and that is where I got my start to uh actual cosplaying and stuff, most of it trick, but on Halloweens and special occasions, I do other stuff like I dressed as Trillian from my birthday. If you don't know who Trillian is, she is a character from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was on my 42nd birthday, it was freaking awesome. Mombi brought me some embroidered towels that say don't panic.

So this was the end result and the winning that's a number one head, literally. And uh she actually drew this out on the computer before she did it and just totally brought it to life. The cotton's painted uh for the mouth. That's actually painted cotton. The nose is actually a fuzzball, but then like she painted the top around the little party hat, and it's a giant cloud head, cloud clown head. And she actually made the base out of cardboard inside, so that is cardboard that she shaped into this and then glued the cotton and shaped it, fluffed it with hairspray so that it's uh yeah. Well, it's everywhere in my house, but it's absolutely amazing.
