This year end of my month-long birthday celebration month. And we have tonight, not one, not two, not three, but four giveaways tonight. So before we get there though, we had one actual Comic-Con that we had this this month. We had Kimo Kauai. Um, so during Kimo Kauai, I do believe that we had a wonderful Japanese fashion show, and I believe one section of it was directed by yours truly down there, Ms. Yukita Cosplay, and it was Yukita Play, to tell us about it.

Oh my good golly goodness, y'all. I finally got blessed with the opportunity to lead a category. Um, as I've been doing uh the fashion show since the fashion show started, which was about a year after Kimokawai first initiated. So it was the fourth fashion show we've ever done, and I got blessed with the opportunity to be the group leader for a category, and the category that I got was Cyberpunk. And I also got to have my BFFL over here, my little Slytherin's my little Slytherin Slayer, Slayer, Little Glitter. I was like, wait a minute, wait a minute. So boy bing, mommy was in it, and what I have been told by several people is we ate that down. There you go.

Yep, she had this great idea because we were the uh futuristic tech wear kind of category thing, and uh she's like, what if we did like Tron meets cyberpunk and we all kind of did our own style with it, but like we lit up our whole outfits, and uh then uh how did y'all come up with the idea for the the uh weapon thing?

So because in Tron they have the four different colors and they all have their own weapons, but because a more futuristic weapon than like say a lightsaber or like a sword of some blade, we were like, okay, one of our uh models thought of the idea of making chakras, and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. And I had all of us, that's me. I called myself the Yellow Ranger because I was the one in yellow. But so yeah, and then I have Mombi in the white or silver because again, going off the colors from Tron, had two other models in blue and red, so we represented all the Tron colors. We opened ourselves up with cool little lights on our outfits that we all sewed on, and I had us all doing our own special dance because we do all represent a different category of Tron. And we came together and made magic. And uh I fun fact if you were there, um you saw a nice little live blooper that apparently I went too hard with my chakras when I was in with my modeling stuff, and I made the battery explode, it clicked and it just went and whipped off, and everybody's like, it's like, whoa, nice effects, man.

Oh, that was such a blooper. I didn't even know it had happened.

It was the best part is because I had those little laser glasses on, I couldn't see what was happening. I couldn't see anything, so I took that as my like if I can't see them, they can't see me.

The girls did fantastic, so did the guy, so that was fantastic. Um, we got nothing but rave reviews, like we we did that, we did that, we did really good, and I'm honestly so proud of all the models' hard work and mine, but because I was also like everything we did, they did great.

Yeah, there were several different eras, so it was really cool. Um, but no, you guys did awesome on yours. Uh it was really cool. I was fangirling.

It's the Japanese fashion show, really, is kind of the highlight of Kima Kauai in a lot of ways because like there's so many categories now, and so many people who uh come in and do the modeling, it's just an amazing show. I kind of miss watching it though. It was really awesome being in it the last couple years because it's stretching my knowledge of Japanese fashion as well as like putting me in outfits that I wouldn't have necessarily chosen for myself. But I'm like, okay, that was fun, and you know, it's like that was a lot of fun. I really like that. But uh yeah, if y'all haven't seen Kimokoi's Japanese fashion show, I think it was the first anime con to have a Japanese fashion show.

And no, but we are trend setting because other ones I've seen now are starting to do that, so there's that. Also, to add to uh the comfortability of when I was starting off the entire thing and getting everybody ready for what I was expecting for the show, like giving them my feedback for like my vision, I told them, I want you to pick out an outfit that will make you feel comfortable because if you are not comfortable on stage, it will show and it'll just it'll wreck the entire thing. So I made sure that with every outfit that I uh helped them curate, um that they felt comfortable in it. So that meant we took away a piece or added a piece or like switched out from like pants to a skirt or whatnot.

Because I just want y'all to be comfortable on that stage because you're gonna perform at your best when you are confident and comfortable in what you're doing.

Definitely, yeah, and actually that's funny because that was something that somebody told me this that is the most comfortable I've ever seen you on stage. That that performance was like she said confident. Oh, confident. Well, no, she said both, though. I think was it both? She said confident. That was because the first because when we did the rehearsal, I know that uh maybe it was the other one I'm thinking of, and she she was like, Yeah, you seem a little uncomfortable, and so I altered a few things with it. And uh in the end, though, like, yeah, I I think the whole category was awesome, the whole fashion show just gets better every year, so it is definitely a must see. Absolutely.

But uh in the in the stick with the stickers, they actually gave me a little note, and in it they drew like the little, a little a little picture, a little, a little caricature of herself. And I thought that was the sweetest thing whenever I opened it. I didn't realize the note was in there because it was tucked between the stickers, and like I stuck it in my bag after I got it, and I got home and I opened it. I was like, oh, that's really sweet.

These are real mushrooms, and like she knows everything about these mushrooms too. So, like, they're so cool.
