We just decided that we want to make a bigger investment in you guys and try to bring you more life-giving content than we ever have , so we would love to hear from you . It has been our tradition for the last 24 years for me and Tabitha , as we come into the end of the year , that we would give to God something that is special , and I know that there are a lot of you all who are part of our online family , doing life with Ken and Tabitha , that you are extremely generous people and I want you to know this that whatever you give , if you decide to give , will enable us to reach more people and change more lives on next year than we have on this year . All we ask our church to do is to pray and just say God , what would you have me give ? And , if you don't mind , if you can do that right now , that would be great . Just say , lord , what would you have me to give ? And we trust that whatever he tells you to do , whatever he speaks to you to do , that you will be obedient , because we believe obedience is better than sacrifice .
Speaker 0You know , I taught a message just a little while ago and you can check it out on the Alive Church YouTube channel and it's called this my motive is love , but I am standing in faith . My motive is love , but I'm standing in faith . This is what I've learned over the last couple of decades that when we give to God , we give because we're motivated by love , meaning that I give to God because he gave his life on the cross for me . I don't give to get . That's the wrong motive . I give to give . I give because I love God , I love the things of God , I love the purposes of God , I love how he gave his life . So it is my pleasure . Giving is not what I have to do , giving is what I get to do . But at the same time that I give in love , it is also biblical and also right for me to stand in faith .
Speaker 0You say stand in faith for what ? For what he promised us would happen . And the Bible has specific promises and all of the promises are yes and amen . Here's the promise of God that he will multiply the seed that you sow , that when you give , it shall be given back to you , good measure , pressed down , shaken together and running over . That if you give bountifully , you shall receive bountifully . So you give to God because you love him , but he gives back to you and multiplies it back to you because he loves you . I want you to be blessed , to be a blessing this year . Keep on giving , keep on serving , keep on loving Jesus and we'll see you in the new year . Merry Christmas and happy new year .
