Opening Blessing And Psalm 34

SPEAKER_00

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We come to you with Calvary greetings and the living word of God. In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We pray for his abundant blessings, grace, and power for all our listeners in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. In Psalm 34, verse 1. Psalm 34, verse 1, the Bible says, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. This is the psalmist declaration. Whatever may be the circumstance, it is my prayers that nothing will make praising God become a body to us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Our loving Father and our God, we worship you. You are worthy of our praise and thanksgiving all the time. How many of your blessings can we count? They are too numerous for our enumeration. When dark moments come, it's only for a moment. Father, in your word today, please strengthen our hearts that we will always accord you your deserved praise and thanksgiving posture in all situations. This is how we can rediscover the fresh dimension of your goodness daily. Let it be so, Lord. For we are prayed in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. The topic of our ministration is praising God always. Praising God always. We read verses 16 to 18. 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verses 16 to 18. Rejoice always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Brethren, I'd like to first ask ourselves the simple question from the lead text that we read. Do we want to do the will of God? I ask again, do we want to do the will of God? Well, doing his will does not happen by accident. It happens by heart and purposeful determination. If our answer to this question is in the affirmative, then we will flow together perfectly in this study. I pray that God will strengthen us all to do his will always. Amen. Our adversary, Satan's preoccupation, is to encourage us not to do the will of God. This is because you had failed in doing the will of God. It is my prayers that Satan will fail woefully in this attempt in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. The scripture encourages us to praise God during joyful and sorrowful circumstances. In Psalm 34, verse 1, the Psalmist says, I will bless the Lord at all times. His prayer shall continually be in my mouth. This declaration is not because he had never tasted sorrow or hardship before. No. Yet his summary of it all is that praising God is sacrosanct in every situation. Incidentally, if anyone decides not to praise God, he doesn't diminish who God is. But when we praise him all the time, blessings abound around us in abundance. In 2 Corinthians chapter 9, verse 8, 2 Corinthians chapter 9, verse 8, Apostle Paul says, And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having us sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abandon in every good work. This is too sweet a promise of God to ignore. And we all know God is not a liar, He will do whatever He says. I pray that by reason of this great promise, lack and insufficiency become abomination to you and I from today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. The Bible in Psalm 42, verse 5 did not even hide the situation of being in despair. It says, Where are you cast down over my soul? Where are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise him, my salvation. This encourages us that in our moment of despair we should continue to trust and serve God in praise. The Methodist hymn book, in one of the great hymns, says, faith can sing in sorrow. Wow. This is the faith that we should all covet. It's a healing faith. God is happier when in despair we still choose to praise him. That great man, Job, despite all his travels, wrote in Job chapter 19, verse 25. Job 19, verse 25 that for I know that my redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. He eventually recovered all and made God proud. When trouble comes, I pray that the faith that stands and sings to the glory of God will be endowed with all of us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Finally, brethren, I am glad to confirm to you that praising God is also a command. It's not what we have options to do or not to do. No, it is the best way to grow our joy in a joyous mood and best way out when we are in trouble. Paul and Silas learned this, and they were amazed what God did. In Acts chapter 16, verses 25 and 26. Acts 16, verses 25 and 26, the Bible gave a strange account that about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. And the prisoners were listening to them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake. So that the foundation of the prisons was shaken, and immediately all the doors were open, and everyone's bones were on fasting. These men were put in the inner prison, yet they were praising God. Some people in the comfort of their homes have stopped praising God because of the high price of rice. I pray that in that prison of sickness, childlessness, death, sorrow of whatever form, lack, and losses, today the door of your prison is opened by the supernatural hand of our living God. You are healed from every sickness. You will become fruitful. Your death situation will change to you being able to lend to nations. Your sorrow will change to joy in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Permit me to narrate the unfortunate story of someone who not only refused to praise God, she mocked a praise singer. In 2 Samuel chapter 6, verse 16. 2 Samuel chapter 6, verse 16 writes the story of Mikal, the daughter of King Saul and the first wife of David. She despised him in her heart when she saw him dancing and celebrating enthusiastically as the Ark of the Covenant entered Jerusalem. She viewed David's behavior as undignified and mocked him for it. She was the only barren woman in the Bible that remained childless until her death. What is your position? That you find it difficult to honor God with praise. One of the reasons that God created man is for praising and worshiping him. Do not fail in this call. Praise him, and he will make you fulfill destiny. I pray that where others have succeeded and have great testimonies in praise. Your own testimony will not be that of failure in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Let us pray. Father, we praise and adore your name. There is no one like you, Lord. You remain our God forever and ever. We declare that if nobody will praise you, Lord, our own praise will rise every day. Thank you for giving us the privilege to praise you as a living soul. Father, we pray that we see you in the glory. We will keep our account of praise filled and overflowing. Thank you, Jesus, for accepting us and our praises. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Amen.
