Fear can feel like a fog that won’t lift—tight in the chest, loud in the mind, and relentless in its timing. We took that feeling head-on by returning to the steady promise of Isaiah 41: God is with us, He strengthens us, and He holds our right hand. From the first moments of worship to the final benediction, we trace a path from reaction to decision, from anxiety to anchored courage, with prayer as the turning point.

We unpack why courage isn’t pretending fear doesn’t exist but choosing trust in a God who does. Philippians 4:6 gives us a workable pattern: trade rumination for prayer, complaint for thanksgiving, and paralysis for petitions shaped by God’s character. We move beyond motivational soundbites and talk through faith-based strategies that have survived centuries of trial. Then we zoom in on Elijah at Mount Carmel—not for theatrics, but for a template: rebuild the altar, remove the show, ask for God’s name to be known, and watch what happens when the fire of the Lord answers. That story reframes how we respond when pressure rises and lesser gods stay silent.

Along the way, we offer practical cues for asking, seeking, and knocking with persistence, plus a corporate prayer that confronts fear head-on and replaces shame with testimony. If fear has cost you time, chances, or confidence, we ask God to redeem what was lost and to steady your steps for what’s next. You’ll leave with Scripture to stand on, language to pray, and a clear sense of how God’s presence turns worry into witness.

Opening Praise And Blessing

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We come to you with cavalry greetings and the living word of God. In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We pray for his abundant blessings, grace, and power for all our listeners in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. The most famous Western Church quote about fear that fear is a reaction, courage is a decision. End of quote. Highlighting that while fear is a natural response, bravery is a choice you make despite that feeling, not its absence. Our everlasting Father and our God, we worship you. Thank you for all that you have done for us. Thank you for the salvation of our soul. Thank you for the success of the first series of this podcast. All glories to your name, Lord. Father, we are here in your presence today for fresh blessings. We will not live here empty-handed. Your blessings will be in abundance over us. Thank you, our Lord and Savior. For we have prayed in Jesus' wonderful name. Amen. The topic of our message is fear not. Fear not, part two. Our text is taken from Isaiah chapter 41. We read verses 7 to 13. Isaiah 41, 7 to 13. The craftsman strengthens the ghostsmith. And he who smooths the hammer, him who strikes the anvil, saying, Of the soldier, it is good. And they strengthen it with nails, so that it cannot be moved. But you, Israel, my servant Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offsprings of Abraham, my friends, you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from the fathers' corners, saying to you, You are my servant, I have spoken to you and not cast you off. Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded. Those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them. Those who were against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand. It is I who say to you, Fear not. I am the one who helps you. Brethren, thank God for the success and testimonies of the first series of this topic. All glory to God. Today we will be discussing how to overcome fear. Once we can define what fear is, then we must have a God and faith-based strategies in overcoming it. That great Methodist hymn book captures the whole essence of our strategy. In verse 1, it says, Give to the winds thy fears, hope and be undismayed. God hears thy sighs and counts thy tears. God shall lift up thy head. Wait, thou is time, so shall the night soon end in joyous day. Amen. Wow. What a great inspiration for him. Let us go beyond the motivational stories that we hear daily and strategies. Let's look at faith-based strategies that God has strengthened through the ages for those who trust in him. The first strategy for confronting fear, pray about fearful situations. Pray very hard about every fearful situation. Philippians chapter 4, verse 6. Philippians 4, verse 6 says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. From today, let your request be made known to God, not grumblings, not weepings and lamentations to men. They will mock you the more. God is the only one with the ability and capability to grant our request. In Matthew chapter 7, verse 7. Matthew 7, verse 7, the Bible says, Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and doors will be open to you. This is the blank check that I feel all the time. It has never been returned unpaid. Hallelujah. If the enemies are not sleeping, asking lesser gods for their help over you, please raise the game in prayers to the most high God. Our God answers by fire. Elijah mesmerized the 450 prophets of Baal because he knew his God and he faithfully called upon him. In first Kings chapter 18, verses 27 to 38. First Kings 18, verses 27 to 28, the Bible says, and at noon Elijah mocked them, saying, Cry aloud, for he is a God. Either he is missing, or he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awoken. And they cried aloud and caught themselves after their custom with swords and lances until the blood gushed out upon them. But there was no voice, no one answered, no one paid attention. Then Elijah said to all the people, Come near to me. And all the people came near to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been thrown down. Elijah took twelve stones according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be your name. And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord, and he made a trench about the altar as great as will contain two shears of seed. And he put the wood in order and cut the ball in pieces, laid on the wood, and said, Fill for jas with water, and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood. And he said, Do it a second time. And he did it a second time. And he said, Do it a third time. And they did it a third time. And the water ran around the altar and filled the trench also with water. And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word. Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that these people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back. Then the fire of the Lord fell and consume the burnt offering, and the wood and the stones, and the dust, and lift up the water that was in the trench. Hallelujah! Our God is alive. This story will be the anchor of our prayers today. We will together say, Father, everyone and anyone who have joined hands together to create fear and panic for my life, for my business, for my family, my God and my Lord, my God, the God of Elijah, please roast them alive in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let them be put an open shame in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let my song of victory be heard loud around the world. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Amen. In the next episode, by the grace of God, we will be examining other God given and Holy Spirit back proven strategies to subdue and overcome fear. My name is Benjamin Olasukami, Olami Julom. Let us pray. Our loving Father and our God, we worship your name. Thank you for being an answer to our prayers all the time. Thank you for giving us the spirit that conquers fear. Father, all that we must have lost to fear as opportunities, time, fortune, and chances. Please redeem them all for us, Lord. Till we see you in glory. Our reactions to fear will always be the bravery in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ that answer prayers. Let it be so, Lord, for we've prayed in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
