CHRIST, THE VANQUISHER OF DEATH (PART 3)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Death is treated like the ultimate full stop, but the resurrection says otherwise and we say it plainly: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” We open with worship and prayer, then anchor the message in John 3:16 and 1 Corinthians 15, where Scripture calls the resurrection a mystery and promises a coming moment when corruption gives way to incorruption. That promise is not abstract to us; it is the foundation for Christian hope, salvation, and endurance.
From there, we lay out the major achievements of the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ in clear steps. We talk about the finished work of salvation and why “It is finished” matters for anyone carrying guilt or shame. We also connect resurrection power to life right now, naming the places people often feel death at work: spiritual dryness, family strain, sickness, and fear. We return again and again to the central claim of the gospel: Christ conquered death in a way no one else could, and that victory changes what a believer expects from God.
We also highlight the pardon of sin, the call to repentance, and the cleansing that comes through the blood of Jesus rather than endless striving. We point to Christ’s lordship and royalty even in suffering, then move to the promise that Jesus has power to destroy the works of the devil, including failure, lack, and oppression. The message ends with a direct decision point drawn from Deuteronomy 30:19: choose life, follow Christ, and inherit eternal life.

Greetings And Opening Praise
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We come to you recovery greetings and the living word of God. In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Christ has conquered the death. Hallelujah. Let us pray. Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, our redeemer and Messiah, we worship you. Gospel according to John chapter 3, verse 16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Thank you, Lord, for giving us victory through your death and resurrection. Thank you for the gift of everlasting life. Thank you for saving our soul through the painful death on the cross. Thank you for enduring it all for us. Father, we pray that through your word today, souls will be saved, hopes will be restored, your kingdom will be expanded, and Satan will be put permanently to an open shape. At your second coming, Lord, this message will be one of our testimonies for salvation. Your name will be glorified, Lord, and our soul will become rapturable. In Jesus' wonderful name, we have prayed. Amen. Part three. And concluding part. I read, nowadays I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you of a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put up in corruption, and the mortar must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on corruption, and this mother has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting? Oh hate, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Brethren, we send joyous greetings to all mankind for this great victory and hope that our Lord Jesus Christ has got him for us through the death and resurrection. That man was saved from everlasting condemnation through the blood of the unblemished lamb. The first epistle of Apostle Paul to the Corinthians chapter 15, verse 21 says that for since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. Death came from the sin of Adam. Resurrection has come through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. In the last two weeks, we have discussed how Jesus Christ came to change the concept of death, being the end of man, to a new hope for eternal life with God, for his saints. We also discuss the joy and the excitement that escorted Christ to the cross. He offered himself voluntarily. Acts chapter 8, verse 32 B says, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter and as a lamb before his sheriff is silent. So he opened not his mouth. Rather, he was warning humanity concerning man's preparation for his second coming as a judge. Brethren, let's examine some of the major landmark achievements that the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ delivered to the world. Number one, he perfected the finished work of our salvation. Christ perfected the finished work of our salvation. John chapter 19, verse 28, says, after this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I test. But in verse 30 of the same John chapter 19, it further says, So when Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, It is finished, and bowing his head, he gave up his spirit. Brethren, this represents the fulfillment of the work of our salvation, our Savior that successfully redeemed us from the destruction and the cause of sin, both the one we inherited and the one we committed. Hallelujah. Number two, he brought life unto mankind. Christ brought life unto mankind by his death and resurrection on the cross. Even so in Christ all shall be made alive. Today we cannot tap into the power of resurrection to bring to life our spiritual life, our family life, our physical life, against sickness and all infirmities which represent death. Hallelujah. Number three, Christ conquered death. Death, we all know, is one of the mysteries that mankind has not been able to understand before Christ came. Many believe that death is so total and so final. Jesus, by fulfilling the promise of the resurrection, demystified death. Yes, Jesus raised the dead while he was with us in person. But to go to the grave and conquer death was an unprecedented victory over death. Hallelujah. Number four. He also demonstrated pardon for sin. He demonstrated on the cross pardon for sin. Jesus showed the whole world that he is part of God the Trinity that can pardon a repentant sinner. He did this to the condemned criminal on his right hand, granting him instant pardon and entrance to the paradise after his confession and appeal for a pardon. Maybe you are still weighed by the burden of your sin and you feel you have gone too far. No, his savior has come. Christ has come to redeem you, to pardon you. Isaiah chapter 1, verse 18 says, Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Hallelujah. Christ came to set all who believe free from the bondage of sin. Just come, confess, and forsake your sins. You will automatically become a hair apparent to Christ's kingdom. Number five, he established the lordship. He established his lordship and supreme royalty. Jesus established his lordship and supreme royalty, even on the cross. Now, even though the cross was a place where criminals are crucified, Jesus Christ maintained and showcased the royalty on the cross. From the multitude that followed him on the streets of Jerusalem, to the accurate predictions of all the unveiling events, to the miracle of fixing the caught air by one of his disciples, to the veil of the temple that tore into two, immediately gave up the ghost. To the earthquake and other happenings during his resurrection, it was confirmed that Christ's lordship and royalty were not in doubt. The centurion, they were guarding the tomb, confessed in Matthew chapter 27, verse 54. That so, when the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and other things that happened, they feared greatly, saying, Truly, this was the Son of God. Hallelujah. I pray that even your adversaries will confess that truly you are a son of God by the happiness in your life. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Number six, he bore the sin of the world. Christ bore the sin of the world. The major reason for Christ's crucification is to serve as the lamp of God for the sin of humanity. This he did while on the cross. No wonder his prayers were not answered while on the cross because at that point, even though Christ was personally blameless, he was standing for the punishment for humanity as a sinner, being punished on our behalf. Hebrews chapter 9, verse 28 says, So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him, he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. This is the grace that we have today for forgiveness of sin. Once a sinner repents without shedding animal blood. He provided the cleansing materials in his blood to wash all who come to him clean. Are you ready to be washed through the blood of Jesus Christ today? Come and he will wash you. Number seven, he received the power to destroy the works of the devil. Christ received the power to destroy the works of the devil. When Christ rose and met his disciples at the Galilee, he told them in Matthew chapter 28, verse 18, and Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Hallelujah! Before this, we know that all the evils of humanity came through sin. Before our Lord Jesus Christ offered himself to pay for the sin of man, it was a difficult situation for man. The works of the devil were manifested as punishment for man. However, 1 John chapter 3, verse 8b says, For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Hallelujah. Christ came to destroy the works of the devil, which are sicknesses, failure, unfruitfulness, death, poverty, and lack. I don't know which of them you are battling with today. Christ has consumed them. He has swallowed all these works of the devil. And you will never experience them again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We can rejoice that our Lord is king. Victory is ours. We have overcome the world. Eternal life is ours. Hallelujah. The question is, how do we become a parent to this victory? How do we have an inheritance in this victory? Like the young ruler asks Jesus Christ in Luke chapter 18, verse 18, saying, Now a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? The summary of the answer that he was given was, Leave the world and follow me. Are you ready to follow him so that you can have an inheritance in the victory of Christ on the cross? Deuteronomy chapter 30, verse 19 says, I call on heaven and earth as witness today against you that have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life. Please choose life that both you and your descendants may live. Are you ready to follow Christ or carry the baggage of the world? Choose life today, my brethren, and live. Thank you for your patience in listening to this message. We believe you have been blessed. Please share this with at least 10 or more brethren. You can also listen to this message and several other previous ones, other podcasts streaming. God bless you richly as you do so. Amen. My name is Benjamin Olasukami. Let us pray. Eternal Rock of Ages, our loving Father and our God. We bless your name. Thank you for your love for us. Thank you for offering yourself free for the salvation of our soul. Thank you for the gift of resurrection and life. Thank you for giving our faith in new meaning. Thank you for saving us from eternal death to eternal life. Father, we pray that from today every power not found in you, let the power of resurrection consume them totally. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. On the resurrection morning, Lord, when pain, sorrow, weeping will cease, and the saints shall gather before you. Grant us the grace to rise like you did and to be able to reign with you in your kingdom. These are many. We are asking the name of our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.
