Let's face it, falling into a rut in your relationship is one of the easiest things you can have happen. When you first get married things are so new, exciting, and fun! You love being together, doing stuff with one another, and the more you spend time with one another the better. 

Then, over time, the relationship rut sneaks in and begins to break down your relationship slowly and surely. When you have kids, it only gets harder. 

What happens to couples not paying attention to this, or working to break through the relationship rut they're in? Well, things only get worse. 

You stop feeling as connected. Your intimacy goes way down. Sex becomes an afterthought at best. You grow distant and then a part. Before you know it, you're more room-mates than a spouses. 

It doesn't have to be this way. We know what it feels like to be in a relational rut. After almost 10 years of marriage, three kids, a major move, and tons of ministry it feels like so many other things demand your attention first before you give it to your relationship.
