Questions:
1. We have had quite a few Mothers and sisters who have passed on at a young age (50,60,70’s) this past year. My mind goes to the woman with the issue of blood and the years she suffered. Jesus said it was her faith that made her well. Was our faith not strong enough with regard to the ones who have passed on? - Chris Flores
2. Can we talk to the dead? - From boys from fuel
3. As being raised Roman Catholic, do you consider the sacraments as a valuable component missing from the Protestant denominations. For example the usefulness and accessibility of confession, which I personally believe can lead to sozo but on the other hand have also heard that it was used as blackmail at times historically. - Franco
4. Can I disagree with God's methods and philosophy, while also loving and respecting God? - Anonymous
5. As someone who can't fully put my faith in god, or Christianity as a whole quite yet, although I am trying, I have a question that I've been pondering for quite some time now and seek your insight on. It's less on the philosophical side and more on the psychological/historical side of things. - essentially, I'd like to figure out more about how religion as a whole effects humans and our survival as a species on earth. To be more specific, how religion appears to be capable of becoming a nearly unbreakable base upon which to build our personalities, and various other aspects of our psyches when adopted from a young age (Or at any age for that matter, albeit more difficult to adopt). Aswell as being a nearly infinite source of hope and will to live. I found it very interesting that when looking at what religion is, and what it does for people from a psychological standpoint, I started to understand just one of the many reasons why religion is so important, not only to people's mental stability & fortitude, but to the survival of human kind as a whole. I know that psychology may not exactly be your area of expertise, but I figured that you may have some very useful insights or opinions to give on this topic given your extensive knowledge of, and history with the Bible and its teachings. Thanks. - Anonymous
6. On the subject of promises, in the 10 commandments, the only one that comes with a promise is to honor your father and mother and your days may be long. What does honor mean, because not all parents are good parents, and does this guarantee if you do honor your parents you will have a long life when we are also told we are not promised tomorrow? - Ryan Welch
7. How to you reconnect with God/Religion when it was used as a punishment growing up? I do believe and when I'm in church I can feel Gods grace. I have PTSD from this and would like to be freed from this stigma. Thank you. - Trisha
