DeAngelo Gillispie is a writer, host, actor, & podcaster from Atlanta Georgia. DeAngelo has over 20 years of experience as a host, performing poetry, spoken word & other stage performance art. He has been fortunate to be a part of several plays, improvs, comedy shows & competed in the National Poetry Slam . He is a published author, father, soon to be husband and currently is the host of "2 Cent Friday's Open Mic night" in Portland Oregon.

DeAngelo Gillispie is a seasoned Poet, Comedian, and host of “2 Cent Fridays Open Mic Night” Portland’s #1 Weekly open mic at Catfish Lou’s .

DeAngelo has created a following with his 2 Cent open mic nights in cities such as Atlanta, New York, San Jose and Portland; Collecting an eclectic group of friends along the way. DeAngelo has settled here in Portland, where he continues to provide entertainment with 2 Cent open mic, as the co host of 2 Cent the Podcast, throwing/hosting parties, shows, & mentoring other poets. He says he’s got much more to come in 2023 as he pushes poetry and literacy in these streets.
