Speaker 2Fierce fabulous fluff talking about stuff, gossip Pups. Fierce fabulous fluff talking about stuff, gossip Pups, happy.
Speaker 1Friday everyone, I'm Tinkerbell and I'm Belle, and welcome to Gossip Pups, season 2, episode 52.
Speaker 3Season 2, episode 52.
Speaker 1Woo Cinquenta y dos, cinquenta y dos. Boom, we made it, we did. 52. Boom, we made it, we did. Wow. So, happy Friday everyone.
Speaker 3Yes, happy Friday.
Speaker 1Today is December 27th, the Friday after Christmas. Yes, what a week.
Speaker 3It was a fantabulous week.
Speaker 1Fantabulous Hope. You all had a fantabulous Christmas and Christmas Eve and fun holiday week. Yes, and happy Hanukkah. Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate it started.
Speaker 3And all other holidays.
Speaker 1You know Christmas we only get the one night Hanukkah gets eight.
Speaker 3Yes, they do, I feel left out. Yes, but we get the one night. Hanukkah gets eight. Yes, they do, I feel left out. Yes, but we get the tree.
Speaker 1Yeah, we do, we get our beautiful tree.
Speaker 2Bless you.
Speaker 1Tinge, excuse me. Thank you, winky. So let's go to banter, because I just have to tell everyone what happened this week Bantering. What do you think? Time for the banter? Let's go Banter for episode 52, season 2. So we woke up last Saturday to a blizzard. I'm serious, we never have snow here and we had a blizzard. I woke up, looked out the door and reversed and said, oh heck, no. And I was like Tink, wake up, tink, wake up. There's so much snow, there was a blizzard out.
Speaker 3It was lots of snow.
Speaker 1So that's how the week started More than expected. Way more. Nobody even said anything about snow. I know they said maybe some flurries. That is the best job to have the weather person it doesn't matter, Even if you're wrong it doesn't matter, it's okay, it's okay, no matter what you say, it's okay, it's the best.
Speaker 1Yes, so that was the first thing. Then guess what else happened? We woke up on Christmas Eve morning to more snow. That was Tuesday and I was like where are we? Are we in Minnesota? Why are we having all this snow? I just couldn't figure it out.
Speaker 3It was a nice little snow. Yeah, that wasn't a blizzard For Christmas Eve.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was very nice.
Speaker 3It was just beautiful.
Speaker 1It goes with the song. Only a few hours I'm dreaming of a white.
Speaker 3Christmas, so it was a white Christmas.
Speaker 1And it was great. And then the best thing happened. I was so excited to wake up and see if Santa came. Well, he came and he brought us designer goods, designer goods. We got a box that's bigger and he brought us designer goods, designer goods. We got a box that's bigger and weighs more than me and Tink together from Petco. So that was the first thing Santa brought. It was this giant Petco box and I think you could have fit four of us in that box.
Speaker 3Definitely you could have fit us. It was great. Four of it was, maybe six of us, maybe six yeah, food, treats, toys, get everything.
Speaker 1It was just so fun, so that was the first thing we opened. And then we got two a box each from alexandra wang, the designer. I was like designer. I was like ooh.
Speaker 2Designer goods.
Speaker 1I was like couture, I was like tinky couture. We got it.
Speaker 3Yeah, I really enjoyed that one.
Speaker 1So Alexandra Wang sent us, so we opened it up and we both got this leather collar and leather leash that has these metal silver studs on them. Yeah, fierce.
Speaker 3Very fierce.
Speaker 1Very fierce. I feel fierce in that boy. Mm-hmm, it's very fierce, but really cool. And she also gave us treats, so her color scheme is black, obviously.
Speaker 3Her Alexandra. No. Alexander, der der der Noander wang isn't that a guy?
Speaker 1I don't know color scheme, while team checks because I might have said the wrong thing. You because, see, we've never met this designer and she know they know of us because of like fashion is alexander wang a guy or a girl? I thought it was a girl, alexandra.
Speaker 3No. Alexander Der Der.
Speaker 1Really yes, oh, typo on my end.
Speaker 3He is known for his urban inspired designs and use of black.
Speaker 1So, yes, it's a he and he gave us his style. It is the coolest, like, chicest fashion and with the theme is the black. Like I said, he made us black treats Not kidding, they were delicious Treats Black To match our collars and leashes.
Speaker 3Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 1So they were fabulous. Alexander gave us the best diva couture fashion Christmas we could have ever imagined. And what else Is that all? We got Tinky, I think so right.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Petco and Alexander Wang. Yeah, petko and Alexandra.
Speaker 3Wang. Yeah, Alexander, not Alexandra. I said Alexander. I just thought you were going to say Alexandra, no, not this time. Imagine there's someone out there probably named Alexandra Wang.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, there's someone named Tinkerbell. There's someone named Belle. There's someone named Tinkerbell, there's someone named Belle. There's someone named everybody's names.
Speaker 3I know, but I think it'll be fun here.
Speaker 1Yeah, so we will wear those, maybe when he invites us to his show or puts us in his show with those.
Speaker 3Yeah, I don't know, I'm actually. I just like this is an interesting. You need to read the Wikipedia.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, we'll move on then yeah, let this is an interesting you need to read the. Wikipedia. Oh Okay, we'll move on then.
Speaker 3So yeah, let's move on, and then what happened? After that, thanks to the designer goods.
Speaker 1Yeah, thanks. After that we ate snowman-shaped pancakes, Snowman pancakes. And then we had the Chiefs. They played on Christmas.
Speaker 3It was the best game we changed. The only problem was, miss Tay-Tay was not there.
Speaker 1No the.
Speaker 3Queen did not arrive.
Speaker 1She did not. I don't blame her we changed out of our clothes, our Christmas PJs.
Speaker 3From.
Speaker 1PJs To jerseys.
Speaker 3Jerseys.
Speaker 1We had to support the Chiefs and the Travis Harry face and we had to go with the jerseys and the bandanas that they gave us. So we wore those and guess what? They won, and Harryface finally made a touchdown. Harryface, harryface made the record now in touchdowns.
Speaker 3It was great.
Speaker 1It was such a good game.
Speaker 3It was so good, it honestly was so good.
Speaker 1Yeah, tink and I were doing flips in the room watching the TV show. It was so good.
Speaker 3That my homies. He's the best. Yo. It was such a good game I don't even know how to explain it.
Speaker 1And then they won and it was just so good, yeah, and I wouldn't have wanted to go there either. It's in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2Pittsburgh's freezing, yeah, and I wouldn't have wanted to go there either. It's in.
Speaker 1Pittsburgh, pittsburgh's freezing yeah, but they're used to that, I know. But Taylor's.
Speaker 3It's not like going to the Bills Ooh Stadium. Yeah, that's like a bleacher when they make you shovel.
Speaker 2Yeah, if you shovel, you get to see the game for free there.
Speaker 1I read that. Did you see that too? Yeah yeah, if you're a Buffalo Bills fan and you go in and shovel the seats and the floors from the snow, you get to see the game for free.
Speaker 3Yeah, but it has to be like a specific like it has to snow like really bad, like blizzard, but it snows a lot there I know, don't you think they should put a roof on some of these places?
Speaker 1I mean, I don't know, I don't get it.
Speaker 3Yeah, it doesn't make sense, especially there, like are you kidding?
Speaker 1Yeah, you know it's going to happen yeah. It's winter in Buffalo. It's happening.
Speaker 3But maybe it's just a tradition that they enjoy being freezing, no the shoveling, yeah, the fans like that apparently. It's a fan tradition. I'm good, so if there's a cover, then it's over.
Speaker 1I'm like, call me when you're done, then I'll show up.
Speaker 3So you'd rather pay for the ticket?
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3Than shovel.
Speaker 1Yeah, and I would like my ticket in an indoor heated room, please. I know.
Speaker 3There's no way to actually make those. The seats are probably soaking wet. How do you?
Speaker 1And frozen because they're plastic. Yeah, and metal.
Speaker 3I guess people bring tarp.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1People bring blankets, blankets.
Speaker 3Well, blankets are going to get wet.
Speaker 1It doesn't matter. They wrap up in so much First a tarp and then a blanket. Yeah, or a towel, multiple towels First a tarp and then a blanket, yeah, or a towel, multiple towels and then you have to carry it in and out of the stadium. That's not fun. I want to show up like Taylor and just walk in and be in my heated cocoon room. Yeah, yeah, so that happened With your chicken tenders. My chicken tenders the best, and okay. So what is Christmas without Christmas movies?
Speaker 3Yeah, what is Christmas without Christmas movies? So Tink and.
Speaker 1I binged.
Speaker 3We went from.
Speaker 1Elf to Home Alone 1 to Home Alone 2. We kept going. It was great.
Speaker 3Okay, so which one was your favorite? Well, I already know Elf. Come on.
Speaker 1Elf Belle is so obsessed I'm obsessed with the spaghetti and syrup. Yeah, you know Home Alone 1 and 2, it's the same story, it just takes place in a different location. Like, really, it's not a mind blowing script or anything, it's the same thing in two different places, but it's still great.
Speaker 3It's like, it's so funny. I I love re-watching them because I don't know.
Speaker 1You just always learn something new when you re-watch them yeah, tink sitting there Because Tink's seen it many more times than me and Tink's like I didn't realize it's the same story.
Speaker 3I'm like I didn't. They just changed the location, yeah. And then they have the scary old man in the first one.
Speaker 2And they have a scary old woman bird lady in the second one From Mary.
Speaker 3Poppins Feed the birds, feed the birds, feed the birds, and she teaches him a lesson, just like the old man. Just like the old man. Well, sort of Kevin teaches them a lesson too, though, but yeah, they both exchange lessons.
Speaker 1Yes, and that's the storyline of both movies.
Speaker 3But it's the same thing. They just change the gender and location of the old person.
Speaker 1And the location.
Speaker 3And they're really not scary, they're just you know older, and the second one just had a little more iconic people in it.
Speaker 1Yeah, donald Trump, he tells him that way, or something.
Speaker 3Yeah, and then Tim Curry, Tim Curry. And that lady Carol Shelley. Yeah, and that lady, and that lady Carol Shelley.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's her name.
Speaker 3The original. Madame Morrible in Wicked Rest in peace.
Speaker 1Yeah, rest in peace. She was good, she sang. Oh, she's great Not to throw shade at the movie again. That is a madam marble that can sing yes, it is so for those who haven't seen the broadway show, you don't have to go. Just listen to the soundtrack and you'll hear how the songs are supposed to be sung yeah that's all 100 yeah I yeah, I don't want to go back on the wicked train, but whatever.
Speaker 3No. So she was in it, tim Curry, who I think is retired now, right, Isn't that who I looked up and I was kind of sad Because during Halloween, was it or sometime we watched Clue. Because you never saw Clue, belle, yeah.
Celebrity Entertainment Banter and Pygmy Hippos
Speaker 1Sometime we watched Clue. Because you never saw Clue, belle. Yeah, I never saw these iconic fashion not fashion these iconic traditional movies some of them, yeah, so and I am a huge fan of Clue Tim.
Speaker 3Curry's a scary guy, so we watched it.
Speaker 1He's a scary guy. Well, no, I mean like if you look at him you don't know if he's gonna be nice or mean, or I don't know. His eyes scare me gotcha.
Speaker 3Yeah, understood, yeah, so no, but I think he's unfortunately oh yes, he unfortunately had a major stroke. Oh, july 2012, wow. As a result, he's shifted his work mostly to voice acting, although he has continued to perform as a singer and make appearances at fan conventions.
Speaker 1For Home Alone what?
Speaker 3No For Clue, no, yeah for Clue and for Rocky Horror.
Speaker 1Oh, conventions of Rocky Horror? Yeah, that I know.
Speaker 2And he also was in.
Speaker 3Spamalot? Yes, he was, and also he was Captain Hook, in what's it called?
Speaker 1Yeah, the Peter Pan.
Speaker 3Peter Pan and the Pirates. He was in Fern Gully, the Last Rainforest. He's done a lot.
Speaker 1And he always plays these characters that you don't know if they're going to like be mean.
Speaker 3Oh my gosh, and he also was Rooster Hannigan in Annie. We totally forgot about that. Oh yeah, I remember that. Yeah, wow.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's done so much work. I forgot that he was Rooster.
Speaker 3Yeah, which that's the Carol Burnett one. No, the TV one. Wait.
Speaker 1Was that the TV version, the first TV version?
Speaker 3Film adaption of Annie.
Speaker 1Yeah, oh wait, oh, he was in the real movie, the movie movie.
Speaker 3Wait, was he Rooster Hannigan In the movie movie Alien Quinn? Yeah, is that 1982, though I thought it was the 70s. No, no 80s I think, oh wow, I totally yeah. Is that 1982, though? I thought it was the 70s, no, no, 80s. I think, oh wow I totally forget why do?
Speaker 1I think that he's a, he's the butler in annie, I guess, because I picture him in clue. Yeah, I'm confused. Oh, and annie is playing now at the holidays at oh yeah, tim curry, madison Square Garden wow, but apparently they're not selling tickets for that. Did you read that? And they're. They're giving everybody 50% off the tickets.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1That's sad, and Whoopi Goldberg's in it.
Speaker 3Yeah, he's been in so much, oh, and he's also been in Muppet Treasure Island.
Speaker 2That's huge oh yeah, I know that one Such a fandom.
Speaker 3Yeah, so yeah, he definitely has. But yeah, apparently he's like in a wheelchair. He doesn't look that good from the photo that I see.
Speaker 2Wow.
Speaker 3Like he doesn't even look like him. Poor guy no doesn't look like him. What an epic career, yeah.
Speaker 1But yeah, look, oh, wow, Wow, Wow. And he was always little and skinny. That's crazy, Wow. So wait, do you guys? I have to say this this is not pop culture, but I have to put it in banter. We got a new two pygmy hippos in Virginia that were born. On the 24th. The Metro Richmond Zoo in Mosley, Virginia, announced the baby pygmy hippo welcomed in. So do we think it's going to take over Mudang's world? The other one didn't. I knew the other one wouldn't. I don't know.
Speaker 3What is that?
Speaker 1I don't know that was that. I don't know, that was weird. Did you guys hear that Did?
Speaker 3you hear some static.
Speaker 1Yeah, anyway, maybe Tink pushed that. So there's two hippos in Virginia. I want to go see them if they really look like Mudang. Mudang. Do you know? Mudang has Whoa I just lost my ears. Has Whoa, I just lost my ears. Do you know? Mudang has brand partnerships for 2025 already booked.
Speaker 3Brand partnerships yeah, I'm not kidding, as in like to post on the internet or what, because they're marketing.
Speaker 1they're using him Apparently. Christmas was wild, with everybody wanting Mudang presents, really, yeah.
Speaker 3I didn't.
Speaker 1I didn't get anything. I love Mudang too, and in 2025, he's doing collabs with brands.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 1He's already got his calendar booked.
Speaker 3Wow Mudang, what an influencer.
Speaker 1Exactly that other guy was in what Australia that they're like, oh, move over Mudang. What an influencer. Exactly that other guy was in what Australia that they're like, oh, move over Mudang. And I looked at him and I was like, oh no there's not a chance here.
Speaker 3So how do you think that? Why do you think that these ones will be?
Speaker 1Well, they're in Virginia. Okay, they're closer to us. So what does that mean? So that means we can go visit them and convince them how to act to be on social media. But it's all about the pink cheeks. The last guy didn't have those pink cheeks. It's all about the pink All about the pink. Yeah, these two might have a chance.
Speaker 3Okay, what do you think? Well, are you looking at their picture?
Speaker 1No, because I was afraid to move right now, because I heard a static sound. So if you pull up their photos for me, tink they're very nice, they're going to be 600 pounds each, just like Mudang, I think they're like 70 pounds already.
Speaker 3Okay, I'm going to pull up the photos now, and they are in Virginia.
Speaker 1I think we have listeners in Virginia. Yeah, we do, but I put it in ban. Up the photos now and they are in Virginia.
Speaker 3I think we have listeners in Virginia. Yeah, we do.
Speaker 1But I put it in banter because Okay, pygmy hippos.
Speaker 3Here we go.
Speaker 1It's pop culture, it's not hippo culture, but yeah, so it had to be in banter, because I had to get it in, because you know I love Mudang.
Speaker 3Okay, well, this one does not.
Speaker 1I don't know know you can't really tell right now I can. I knew the last one was a oh tink's studying, she's studying and assessing.
Speaker 3Yeah, he's a little dark don't have the cheeks, I'm telling you even like you never know, they even make blush brands for Mudang.
Speaker 1They're not, as rosy, mudang's got those pinkest cheeks and he's got the best personality.
Speaker 3Okay, well, this one he's got, he could be this guy looks terrified.
Speaker 1He's like. I don't want to be on the internet. Can we put that? Tinky, put that in our story.
Speaker 2So people know who we're talking about he's like.
Speaker 1I don't want to do this.
Speaker 2Moodang thing, it's not my game.
Speaker 3Oh my God, this hippo.
Speaker 1His eyes tell it all. He's so funny. He's like leave me alone, close the door, I want my privacy. Well, we'll have to see the jury's out, but Mudang is killing it on. Where's the money going for Mudang? Do we know, hey Tink? Do we know where the money of Mudang goes? Does it go to the zoo, or does it go to the guy the trainer? Do we know where the money of Mudang goes? Does it go to the zoo, or does it go to the guy the trainer who set up his social Like?
Speaker 3who's signing Mudang's contracts?
Speaker 1I think the zoo probably the zoo signing his contracts.
Speaker 3Yeah, I think the zoo.
Speaker 1Well, that's good, the zoo's going to get some spiffy renovations then.
Speaker 3Completely, completely, yeah, okay, I'm putting this on the stories.
Speaker 1Yeah, just put it on and it's like I-Y-K-Y-K. If you know. You know, that's what we're in the midst of talking about and changing. Next, from Hippo for my last part of banter. This is our final week of season two. Yes, we are rolling in, not just to 2025 next Friday, but to season three, without a break of Gossip Pups, we are slaying, we're on fire, we're on a roll to season three, without a break of gossip pups, we are slaying, we're on fire, we're on a roll, we are not stopping. And that's how we go Right, tink.
Speaker 1Yes, that is how we go so happy end.
Speaker 3I'm posting this story.
Speaker 1Happy last episode of season two. I hope you've all enjoyed our podcast. Please make sure to share with everyone so that more people can enjoy our podcast.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 3And my bluntness and our pop culture.
Speaker 1Yeah, all right, and I think that's it for my banter for today. Wow, did I talk a long time. It's good.
Speaker 3I don't have much pop story. Banter was fun.
Speaker 1All right, roll it on, tink moving on.
Celebrity Scandals and Nashville Living
Speaker 3Okay, well, we were just. We talked about the queen, obviously, first, and we have to talk about how Taylor Swift is settling into her WAG era as she makes her home base Nashville. Taylor Swift may not have celebrated Christmas Day with Travis Kelsey, but the couple will be spending way more time together in 2025 and in Nashville. And now that her record settling eras tour and highest grossing concert tour ever is over, the superstar is entering her wag era, friends say. The singer was not at the kansas city chiefs game against the pittsburgh steelers in pittsburgh on wednesday, as she is sticking to home games for security reasons, although she did subtly um honor her boyfriend, who broke the chief's record for most receiving touchdowns, by liking the team's celebratory Instagram post.
Speaker 1That was funny. The coach was Santa Claus. At the end.
Speaker 3Yes, an insider tells us, it looks like this may be Taylor's domestic era. It also looks like Taylor is going to make Nashville more of a home base than LA or NY, since it's closer to Kansas City and her mom, andrea, loves Nashville too.
Speaker 1Well, that's where she's from, isn't it? But it's also really it's not like a city city, so it's better. She's got more room.
Speaker 3Yes, the singer apparently owns two properties in Nashville, including a sprawling industrial-style apartment and a Greek revival mansion within a gated community.
Speaker 1Gated community, meaning other people are around her.
Speaker 3No gated community, like it's private, Like you can't get into the community To her community.
Speaker 1but to her that's what I mean Is it a community?
Speaker 3Like in.
Speaker 1Florida, they have gated communities yeah, so there's other people in that community? Yeah, of course, I wonder who.
Speaker 3I don't know.
Speaker 1Let's go.
Speaker 3Probably like a lot of music people.
Speaker 1That's what I think Music land that's like a famous community, maybe community. Maybe They'll let us in. Let's go to the gate.
Speaker 3And don't forget her home in Beverly Hills, california, and a $50 million Tribeca compound forged out of two townhouses, as well as her $17 million Rhode Island estate.
Speaker 1Yeah, the one in the city. She originally got the whole penthouse. Then she kept buying more, so now she has the whole entire top two floors of the apartment.
Speaker 3Smart, yeah, smart girl.
Speaker 1Take it over, kick out the rest. That's very smart. That's what you do.
Speaker 3Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1And you wait it out and then you get more.
Speaker 3Yeah, smart. And then Travis has, you know, his $6 million mansion.
Speaker 1In Kansas City that was robbed because he has no security cameras.
Speaker 3I know Well, Kelsey's next game isn't until January 5th in Denver. So they'll probably have a nice little New Year's together.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3New Year's Eve. Wonder what they're doing.
Speaker 1Oh, they're going to stay in Nashville, maybe.
Speaker 2They're going to have a big party.
Speaker 3I guess yeah. Well, they're going to stay in Nashville, maybe, so you can have a big party. I guess yeah, interesting huh.
Speaker 1I want to go to Nashville one day. We can. Okay, tink, you've been there.
Speaker 3Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1I know that's on our list.
Speaker 3Definitely.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's not like the city. You need a car, you said.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Like the city here, you just walk and take subways or whatever.
Speaker 3No, you need a car there. Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1Yeah, you liked it though.
Speaker 3A hundred percent Okay. Next story yeah, Taylor woof. Yeah, Taylor woof, Okay. So the biggest story since last week, since we gossiped last week, is that Justin Baldoni has been sued by Blake Lively for a sexual harassment campaign to destroy her reputation. Yes, Blake Lively has filed a bombshell lawsuit against co-star Justin Baldoni, alleging he sexually harassed her on the set of her hit film. That's that film. It Ends With Us. Yes, According to the legal docs, the actress further accuses Baldoni, who also served as the director of the film, of a coordinated effort to destroy her reputation following the movie's release. She says the smear campaign caused harm to her business and led her family led to her family experiencing severe emotional distress. What it ends with us? A domestic violence drama based on the bestselling book by Colleen Hoover was released in theaters this past summer. At the time, rumors swirled of a feud between Lively and Baldoni, who refused to appear together to promote the flick, which is true.
Speaker 3We always talked about this when it was coming out, because it was very confusing and very odd. Yes, and then there were so many stories coming out about them. Both Remember Back and forth.
Speaker 1Yeah, they were. It was like this one's bad, this one's bad, this one's bad, but I know it's true because everybody's coming to her side. Yes.
Speaker 3So everyone literally is coming to her defense, even her sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars. They all did a post on Instagram.
Speaker 1Yeah, all of them supporting her.
Speaker 3Supporting her and not for any other reason other than they know the truth and now we know, though he got he got um, his agent, william morris, kicked him to the curb yes, and he also got sued by his former publicist amid the blake lively scandal as well.
Speaker 1Yep, he's going down because everybody obviously knows this is the truth.
Speaker 3I think so. And what else? Oh, and now the Swifties can calm down, because remember, there is that rumor oh, taylor's mad at Blake or they're fighting because she didn't post about her movie and I'm like no, she didn't post about the movie because it's his movie and she didn't want to publicize that at all. Right, because she posted about Ryan Reynolds movie.
Speaker 1He's a snake.
Speaker 3Yeah, it doesn't seem very good.
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 3At all and that was like the real hot story of the week for everyone.
Speaker 1That like broke the Monday before Christmas, I think. And it's everybody's on her side.
Speaker 2Yep.
Speaker 1It's insane how many people actually know about what he does and are finally like saying it.
Speaker 2It's crazy. It's kind of like uh, what's?
Speaker 1his pd. That's in jail.
Speaker 3Everybody's coming out now yeah and I don't think all these people make it up no, especially if it's like so many people against, like there's. I mean, I don't think there's anyone defending him, me either.
Speaker 1Nope, not to one, not to one. No, yeah, so now Taylor will be posting about her friend Blake.
Speaker 3Maybe they'll go there for New Year's Eve too. Maybe yeah, maybe, maybe yeah, but it's definitely like very interesting, yeah, and it's definitely like very interesting, yeah, and it's also just so weird, like this is literally what the movie was about.
Speaker 1Yeah, he played himself, I guess. So he played it. That's why he was good. He played himself. There was no acting involved.
Speaker 3No acting involved. It was literally the same exact relationship, yeah.
Speaker 1And everyone had said that, because it's a book first and they're all like the movie's as good as the book.
Speaker 2Really.
Speaker 1Because he's a convincing creeper.
Speaker 3It's terrifying when someone you're acting against is literally the same exact type of person.
Speaker 1Yeah, and like I mean there's a lot of details, but like they had to have a coach on set 24-7 because of everything happening, like to do the scenes and he didn't care, he did whatever he wanted anyway.
Speaker 3Sounds vaguely familiar, doesn't it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's so weird, so creepy.
Speaker 1Yeah, anyway, I'm glad I don't know him, glad we never met him, and moving on.
Speaker 3We're moving on.
Speaker 1Moving on to the new year without crazy people.
Speaker 3I mean, do you think they're going to go to court? Do you think they're just going to settle?
Speaker 1I don't know how he can settle. What is he going to do? He has no team anymore, apparently because everybody that he had dropped him.
Speaker 3Yeah, I don't know if she's, is she like I don't know what?
Speaker 2exactly she's suing for.
Speaker 3Is she suing for like nothing, like just to get it, just to put him in his place? Yeah, or I don't think she suing for like nothing, like just to get it, just to put him in his place?
Speaker 1Yeah. Or is she suing him for money? I don't think she's asking for money no. I don't think she's asking for money.
Speaker 3I think she's Just more of the principle of the thing.
Speaker 1Yeah, she just wants everyone to know and to be not have to be subjected to him and his doings.
Speaker 3Yeah, and honestly, the way that it played out, they really tried to ruin her.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh, I know.
Speaker 3Every story Like there's a story every 15 minutes.
Speaker 1Yeah, about Blake Lively. She didn't do anything. This, that yeah, she didn't do anything. It's crazy, but we saw the movie and that was the best, when she was like this is it Goodbye, mm-hmm, this is it Goodbye? Yeah, and he's a creeper Anyway, yeah, so out with the creepers, and with the new New Year's Peace, out creepers. Out with the creepers and with the new, new Year. Peace out creepers your old 2024 news.
Pop Culture Highlights of 2024
Speaker 3Yep you are. We should do like a Creeper recap. No, we should do like um creeper recap degree. No, we should do because this is our final episode of the new year maybe, like I don't know a little a dance. No, a little pop culture, like what was your favorite story from this year my, my favorite story.
Speaker 1oh my, it has to be.
Speaker 3Favorite pop cultures of this year.
Speaker 1It has to be the Erez Tor mega existence, I think.
Speaker 3Really.
Speaker 1I don't know. I don't know. It's hard for me to recap because I like everything, as you all can tell. I just talk about everything because I love everything.
Speaker 3Yeah, I love it Anything. Tink says I'm in. I think my favorite was the tortured poets department. Um, like that release week that was, that was fun double album yeah and we got to talk about it, yeah, and everything that was a fun one.
Speaker 1Yeah, the only thing I remember about pop culture that I was not interested in was Taylor's book.
Speaker 3Oh yeah.
Speaker 1I was like not interested. But I don't know, there's so much that happened in 52 episodes that I can't remember them all. But I think a highlight has been recapping the queen her tour, Nice, I think. Yeah, I mean we've got the creepers in between always and the you know other stories in between and the Salinas and the this and the that, but yeah, Nothing tops it. I also like the royal family.
Speaker 3Oh yeah.
Speaker 1I like talking about them. Yeah, speaking of them, speaking of them. Did you see how beautiful they all looked in their Christmas Eve and Christmas?
Speaker 3day coats yeah, they looked great, and Kate was there. She looked great. So proud of her.
Speaker 1Yeah, I think she's doing okay whatever it is, yeah, hopefully, yeah. But apparently he, the, the king is not doing great.
Speaker 3I'm sorry.
Speaker 1Yeah, I read that Wow, but that's okay. Move forward and hopefully 2025 will be good for everyone. But I also liked it because we were in London and I feel like you know, we were part of royalty for a brief moment. Mm-hmm 100%.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, that London week so fun.
Speaker 1Epic. All right, what else do you have, anything else?
Speaker 3Wow, we've been chatting a lot here. Yes, we have. I think that's pretty much it. I mean, the other story's not really that interesting. Okay, I mean, that was the biggest story of the week.
Speaker 1Honestly, yeah, and I've only got two stories, so Are we gonna pup culture it, yeah, don't look.
Speaker 3She's cheating.
Speaker 1Tink's looking at my pup culture story.
Speaker 3Let's end pop and go to pup.
Speaker 1We're going to pup. Well, my pup. Culture for the last episode of 2024 has a theme.
Speaker 3Water.
Speaker 1Mm-hmm. Tink didn't listen to me.
Speaker 3There's a theme Water.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, are you curious? Yep, go ahead, she's like hit me now.
Speaker 3Here we go.
Speaker 1Okay, so the first story A dog gets a private canoe ride across a frozen lake after falling through ice into frigid water. New Jersey, close to home. Here New Jersey firefighters had to get creative for their latest rescue. Franklin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department responded to a dog in need. The canine had fallen through the ice over a shadow lake and was struggling to escape the frigid waters. The pet managed to swim to a nearby island 75 feet offshore where the dog became stranded. Franklin Lake's volunteer fire department added that they arrived on scene minutes after the call about the dog. Shortly afterwards the rescue crews arrived dressed in ice gear and prepared to fetch the dog. The assembled team of dog rescuers also commandeered by a nearby homeowner's canoe yeah, look, hmm.
Speaker 1Yeah, look, Okay. So there's a picture of these fire guys in their ice protective gear in the water of the ice with a canoe. So they're going to the island. They had a few treats to win the dog's trusts. They were able to leash the pup and bring him safely back to shore. They stayed in the water and the ice as they pushed. You see this picture.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Pushed the dog, oh, lost it. Pushed the dog to shore and safety. See that? Oh my gosh, that's very nice. So those firefighters are definitely heroes. The pup, apparently, is home Back home. Another successful rescue, they said, showing the teamwork and the volunteers. Thank goodness they had that canoe. That's crazy.
Speaker 3Sounds freezing.
Speaker 1Go New Jersey. He's a big guy, we would have not survived that I don't even think we would have made it to that frozen island? Probably not. No, my second story Okay, radio host rescued from river after trying to save a dog from drowning. I was getting a bit panicky, you all right there yeah.
Speaker 1I had to swallow. A British radio host has been dubbed a hero without a cape after attempting to save a dog from a river. Jordan North, who hosts Capital Breakfast, was running along the banks of the River Thames in London and he noticed a Labrador struggling to swim in the water. We were there, the River Thames, so can you imagine if our human was just running and exercising and spotted a dog in the water, would she have jumped?
Speaker 3in. That's rough.
Speaker 1And it's cold. It's really cold there.
Speaker 3I don't think so.
Speaker 1Speaking on Capitol the following day, the 34-year-old revealed to his co-hosts his attempt to save the dog ended with him having to be rescued by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. I ran in London just past where the Fulham plays football, so right on the River Thames and there's this woman who's looking distressed, he said. Loads of people looking over the edge. I took off my headphones and was like what's going on here? There's this dog that's basically drowning. North went on to share that. He spotted a six-foot gate which he climbed over and walked to the end of a small jetty in hopes to save the dog. The dog struggling. The tide was so strong he continued Every time I'm just about to grab him, the current takes him.
Speaker 1The radio host had to ask the crowd that was gathered to alert the Coast Guard for help. To ask the crowd that was gathered to alert the Coast Guard for help. He joked like this is like a Coldplay gig, as everyone lit up their phones to indicate to them where he and the dog were. As the Coast Guards were unable to find them, it took three minutes for the crew to complete the rescue, revealing that two boats had to be used. A big thank you and a massive shout out to everyone who came to rescue me because I was getting very panicky. He said I was getting nervous as well, because I thought my legs were going to go. I can't hold on much longer, as they literally just got here in perfect timing. He added they are the real heroes.
Speaker 3They came in perfect timing, he added.
Speaker 1They are the real heroes. They came, got me a blanket and put it around me. He shared all his story on X and apparently the dog is safe now too. But that's crazy. The theme was water, frozen water everywhere, new Jersey and London for the final episode of Puppet Culture.
Speaker 3Nice.
Speaker 1So that's it Two rescues Frozen water. Frozen water. Peace out. We're moving into 2025. Hopefully with some more fun stories. Oh, and, before we start to wrap it up, let's see if we've got some new listeners.
Speaker 3Yeah, let's see.
