Speaker 3:Yeah, it was a strange week. Strange week, it's April.
Speaker 1:Yes, and there's tornadoes everywhere. Did you see Nashville? I know I saw that they're hiding in the basement of the hotels. It's wild over there. It's the Wizard of Oz. Hope everyone's okay. It's the Wizard of Oz.
Speaker 3:Yeah, shout out to Debbie and Coco.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I've been updated, good Hope you're staying safe. Yeah, hope you guys slept. Yeah, craziness going on there, but it's all over. We have rain here. It's terrible out now. It's just crazy weather.
Speaker 3:I actually don't think it's terrible out right now.
Speaker 1:I thought it was raining it was.
Speaker 3:But now if we're looking outside, I think it's like really nice out all of a sudden.
Speaker 1:Oh well, we better hurry Get to it. Wow, it became nice out.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh wow, All right good, Unless maybe I'm wrong, I don't know it was raining earlier. Yeah, we're a little late. It's more like happy lunchtime or happy tea time today. Happy Friday is. Yeah, we're a little late.
Speaker 3:Sorry for the delay, but it's just been.
Speaker 1:Sorry, guys, it's one of those mornings.
Speaker 3:Yeah, one of those mornings.
Speaker 1:Those mornings and just busy doing stuff.
Speaker 3:I feel like last was it last week.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 3:We were. What did we do at like 6 am? Yes, yeah. And today it's like the Opposite, the total opposite.
Speaker 1:Sorry, no consistency, it's very hard.
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So let me, before I forget, to move on to some stats and tell you oh yeah, because we didn't do stats last week. No, sometimes we do every other week, sometimes we do every week. But let's do it for today. Let's kick it off with that, okay, okay, but let's do it for today. Let's kick it off with that, okay, okay. So let's see New locations, which? This doesn't make sense to me. Okay, charlotte, north Carolina. Don't we already?
Speaker 3:have Charlotte, North Carolina.
Speaker 1:I thought we already had people from there. I guess it's a different section of Charlotte?
Speaker 3:Yeah, but I also think it changes based on the stats. Yeah, that's number one.
Speaker 1:That's just new locations. They're not number anything. They just tell it's just like the new locations.
Speaker 3:Okay, then I guess it's a different part of Charlotte Exactly.
Speaker 1:That's why I was confused, tinker, sorry. Okay, next one Sunderland, sunderland. You gotta look that one up for me. Sunderland it sounds like Germany S what Sunder, s-u-n-d-e-r-l-a-n-d. Comma? Sunderland, sunderland, sunderland. It's probably not called that twice. They just it's a different country, obviously somewhere. Then there's an unidentifiable location. It just says comma.
Speaker 3:Sunderland is United Kingdom.
Speaker 1:Oh, uk, wow, Welcome Sunderland. Hey UK, Look at this one unidentifiable just has a little.
Speaker 3:A dot. Yeah, what does that mean, don't?
Speaker 1:know. And then somewhere in Florida, a dot Florida Must be somewhere in the Everglades by the crocodiles. What is that Dot Florida? I don't know, but it's funny. So welcome new listeners, and okay.
Speaker 3:So now we will go to the top countries okay usa holding strong and number one, followed by oh, this is a mix-up, oh I just looked it up, though sorry I didn't interrupt, but the dot means that the system is unable to determine your location accurately exactly.
Speaker 1:they're living with the crocodiles in Florida, or something, or is experiencing a temporary issue with location services. Yeah, okay, there you go, they're underwater.
Speaker 3:Maybe it's the crocodiles themselves.
Speaker 1:Maybe it's the astronauts up in space. Maybe, yeah, could be. So. Top countries and territories are USA number one, number two Germany. I think they've been pretty holding strong.
Speaker 3:Germany is holding so strong. It's telling us, we need to go.
Speaker 1:Yeah, now we've got the mix. Number three now is Australia. Number four is the United Kingdom. They're back up there again. They had dropped down a little. They had to get back on this game here.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they did GPS, yeah.
Speaker 1:And number five is France. So the Ukraine lost its spot. It's now number six.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Followed by Taiwan, hungary, canada and Bangladesh. Wow yeah, interesting right, so I didn't want to forget this time.
Speaker 3:So we did it first. Love these stats.
Speaker 1:Yeah and yeah. So welcome new listeners, old listeners. We love all of you.
Speaker 3:GPS. Welcome everyone from all over the world.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I love that. We're all over the world.
Speaker 3:It's really cool yeah.
Speaker 1:It's really cool. Yeah, it's really cool. We should do a podcast tour and go visit each city or something.
Speaker 3:Yeah, well, that's what podcasters do, they tour.
Speaker 1:Well, that's when we get a good sponsor. Hello.
Speaker 3:Hello, out there, we're putting it into existence.
Speaker 1:Gs are gonna tour.
Speaker 3:Yes, that would be great yes, when we get a sponsor. Yep an official platform yep hint, hint hint, hint.
Speaker 1:Everyone who's listening spread the word. Okay, so let's go to banter. What do you think, tink?
Speaker 3:Ready. I am 100% ready for banter.
Speaker 1:Okay, so last Saturday in New York it was beautiful, so we didn't want to waste any time, so Saturday afternoon we actually went to the beach.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we did.
Speaker 1:Not to lay on the beach, obviously. Oh no we actually went to the beach. Yeah, we did Not to lay on the beach, obviously, oh no, no, no. We walked the whole boardwalk. We ran all over the beach. I ate sand. I don't know why.
Speaker 3:So Belle hasn't been to the beach in a little while.
Speaker 1:I mean, what was it last Miami?
Speaker 3:Yes, oh no, no, I've been to. You've been to the beach here before, like what over the fall yeah, I just don't know what came.
Speaker 1:Okay, well, I don't know what came over?
Speaker 3:yeah, you totally forgot that. You do not eat sand. Sand is not for eating. Eat sand Sand is not for eating.
Speaker 1:I don't know why I did it. I don't do it ever anywhere.
Speaker 3:You decided to just consume.
Speaker 1:So then, on the way off the beach to go back to the boardwalk, I developed a new walk which we have a video of. It's called the Beach Hop.
Speaker 3:Oh Wait, actually. Yes, I totally forgot about that.
Speaker 1:I didn't forget Because I'm the one hopping.
Speaker 3:Yes, because human was over you eating sand, because we did not want another trip to the vet. Yeah, that's happened numerous times for me With stomach issues.
Speaker 1:Yes, I ate chocolate ice cream in North Carolina.
Speaker 3:South Carolina.
Speaker 1:South Carolina somewhere. So instead and I just want to say, it was worth it.
Speaker 3:What? The sand? The ice cream, oh, the ice cream. Okay good Well, little did we know that you also ate mulch.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that was a secret, Thank God.
Speaker 3:Thank God we got the stomach pumped yeah but um yeah, human could not deal with the harness and with you, you know eating the sand. So instead, human held you up by the harness and you hopped the bell hop, the beach bell hop.
Speaker 1:so so the bellhop Vision is guys.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:So my front legs are up like a human, my back legs are on the sand like a human and I'm a hop like a bunny, just with my back legs. It's called the bell beach hop. You should try it one day.
Speaker 3:So that's how we went back up to the boardwalk, the only problem with the Bell Bee Chop, though, is that we have to be careful of your knees. I know.
Speaker 1:So it's a catch-22 when it comes to yeah, I just don't know why I started eating sand.
Speaker 3:I don't know either. I couldn't stop. You've been completely fine. All of a sudden it's back to the puppy days for you.
Speaker 1:So crazy. I don't know, maybe because of the cold texture it was a different texture. You know, sand's always warm. This was cold, I guess. But anyway, besides that, we had fun. We got a lot of exercise in.
Speaker 3:Yeah, finally, I think about like three miles.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we walked the whole boardwalk almost and we ran the beach. I ran the beach, tink watched me run the beach.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I just you know, strut along.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Tink observes everything.
Speaker 3:I still got good exercise, but I you know, oh yeah.
Speaker 1:I'm not overly, I I still got good exercise, but I'm not overly, I'm so fast I was like bye, tink, yeah. So that was last weekend, and then we created the content for those cute new jackets from Anthropologie and Maxbone.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I really like those jackets.
Speaker 1:And we posted them. Yeah, in fact, you wore yours yesterday.
Speaker 3:Really cute, I did wear mine yesterday.
Speaker 1:They're perfect for the spring because they feel like they're water repellent, like for the rain.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they are. Yeah, yeah, I like it.
Speaker 1:Love it. What else? Oh yeah, Peeps Brand sent us some presents. That was nice of them. Thank you, Peeps Brand.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
Speaker 1:And then, okay, so we got this campaign and it arrived. What is today, friday? It arrived on Tuesday. So we knew we had to shoot it Wednesday because yesterday would be editing and we were like hurry up. And we ran down to the beach Wednesday night in the cold just to get some content of this new product, which we can't say, but it was freezing yeah so we went from beautiful Sunday at the beach to freezing Wednesday night at the beach Because we've had the craziest weather here.
Speaker 1:Anyway, that will be going up, but not yet. We have a lot more to do on that campaign, a lot more work to do on that campaign. What else? Did we have an audition this week? No, we did not have an audition. This is week two of no auditions. Wow, wow, guys, what's the matter? You don't want small dogs anymore. What's happening?
Speaker 3:What's going on?
Speaker 1:What's going on? We're better, we're the best accessory. Big guys aren't it? I don't get it. That's it, I think I get it. So that's it, I think that brings us to today.
Speaker 2:Things will happen.
Speaker 1:Yeah, brings us to today, another Friday.
Speaker 3:Today.
Speaker 1:And kind of was raining this morning, but apparently Ting says it's great now. Who knew?
Speaker 3:It looks a little nicer out, but it does say that it's, you know, cloudy, cloudy conditions cloudy, cloudy conditions.
Speaker 1:Yeah, cloudy, so whatever. Yeah, yeah, I think we're supposed to have an ugly weekend.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's supposed to rain. 80% chance of rain the entire weekend and Up until Monday.
Speaker 1:Sip of coffee on that weather.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I'm actually having tea today.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, tinky actually having tea today, yeah, Tinky is a what do they call you A tea toddler? Is that what they call tea people? Tea toddler? I like tea. When we went to England, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3:Sometimes I like coffee, but today I just was in the mood for like a nice tea.
Speaker 1:I understand. Tell me if you do this. I do not do this. Tink puts milk in her tea.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I like a little milk in my tea.
Speaker 1:But then doesn't it taste like that's normal Hot water, milk, like I don't know? But what do you think coffee is? No, no, coffee has a distinct flavor.
Speaker 3:Tea is the same thing. It's distinct flavored water, Like coffee is distinct flavored water.
Speaker 1:And then you just add milk, tea has a different taste to me.
Speaker 3:I like milk in regular black teas. I don't like milk in like fruity teas, although people do put milk in fruity tea. Now, that's what. Like the pink drinks and all those things are at Starbucks.
Speaker 1:Yeah, which I don't get ever.
Speaker 3:Pink drink.
Speaker 1:No fruity drinks. I'm not a fruity kind of girl.
Speaker 3:Yeah, no, no.
Speaker 1:I'm good.
Speaker 3:And people put milk in matcha, that's tea.
Speaker 1:Yes, I've had a matcha.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I know. But it doesn't taste like regular tea to me and chai tea lattes. But when?
Speaker 1:we go to tea, like you know tea, tea, tea time high tea. I do not put milk in my tea.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, for that I don't usually put milk.
Speaker 1:You only put milk in it in the morning. Guys, do you do this? Let me know.
Speaker 3:I mean, I think that's normal. Think of Downton Abbey. And when they do have tea, they put milk in the tea. They pour it from the little spout thing. What is that called Pitcher? No, isn't a pitcher like a huge?
Speaker 1:plastic thing I don't know, but I don't put milk in my tea ever. Okay, that's fine. It stinks taste buds.
Speaker 3:I like a little milk in my tea. Yeah, and I'm not ashamed Good, because they literally give you cream and milk on the side. Okay, there we go All right.
Speaker 1:Tinker. Time to get to the gossip.
Speaker 3:Are we going into pop culture?
Speaker 1:Yes, we are. I'm ready to fight you.
Speaker 3:Whoa, why are you fighting me?
Speaker 1:because we always disagree on things okay.
Speaker 3:Well, this is the first story. I don't think you'll. Well, maybe you'll disagree, I don't know. Um, so, first story kelly clarkson eyeing exit from daytime talk show as nbc scrambles to keep her on air. Yeah, what the heck kelly clarkson wants to break away. Sheles to keep her on air. Yeah, what the heck Kelly Clarkson wants to break away. She wants to quit her daytime talk show when her contract with NBC expires next year, leaving executives at the network scrambling to find ways to keep her on board. The news follows the Since You've Been Gone singer-turned-chat-show queen's still-unexplained absence from the Kelly Clarkson show for nearly two weeks last month. Reporting at the time suggested Clarkson left the airwaves because of a personal matter. Multiple sources have now told Page Six that the original American Idol winner wants to exit her talk show to spend more time with her daughter and son.
Speaker 1:She's pulling a hoda.
Speaker 3:Kelly's number one priority is her children, and they always will be. One industry insider told Page Six the show is grueling. It's a whole lot of work and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down south. A rep for Clarkson declined to comment.
Speaker 1:A rep for Clarkson declined to comment. Okay, can I? Okay? So I don't understand, because Basically this is still kind of a new talk show. Isn't it considered new still?
Speaker 3:Um, I don't know, wait, hold on, but all I know is when she moved here, she was like this is the best city on earth.
Speaker 1:I'm so happy we're living here. I never want to leave here. Now she wants to leave Peace out. She thought it was great. She's so happy to raise her kids here in the city. So why do you want out now? Did something happen that we all don't know about and that's why she wasn't on the show? I don't know. Yeah, I don't get it. She kept saying how fabulous it is here.
Speaker 3:I think it's been like six years she's been doing this show.
Speaker 1:Maybe she can do her talk show from her home in the country, wherever she wants to go. True, they could do it on location. Didn't that Rachel Ray do that in Italy, or something?
Speaker 3:I don't know. It's not going to be the same, though I mean no, because what guest will she have? Yeah, and I mean the Kelly Yoki. That's the best part in the beginning.
Speaker 1:I know, but I don't understand, like what happened? Yeah, I'm speculating that it's something to do with her.
Speaker 3:Something happened because she was missing from the show unexplained for like a couple weeks. I think that she's. I mean, it is a lot of work. Oh, of course we know that these daytime talk shows are like really grueling yeah, and she probably is missing out a lot on her kids.
Speaker 1:Plus she sings every show, so she has to rehearse, get the arrangement together, practice all that. That's extra work for every episode.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I don't know. I mean I'm assuming she'll probably be okay, like maybe she doesn't really have to do it, she wants to take time off.
Speaker 1:Oh, she doesn't have to do it, I know, but she said how wonderful it was to be here in New York and raising her kids here.
Speaker 3:Yeah, she honestly is like the best I feel daytime talk show host.
Speaker 1:I agree.
Speaker 3:Like she's great at it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, she's really good at it. It's just natural and normal. Like I don't watch any of those others. What is it, drew? And?
Speaker 3:Yeah, I mean I don't really watch Kelly Clarkson's either, but if I ever see, if it's ever on for some reason and I'm home, I will watch. I will you know, watch it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I like to find on like social media, like her, the karaoke thing she does each day or something like that. I'll look things up like that, so I don't know it will be missed.
Speaker 3:It is a problem for NBC, yeah because I don't know who would replace this. They had the.
Speaker 1:Hoda problem, and now it's Jenna and Friends which I would like to see the ratings on that. I'm very curious On Jenna and Friends yeah, would like to see the ratings on that. I'm very curious on jenna and friends. Yeah, yeah, I'm very curious because I don't think it's the ratings they had with hoda and jenna so they had that big impact and now they're gonna have this, so they, so they're probably like we'll pay you a gazillion dollars to keep doing the show.
Speaker 1:But, like you said, for her it's not about the money, but it was about it when she came here, because she couldn't wait to relocate to New York.
Speaker 3:She hated California, yeah well also it was because I don't blame her, but yeah, yeah, the divorce and this and that and it was a lot.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Anyway, kelly. I just want you to be happy, Kelly.
Speaker 1:Yeah, don't leave the show. That'll keep everyone happy.
Speaker 3:No, I want her to be happy.
Speaker 1:Okay, I think she is, I don't know who knows, I don't know. We'll find out. Yeah, good luck, kelly, that's all yeah good luck.
Speaker 3:Nbc is what I really am going to say because, that's a huge problem so another story that happened the day after our show. Of course, we had to wait the whole week. We had to wait the whole week. But um the controversy with morgan wallen walking off snl oh yes, oh boy well, I have a little update on it because is this, this pr?
Speaker 1:spin or is this the real?
Speaker 3:no, no, this is the real. What's happening for real?
Speaker 1:okay, go or yeah.
Speaker 3:so morgan wallen is cashing in on the SNL drama after walking off stage, skipping after party to go to God's country. So Morgan Wallen is now capitalizing off his controversial SNL appearance. How the singer caused a stir over the weekend. After abruptly walking off the stage, the second, mikey Madison, finished her closing remarks on the sketch series Wallen skipped the after party and posted a photo of him boarding his private jet, which he captioned get me to God's country, which many interpreted as shade towards the show. Although the last night singer has not directly addressed the situation, fans noticed he launched a new apparel line referencing the drama.
Speaker 1:Oh boy, he's smart, so he did this on purpose, I think.
Speaker 3:The musician released Get Me to God's Country merchandise on Monday. That's what happened. This week. He's released hats and T-shirts, each retailing for $45, with the phrase Get Me to God's Country.
Speaker 1:So okay, here's the thing though.
Speaker 3:If you watched it. Oh wait, you want me to keep going.
Speaker 1:Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 3:Okay, he performed two songs from his upcoming fourth studio album that comes out in May. Typically, the stars stick around to celebrate the successful show with the cast members as the credits roll, but that wasn't the case for his time around and he walked off, walking into the camera and viewers even the SNL cast members were shocked that Wallen couldn't wait just a few more minutes before leaving. And yeah, that's basically it. Kenan Thompson said a couple things to Entertainment Weekly about it, but basically they just didn't understand what was going on.
Speaker 1:Okay. But here's the thing. Regular people who watched it were like wait, what that happened? It wasn't that noticeable, but I think they blew it up and made it something when he posted that on his Instagram. And then it was like all of a sudden, you're seeing these slow-mo videos of him walking. I think he thought it was done, but he just got lucky and can capitalize on this. Well, I'm not, I don't know him, I don't, I'm not taking sides.
Speaker 3:I don't think that, because it's a tradition to stand there while the credits roll.
Speaker 1:He's a country singer. He doesn't know.
Speaker 3:No, he's been on it.
Speaker 1:Oh, did you know that I thought he was going to be on it, but he didn't do it. That was one time.
Speaker 3:No, he was on it before one other time, so it's not like he doesn't know the tradition.
Speaker 1:He was going to be on it one time and didn't do it too also, so she had said goodnight, everything else, thank you to Morgan, thank you, thank you. And then she was done and she just turned around, gave everyone. You know, everybody was saying cheering, celebrating, but you could easily have thought it was done, even if they didn't say cut. But I don't know. You think he did this on purpose.
Speaker 2:I mean, it is a long week.
Speaker 1:I understand not going to the party.
Speaker 3:Also apparently during the week. They wanted him to be in the prerecorded sketch, and he refused and said no, and so Joe Jonas had to step in at the last moment.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 3:I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1:I don't know, maybe he doesn't like the jokes An insider says that he was not super friendly on set.
Speaker 2:Well I believe that that's fine. Well, he probably.
Speaker 3:Yeah, he's. I mean, I don't think he has a reputation of being super friendly. No, he has a reputation of being kind of. You know, a jerk, yeah, but I mean whatever.
Speaker 1:You know that when he's coming on the show, you know he's not the outgoing friendly person that's going to be like Hi, everybody. Like you know that.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I think he was just that's his personality, Just that's him, and he was done.
Speaker 1:And she said good night and turned around and he said, okay, peace out. Yeah, I feel like people are making it like more of yes, a bigger deal than it should have been. Because, yeah, I'm telling you, I know people who are like what that happened and they watch the show every week faithfully. So it's kind of like they decided SNL's getting a lot of publicity out of this. They decided to capitalize on that little thing but, honestly, it wasn't noticeable apparently, until they made it noticeable. They made it like a big thing, yes, and now?
Speaker 3:he's a smart one making out. I don't really think, like everyone knows, like Morgan Wall wallen his beliefs and where like everything, and I don't really think that they align really with snl cast. So it probably was not, like it's not a great fit, so I don't know why he even did it so I yeah, or I mean he probably just did it for the reasons to do it, but then was like I'm out of here yeah, I put in my time, I did what I had to.
Speaker 1:Okay, good, give me out. I'm not going to this party. I don't like to socialize with these people. I get it when you're done, you're done yeah. I get it. He did his job. He said good night. Everybody was celebrating clapping. He said, okay, good, I'm good to go yeah, do I think it's respectful celebrating clapping he said okay, good, I'm good to go. Yeah, do I think it's respectful.
Speaker 3:No, no, it's. Uh, it is odd, it's kind of a jerk move, but yeah, he is who he is yeah, exactly, and you know what good for him make money on that the merch.
Speaker 1:The merch cracks me up, honestly I would like to learn to be that kind of jerk personality and make money on that.
Speaker 3:No, you don't Belle.
Speaker 1:Just joking. But yeah, good for him. Capitalize on that. Where is God's country, by the way? I?
Speaker 3:don't know. That's what everyone is asking. Just curious when is God's country? Yeah, what's he?
Speaker 1:referring to when is God's country. That's hilarious.
Speaker 2:I can't.
Speaker 1:I don't know, maybe we all want to go there if we find out where it is. I don't know. Show us a map, please. Yeah, so we'll see what happens this week on SNL, I guess.
Speaker 3:Mm-hmm. Yeah, okay, next story.
Speaker 1:Next story.
Speaker 3:Okay, disney pushes pause on live-action Tangled movie. Following the underwhelming box office performance by Snow White, disney is now pumping the brakes on another live-action adaption of an animated classic. Sources confirmed a deadline that pre-production on the studio's Tangled live-action movie has been halted. Based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Rapunzel, that film had been in development with Michael Gracie on board to direct. The original 2010 pick followed the magically long-haired Rapunzel, who had spent her entire life in a tower.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that was a good movie.
Speaker 3:Yeah, Tangled Really good.
Speaker 1:But they would ruin it, just like they ruined Snow White.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I think this is really good to pause, because I don't think any no one wants these movies.
Speaker 1:Well, the problem is you want it, but you want it as it should be.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and they keep like Ruining things yeah.
Speaker 1:Like don't try to be creative, like, leave it be. That's why it was successful on its own. It's like changing the Lion King and putting him on the beaches, like the Caribbean beaches, or something you can't change that.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they did the live action Lion King. I don't think it did very well. It did okay.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but they didn't try to change it this thing changed it.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I feel like there's not really any live action Disney movies that I like, except Beauty and the Beast was okay, like I thought it was nice.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but it wasn't like amazing, like none of them, no, but these they destroyed. This one was just apparently a hot mess Like we tried to watch it. We couldn't.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and like the other ones, like Aladdin, that one was terrible, terrible, like just leave things.
Speaker 1:I get it. You want to make it with real people, but it's got to be the same thing.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:That's why people like it, not because you're changing the classics Exactly, yeah.
Speaker 3:That's why people like it, not because you're changing the classics Exactly.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:So it's good that they put it on halt.
Speaker 1:I totally agree, because that could have been very frightening.
Speaker 3:Tangled Oof.
Speaker 1:Could have been bad, could have been really bad. Who knows who they would have cast in all the roles.
Speaker 3:They're probably going to go through with it. You think when At some point? But right now they're on hold.
Speaker 1:Yeah, very wise.
Speaker 3:They also lost probably like millions of dollars, billions of dollars, oh they lost so much on this movie. Yeah, what a mess, so much.
Speaker 1:What a hot mess. Who's offended, who's not offended? Yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:It's been nonstop.
Speaker 3:Okay, and now for some positive movie news. Woo-hoo. Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reunite for Freaky Friday sequel promo at CinemaCon. Yeah, so they reunited to promote their forthcoming Freaky Friday sequel. During an affectionate appearance at CinemaCon, the actresses who portrayed an on-screen mother and daughter wrapped their arms around each other. While speaking to the audience at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace on Thursday, we can't begin to tell you how amazing it's been to be back in Anna and Tessa's shoes, lohan said, referring to her and Curtis' characters respectively. They look so cute.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and also the you know the girls, her friends in the movie. They were there too.
Speaker 3:Oh serious, I think they're in the movie.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they are. It's going to be great.
Speaker 3:So Jamie Lee Curtis.
Speaker 1:Look, tink, they're not messing with the movie, they're just making another one.
Speaker 3:Well, we don't know about that. Well, if everyone's back in it, I'm assuming I hope, yeah, they teased that the disney sequel is freakier than the original 2003 movie, which saw her swap bodies with lohan, who played her teenage daughter yeah, because apparently a bunch of people swap or something crazy.
Speaker 1:I don.
Speaker 3:Yeah, the star shared that fans will see her like never before, thanks to a very aggressive teenage makeover. This time we have double the swaps, she revealed.
Speaker 1:See double the swaps. I was right.
Speaker 3:What does that mean?
Speaker 1:Apparently there's. I don't know someone else gets swapped. I don't know, but I hope it.
Speaker 3:I don't know, but I hope.
Speaker 1:It's like a bunch of swaps and then it's like chaos.
Speaker 3:Oh gosh.
Speaker 1:It's really Freaky Friday.
Speaker 3:I just hope that. I mean, we'll see.
Speaker 1:I hope it comes out on a Friday. It has to.
Speaker 3:Friday Friday yeah, I hope that this movie is good.
Speaker 1:I have total faith in this movie.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:I just do. I don't know why and like Lindsay Lohan, movies have not been great, but I've watched them. I've enjoyed them Better than other stuff out there, so I'm going with great on this. I did like the Christmas one that nobody liked.
Speaker 3:I know I like all the Lindsay movies. Yeah, no, but this is different. This is like a studio movie. This is probably going to be in theaters.
Speaker 1:This isn't going on Netflix. That's why I say better.
Speaker 3:Wait, is this movie going to Disney Plus or is?
Speaker 1:it going to be in theaters? No, I think it's in theaters. Okay, yeah, theaters.
Speaker 3:I don't know. It doesn't say yeah, I believe it's, a big screen release yeah, which like it's so crazy. Like movies in theaters now. Yeah, because so many come out, people are not really going.
Speaker 1:What is that one? We started watching Sabrina, not Sabrina Carpenter. We started watching something about the list, the list of things she has to do. Yeah, like these movies are popping up everywhere so fast.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, what is that called the letter? No Tasks or something. The last list.
Speaker 3:Yeah, something like that. I don't know something like that.
Speaker 1:With Dove Cameron.
Speaker 3:I wasn't really into it. No, no, not. Dove Cameron, which is it, the other one, not Victoria Justice.
Speaker 1:No, it's her.
Speaker 3:It's the other one.
Speaker 1:I don't know. Anyway, we started watching it on Netflix. It's on pause, we can go back when we need to.
Speaker 3:It's okay, I really have no desire.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but they pop up everywhere. That's what I'm saying. So many movies come out each day Because there's so many streaming platforms. Now it's crazy, yeah, so I'm excited this one will be in the real theaters yeah, okay, next story also about a streaming show about the white lotus oh, we don't watch that yeah, we haven't watched this season, but the white lotus staffer I think it's a little much for me. What do you think, Tink? It's a little much for me.
Speaker 3:It's a little much. And what I've heard about the season, it's a little much.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a little too R for me. I don't know I'm a young PG pup.
Speaker 3:I'll go PG-13.
Speaker 1:But some of these R's are not good for me.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's just, it's very interesting, but anyway, the White Lotus staffer abruptly quits show over hysterical fights with creator Mike White and producers.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was a mess on that set. Apparently it was oh yes, go ahead keep going.
Speaker 3:What have?
Speaker 1:you heard oh well, on that set. Apparently it was oh yes, go ahead.
Speaker 3:What have you?
Speaker 1:heard oh well, tink. Apparently people who have been part of the projects for years are jumping ship now after this one because they can't take it anymore. It was, they said, in Thailand, because they shot on location. It was like fighting nonstopstop. Who didn't like who, who was disagreeing with who? It was, where did you?
Speaker 3:hear that this is not even what the story is okay well, this is about the writer of the song, like the intro song.
Speaker 3:yeah, the composer okay, um, his name's cristobal tapia devir is cutting his stay at the White Lotus short. The composer behind HBO dramedy's widely praised score has quit ahead of the show's fourth season and that the third season is, for sure, his last. Tapia Devere explained that his sudden departure is due to alleged creative disagreements between himself and White Lotus creator Mike White. The composer further claimed that his conversations with producers of the show sometimes became hysterical.
Speaker 3:I told you and everybody witnessed this yes, I feel like this was a rock and roll band story. I was like, ok, this is like a rock band I've been in before where the guitar player doesn't understand the singer at all. He, tapia Devere, who has won three Emmy Awards for his work on the White Lotus, claimed that creative disputes between himself and White began as early as season one. Tapia Devere told the New York Times that the show's creative team allegedly requested music that was more upbeat and less experimental than the work he wanted to produce. He claimed he even had to fight for the edgy and weird theme song fans have come to love after disagreeing with white's request for a chill, sexy vibe. So basically that's about it. Yeah, he's done, and it's.
Speaker 1:A lot of people are apparently um yeah, it's so crazy, though, because it caused chaos in thailand.
Speaker 3:Apparently in Thailand, apparently, but apparently all the music like. Apparently they didn't like the music.
Speaker 1:I don't even pay attention to the music, do you Well?
Speaker 3:the opening song for season one and season two was like very viral on. Tiktok Like people loved it. Yes, you remember it was like yeah, those crazy animal sounds yeah. It was great. It was great and people like really loved it, but apparently like that's not what they wanted, like he had to fight for that yeah, I don't and yeah, and then apparently now, because they changed it in season three, the intro is different.
Speaker 1:People were crazy upset mad, because if they were Lotus fans, now you change them.
Speaker 3:They're not going to be happy.
Speaker 1:You cannot do that.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you can't like change the intro song.
Speaker 1:That's history tradition.
Speaker 3:And then apparently the and they like those weird.
Speaker 1:Do that again. Ting, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. They like those sounds.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and then, apparently because there was such an uproar, he wanted to. He was like let's release the song, the, with the yeah, um, the newer, like the version that he had to begin with, so that it makes people happy. Yeah, but then they were like no no, they.
Speaker 1:It's a lot of um. I think all of the success of the past seasons has gotten to people's heads and causes extra drama I know it's like it was such a. It was such like on a high and now it's like going down all of those all good things must come to an end, because people are crazy, and that is how it goes.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Like if something is going right, you don't change it. To me, I think yeah, it's like Snow White. Why did you change it? It was a classic.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I don't know why they had to change the intro song people think they're being creative.
Speaker 1:I guess, I don't know anyway.
Speaker 3:Anyway, those are my stories for the week excellent, excellent gossip I hope you enjoyed the gossip I did, and that was a lot of stories actually yeah I'll I'll go.
Speaker 1:I've got three for the pups we did five Wow. Wow, I got three.
Speaker 3:So Okay, let's hit it On to pup culture.
Speaker 1:Here we go. Vermont shelter saves two dogs and a cat found wandering the streets together in a real life, homeward bound rescue Like the movie. Yeah, where all the animals are friends. Yeah, real-life, homeward-bound rescue Like the movie.
Speaker 1:Yeah, where all the animals are friends, yeah, and they wander. An animal shelter in Vermont has dubbed its latest group of rescue animals the real-life version of homeward-bound trio Two dogs and a cat just found a forever home. Shared on Facebook, the Central Vermont Humane Society, located in East Montpelier, detailed how rescuers found the two dogs and one cat wandering the streets together. Are you one of the many people who loved the movie Homeward Bound, original or remake? The shelter began their heartfelt post referring to the 93 Disney film and the 96 sequel that follows three pets Dogs, Chance and Shadow, and the Sassy Cat as they embark on a thrilling adventure to return to their family after getting separated from the group.
Speaker 1:Well, meet our happy little trio who remind us of that story of endurance and commitment to friends. The shelter continued. Look, this is them oh yeah, that's completely true I love it.
Speaker 3:That's not from the movie. That's them for real that? That looks like the movie that's it. Yeah, here's one, I'll show you, here's two big guys and look at okay, excellent anyway. At first I was like wait, that shot looks like the movie yeah and so uh.
Speaker 1:According to the organization, the three animals, now named river, rain and reed, were found loose in the street together to rescue as a trio appeared closely bonded. They were found together as strays. The shelter wrote on Facebook that the three animals have received thorough veterinary and checkups and treatments to address minor health issues. They look pretty good. To me. Their skin has improved dramatically. When you look at the pictures from when we got her till now, you see the growth. When we got her till now, you see the growth. Once the animals left the vet and moved into the shelter, they were split up while there, as cats aren't housed in the dog boarding area. They said Reed, the black male cat, struggled in being separated from his friends and wasn't interested in the company of other cats or humans. Oh see, while River and Rain came out of their shells quickly, reed the cat remained shy, didn't want to interact with us or any other cats, until we brought River and Rain to his colony room to visit. Then he lit up like a happy boy. Then he lit up like a happy boy. The three of them shared bonks, muzzle rubs, purrs and cuddling. Look how cute. Shortly after the pet trio, the couple contacted the Central Humane Society and expressed interest in adopting all three. So all three got adopted together. That's really cool, because they knew they couldn't break them up, especially because the cat was so reliant. Such a nice story. Okay.
Speaker 1:Next story Golden Retriever senses something is wrong. Finds missing toddler. Seconds later A golden retriever named Zoe is a hero doggie. Brad Shofro's dog, zoe never barks, so when she began causing a ruckus while staring out the front window of their Lebanon, tennessee house, he thought he might be getting robbed. He told the Washington Post, but then he noticed a child no older than three wandering up his neighbor's driveway alone. Notice, a child no older than three wandering up his neighbor's driveway alone. He sprung into action and approached his neighbor about the child, who said he didn't know about the boy. Another neighbor also didn't know who the toddler was. After trying to talk to the boy, the neighbors brought the boy up and down the street asking around while chauffeur called 911. The operator asked for his location and a description of the child's clothing. I hear her yell across the room. They found him. Chauffeur recalled to the post. Officers arrived on the scene less than a minute later. According to the police department, the missing boy's parents reported him missing five minutes before the 911 call came in. Somehow the child managed to disappear from the house and travel about 175 yards. So, needless to say, once again, this hero doggie, if he didn't start barking, nobody would have seen this little boy wandering the streets.
Speaker 1:So, puppy to the rescue. I think it's pretty good. What do you think, tink? I think it's very good, very nice. And last and final story Terrified dog saved by rescue workers after falling 100 feet into the remote canyon Canyon. Sorry, cannon Canyon, sorry, canyon Canyon. One very lucky dog and her owner have a lot to celebrate after a visit to a national park site almost ended in tragedy but ultimately resulted in rescue. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office and Mesa County Search and Rescue shared a remarkable story on Instagram about how a dog survived a 100-foot fall into a canyon at the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, colorado, and suffered no serious injuries. It's always happening in Colorado. I know this just happened yesterday, by the way. Okay, according to the sheriff's office, the dog and her owner were visiting the monument from out of town. That's like us at the Grand Canyon. Look at that, tink, see.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it could have happened to us, but it wouldn't. They pulled over to appreciate the view inside of the sprawling park, which covers expanses of barren desert high on the Colorado Plateau. However, when the owner opened the car door, the dog was so excited she ran out without realizing she was approaching a sheer drop. The office said she found herself falling 100 feet off the ledge before landing on a shelf. The ledge, oh my gosh. Before landing on a shelf.
Speaker 1:The sheriff's office attempted to rescue her without a dog catching pole, but she was too far down for the device to reach her. That's where mesa county search and rescue non-profit group stepped in with one of their rope teams to assist. Look at her down there. The team was able to successfully get the dog safely riding that her and her owner expressed immense and relief and joy upon being reunited with the pup. As for the pup, she appeared happy and in good spirits following the ordeal. Look, that's how they had to go down there and rescue her Whoa. She was taken to a vet where she was fine. She had minor scrapes and bumps, but she is fine now and they are reunited and that could have been a really bad situation.
Speaker 3:That's the most crazy story ever. Yes, I definitely would not survive that.
Speaker 1:No, I don't know. I mean that's a far fall. We're kind of small to hit that far. Yeah, that's, she's not that big, but she's much bigger than us, much bigger than us, yeah. So all three good stories for pop culture for this week. I liked it. That was a lot, alright, we're wrapping it up. I guess it. That was a lot, all right, we're wrapping it up.
