Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book; and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Deuteronomy 4:1, 2--Revelation 22:18, 19

David, and I'd like to welcome you to the Word of God by the branch of the Lord. I apologize for getting started a few minutes late tonight if you're following us on Facebook Live. But we are in the book of Psalms on Monday night, and we are in chapter uh 63. So we're going to pray. Uh, and after we go into prayer, we'll read Psalm 63, and then we'll go back and uh do what God has instructed us to do by searching the scriptures. Precious Father God, we thank you, God, for every opportunity that you give us to go into your holy words, God. For God, thou hast written that the first principles is that we be taught thy holy oracles, God. So, God, as we go into thy word this night, Lord, please open our eyes and our ears of understanding. And God, we praise you. We praise you for your words of truth to have a successful life. God, we praise you for your words of truth, Lord, so that we cannot be deceived by the devil anymore, Lord. And we praise you, God, for your words of truth, Lord, for they are life, Lord, and they are spiritual. Amen and amen. Thank you, God. Hallelujah. Thank you, God. God is uh He's a wonderful God, I'm gonna tell you, God, uh the true and living Almighty God. There be many gods with a little G and a little S, but they have no power and they don't care for the people. But God with an uppercase G O D, he loves his people. Psalm 63. Uh the heading reads, and I read out of the King James Version Bible because uh God has said not to add to or take away from this book. So that's the book that I read out of. Uh Psalm 63. And the heading reads a Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God, early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is, to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live, I will lift up my head hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness. My mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips. When I remember thee upon my bed and meditate on thee in the night watches, because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth heart after thee, thy right hand upholdeth me, but those that seek my soul to destroy it shall go into the lower parts of the earth, they shall fall by the sword, they shall be a portion for foxes. But the king shall rejoice in God, everyone that sweareth by him shall glory, but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. I love God's words, and I'm gonna tell you something. God said that his word would not go out and come back void, but it would accomplish that which he pleases. So when God speaks a word and he says it, you can be assured that it will come to pass. So uh now remember this. Uh 1 Corinthians 15, 46. I'm gonna turn over there so that we can read it and you turn over there with me uh because we want to know exactly what the Lord is saying here. 1 Corinthians 15 and we want to make sure we're in the right uh scripture as well. 1 Corinthians 15 46. It said it reads, let me turn my page here. Sorry, my page is trying to all right. It said it reads, howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural, and then afterward that which is spiritual. Uh St. John 4.24 reads that God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. And then uh Romans 7.14 reads, the law is spiritual. So we have always been taught the words of God after a carnal-minded fashion. And that's what it means where uh where it's written, they have all sinned and come short of God's glory. All right. Uh, but God is a spirit, so his word is spiritual. God is a spirit, he wrote the word with his finger. You can find this written in many places where God wrote the book, the book of life. Uh even Moses said that. And so the the book is spiritual. Now we know that when we look at it, we are American, and most of us uh as Americans speak English. That is uh uh uh the the, I guess, the biggest language here. Uh and so when we are looking at uh the language here in the scriptures, uh it was trans it was transcribed by King James and his administration from Greek, Hebrew, and Latin to English. So that's how we know. It's like when we see it, we see the natural part of our language when we read it. But it's spiritual. So uh we go from the the natural part of seeing things, and the carnal part is when you allow flesh and thoughts and opinions to enter in. Uh, flesh and carnal mind is when men take the word of God and say, Well, I can tell you what that means, and they write books about it, and they put their name on the front because God said he would not give his glory to no man, and we'll read about that tonight. Uh so now keep in mind, remember this: God is the spirit. They that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The law is spiritual. And uh also uh when we go into the scriptures, Jesus instructs us to search the scriptures. That's John 5.39. So listen at these scriptures. Please write these things down. I want you to go back in and read them. Uh in Isaiah 34, 16, it brings out, it says, Seek ye out of the book of the Lord. Now remember, don't add to or take away from this book. And man has lied to the people and told them, Oh, it's okay, you can read this book and you will not die. Didn't Satan tell Adam and Eve that? God had given a commandment. He said in Deuteronomy 4, verses 1 and 2, do not add to or take away from the words of this book. Bible, meaning the book of life. Spiritual. It's a spiritual book. All right, and then Romans, uh, excuse me, not Romans, but Revelation 22, 18 and 19, he's he brings it out again. So from the first to the last, God is bringing out that we don't go from this book. All right? That's what's wrong with the people today. When you look out in the land, people want to say, well, the devil did this and the devil did that. Well, the devil truly did because he drew you away from the book of life and what God has spoken. And you will not be able to know what God has spoken if you don't ask God for the spirit of truth. So uh so then knowing that the Bible is spiritual, God is the spirit, the law is spiritual, and remember what Jesus told Nicodemus in John chapter 3. He said, Except ye be born of the water and the spirit, ye shall not, you shall not see the kingdom of God or enter into the kingdom of God. So we want to be able to see the words of God by the Spirit. Uh and and I'll say remember this. Jesus said, He is the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. And in Revelation 19, 13, and his name is called the Word of God. See, that's what the Holy Ghost does. If you get the word of God in you by the Holy Ghost, then at the time that it's needed, he pulls it back out of you because it's written in your heart and in your mind. And nobody can ever turn you away from what God has spoken. So then you see just in these few minutes here how God brought a bunch of these scriptures together. And uh, these scriptures being brought together is for our benefit and our growth. So uh please follow along. Uh, listen to what Jesus is saying. Please don't be like, well, I love you, Jesus, but I don't have time for your word. We've got to make time for God's word. That's how he teaches us things. So the next part is we're gonna listen to Jesus because I love Jesus. We say we love him. Let's listen to what he told us. He said, search the scriptures. So listen here at uh uh we're back in Psalm 63. And uh I'm gonna turn back over there because I had turned over to 1 Corinthians. Now listen, uh, remember the headings are very important. A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. You can read in Psalm 60, verse 7, that Judah is his lawgivers. Uh man has their laws, but God has his laws. And see, we know a lot of man's laws. We don't know them all, but we know a lot of man's laws. And we uh uh if we're trying to be a good person, we follow man's laws. But what about God's laws? If we go in and look and see what God's laws are, all right? So verse one, we're gonna read it, but we're gonna break it down. We're gonna search the scriptures. It says, O God, thou art my God. Early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is. Now look out in the land. You may say, I have plenty of water. Some have tap water, some have filtered water, some have bottled water, but we're talking about a spiritual water. And what is that water? Well, let's search the scriptures. Let's go in and see what thus saith the scripture. Verse uh uh let's look at Jeremiah 2.13. Now, before we start going into uh the scriptures here, if you would like a copy of tonight's lesson, all you have to do is send me a message on Messenger if we're friends on Facebook and say, hey, I'd like a copy of those scriptures uh that you had. If you're listening on Spotify and Deezer and iHeartRadio, as 85 uh countries are, uh all you have to do is email us at Jesus the Christ Newsletter at Yahoo.com and ask for a copy of uh either the monthly newsletter or the scriptures and it'll be sent to you free. You won't get a bunch of uh spam. That's what you ask for is what you will get. Jeremiah 2 13, for my people have committed two evils. Now, who is his people? If you say I'm a Christian and I love God, then you're saying that you're his people. So he says, for my people, he's not talking about everybody else in the world. He said, My people have committed two evils. They have forsaken me the fountain of living waters. What is the fountain of living waters? Well, we're reading right out of it tonight. And the people have forsaken that and they've looked unto other things. And people say, Well, I wonder what this means. Let me go over here and find out what this means. Well, I read this in the scriptures the other day, but I don't understand it. So I'm gonna go over here and buy this book and find out what this means. But I want you to understand something. Jesus wants us to receive the Holy Ghost, that's John 20, verse 22, to teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance. And it's free. You don't have to spend money in your uh to put gas in your car to go up to the bookstore to spend another$60 to buy a book that a man wrote to tell you what God will tell you. Now that's how the devil has really uh captivated the people and lied to the people. Now, remember, every sin will be forgiven a person except for blaspheming the Holy Ghost. What do you think the books of men are doing? Because they're telling you, well, you don't have to listen to the Holy Ghost. You can come by my book and I will tell you what God meant. And they're man, they're flesh, they're not holy men. There's a difference. There's a difference in a man and a holy man. Please, uh, please take heed to this. And you know, don't take my word for it. I tell people that all the time. You can search it out just like I did. I said, God, I want to know what the truth is. I'm tired of hearing all these things. And he took me back to his word. Now remember uh Isaiah 34, 16 again. It says, seek ye out of the book of the Lord and read, not man's books. And then it also brings uh back uh there in uh uh John uh uh excuse me, St. John 539, where we were reading that where he says, search the scriptures. The scriptures are the script of God, the written words of God. And then he says in 2 Timothy 2.15, to study to show ourselves approved unto God. A workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. You will never ever, listen at this closely, please. You will never ever be able to rightly divide God's word by looking at the books of man. God did not give them the authority to write what they wrote. And if he did, he will tell you. He will tell you. And a lot of people want to say, well, the Bible was written by men, but no, the Bible was written by God in holy men as he moved upon them to write. Read the scriptures. That's what the scripture says. And God is a God of truth. God is not a man that he should lie. So choose you this day who you will choose who you will listen to. Are you gonna listen to man who says that man wrote book? Are you gonna listen to God who says he wrote it? So the people of God have for they have committed two evils, they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, the word of God, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. So if uh if you pour, I know we've all experienced this. We had uh get a cup, uh, a drink. Uh it happened to me last week. I got a cup from a restaurant with a drink, a to-go cup, and it was ice water, but it started leaking before I could even get out the door. So it was a broken cup. A broken cup cannot hold water. A broken person cannot hold the word of God. You have to be made whole. And how that takes place is you repent and ask God to forgive you, and forgive you of what? What did I do? Well, you transgressed his law because you went looking unto the books of men when God has told us to go back to his word. It's not a hard thing to do, brothers and sisters. It's one of the easiest things to do, to get the Bible and sit down and say, God, show me. God, you show me. I don't want to hear what nobody else has got to say. And you may say, well, I'm listening to you, but remember, I'm not telling you things that I think. I'm taking you back to his word. Because that's what he did. He took me back to his word. And I am not telling you anything that I do not have to do myself. I have to go in and search the scriptures. And how that happens is God wakes me a lot of times, uh, three o'clock in the morning, four o'clock in the morning. And of course, uh, I'll pray and I say, God, uh, you know, is there something you're trying to show me? And he will tell me, and of course, I'll turn over long enough to put it in my phone because I've learned if I don't, I'll forget it. And so I'll put it in my phone and then I'll, you know, I'll finish praying and I go back to sleep. Uh and throughout the day, God, you might be at work, you may be in school, but something from God's word will come to your heart and mind. Don't think to yourself, well, that was cute. No. When you get a chance, go home and search it out. Go home. There is a lab on uh last month we had a lab uh because here in Coates, in the town of Coates, uh, the Lord blesses us to have a community Bible study. We'll have one tomorrow night, as a matter of fact, at 6:45, and it'll go to 8. And uh uh it'll be about the parable of the sower, but it will be also Facebook Live. So uh when we get together, we search the scriptures. And last month we had a class where we had a lab to show how to search the scriptures because a lot of people don't know. I didn't know uh what it meant. I didn't know what it meant to go on the strongest concordance and look up words out of the Bible to get other scriptures to see what God meant. Because you cannot just read uh uh like us reading 63, Psalm 63, verses 1, uh scriptures 1 through 11, and then say, well, that was a nice reading to close the Bible. We want to grow in God. Okay, we want to grow, and that means uh we grow in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of God. So uh listen now. We read there in Jeremiah 2.13 uh how that God's people have committed two evils. They have forsaken him the fountain of living waters, and they hewed them out cisterns, which means they set uh those over them to teach them that didn't even have to water the word of God. Jeremiah 17, 13, O Lord, the hope of Israel. We're not talking about the Israel of May of 1948, but we're talking about the one in Genesis 32, 28, God's chosen nation. It said, All that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters. Now remember back in uh uh Isaiah here in 63, verse 1, it says, Uh, My flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is. People are constantly using the name Jesus and calling out to God. They go into the synagogues on Sunday, but I'm gonna tell you something, the building without the Spirit of God is just a building. A body without the spirit of God is just a body. We won't uh we have to go back to St. John chapter 3, where Jesus told Nicodemus, and he's telling us the same thing because he has no respect for persons, he said, You must be born again. What does that mean? By the water and the spirit. Now, if we say we love Jesus, he said, If you love me, keep my commandments, did he not? Well, I love you, Jesus, but I don't want to do it that way. Well, then you don't really love him. So we if we love him, we're gonna do it the way he's called for us to do it. Ephesians 5 26, it says that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. And uh Jesus also said in another place, he said, uh, ye are clean through the words which I have spoken unto you. Keep that in mind. He's talking about being clean on the inside, not zestfully clean. He's talking about clean on the inside, washing out all those works of the flesh, the envy, the strife, the jealousy, the gossip, and the hatred, all these things. He washes it out with his word. And his word, remember, his banner over me is love. Love conquers all. Love will cast out hate. So when you see hate, you show love. Well, that's a hard thing to do. Sometimes it may seem a little difficult, but also remember this. God said, Love your enemies. He didn't tell you to go up and kiss them in the mouth. That's not what God said. He said, Love your enemies. Uh Jesus loved us, he laid down his life for us. And in uh 1 John there he says, uh, to love your brother, you lay down your life for the brethren. And what that means is you put yourself to decide some time a day, every day, to be taught of God. Because there are scriptures that say, Give us this day our daily bread. Jesus said, I am the bread of life. Uh there's another one uh in Acts, they're talking about daily searching the scriptures. And if we don't eat food daily, we get sick. It's the same spiritual. Uh if we didn't bathe every day, we'd start to stink. It's the same spiritually. So if you don't bathe, if you don't get in that word of God every day and learn something, then that flesh comes back on you. And flesh stinks. Alright? This is spiritual. That's what it means to be spiritual. You take it from a carnal thought, and then you look at it naturally, but then you look at what God is saying, and God gives the increase there in 1 Corinthians 3. He gives the increase, so then that's the spiritual part of what he's saying. Alright? Uh John 4, 14, but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst. But the water that I shall give him, listen at this now, put your name there. Take it personal, because God is talking to you. God is talking to me. He is talking to whoever is reading his word. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst. But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 6 35. That part about thirsting, uh uh we need to understand. Look at it naturally first. God takes the things of the natural to bring forth the spiritual understanding. So uh all of us have experienced being thirsty. Some maybe more than others. Uh maybe we were running, maybe our mouth got dry. I've I've been so thirsty at points in my life where my throat seemed like it was gonna close on me. Um and I'm sure people that live in a hotter uh climate, they they would probably be more thirsty than us that don't live in a hotter climate. But the body needs water. Uh six to eight ounce glasses a day. The body needs water for it to function properly for everything to move. All right. So you take a person who is dehydrated, that means they're lacking water, uh, they begin to get um headaches. Some people will just feel uh. But I'm gonna tell you the end result of not fixing that dehydration is death. And uh, I didn't know this, but years ago, my son, well, we all had the flu, we had a bad flu in our household, and I was given. My son Gatorade and Kool-Aid. I was trying to keep him replenished. Not thinking about what's wrong with water. I just wanted him to drink. And I figured if he would, at least if he would drink that, he would be stay. Well, he we had to take him to the hospital. And of course, they had to hook him up to an IV and they told me he's dehydrated. And I said, Well, I've been giving him this and this. And she said, Oh, that's one of the worst things you can do, is uh like Gatorade and all that because it has sodium in it. And uh, so if you don't stay hydrated, you can die because your body is not getting the fluids that it needs to keep things moving. So think about that spiritually. If you don't get the water, the water of God, the word, first of all, how are you going to be cleansed? Because you're cleansed with the washing of water by the word. And then listen at that part there. It says, But the water that I shall give him shall be in him, in him, the word of God in you, a well of water springing up into everlasting life. So you can't get that water, that well of water springing up into everlasting life if you don't go into God's word. Now John 6, 35 reads, And Jesus said unto him, I am the bread of life. He that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. So that is to say you go into the Word of God every day, uh and God begins to open up the understanding unto you because uh Jesus said, He said, I will show them plainly of the Father. And uh remember uh once again you're clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. So God begins washing out the old you, the way you used to be, the way you used to talk, the way you used to act. You learn all that all over. You so because when you become a Christian, you walk differently, and I'm talking about your works. You talk differently, you don't speak the way you used to. You act better, you have more patience, you're more courteous toward people. Uh so what takes place is as you're being cleansed, you're taking on the whole armor of God. You're putting in the fruits of the spirit, which is written in Galatians 5, and you're losing the works of the flesh. So this is very important, okay? Now, in verse 2 back in Psalm 63, to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. So, what is power? People want to say, Well, I've got all this money and I've got houses and cars, and I can do what I want. I have power. But I'm gonna tell you something. You have some wealth, but God has the final say. So power. Acts 1, verse 8 reads, but ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the earth. So you don't have any power. No one has power until they receive the Holy Ghost. And what that power is, uh that power helps you uh overcome the things that you face every day, because you have the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of God. That's the power. The knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of God is that power to overcome the wicked one. Uh read Revelation chapters 2 and chapter 3. Uh, it will tell you about overcoming. And uh the only way anybody, anybody can overcome the things of the world is by the Holy Ghost. Because when the Holy Ghost uh is given unto you uh that free gift, when it's given unto you, and you begin going in and searching the scriptures every day, uh you begin to learn some things. And you begin to learn, hey, I didn't realize that was the devil trying to draw me away from what God was trying to do. And see, God is only with us for our good brothers and sisters. The devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy. God is here to raise you up and to love you and to show you a more excellent ministry through his son Jesus Christ. So God loves us. He loves us. People say, well, uh, you know, God ain't never done nothing for me. When I'm gonna tell you something, that is a lie. Because you are breathing and you are living, and if you have the breath in your mouth to say that, then you need to turn that around and say, God has done everything for me because I'm standing here and I can speak. So now at that point, God, I'm sorry. I didn't realize. And you have to repent. That means turn yourself from what you're doing and go back to your first love, which is God. The devil has lied. Well, you only live once. That's not what we just read. I just read that we receive everlasting life. That's what I just read. What about your children after you? Why do you think that this country, I can't speak for other countries, but the country that God blessed me to be in that I love greatly. But why do you think it is the way it is? Because the people have left their first love. What happened to Proverbs 22, verse 9? Train up a child in the way he shall go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The children nowadays are not being taught God. You talk to, they don't want to hear it. They don't even want to hear it. That's why the land is the way it is. Psalm 107, verse 20 says, He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction. So don't we want the word to get back out there into the land? How does he send his word in you? When you humble yourself before God and you allow God to begin to teach you the spiritual understanding of the things that he's teaching, and it takes time. It's not gonna happen like that. God is not a God of magic, he's a God of miracles. And he's not a microwave oven where you can push a button and ding out pops your request. And he's not a light switch that you can flip on and off when you need them. It is a lifelong commitment for anyone to say, God, I love you and I want to serve you till the day I die and I'm committed to you. I'm gonna be zealous with your business. I'm gonna be reliable, God. I'm gonna be dependable. Do we not do that with our natural jobs? Why can't we be dependable and reliable with God? We get up every morning and we either go to school or we go to work or we have something, we have some kind of mission. And we are dedicated to that thing. Because we know if we don't go to work, we don't get paid. We might get fired, we'll lose our job. We don't eat, you don't work, you don't eat. That's written. But what about God's word? What about what happens when you don't go to your father every day? Now, if somebody told me they love me and they never come and talk to me, I would start wondering about that thing. So we say we love him, let's show him. Don't don't just use your mouth, show him, show God. He shows you, you show him. And I told God, I said, God, you tell me all the time you love me, you show me, you give me your words, you give me understanding of your word, you bless me, you protect me, you keep me, Lord. And if there's not anything that I can't go to him for, uh, for casting all your care upon him, for he cared for you, and God does not hear it.
SPEAKER_01And I said, I want you to know, God, how much I love you.
SPEAKER_00We obey his voice, for to obey is better than sacrifice and all whole burnt offerings. You obey his voice. Well, I don't hear the voice of God. Well, then that means you're not opening the book of life and reading it, because that is the voice of God speaking to you. Haven't you ever wondered why people say, uh, we do it, I even do it. Uh well, look, it says verse one says this says the living words of God do speak to us. Now, Acts 10 38 concerning power, it says, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power. Listen now, who went about doing good, Jesus only was doing good, he was God's beloved Son. And healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. And if you repent and you ask God for his spirit, well, guess what? The Holy Ghost, that is the Spirit of God, so He's with you too. And he will not leave you nor forsake you. But many times we leave him because we want to go do our own thing. But that doesn't work in God's kingdom. You can't serve two masters, you have to make a choice. And uh, you know, I've done me in the past. I've lived the way I wanted to do and did this and did that, and I thought I was having a good life. But I'm gonna tell you something. Now that I praise God, when I was 28, I started getting serious because of something God, God came to me and He showed me something uh so profound that I could not deny that it was God. And he turned my whole life around. A whole complete 360. It's not that I was a bad person, but I was doing me. I didn't care about nobody else, it was me. But now uh uh you begin to love the people and you learn it's not about you anymore, but it's about God's people, it's about his kingdom, and you get compassion, you get the love of God in your heart. How can people love if they don't have God when God is love? I'm gonna say that again because somebody was taking a sip of their tea and missed it. How can anybody love if they don't have God in their heart who is love? Now uh the other part of that verse is talking about uh glory. It says, to see thy power and thy glory, that's in verse 2 of Psalm 63, so as I have seen in the sanctuary. So we're gonna look at glory and we're gonna look at sanctuary. Glory. 1 Thessalonians 1, verse 5 says, For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Ghost. That's what we were talking about earlier. We don't just look at Psalm 63 and read it and say, All right, good night, love you all. We're chewing this up, we're breaking it down, we're taking a journey through the scriptures and allowing God to show us right out of the book of life what he's saying. And we're asking God. And I want you to understand this where two or three are gathered together in his name, he is in the midst. So, and I want you to think about this. When I go back and I look at the classes that was recorded tonight, we're talking uh anywhere from three to five hundred people have watched and they've listened. That's the key. Listening. You can sit there and close your eyes, it wouldn't hurt my feelings not narrow bit. I want you to hear what God is saying. And then you go back in and you read it. That's the key. People have got to hear. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And so every day if you hear the word of God, your faith is increased. Why? Because you're beginning to learn what is true and what is not true. And you're beginning to learn, hey, that's not true. I'm gonna let go of that, but that is the truth, so I'm gonna hang on to that. So your faith is increased. So, for our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Ghost and in much assurance, as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. There's another scripture that brings out uh but demonstration in power in the in the spirit. Isaiah 42 verse scripture eight. I am the Lord, that is my name, and my glory will I got not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. So you see what God is saying? He's not gonna give his glory to another. Isaiah 48, verse 11, and let's go back to that glory. You are God's glory, and he's not gonna give you to another. He said, For you to come unto him. That's what God said. He's not gonna give his people away. He said, Come unto me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Go back to your first love, go back to the word of God. Come unto me. That's what he's saying. And John 1, verse 1, in the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God. So go back to your first love, the word of God, not the books of men. They lie to you. God is not a man that he should lie. And you can read about the book of life, the word of truth, the pure words of God. And the devil will come along and say, Well, you can't understand that. That's too hard for you to understand. Get a dictionary and look it up and let God show you what it means naturally, and then go into the strongest concordance and search the scriptures and read all the verses on it. We are in a time now and it's like everything's got to be just like that. And no, it doesn't. Take your time with the Lord as long as you're moving. Don't get don't become like a sluggard as long as you're going forward, but you don't have to rush. God, I don't understand this. Please show me what you're talking about. Isaiah 48, 11, for mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it? For how should my name be polluted? And I will not give my glory unto another. So uh just understand that. Now, sanctuary, uh, we look at the sanctuary, a lot of people call uh the place of the church uh where the actual words of exhortation take place, the sanctuary. Psalm 20 verse 2, it says, Send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion. It tells you what the sanctuary of God is, is Zion. And when you go back into uh uh I'm gonna turn over there, Isaiah 2 verse 3. We had a little bit of this lesson uh all along here in Psalm because you read about Zion a lot in Psalm. Uh but Isaiah 2 verse 3, and also it's in uh Micah chapter 4. It says, uh, and many people shall go and say, Come ye, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord. Remember this now, a mountain of the Lord to the house of the God of Jacob. So he's not talking about a natural mountain. Uh, you know, we talk about moving mountains in our life, and we're talking about, well, I'm headed up that mountain. Uh, we even use it in age. Well, I'm I'm over the hill. So uh it's a spiritual mountain, and it's where God dwells, and that mountain is the house of the God of Jacob. It says, and he will teach us. Listen, and he who will teach us, and he will teach us. How does he do that? By the Holy Ghost, and he will teach us of his ways. Not what man says, but his ways, and we will walk in his paths, for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. These are spiritual places, brothers and sisters. Look them up in the scripture. I tell people all the time, if we want to look at this as a natural Zion or a natural Jerusalem, why is not everybody on a boat trying to get over there? If that is the only place naturally that God is going to dwell at, why are we not trying to get over there? We know that that doesn't make sense, but we don't understand what it means. But you can know. You can know because you can ask God for the Holy Ghost. And I'm gonna tell you something, asking God for the Holy Ghost as one of the best gifts that you will ever receive, that you're not gonna go out in this in the night sky and see a bunch of fireworks and all that. When you are sitting by yourself at your desk and table and it's quiet, and you've put your phone to the side, unless you're using it to search the scriptures, you're not letting distractions uh you know how sometimes we get so encumbered about with work and this and that, we're like, oh, I need a mini vacay. And you just want to go somewhere where it's solitary. You know, like land on the beach or maybe going and staying in a cabin in the mountains where it's just you and it's just quiet. Well, that's how you have to be when you're searching the scriptures and and spending time with God. Because if you have a lot of distractions going on, uh it's hard to focus. And you might miss something, you might miss hearing God's voice. So you want to make sure there's no distractions and you can focus on what God is telling you. And uh, and if by faith you believe this, God will show you, He will manifest himself to you, and there is no greater feeling than God loving on you by showing you his words and what they mean. Psalm, just like, for example, the part about the sanctuary here send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion. It tells you the sanctuary is the house of God. But a building without the spirit is that a church? Psalm 77, 13, Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary. Who is so great a God as our God? So God, his way is in Zion. That's the sanctuary. We already read that in Psalm 20, verse 2. Psalm 114, verse uh scripture 2. I'm trying to not to say verse because the Bible says scripture, not verse. Uh it says Judah was his sanctuary. Judah is also the lawgivers, the governing body of God. It says in Israel his dominion. Jeremiah 17, scripture 12. A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary. And we know the throne of God is Zion. When you search the scripture, so uh it's so beautiful uh when you go back over and look, read that uh scripture again, to see thy power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and thy glory, all his people. So as I have seen thee in the sanctuary, the house of God. Scripture three, Psalm sixty-three, scripture three, because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live, I will lift up my hands in thy name. Now, listen at this. What shall I render unto all the Lord for all his benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, because we were just reading right here. Thus will I bless thee while I lived. I will lift up my hands in thy name, and our lips shall praise thee. So what shall we render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward us? Take it personal. God, what can I do for everything you do for me? Yeah, I've got some things I'm dealing with. Yeah, I'm having to work through some things. Yeah, my life uh season's not perfect. But God, I want to do what's right and let God show you. So what shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? If you don't know what the benefits of God are, there's a lesson available that you can receive, or you can just go in and search it out yourself. Benefit. I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people. You ever made a vow unto God? We had a lesson about that uh here just uh I want to say a month ago, about the vows and how it's better not to make a vow than to make one and not pay it. Scripture five, my soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips. Now we already read that about the lips uh one time there in verse two, or scripture two, uh my lips shall praise thee. So let's look at morrow, bone marrow. We know bone marrow, uh uh uh some people say marrow, but bone marrow, uh, when you look that up, is the innermost part of your bone, and there are a lot of nutrients in that. Hebrews 4, verse 12, it says, For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. Now, I want to point out something here the Lord just quickened me to. In Ephesians 6, 17, it tells us that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. So it takes our mind from the natural fencing tool to the Word of God. God's sword. His sword is the word this the sword of the spirit is the word of God. But listen, it's right here again. It's it's more evidence. For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. Sharper than any. That means it's more sharp than, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and morrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. God knows your heart. He knows your thoughts. There is nothing hid from him. He's a spirit. He sees all, he knows all, he hears all. There's nothing kept from him. And you think about it, uh, even in our life, there's nothing that we can hide from God. Like we used to hide things from our parents when we were teenagers. We we're not gonna hide anything from God. God knows what's going on up in here. And he knows what's going on in here. And he can fix it. Whatever you need help with, he can fix it if you by faith believe and you look unto him. Now the lips, listen at the lips. The words, when words uh come out of your mouth, they cross over your lips, right? Psalm 141, verse 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth. Keep the door of my Lips. And tonight when we close, that will be our prayer. Because we're learning prayers. We've learned Psalm 19, 14. We're going to learn Psalm 141, verse 3. And there's also Psalm 130, verse 2. We're going to learn those three together. It's three scriptures, and I keep saying verse, but it's scriptures. We're going to learn those three scriptures. And if you memorize those, you can have that prayer every day. Okay, so Psalm 63, verse 6, when I remember thee upon my bed and meditate on thee in the night watches. So what does that mean to meditate? Some people say, mmm, um. But listen, Joshua 1, verse 8, this book of the law, this book, here it is, this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. For then shalt thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. That's the only way you're gonna have success in this life. Big houses and fancy cars and a lot of uh money in your pocket is not success. All right? That's called bondage. That's what that's called. 1 Timothy 4 15. Meditate upon these things. What does meditate mean? Here we've got a uh uh an acceptable word, a wholesome word. Man calls them definitions, but listen, what does meditate mean? Give thyself wholly to them. So meditate upon these things, give thyself wholly to them. W-H-O-L-L-Y. That means completely. That thy profiting may appear to all. So every day, just like you get up and you eat breakfast, and some people only eat two meals a day, some might eat uh a few small meals a day, some might eat three meals a day. If you don't eat, you get hungry, you get cranky, you feel faint, you feel icky, you might get sick, you get a headache. Don't do that. Uh just like your natural body has to have natural food, eat healthy food. Well, you want to eat healthy words. That means you don't go in and chew on a page of the Bible. You go in spiritually and you begin to chew it up. You begin to read and search. You come across the word, like meditate. We're looking, we're looking at uh journey through the scriptures on the word meditate. We looked at three two places. Now we're gonna read, listen at this one. It says Luke 2.19, but Mary, and we know who Mary is, Mary, the mother of Jesus, but Mary kept all these things. Jesus said, If you love me, keep my words. Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. So you read something, God may have put a word in your heart mind. And so you're like, okay. You begin to search it out, you get the natural. Uh you're writing it down or you're typing it. Some people don't like to write, they want to type. But then you go into the strong's concordance. Once again, that is the uh alaya. You can just type in strong's concordance on the Google Chrome, either on your phone or at home. And uh the alaya uh strong's when you click into that, you can hit whatever it is that God's put in your heart and mind and hit enter and get all the scriptures on it. And you can sit there and read them and ask God to show you what do you mean by this, God? And you might see something else that'll that'll catch your eye. Well, don't don't lose your focus. Make yourself a footnote on the bottom of your paper uh or page, but you keep focusing on what God put in your heart and mind. Because the more you begin to understand, the hungrier you're gonna get, and you're gonna be searching. Uh, you're gonna become diligent. Uh, I just read the word a diligent search in the scriptures here. You're gonna become uh hungry for the word of God. Just like if you went to a buffet and you're about to starve to death, you're hungry for whatever they've got on that buffet. So you sit down and you're reading God's words and you come across something, and you're writing notes, uh, and then you come across something else. Uh and I did this years ago, and uh the Lord would give me something to search out, and I'd say, Oh, look at that, I gotta write that down. And before you know it, uh 25 pages later, and I still didn't know what God wanted me to search out because I had let myself, you know, get off track. So make a footnote, you can go back to that. But stay focused and let God, uh, like Mary, pondering all these things in her heart, that's meditating on these things. You can be riding down the road and you're keeping, you know, we uh God has given us a great ability to be able to multitask. And uh I've got a friend of mine, I pick on her because she can ride down the road, and this might sound dangerous, but she's got it. She can uh drive with her knee, put on makeup, and be drinking coffee at the same time. And I used to say, you need to quit doing that, you know. Uh people now they try to text and drive, and that's not safe. Um, so there's things that you can do. You can keep your eyes on the road and be pondering what God has shown you. You can be at your natural job doing your job. God will give you that ability to be able to still do your job, but your mind is on Him. So uh now back in Psalm 63, verse 7. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. Now uh we had a lesson on the wings. We're not talking about the flap, flap, flap caca. We're not talking about that. We're gonna learn uh you can go back in on Spotify Deezer and iHeartRadio, uh, the wings, the counselors of God, the feathers. Uh, but also remember this. When it seems like there is no one else there for you, uh, and we've all been there, we felt like we were the only one on the face of the earth, and we might be going through something. God has been our help. We didn't know it at the time, and we may be in tears and crying out, and really uh uh whatever the situation. And uh and I remember doing that one time, and I was just uh I was bawling. I was going through something really difficult, and I was crying out to God, and God said, I am still God. So God was letting me know, and of course that made me cry even harder, but God was letting me know that there's nothing too hard for him. We forget to look unto him because we we feel like we got to handle things ourselves. But there's nothing wrong with saying, God, I can't handle this. Please help me. We look unto the heels from which cometh our help. We look unto the Lord who has been our help. He is a very present help in time of need. Is that not written? He's there for us. But we forget sometimes to look unto him. But let us not. It's better that we look unto God than to try to handle things ourselves. It says, Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. Now remember the shadow there in Psalm 23, verse 4, Scripture 4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Now the rod is not a switch. The rod is the word of God and the staff. Uh most companies have a staff. They have many workers there, and that's called a staff working. So those with the Holy Ghost, uh, the word and the spirit, they are able to comfort the people, all right? And the shadow the shadow of the valley of the shadow of death, remember in Romans 8, verse 6, to be carnally, scripture six, to be carnally minded is death, all right? But to be spiritually minded is life and peace. So we are out there walking around in the midst of the valley of the shadow of death all day long. We're around people that are just full of the flesh, the works of the flesh. They don't care for you, they care nothing about you. They'll uh they just soon spit on you than to look at you. But you also have thy rod and thy staff. You also have the people of God out there wanting to comfort others. Remember that. And the wings, uh, we'll look at a few verses here, uh, scriptures. Psalm 91, uh scripture four reads, He shall cover thee with his feathers. Now we know God is not a big bird. He's not a big bird off of Sesame Street. So we got to think within ourselves, what does that mean with his feathers? What are the feathers of God? And under his wings, well, what are the wings of God? Shall thou trust? His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Ecclesiastes ten twenty. Curse not the king, know not in thy thought, and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber. For a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings will shall tell the matter. So I want us to look at those two things. The bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter. Malachi four, scripture two, but unto you that fear my name shall the Son of Righteousness S U N that's an uppercase S, the Son of Righteousness that is also the Son of God S O N. Alright? The Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings, his wings. Well, I didn't know Jesus was a bird. He's in a hut. Alright? The son of righteousness arise with healing. Remember, he sent his word and healed them. So how does he send his word again? And those that are taught of him. It says, uh, shall the son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings, and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall. Feathers. So wings have feathers. Now we had a lesson on this not too long ago about wings and feathers. Uh, and and we do look at birds, we that's the first thing our mind goes to, wings and feathers. And that was the first thing that came to my mind years ago when I was searching out about the wings, because I was like, God is not a bird. And that's the reason I said that, because uh, you know, I was looking at uh going back to the do of my youth and thinking back when I didn't have this understanding. Uh but the Lord asked me, well, what do wings have? And wings have feathers. It takes feathers to make up the wing. All right. So Psalm 91, Scripture 4 reads, He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings. Do not wings keep you elevated from the earth? Think about this. What that is saying is it keeps you elevated from the things below. Because you are supposed to be setting your affection on things above. You are supposed to be in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You're not supposed to be in things below. Now that doesn't mean that your feet go floating up off the ground. Please don't let your mind go there. But you, like the Lord was bringing out earlier, you can be on your job and you can be doing what God has called you to do, and you're still pondering what you read this morning or that morning. You could be still pondering on the wings and the feathers. If uh you hear something in any of these classes and you don't understand it and you still you want the notice, I'll send them to you. Uh but remember this: you have to ask God for the Holy Ghost to teach you what his words are saying. So when you go in and you begin to read God's word, now keep in mind, I want us to understand this is imperative. It is urgently imperative that we understand that God said, do not add to this book or take away from this book. And when we go to other books, those books will lead you away from this book. And when you get the wrong information, you're gonna speak the wrong information. And if you get the right information, you're gonna speak the right information. So we want to speak the correct information, and that is the words of God, which are true and pure words. So uh we want to make sure this is uh this is really important because the devil is so crafty and he has drawn so many people away from God's word. God did not write all those books, brothers and sisters. He wrote the book of life. Why do we, as Christians, and it makes me want to cry. It makes me want to cry for him. Because why do we feel like we have to run to books that men have written and we're running away from the books that holy men have written? Let us understand the severity of what God keeps bringing out. He keeps bringing it out, keeps bringing it out over and over. We've got to go back to our first love. He loves us. The books of men only love you putting sixty dollars in their pocket. Thou feathers, he shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust. He is gonna remember Jacob's ladder. Everybody knows that story. How Jacob, how he saw the angels ascending and descending. Did you not understand that in Hebrews chapter one, it tells us that the angels are ministering spirits? It wasn't man see, man wants to paint all these pictures of people going up down a ladder. What about people coming out of the old and into the new? How about people coming up from the things of the earth and overcoming the earthly things and being in heavenly places with Christ Jesus? Your natural body is still doing what it does. I still have to get up and take care of my house, my household, my grandbaby, whatever God needs me to do. The Lord has me working here in the town where I live. So I still have to do those things. But my first love is God, and I'll tell anybody. God has been too good to me. I will tell anybody he is my first love. I will go to him first, and then all this other, because all this other without him means nothing. I cannot help my town that God has blessed me to work in. I cannot help my grandbaby that God has blessed me to be with. I cannot love my husband like he needs to be loved. I can't even take care of my house without God. Hallelujah. Thank you, God. Let us go back to our first love, to the one who gave us life. And see, I have a grieving in my spirit tonight because I see so many people being pulled here and pulled there, away from God's word. And see, they did the same thing to Jesus. Uh understand this when they said, Away with him, crucify him. 1913 of Revelation reads, and his name is called the Word of God. I didn't want to hear the Word of God then, and many people don't want to hear it today. But the hope that we have is that God has said, now they will reverence my son, and his name is called the Word of God. Those books alive do not bring you salvation, brothers and sisters. And I got evidence. Romans 1. Romans 1. And let's look at uh verse 16, scripture 16, excuse me. Uh the word verse and verses is not in the Bible. The word scripture and scriptures is. So I'm trying to uh not speak words that is not written as the Lord shows it unto me, because it's not a verse. A verse is a written, a written sentence or text. A scripture is written by holy men. So there's a difference. But Romans 1.16 reads, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone that believeth to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Scripture 25. Well, uh let's read uh uh you could read. There's a whole it's a whole bunch there. But those who have left their first love, those who became vain in their imaginations and their foolish heart was darkened, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man and to birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things, wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lust of their own hearts to dishonor their own bodies between themselves, who changed the truth of God into a lie. Why would men do that, you say? They change the truth of God into a lie. See, people are out there trying to build their own kingdoms. That's not gonna stand with God. God's bid He's got a kingdom, and Jesus Christ has all rule and authority in that kingdom. It says, Who change the truth of God into a lie and worship and serve the creature more than the creator who is blessed forever? Amen. Let us keep in mind who the feathers and the wings of God are, who keep the people lifted up off the earth and bring them into heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Scripture 8 back in Psalm 63, it says, My soul followeth heart after thee, thy right hand upholdeth me. So where does Christ see it? Now looking at the right hand, where does Christ see it? Matthew 25, 34, then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Acts two, Scripture thirty three, therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this which ye now see and hear. The promise of the Holy Ghost. Acts two thirty-eight, repent and receive ye the gift of the Holy Ghost, for this promise is unto you. Go over and read it. God does not don't ever let the devil tell you, well, you did this and you did that and you did the other, you've lost your chance, it's over for you, you blew it. Uh-uh. Every sin is forgiven except for the blaspheming of the Holy Ghost, like the books of men are doing, because those books of men are saying you don't need the Holy Ghost, all you gotta do is come over here and buy this, and I'll tell you what God meant by what he said.
SPEAKER_01That leaves the Holy Ghost completely out.
SPEAKER_00Psalm 63, Scripture 9. But those but those that seek my soul to destroy it shall go into the lower parts of the earth. So we were talking about this earlier. The lower parts of the earth is hell. That's hell. People say it all the time. Well, I've uh God brought me out of hell. Or boy, this is hell and torment, this thing that I'm going through. But yet we still have that heart that's been taught to us by the vain conversations received by the tradition of our fathers that hell is in the center core of the earth. There's nothing there but fire, brothers and sisters. Take a science class, look what's in the uh uh core of the earth. Listen at what hell is. Hell is the opposite of heaven, and you can be in heavenly places in Christ Jesus or you can be in hell. Where was Jonah at? Think about where Jonah was at in the book uh in the book of Jonah, and the wheels was wrapped around his neck. Lower parts of the earth is hell. Isaiah 44, scripture 23. Sing, O ye heavens, for the Lord hath done it. Shout ye lower parts of the earth, the lower parts of the earth, that's hell. Break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein. How does the tree sing? That's another lesson for another day. For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob. And Jacob's name is no more Jacob but Israel. And when God redeems, that means his redeemer is come, and Jesus is his name, and glorified himself in Israel. See, we are in bondage and captivity also until Jesus, who told us to receive you the gift of the Holy Ghost, and to search the scriptures, and that you must be born again. See, Jesus said that you must be born again by the water and the spirit. So when you say, I'm gonna listen to what Jesus says because I love Jesus and I want to I want to be I want to do right. I get one season, I want to do it right. So then God give me of your spirit to teach me. So then God does. So have you not been redeemed? Because God saw your heart. Well, this child's crying out to me for the truth. They want to know the truth, and I can give them of my spirit to teach them what my words say. So I'm gonna take this child back unto myself from the things of the earth. Remember, Jesus said, In the world ye shall have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I've overcome the world. So we are in Psalm 63, Scripture 10. They shall fall by the sword. Remember the sword there in Ephesians 6, 17. It was brought out earlier. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. They shall fall by the sword. That means that the truth is going to manifest all the darkness. See, people that have the works of darkness think the devil thinks that he's going to live forever. And what's going to take place? Jesus, God sent his son to take sin out of the world. That's our job, is to take sin out of the world. So, but you can't do that if you are still transgressing God's laws. So when you ask God to help you, you've repented and you're asking God to forgive you of your sins and to give you of his spirit, the Holy Ghost to teach you, little by little, every day as you go in and you read and pray, God is beginning to show you and you start growing. You start going up that ladder. All right? You're ascending from the earth because now you're putting away the old man the way the old man used to do things, and now you're starting to uh set your affection on things above heavenly things. You didn't go anywhere naturally, but in your heart and in your mind, that's with God now.
SPEAKER_01I hope everybody understands that.
SPEAKER_00They shall fall by the sword. All those that do anything contrary to God's word, they're going to fall. That means they will never receive anything from God. Their time will come to an end, and that'll be a wrap. That's all they that's all you see. People all the time, they work a hundred years shucking and jiving, they made a bunch of money, then they died, and all the money went to their children. And they spent it up until they died, or spent it all up until it was gone. That's vanity, brothers and sisters. There's nothing wrong with leaving your children a house and a car and some money to help them, like a nest egg to help them. But what else can you give them that's more important than material things? Think about it. God in their heart, teaching them the truth, training up the children in the way they should go. For when they are old, they'll not depart from it. I want my children to know the truth of God, and I pray for them. I want my grandbaby to know the truth of God. I want my husband to know the truth of God. I want everybody that I come in contact with to know the truth of God, and even those that I don't come in contact with. Because that's a good life. Scripture 10, they shall follow by the sword, they shall be a portion for foxes. Now, uh we know what the sword is, it's the uh sword of the spirit, it's the word of God. But what is the foxes? Because the first thing we'll think about is the little furry creature, and most times they have red in them. There's a gray-tailed fox, there's different foxes. Men back in olden days used to hunt foxes. But listen at this. Uh, we have some scripture of scriptures here to read. Judges 15, 4. And Samson went and caught 300 foxes and took firebrands and turned tail to tail and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails. Now, so our natural minds thinking about 300 natural foxes, and Samson tying their tails together. But listen, let's keep reading. Psalm 63, Scripture 10. They shall fall by the sword, they shall be a portion for foxes, is where we're reading. Song of Solomon 2, uh, scripture 15. Take us the foxes. Here comes the definition. This is what I'm trying to tell you. When you search the scriptures, God will show you what he's talking about. But if you stay in one place, take us to foxes, close the Bible, you will not see it, you'll miss it. Jesus says, search the scriptures for a reason. And I love it. I love it because I know as I do that, I'm going to find some understanding. It's like a treasure hunt. You find you read a scripture and you say, What does that mean? I'm going to search it out. I'm going to dig in the treasure. And I'm going to learn what God is saying about this. Song of Solomon, chapter 2, scripture 15, take us the foxes, the little foxes. What do the little foxes do? That spoil the vines. For our vines have tender grapes. So we think about foxes eating grapes off natural vines and like a grape orchard. But listen. So then you search out, okay, they spoil the vines. Well, what are the vines? Isaiah 5, verse 7. If you search out the vines and vineyard, listen at what you're going to read. Isaiah 5, Scripture 7. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel. I love it. And the men of Judea, his pleasant plant, and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression, for righteousness, but behold a cry. So take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vine. The vines is in the vineyard. And remember, the vineyard, this is the house of Israel. And we're not talking about the natural Israel. We're talking about God's chosen nation. You see how your understanding is opened up? It's like, oh, okay, so, but still, I don't still have an understanding about the foxes. They're spoiling the house of Israel. So are foxes eating people? No, listen. Lamentation 5, scripture 18, because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it. Ezekiel 13, Scripture 4, O Israel, who listen, you got your hearing aid on, you got your ears turned up. O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the desert. So now we're getting somewhere. We know the vines, the grapes, that's the vineyard of the Lord of hosts, that's the house of Israel. And the foxes, uh, it says that spoil the vineyard. Jeremiah 23 is your homework, if you willingly will go and do it. Jeremiah 23 is a great understanding what the foxes do to the vineyard. All right? But listen, so the prophets are like the foxes. Matthew 8, verse 20, scripture 20, and Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man have not where to lay his head. So that means that the prophets are able to go into the house of God and teach and speak things that God didn't tell them to speak. God did not send them. But they won't, they don't want Jesus in there. They want their books. Now you know I'm gonna keep it real with you. And that's as bold as it can get. Away with him. I don't want to read the word of God, the one that God wrote with his finger by a holy man as he moved upon them, because I can't understand it. I'm gonna go over here and read this book that man wrote. Now that leaves the Holy Ghost out. And God told me years ago, He said, You teach my people their transgression, and that's what it is. They're leaving, they left their first love. The transgression, uh, remember, sin is the transgression of the law. So transgressing God's laws is a sin. I love God, but I don't understand the book that he gave, so I'm gonna go read other books. That's a sin. So we need to understand something, and please don't take my word for it. Please you go in and search it out. God knows everybody's heart, and God does work with everybody according to their heart and their mind. And so uh we have to all work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, okay? Luke 9, scripture 58, and Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, holes, excuse me, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man hath not where to lay his head. When are we gonna bring the word of God back into the house of God? Let me say that again. When we, when are we, the people of God, the ones that call themselves Christians, gonna bring the Word of God back into the house of God? I'm gonna tell you something God showed me the other day. I was going down the road, uh, you know, you pass when you're traveling, you can't help it, but you pass several churches on your way wherever you're going. You could be just going to the store. And I passed the church, and there was a sign out front, and and all churches mostly have them. Some just have the name of the church, but a lot of churches have uh a sign where they can uh display a message to compel the people to come in. And one church had a little cutesy saying. It was not scripture, but it was a cutesy little saying. And it's like every time I passed the church, the Lord would turn my eyes. Well, then I passed another one, and that one said, In here we teach the Bible and prayer. I said, Okay. So there was not a cutesy saying. They were telling the people, in here you're gonna hear the Bible. And then I passed another church, and there was another cutesy little saying, and then I passed another church, and it was just a scripture where you could read it. And um, you know, the Lord let me know what the sign on the outside displays tells what's being taught inside. And I was like, oh my. So we've got to, if if anybody that's uh hearing tonight uh knows anybody that might be responsible for the signs in the churches, please start putting scriptures out there. That's what's going to draw the people in. Uh God didn't send cutesy little sayings. Okay, I want you to understand that. He sent his word. Put something out, pray about it. God, what would you have me? That's what we do at church. God, what would you have us put on the sign? Uh, and then of course we say come and see, because we want the people to be able to come in and out of the word of God, see what God is saying. So that is more helpful to the people than tickling their ear or making them chuckle. You want something that's going to help them because they may never go in to the doors of the church that you uh uh reside at. But if you put something out there, that's see, that's how your love grows for the people. It's not about telling them a cute little saying to make them laugh, it's about giving them something that'll give them make them think God does love me. Isn't that better? Let God show you that. Psalm 63, Scripture 11. It says, But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone that sweareth by him shall glory, but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. That's the foxes that we just read about. They're gonna be stopped. That's what Samson did when he put tail to tail and set them on fire. He stopped the mouth of those foxes that were spoiled in the vineyard, which is the house of Israel. All right. You got it's almost like a math equation. You got to put scripture to scripture uh and begin to understand what the Lord is saying. Uh so uh there were many kings. We read about the kings in the Bible, and we were reading uh about David, David's king of Israel here when we're reading in the book of the Psalms. Uh but now in our time, our season, Jesus is our king. He is king of kings and lord of lords. And I'm gonna tell you something, there won't be any other kings. He is Jesus, he's it. He is the last, he's the only salvation, the only savior that God has given. He is king of kings. And that's who we serve. So I want us to really take in hand uh and thinking about this, working out our own salvation with fear and trembling, who we are serving. We're serving a true and living king. I ain't talking about one with a gold crown and a big old red robe flowing down to the ground. I'm talking about a spiritual king who loves us, who has told us to seek you out of the book of the Lord and read, who has told us to search the scriptures, who has told us to receive you the Holy Ghost, who has told us to keep his words, so that the truth can make us free. That's all he wants us to know, is that the truth will make you free. But see, you're not gonna find the truth in the books of men. You've got to go back to what God is saying. And if you come across the word that you don't understand, we'll open up the dictionary. We run out and spend money on all kinds of things. We'll go buy you a good concordance, go buy you a dictionary. Yes, use the ones on your phone, but what happens if you lose power? You can still study and learn what God has really said. Is it better that we listen unto God or unto man? First Timothy six, fifteen, which in his times he shall show who is the blessed and only potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Revelation seventeen fourteen, these shall make war with the lamb, and the lamb shall overcome them. For he is Lord of Lords and King of kings, and they that are with him, they that are with him, not the books of men. Remember his name is called the Word of God. So they that are with him are called and chosen and faithful. I hope this lesson has helped you tonight. Uh I know it it uh every time I go into God's Word, it helps me. And so we're gonna look at three verses. This is how we're gonna close tonight. Psalm 130, scripture two. So uh if you got your Bible there, you might have to use a couple of your fingers. Go to Psalm 30, verse 2, and hold your place there and go to Psalm 41. Psalm 41 verse 3, and then we'll end with Psalm 1914. So uh after we say these three verses, we'll say amen and have a blessed night. Psalm 130 verse 2. Lord hear my voice, let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth, keep the door of my lips. Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Be blessed this night.
