Speaker 1:But today we're going to talk about why your 2024 sales and income made and go as planned, and how to fix it for 2025. Now keep in mind that if you did have a great 2024, this is for you as well. We're going to talk about if you didn't have great results and if you did, okay. So I'm going to talk to both groups. So, whether 2024 was your best year yet or it left you wondering what's next, one thing is for certain you are meant for more more sales, more security, more freedom, more impact, and that starts with what we're diving into today. All right.
Speaker 1:So, like I said, some of you absolutely crushed it this year and I want to celebrate you. I want to celebrate you. I want you to be oh gosh, I just want you to realize, like, how amazing you are. And honestly, I have to say, you guys don't realize how awesome you are, even if you didn't reach your goal, even if this 2024 was not what you thought it was going to be. Okay, I am talking to so many of you so often, often, and I'm truly in awe of what you do, truly in awe.
Speaker 1:Take Brandy, for example. Brandy has gosh. She has four kids, three of them are triplets. Plus, she has an incredible Pampered Chef business and a team and she is consistently growing. Or take Tiffany, for example. Tiffany has this incredible team, this incredible business. She is the most creative person I've ever seen. She's an action taker and she doesn't quit. She doesn't quit. It's incredible. Or Linda Linda has been thrown so many curveballs this year, but you know what? She continues to shine, she continues to work, she continues to take action, y'all.
Speaker 1:I could go on and on and on about the people inside my expand program. I could go on and on and on, because they are all doing incredible things. They are showing up for themselves, they are showing up for their business. Okay, but guess what? Sometimes we don't feel like we've done as well and I guarantee you, if you're doing well in your business, chances are you're not taking the time to celebrate you. You are literally just thinking I'm not good enough, it's not enough. Okay, please take a moment to celebrate you and to recognize how, what an incredible badass you really are.
Speaker 1:Okay, and then let's talk about if you did have a great year, how are you going to keep growing? Because we're not just going to stop here, right, we're not going to stop here. We're going to keep growing. Now, if you feel like you worked hard and you didn't see the payoff, so 2024 wasn't as great as you wanted it to be, I'm here to help you with that too. So, either way, today's episode is going to help you identify what worked, what didn't and what needs to shift for 2025. In order for that to be the best year, you truly step into more, okay, so let's start with the people who really did have a great year. Okay, now, maybe it's not as great as you thought it was going to be, but you still had a great year. Or or maybe you didn't expect it to be this great. We're not going to stop here, all right, we are not going to stop here Resting on work this year, like, if you're like, all right, I got this, it might lead to stagnation in 2025. Because what happens is when we get into this, like oh gosh, when we get into this space where we're like, all right, I got this figured out. That's when things are going to change. Okay, like that's when things are going to change.
Speaker 1:So I want to ask you this Are you relying too heavily on momentum from your product or your team or your company? Because if you're relying too heavily, it's kind of like the toolbox example Are you just using one tool in your business toolbox or are you using all of them? We need to make sure we're not just relying on one thing too much, because what happens if one of those things shifts? If we're totally reliant on our team, for example, like our team is rocking out, we're making a lot of money each month and then suddenly the company, for example, decides to switch to affiliate marketing, you are up a creek because you've been relying on the income from your team. Do you follow me? Do you feel me? So ask yourself am I relying too heavily on momentum from one of these things? And how can I prepare myself on the off chance something were to shift?
Speaker 1:Now, if you've struggled this year, if this year has not been what you had planned, like maybe you went to the Best Year Yet workshop last year and you had these major dreams and you took action, but you just didn't get what you thought you were going to. I need you to know that you're not alone. It is not a reflection of your potential. It's just a sign that the strategies you're currently using may need to evolve. We may need to go back to the basics and really start from there, like starting with your ideal person, your top 1%. Are you speaking to them? Have their desires changed? How long has it been since you've gone back to really tap into what they want? Because here's the thing it's not about working harder, it's not. It's not about hustling more. It's not about working more. Oh my gosh, I did a training this week and someone said they're spending 75 hours a week working. Guys, that is not a life. You do not need to be working that much. Okay, it's about working smarter and leaning into your unique strengths and having systems in place. Okay. Now some challenges and some missed opportunities. That and this is obviously like a reflection episode Okay, one of the challenges you may have faced or may face is an over-reliance on product-focused selling, meaning you are really just leaning into what you sell.
Speaker 1:So, even if you had great sales, I want to ask are people buying from you because of the product or because of you, because branding yourself as the go-to person truly does matter even more than what you sell. So if you've been really leaning into and identifying as the product lady, like the jewelry lady, the makeup lady, whatever I'm going to really encourage you in the new year to lean more into what makes you different, what makes you stand out. Okay, that may have been one of the issues that you had this year is that you were focusing more on the product and the company rather than who you are and what your brand is. Challenge number two something else you might've faced this year is lack of consistency in marketing. Oh, my gosh, y'all I feel this on so many levels.
Speaker 1:So many of you don't have a set marketing strategy, and it's okay, you're not alone. But throwing spaghetti at the wall when it comes to your content creation, customer follow-up, getting more sales that keeps you in this feast or famine mode. It keeps you in this sort of desperation mode, right, it keeps you in this sort of desperation mode and that doesn't look good on anybody. Do you feel me? That don't look good on anybody. And one other thing that you may have been making, or mistake you may have been making, or challenge that you have is that you don't stand out. Okay, if you don't have a clear brand identity and that's a lot of big words, but, like, if you don't know who you are and you don't stand out. If your business feels like it's running you, not the other way around chances are it's because you haven't built a brand that aligns with who you are and what you're meant to do. And I get it, it's easy. Many of us started our direct sales businesses because we're like it's easy, I can just sell a product and make money and then I can stay at home with my kids or whatever. But unfortunately, things have changed and it's not quite that simple anymore. We have to stand out in this industry, and the way to stand out is to be you, is to step into who you truly are and what you can really add to people's lives. What can you bring? How can you serve them? Now let's talk about this hustle In 2025, my hope for you is that you can just say goodbye to the hustle and say hello to harmony.
Speaker 1:I work personally. I work about 16 hours a week, sometimes less than that. Now, could I do more? Could I work more, 100%? But I choose not to. I choose for myself to to work less, so that means I have to be really smart when I work, and I know that part of this is that I need to have a brand. I need to be consistent. So if you had a year where you're like I killed it, it's awesome.
Speaker 1:I want to encourage you to kind of look at yourself, look at your business, make sure you have a personal brand and if you don't start building it now so that in 2025, you can just start scaling, so we have, you have, you've had a great year. Now let's take it to the next degree. What can we do to take your business to the next level? So think about it. Like, focus on diversifying how people can connect with you. Maybe you are showing up on Instagram and you're just sharing content. Maybe you show up more in stories this year. Maybe you haven't been creating content, so maybe you start creating some more content. Maybe you start figuring out ways that you can build more relationships on social media rather than focusing on transaction, just selling Whatever it is. I want you to just think about it. How can you get out of this hustle mode and scale what you've done? Automate a lot of what you've done, so that you get time back Now if you didn't have a great year. Okay, I want you to prioritize one area in your business to improve consistency, whether it's customer outreach, content, messaging, whatever.
Speaker 1:I was speaking to one of my students today and she was looking for ways to add more people to her VIP group and I said to her I was like the first. We gave her some quick tips on how to do that, but then I said here's the most important thing. The most important thing is you've got to go back to the basics. Who are you? What is your brand message Like? What are you teaching people? What are you sharing with people? Who is your ideal person?
Speaker 1:Because before you can grow, before you can increase your sales, before you can do any of that, you've really got to know what your message is. So figure out what is that one area that you can improve upon? What is that one area that you can really nail down? Have you got the foundation pieces in there? Do you know exactly who you're talking to? Do you know exactly what their wants are and what their needs are? Not what do you think they are? Do you know what they are? And then I want you to reflect on what makes you unique, what is your superpower, and then start showing up more authentically in your business, meaning, show up as you, not who you think you're supposed to be, not who you want to be. Show up as you. Now, all of this, this, this next thing that I'm going to share with you, applies to everyone who's listening, and I truly believe that you are listening to this episode for a reason Because, regardless from where you're starting, regardless from how 2024 was for you, regardless of where you've been and where you're going, you are meant for more.
Speaker 1:Hear me when I say that does not mean hustling harder, that does not mean adding more hours to your workday. What it means is stepping into alignment with your strengths, building well, building a brand right that reflects who you are. But creating something that lasts and when I say this I want you to understand more might be with your direct sales business, but it might be beyond your direct sales business. A lot of my students in Expand have shared that they want to write books. Someone else has shared that they want to start a coaching business. Someone else has shared that they know that there's something more for them out there, but they don't know what it is, yet I'm going to encourage you to step into that more. Whether or not you know what that more is, open yourself up and recognize that you are meant for more and you were meant for bigger things, and they will come. You just have to be open to them and they will come. You just have to be open to them.
Speaker 1:Listen, 2025 is not just another year. This is your chance to do something bigger. Let's stop settling for good enough, let's get uncomfortable and let's make this year finally align your business with your potential. Are you with me? Are you with me Now? Listen, the next few episodes in December are going to be focused on kind of like prepping for 2025 and reflecting and all the things. This is just the beginning, my friend. You are meant for more and I'm going to help you get there. You just have to be willing to do it too. You ready? Let's do this.
Speaker 1:Listen, have an incredible rest of the day, rest of the week, whenever you're listening to this.
