Let's get started. Hello, my beautiful friends, happy New Year, welcome back to the Direct Sellers Podcast. I'm your host, rachel Perry, and I am just so happy to be here. Y'all it's 2025. And I am just so happy to be here. Y'all it's 2025.
Speaker 1:This is going to be the year that you stop playing small and you start stepping into the bold, successful version of yourself that you know is possible. And if you don't know it's possible, I know it's possible and I'm telling you that it is. So just take, just believe me, okay, okay, we're diving into this. Today, we are diving into the mindset shift that will transform your business in 2025. Are you ready for that? I'm ready for that. You know what I'm saying? I am ready for that. So listen before we dive in. Here's the thing before your business can grow, your mindset has to grow first. So today, we're going to dive into the mindset shift that's going to transform how you approach your business, how you approach your goals and how you put your brand this year. So, if you're ready to embrace more success, more freedom and more security, this is the episode for you, my beautiful friend. So let's dive in.
Speaker 1:Okay, the first thing I want to chat about is that your beliefs are kind of like your blueprint, okay. So, whatever your beliefs are, that's what's shaping your success. So, for example, if you are in your mind, our limiting belief is like I'm not ready for this, I'm not ready to take the next step, I'm not ready to step into my more. I'm going to be using that term a lot stepping into your more, because there's more out there for you, my friend, and if you've been following along you, you you were with me when I had that sort of revelation at the end of the year, like I, there is more for you out there. And I was sort of reflecting on what I would tell myself five or six years ago, that version of myself, and, and. And I would have said there, you are meant for more, and so we're stepping into that big time this year because you are also meant for more. So maybe your limiting belief is I'm not ready, or I'm not good at this, or I can't do more without working harder.
Speaker 1:The list of limiting beliefs goes on. But here's the thing you avoid trying new things. You even maybe don't show up as consistently because you are in that limiting belief cycle. Okay, that, um, just going around and around and around. All right, these limiting beliefs are what are holding you back. You, because you are stepping into those limiting beliefs, you're like, yep, that's exactly what it is. So I'm going to challenge you to turn those beliefs around. So, instead of you saying something like I'm not ready, I'm not cut out for this, whatever, I want you to have a new belief, something like I am capable of more and I can take one bold step forward today. Okay, here's what happens when you do that, when you start taking those bold steps forward one step a day and when you tell yourself consistently, over and over again, when those limiting beliefs pop in, they're like oh, I don't know if you're meant for this, I am capable of more, I am meant for more and I can take one bold step forward today. You keep telling yourself that because what's going to happen is your mindset's going to shift. And when your mindset shifts, you see big results.
Speaker 1:I was talking to my girls the other day about manifesting and what that means and and and how. Like I grew up always manifesting, but I didn't realize that I was manifesting. Does that make sense? Like I just believed things were going to happen and they happened, um, and I believe that that's because I believe they were going to happen, right, like I just knew that they were going to happen. It's the same thing with your beliefs. When you believe that you're not good enough, when you believe that you're not deserving, or when you believe that you're not good at what you do, that is how you are going to live your life. But what if you change that around and instead you're like no, I am meant to do this, I am good at this, I am capable of more and you lived that. Imagine how your life would change. That belief would become the blueprint of your life.
Speaker 1:So let's, let's talk about this. Let's talk about, like I was talking about stepping into your more. What does that mean? So it's about owning your identity as a business owner, as a brand builder, and not just a direct seller. Okay, you are a direct seller, you are a business owner, but you're so much more than just a direct seller, my friend. You are a brand builder. You are stepping into your more. Okay, it's recognizing that your direct sales business isn't the limit. This isn't it, guys? Mm-hmm, this is not. You haven't arrived. There is more out there for you. This is the foundation for your more.
Speaker 1:So I want you to ask yourself what do you truly want from your business this year? What do you truly want? Do you want to build a team? Do you want to make a certain amount of money? Do you want to step into your more Like? Are you ready to build an additional stream of income, and how would it feel to achieve it? I really want you to reflect on that, something that I'm going to.
Speaker 1:Hopefully, my goal is to dive more into journaling this year, because it's so powerful and I really feel like that will be so powerful for you as well. So I'm going to challenge you to kind of do some reflection today and if you're listening to this while you're driving or while you're walking and exercising or whatever, I encourage you to come back to this just to remember these things and these questions will be in the notes so you could the show notes, so you can always just take a peek and do these journal exercises. But what do you truly want from your business this year and how would it feel to achieve it? You know, so many people and I've been here buy into that like, oh, I'm going to start. When I feel a little bit more confident, like when I feel like I've got this, I'm going to start. Or when I feel like I've really got a hold on things, that I'm going to do it. Or when I've mastered, you know, getting up in front of people, then I'm going to go start speaking in front of people or whatever it is.
Speaker 1:But the truth is, confidence is going to come from action, not the other way around. So if you wait until you're fully confident to start something, you're never going to start, you just aren't. If you're waiting until you're ready for something, you'll never be ready, something you'll never be ready. Confidence comes from action, taking action, taking messy action. Each small step that you take is going to build belief in yourself, okay, so here's. Here's what I'd love for you to do Think about a time when you down a bold move that you've been hesitating to take and commit to doing it this week.
Speaker 1:So, if you can think of a time when you made a bold move, I want you to think about how that felt. Okay, but if you can't think of one, or if you've taken one, you're ready to take another one I want you to to commit to taking one bold move this week. I did that, you guys. I did something that I have been wanting to do but I have been really scared to do. I'm going to share it here. Um, I decided, so I have.
Speaker 1:I'm in the perimenopause stage, right, when we gain weight and we don't know why and I am. I've maintained the weight that I am, but I'm not in a great space. I'm overweight, okay, and I have been thinking about starting a GLP one or whatever, but insurance just didn't cover it and I was like, oh well, it's just not meant to be, because I don't want to pay out of pocket that much, like it's just not meant to be. And then I discovered that actually our insurance does cover it if I go through a specific program. So I'm in this health program where you have a dietician. It's great really. I mean it's not a fast program, you know what I'm saying, but it's been good. Anyway, it's great really. I mean it's not a fast program, you know what I'm saying, but it's been good.
Speaker 1:Anyway, I decided to do that and if the doctor prescribed an injection for me, then I was going to try it. Well, this week I was prescribed Zepbound and I picked it up and I tried it on Saturday. And to tell you that I was so anxious would be an understatement, because I'm still like, is this the right thing for me to be doing? Is this? It's definitely not the easy way out, I'll tell you that much, but it it definitely has been bringing up a whole lot of things for me, a whole lot of things, and, um, I chose to do it because I felt like it was fun, the right move for me.
Speaker 1:Right now, I've decided that 2025, I am turning 50. You guys so uncomfortable. I'm literally telling you guys this, but nobody else like I don't want to talk about this in public, but we're we're like besties here, right, we're besties, we're hanging out, um. So yeah, and I was like, you know, I need to get my, I need to get, I need to get into a good, healthy space. So I did it, I took that bold move and, while I'm scared, still a little nervous about what this means and how it's going to look and I don't want to just lose a bunch of weight without eating right, I need to be healthy and I need to lift and I need to build muscle I'm not going to do it the way I've done it before, as far as dieting has gone in the past, but it's scary. It's scary, um, but it was a bold move for me.
Speaker 1:Another bold move that I make made was to get on hormones Okay, uh, because I just wasn't feeling great. Perimenopause is a whole show. So, um, though, that's my bold move that I made this week, and I'm going to keep you posted on my bold moves this year, but I'm going to encourage you to make a bold move Now. Does that have anything to do with my business? No, it doesn't, but actually it kind of, does you know? Because really, I am looking at myself. I'm taking action for my health and that is going to impact my business. So what's your bold move that you're you've been hesitating to take and I want you to commit to doing it this week. And maybe that's just getting on the call, or getting on the phone with someone. Like I had to actually call and make an appointment. I had to actually call insurance and be in, deal with that annoying stuff. What is your bold move?
Speaker 1:Okay, so here's the beautiful thing about all of this you don't need to do everything at once, you don't? You just need to start. So where do you want to be this year? Where do you want to go? You don't have to do everything at once, and I would encourage you not to do everything at once because it can feel very overwhelming.
Speaker 1:And he's a senior and he's got several projects that are happening right now as we reach the end of the second grading period. And I said to John Mark I was like, hey, buddy, how is your English project going? And he was like, oh, I forgot about it. Oh, my gosh. Like why do teachers do this? I have a trigonometry project and I have, you know, whatever he has, all these projects he's doing. And I said, listen, you don uh, whatever he has all these projects he's doing. And, um, I said, listen, you don't have to do everything at once, you just need to start, you just need to. And I said, hey, can I help you figure this out, can I help you plan it? Of course, he said no, but all you have to do is just start.
Speaker 1:So, and I was just talking to actually one of my clients today about this, she said she wants to make five to 8,000 a month and how can she do it? And I said, okay, here's what you need to do. You need to break down how you're going to do that, because we need to break it down into smaller chunks, because the small actions that you take are going to compound over time. It's just the truth. Like you may feel, like you're not making any progress, you may feel like things are not improving, but the moment you are like ready to give up and you're like nothing's happening, you'll see it all take impact. Okay, so break down how those small, break down those small actions.
Speaker 1:Okay, maybe it's showing up consistently on social media or maybe it's just starting relationships, one conversation at a time. Maybe it's sharing a personal story about how your consistent actions led to your own success or whatever it is. Whatever it is, I want you to just start taking those small, consistent steps. Okay, come up with a plan, all right. So here's what we're going to do. We're going to replace these limiting beliefs with empowering ones.
Speaker 1:Right, instead of I'm not good enough, I'm not, I'm not ready, all the things, something like I am worthy of building a thriving business. I am taking bold steps every day. I am capable of being successful. Something else I would challenge you to do is to spend five minutes at the beginning of every day. I am capable of being successful. Something else I would challenge you to do is to spend five minutes at the beginning of every day just visualizing the life and business that you want to create. What does that look like for you? There's so much power in visualization, and I just want you to to experience that and we do this in my best year yet workshop but I really want you to just visualize what you want your business to look like, what you want your life to look like, and feel that Okay, and then some prompts that you can write about today. What's one thing I can do to step into my more, or what is a limiting belief that's holding me back and how can I reframe it? I would love to know if these, like calls to action, help, because they help me. My coach has been doing more of this and I thought I would sort of emulate that. But I just want you to understand, like you, taking these steps, you recognizing that you are meant for more, and shutting down those negative beliefs, those limiting beliefs, really is going to make such a difference in your life and in your business. Because remember that when you believe these limiting beliefs, when you allow yourself to hear and buy into these beliefs, you unconsciously play small.
Speaker 1:The Golden Globes were last night and Demi Moore won, and I can't remember what she won for. I feel like it was actress, but I'm not sure. But she's. I think it was leading actress, but again, don't quote me on that. But what she said was she said 30 years ago she had been in this. She's been in the business for 45 years. She said 30 years ago a producer told me that I was just going to be a popcorn actress and I guess that just means like she would never get an award, she would never like create a work of art that was beautiful, but she would, you know, she was like I would be in movies that made lots of money, but that's as far as I was going to go. And she said and I bought into that, I bought into that and I believed that, and it wasn't until I let go of that other person's belief that I made my own, that I'm here now standing and what you know, holding this golden globe. She believes she and we do this all the time. Other people's beliefs, other people's comments, we make our own, we settle in and and put it on our back and it becomes part of us.
Speaker 1:Guys, these limiting beliefs are creating or causing you to play small, and you don't need to be playing small, not in 2025,. No more avoiding these risks, no more avoiding trying new things. No more avoidance Like. It is time for you to step into your more. You are not a popcorn actress, my friend. Do not do not wear that, um, that limiting belief, because here's the thing and I'm going to end with this before you can step into your more, you need to believe it's possible.
