Welcome to the Direct Sellers Podcast, the podcast for direct sellers who are ready to get uncomfortable, build their business and grow a team while changing the face of the direct sales industry. I'm your host, rachel Perry. Join me as we get real and talk about all the things you need to kick some serious direct sales booty From overcoming limiting beliefs to sharing the exact strategies you need to attract the right people who become customers and beg to join your team. I've got you covered, girl. I'm going to be your new BFF when it comes to balancing life and kids while building your direct sales business with poise, peace of mind and, of course, a good set of fake eyelashes. Let's get started. Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of the Direct Sellers Podcast.
Speaker 1:You know me, I'm your host, rachel Perry, and I am super excited about today's topic. We're gonna talk about you creating a digital offer. What? Why are we talking about that, rach? Okay, I'm here to tell you why we're talking about it. Okay, listen. You guys know, one of my biggest passions is getting you guys set up for the what-ifs, like if your company were to close or change its model. I want you to be secure and protected. I want you to have a brand that is more than just your product, more than just your company. I wanna help you build so much security in your life that you don't rely on just one stream of income. You're not relying on this company right To be the be all and end all for you. You are creating something of your own and it doesn't have to be complicated. And you heard before, probably at the very beginning, about the challenge that I am doing starting March 17th. It's called the Build your First Digital Offer Challenge, and you can get in now for just a dollar. Just use code MYGIFT, go to rachelaperrycom forward slash challenge and I'm literally going to walk you through figuring out what your superpower is and what you could create. Then we're going to create it, the actual digital product, and then I'm going to teach you how to market it. Like all of that in just three days.
Speaker 1:Okay, so if you have ever thought about adding another stream of income to your life, or you've thought about creating something of your own but don't have a clue of what to sell or you're not really sure what that might look like, this episode is for you. Here's the thing. Having your own digital product is how I got started. You. Here's the thing Having your own digital product is how I got started. Y'all, I literally sold a mini course for $19.99.
Speaker 1:And the reason it was so successful and the reason people bought it is because it was solving a problem that they had. It was solving a problem, and when you're solving a problem and you are beefing up this digital product, it doesn't have to be complicated. Guys, you're probably already teaching it. That is going to help you build more security in your life, because you're gonna have another stream of revenue. It gives you. Having your own digital offer gives you control and security, and you don't have to be some amazing and successful marketer to do it. You really don't. To be some amazing and successful marketer to do it. You really don't. Like, when I started, I had not a clue on how to market myself or my product and, y'all, we made six figures that first year that we sold it. Okay, so I'm not saying that this is what's going to happen. You're going to make six figures in your first year, but what I am saying is there's potential there to do it.
Speaker 1:And here's the beauty of why creating a digital offer and when I say offer it's product, you're creating a digital product like a guide, a mini course, a checklist, checklist. It needs to be a little bit beefier than just like one checklist. But listen, you don't have to deal with inventory, you don't have to deal with hosting parties, you don't have to deal with shipping, you don't really. It's. It's so much better than like a physical product because it can be sold over and over again without really any additional effort. This can all be automated. It's also building a safety net for you. It's helping you build your brand. It's giving you security in case your direct sales company decides to change direction. And listen, you already have a built-in audience. They already trust you. If they buy from you now, they're likely to buy something else that helps them solve a problem.
Speaker 1:Now you might think Rach, I don't have time to create something new and start a whole new business. Sister, that is not what I'm suggesting. Literally, all you need to do is create a digital product and again, I will teach you how to do this and it doesn't need to take a ton of time. I need you to commit to creating it. But what if you could create something once and then sell it over and over again? That's exactly what creating a digital offer allows you to do so.
Speaker 1:I often hear when I talk to my students about this or even not my students like even you guys, like if we're hanging out an email because y'all know how much I love to chat back and forth with you or on Instagram, but I often hear like, oh, but Rach, I don't have, I don't have a big audience Like my social media following is not very big. Here's the beauty of this you don't need thousands of followers, you just need the right people and, like I said before, you already have a customer base. Here's another thing I hear all the time I am not techie, like Rachel, I cannot like. Even Canvas stresses me out Like I don't, I'm not techie and I don't know how to build a website. Girl, okay, you can create and sell a very simple offer, just creating a PDF, a Google Doc, an audio training, and I am gonna show you exactly how to do that. You don't even need a website to start, you don't? I'm here to make it as simple as possible for you.
Speaker 1:Or maybe you're thinking this because I often in fact, I had one of my students emailed me the other day. She's like Rachel, I just don't know what to sell. Well, guess what? You already help people solve problems. We're going to turn that into something that you can sell. That is all yours.
Speaker 1:Here's the awesome thing that I don't think enough of you guys realize you are already. Awesome thing that I don't think enough of you guys realize you are already. Like you have developed so much as a human, you have built yourself up so much as you have built your direct sales business and you have so many skills to offer. I think you just don't realize what skills and what problems you can solve. And that's where I come in. I'm going to help you. So, as you're thinking about this, like as we're waiting for the challenge to start on March 17th, I want you to start thinking about what people already ask you about, or what problems do your customers have that your product helps solve or that you have learned you can solve. Like maybe it's not, like let's take Pampered Chef, for example. Maybe you sell Pampered Chef and there are lots of tools that can help people prepare their meals and prepare their dinner. But maybe you have a recipe book that you could put together for 30 minute meals that your children will love. There are products in there that you may use to make these recipes, but y'all that solves a problem for a lot of people who don't have a lot of time to cook healthy meals and whose kids are so picky.
Speaker 1:What do you have? What can you create that you could put into a digital product. Here's another example. Maybe you sell skincare. What if you put together like a five day skincare reset? Like what can people do that doesn't really include your product? Like you could link your products but because people are paying for this digital offer, it needs to. It won't necessarily link to all your products. That's more of a lead magnet type thing, but what can people do to reset their skin? Or maybe there's a morning routine that you have that gives you more energy. Maybe you can create something like that. Or maybe if you sell home decor, you could talk about how to style your house like a pro and give them a mini training. There are so many things you can do. Here's a pro tip. You ready. Think about what you struggled with before you found your current business and what do you know that could help someone else now. Something to think about Now.
Speaker 1:I know that I've got a lot of overthinkers in my audience, and you know how I know that Because I'm an overthinker and whenever I talk to you guys about it, everyone's like oh same here, like overthinker, overthinker. Here's the beauty of all of this. A digital offer doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be helpful. And here's the other thing. I'm here to help you do it right. I'm here to help you build this digital offer. You don't need to spend months creating something huge, literally, I think. Sometimes our overthinking well, I know this is what stops us from moving forward in our lives. That's why I'm doing this challenge. We're going to take quick, messy action.
Speaker 1:If you could see some of the things that I put out when I first started my business, I was embarrassed. I'm embarrassed to look back on it now, but I did it and people bought them. People bought the things I put out there. I've perfect Well, I don't know if I would say perfected, but I've improved so much now and what people are getting is so much better. Like going back to that $19 and 99 product that Amanda and I sold y'all. Our first trainings were not beautiful. They were not amazing. The content was good, but they weren't real pretty. They weren't super professional, but people still bought it. Why? Because it solved a problem. Listen, sister, I'm here to help you. We're going to do this together.
Speaker 1:Okay, here's the thing you know. I know that in this direct sales world, things are a little uncertain. We're in a lull right now, haven't heard any crazy things happening, but y'all you can't rely on your company. It's great and it's awesome and it's a wonderful way to bring in some more money, but if you are leaning into that to be the business that retires you, to be the business that you can quit your nine to five, that's going to give you financial freedom and security, oh, I just don't know how wise that is. I think it's great to lean into it and build that business, but I really want you to understand that in the back of your mind, that company isn't secure, necessarily right, like they might be telling you, yes, we're debt free, we're not going anywhere, all the things. But guess what? Epicure said that they were planning their incentive trip and suddenly they closed.
Speaker 1:And again, I don't say this to scare you. I just want you to understand that it's so important for you to have a backup plan, and that's exactly what I'm going to teach you. How to do is to start building your backup plan, and that backup plan is literally just creating a simple digital offer that solves a problem that your ideal people, your audience, need a solution to. So if you're like I really still don't really know where to start, rach, please come to the three day challenge. It's three days. March 17th is when we start.
Speaker 1:I'm going to guide you through this whole process. I'm going to answer your questions, I'm going to help you create it. I'm going to give you a template. Literally, you guys, this is, I think it's so important for you to really try to be there and y'all, it's a dollar. Do you know what I'm saying? It is a dollar.
Speaker 1:So, listen, I am looking forward to seeing you that we start next week. Y'all, we start next week. So get your patooties in there. Go to rachelaperrycom forward slash challenge. Yes, it will be recorded. I really do encourage you to be there live because I'll be answering questions. It's going to be on Zoom, so we will, I'll be able to chat and all the things I'm going to really pour into you next week. But I want you to be there live. But if you can't be there live, it's recorded. So definitely get yourself over there and sign up.
Speaker 1:Listen, I'm here to help you and I'm so excited to see what you guys create. And even if right now, you're like Rachel, I don't think I have anything to offer, like I'm just a jewelry lady or whatever Girl. No, no, no, no, no, no. We're gonna figure out what your superpower is. We're gonna figure out what you can offer your audience. Oh, I'm so excited. I'm so excited. All right, I love you.
Speaker 1:My friends, I will see you in the challenge on Monday, march 17th, and then I'll be back here next week for another episode of the Direct Sellers Podcast.
