We need to take our sin seriously and be continually repenting of it; BUT we need to make sure that we don't forget that because of what Jesus did for us, EVERY one of our sins are forgiven by God. Instead of getting what we deserve for our sin, we, receive steadfast love from God that never ceases. We find mercies that are new every morning. These words are more than just lyrics to a beloved hymn!
