We don't usually think of Jesus as a patriot. After all, as the Sovereign God, He owns every nation on the entire earth! But as fully Man, and as a Jew, Jesus loved Israel, especially the city of Jerusalem, which was supposed to be a holy city on a hill. Instead, when Jesus enters it on Palm Sunday, He finds it is anything but a holy city devoted to God. What does Jesus' patriotism teach us about what our loyalty and love of country should look like?
