Speaker 1:

Lord, you know You're now listening to Play For Word Radio. It's the best.

Speaker 2:

We'll be right back.

Speaker 1:

You're the only name. You're the only name.

Speaker 2:

You're the only name.

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Plays on Word Radio, where we discuss, analyze, work and play on the Word of God. Thank you for joining us on this excursion. Today let's join Pastor Teddy, also known as Fred David Kenny Jr, the founder of Plays on Word Theater, as he does a deep dive into the Word of God.

Speaker 2:

Amen, amen. Well, welcome to everybody, all of you. Oh yeah, josh Taylor, pastor Josh Taylor, who I have not seen in a minute. Hopefully we'll have an interview with him sometime soon, so welcome. Yeah, we are rocking through the prep for our Dan play, our Daniel play.

Speaker 2:

But part of the day job is what we do. We're missionaries, man. We go all over the place. We go around bringing the word of God to schools, prisons, churches, living rooms. We even did a I don't even know what you'd call it. It's called Crossroads Gathering Place in North Carolina, here on Oak Island, north Carolina. It is a coffee shop, slash bookstore or general store, but it's Christian, so put Christian in front of that. It's a Christian coffee shop, christian general store, christian bookstore. Very cool people that own it and run it. They love the Lord and serve the Lord and we're looking forward to bringing our Genesis Joe play. We did Pete there early on this year. We did our Pete play there and let me just tell you a funny story.

Speaker 2:

Katie and I went over to Jersey Mike's on Oak Island recently because they were having their I don't know. They have these sales every once in a while where you get points or something like that Jersey Mike's. So Katie watches that stuff and she's like, oh yeah, we can get a half, a sub or a whole sub for whatever. It's like running a sale. So we went over and we were sitting there and this young lady was walking out and putting her glasses on or sunglasses, and Katie looks at her and says, oh, you look really familiar. And the girl says, well, yeah, and she starts telling us where she works a couple different jobs, where she works a couple different jobs and then Katie just says, do you ever go to Crossroads Gathering Place? And the girl lit up. She said oh, yeah. And Katie said, did you go to a play there? And the girl said oh. And then she looked over at me and she was like, oh, what? She went to the Pete play and she was like, whoa, that's us. She went to the Pete play and she was blown away. She absolutely loved the Pete play there and it was just cool to run into somebody that was at that performance.

Speaker 2:

So we go around and we do these plays all over the place. We're going to be firing up the Pete boat and we have a Northeast tour coming up. We do have one play we're going to do in North Carolina at the top of our tour which is starting, is coming up and I'm going to give you guys the dates. You actually can get this if you just go to playsonwordorg slash calendar and you can see what's happening, but I'm going to give them to you anyway, just in case you guys are typing or URL challenged and it's difficult to type it in. Challenged and it's difficult to type it in. So we will be in New Jersey in August, which is coming up Today's. Let's see, today is August 1st, so yeah, we're in August.

Speaker 2:

Wow man, wow man. What happened to the time? Lord, have mercy. Well, the good thing is we are speeding our way to a nice cool fall, hopefully here in north carolina, because it's been africa here. Did I tell you I actually?

Speaker 2:

Uh, after church on Sunday, I was loading up the trailer because we have to set up church every Sunday. We're not in a permanent location yet, so we have to break down, set up and all that. And I was in the trailer and the trailer is all metal and the ceiling is metal and the top of my head touched the ceiling when I was in the trailer. I see a lot of you guys cringing. It was so hot. It was like touching a frying pan and the top of my head sizzled. I couldn't believe it. Yeah, and I don't have a lot of insulation up there, if you know what I mean. So, yeah, that was not fun. I'm still smarting from that.

Speaker 2:

Our East Coast tour we are kicking off on Friday, august 8th, and this we will be at the Quaker Street Bible Church in Delance in new york. I'm trying to make sure I get these right. Yeah, we're gonna be there, and that is from 6 to 8 pm. Friday, august 8th, again the quaker street. Quaker street bible church in New York State. And yeah, from 6 to 8, we're looking forward to that Doing that one. That's Friday August 8th. Then the next day, saturday, august 9th, we're going to be at Bethlehem Community Church in Delmar not Belmar but Del with a D Delmar, new York, and that will be from 6 to 8 pm and we're looking forward to that as well. We're looking forward to that as well. We're looking forward to this whole tour. Please pray for your boy here, because I'm getting older man. Yeah, so I need to find some old guys to play. Actually, they're all kind of old. I don't know. Pete's not really that old, but Pete can get old and so can Paulie. Yeah, that's on the horizon too.

Speaker 2:

We only gave you a taste of the Paul play when we went to Albania. It was just a 20-minute thing, but, yeah, especially now that we've taught through the entire Book of Acts. At Calvary, southport, we did the entire book of Acts and most of Paul's letters, so there's just the extra level of ready to go-ness with the Paul play. Paulie, we call him Paulie, it's my cousin, paulie. Yeah, so I see some of you guys laughing. I hear you. I hear you. So, yeah, we're going to be at the. That's going to be on Saturday at the Bethlehem Community Church, and then we're going to be August 10th. We're going to be at Ocean Grove, the Boardwalk Pavilion in New Jersey. So you New Jerseyites yes, come out for that August 10th.

Speaker 2:

Please pray. We need your prayer over this for good weather. Low wind, please. I don't want the boat blowing away. Low wind, please. I don't want the boat blowing away. We need your prayer for the Lord to bring people out. Every time we do it, the Lord brings specific people out that need to hear the gospel, that need to be encouraged, brothers and sisters in Christ. So I want to encourage you to please. Seriously, I'm trying to recruit prayer. I need to ride a wave of prayer for this whole tour. All right, will you please commit to pray over this tour? Trying to recruit prayer, I need to ride a wave of prayer for this whole tour. All right, will you please commit to pray over this tour and I'll report back to you, all right? So yeah, we're going to be at Ocean Grove August 10th.

Speaker 2:

Sunday afternoon, august 10th, 4 pm to 6 pm. Going to see my man, don Cleese, over there, yeah, and Randy Yelton is going to be holding that down and I believe he's going to be playing drums in that event. And then our next play after that we're going to be, let's see, probably recuperating from that weekend Pretty grueling. Then we have another Pete play at Trinity Tabernacle of Gravesend in New York, and that's Brooklyn, brooklyn, new York. So we're Brooklyn, new York. So we're doing Brooklyn, bringing Pete to Brooklyn. And the last time we brought Pete to Brooklyn was in a park for my man, richie Cancel, yeah.

Speaker 2:

And at Calvary Life, yeah, our brothers and sisters, shout out to you guys. I know a lot of y'all listening. We need to get you guys back on the podcast actually. So we will do that at some point, god willing. Yeah, if you are in the Brooklyn area, new York, new York City, in the vicinity, north Jersey, roll on out to this. It's at Trinity Tabernacle I love it, trinity Tabernacle of Gravesend, new York, and that's going to be from 7 to 9. That's Friday, august 15th, and then the next day.

Speaker 2:

You know what they call these in the music industry. They call these suicide tours when you do shows back to back to back to back. I don't call that. I don't call it a suicide tour, I call it a praise tour Empowered by the Spirit of God. Amen, it's not a suicide, it's a praise tour empowered by the Spirit of God. Amen, it's not a suicide, it's a life tour. Yeah, I'm being poured out like a drink offering to the Lord. Please pray that the cup doesn't run out during this tour.

Speaker 2:

So this Saturday, august 16th, we're going to be back in Brick Tucky, new Jersey. Yeah, at the Presbyterian Church, the Brick Presbyterian Church, and that's over on Drumpoint Road, 111, drumpoint Road, brick Township, and we're going to be there from 7 to 9 pm, saturday, august 16th. Yeah, so a lot of our family, even our family from CCLW, if you have not seen the P play in a while. Come on out. It'd be a great opportunity to see loved ones we have not seen in a little bit of a while. Come on out and we pray. You'd be blessed.

Speaker 2:

I mean, hey, it's the Word of God. So you know? Oh, I've already seen the paint plate. Well, you know, if you took that approach to the Gospel of Matthew, mark, luke or John, how malnourished would you be. I would challenge you to take a different approach. You know, yeah, I saw the Pete play back in 2017, blah, blah, blah.

Speaker 2:

You know I'm going to get a dose of the word again. It's not even completely the same. It is the same story. There's a couple of things, a couple of tweaks. It's even better. It's delivered even better. I believe it's more anointed now than ever, which is hard to believe.

Speaker 2:

Some of you guys are like wow, that's a hard one. I'd like to see that. Well, come on out. All right, come on out, make an event of it. Invite somebody that needs. All right, come on out, make an event of it. Invite somebody that need.

Speaker 2:

Put it this way this is not just an opportunity for me to be a missionary and do my work. Those of you that are in the body of Christ. I'm charging you, I'm challenging you. Find somebody that the Lord puts on your heart and invite them out to this. It will cost you and them nothing. Invite them out to this. Let the Lord do his work too. He'll work on their heart. You just get the courage, pray and ask him. Lord, please, go before me and let him guide you to the person. And if they say yes, that's great. If they say no, leave it with the Lord, but you invite the person that the Lord is putting on your heart. Bring them out, someone that needs to see and hear the gospel in a way that they've never heard it before, never seen it before.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so that's my challenge to you. I'm coming up there, I'm going to do my part, god willing, empowered by the Spirit of God, but I'm counting on you all to do your part, those of you that have seen the play, your part, those of you that have seen the play. You know, you know the deal. We make the gospel crystal clear. Crystal clear and put it this way eternity is in the balance for a lot of people. Okay, a lot of people, eternity is in the balance. This is eternal type of stuff. So you might be approaching it, that guy, whatever man he's bugging out, you know he's with his challenge and all that.

Speaker 2:

What's my significance? Let me tell you something, man. If you've heard this, then the Lord has challenged you. The Lord's allowed you to be challenged to invite someone to come on out to this play, and we're going to let him do his work. Whether they believe or not, that's between them and God. You know, I don't want to interfere. Everybody stay in their lane. I'm going to stay in my lane and please you get into your lane. Okay, that's all I'm asking. That you would just get into your lane. Okay, that's all I'm asking that you would just get into your lane and invite somebody out, and just so you know my motives. It's not to have the place full, that's fun, that's great. But I've done plays for three people, man, man, full on Outfit music the whole nine and never once did I take my foot off the gas because of the amount of people. That is not my motivation. My motivation is eternity, man, and I'm telling you right now, that's my motivation for asking you to invite someone, or multiple people that the Lord puts on your heart, that needs to see and hear this message. All right, so that's enough of my preaching on that.

Speaker 2:

So we're going to be in Brick, bricktucky, new Jersey, saturday, august 16th, 7 to 9. And then the next day, sunday, we will be at Calvary Chapel of Monmouth County in Leonardo, and we've been there a few times. They're like family over there. Good old Reverend Shaw, dr Shaw, my Greek instructor. I got a bunch of questions for him too. I always forget when I get around him, though he's like yoda, he's, he's, he's just he's, he's got the, he's got the wisdom and the info. Um, but yeah, calvary chapel, monmouth county, it's the, it's literally.

Speaker 2:

If you are, if you go to the wawa, don't go that far. But if you know where the Wawa on Route, is it 37? 36. Route 36 in Leonardo, going through northern Middletown, all that, there's a Wawa. Before you get to Atlantic Highlands, there's a Wawa right there and to the right if you're facing the Wawa, to the right of the Wawa is Calvary Chapel, monmouth County, right next door to the Wawa. But if you go to the Wawa you've gone too far. So you want to make a right before you get to the Wawa, or else you have to go all the way around.

Speaker 2:

It's really, it's a pain, but yeah, we're going to be there from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, august 17th, 8 pm, sunday, august 17th, and we will be bringing our Pete play, I think for the third time there. I think Definitely the second, but I think it's going to be the third time. And I don't know if we've done Pete three times. I know we've done it a couple times at different places and, like I said, it's the word of God. You might be thinking to yourself oh, we already had them. Come out and do Pete. You know what? You can't take that approach to the Gospels. We've already read Matthew. How would that go? All right, let me put it in a way that is synonymous with the Scripture.

Speaker 2:

How about eating a meal? I've already had a steak. I've already eaten. I've already eaten breakfast. So what You're not going to eat breakfast again? I've already had dinner. What You're never going to have dinner again? Come on out, come back out. It's the word of God. It's alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.

Speaker 2:

This is not the same as seeing avengers endgame or some movie. You know, I've already seen superman, the movie. All right, you've seen it once. You don't need to see it a bunch of times, although when it comes to star wars, many of you saw star wars how many times, I don't know if some of the people in the audience probably can't relate to that. I just remember, when Star Wars came out, the amount of times that you've seen it was a badge of honor. There was this one kid oh, what was his name? Oh man, was it Robbie Lomax? I don't remember. I remember there was this one kid in Brielle Elementary School that was like I've seen Star Wars 17 times. I was like, and I still hadn't seen it at that point. Yet I still haven't seen Star Wars yet, and he's all about I've seen it 17 times.

Speaker 2:

Wow, okay, anyway, I'm on a rant here. I'm on a rant. Are you guys tracking with me? So it looks like, as of right now, our last play will be Sunday, unless we get it's possible we might get one more before then, but not probable Sunday, august 17th at Calvary Chapel, monmouth County, leonardo, new Jersey. So yeah, so it's all good, and I just you know that housekeeping, I know it took what? Almost 20 minutes for me to give you that housekeeping. We're excited, though, about the Peat Play. We're excited about it.

Speaker 2:

We've seen people enter the kingdom Of Christ. Through what we do At the Pete play and our other plays as well, every one of our plays, we've seen people Make public professions of faith and say they believe and raise their hand and pray with us and the rest is between them and God. Really, as far as whether or not they're truly saved or not, just because you come forward does not mean that you are saved. A true change needs to happen and I've seen true changes in people where the Holy Spirit gets a hold of them and they let go of themselves and the Holy Spirit gets a hold of them and lives are changed for time and eternity. Time and eternity.

Speaker 2:

And I'm not going to be discouraged by some of the numbers or the people that come forward or say that they like a Billy Graham crusade or whatever they came. There's a I don't know somebody Pew or somebody did a survey of the number of people that come forward at an evangelistic outreach type of thing. There is a percentage of people that a year later are not walking with the Lord. That's understandable, but that is by no means is that a reason to not give the gospel or give an invitation. You know I just have. I'm very careful in the invitation. I don't give a false hope, I'm just giving the truth. You know, a false hope would be I'll just come say this prayer and you're good to go. That's no, that's not necessarily it. It's you need to, you know, pursue the Lord. It's not like you have to do something to be saved, though. Like works Gotta be real careful, because it's like we're saved by the grace of God, through faith. It's believe. That's the one thing. What is the work of God? To believe on Him who he has sent Right. Everything stems from that right. Everything stems from that. Anyway, much more could be said about that and, as I hear, I don't know how this is possible, but I I didn't even get into daniel. Some of you guys like wait, what's going on here? This guy didn't have a talk. Well, it's a podcast, all right. So we'll continue our look into Dan the man and what's going on there and, of course, we're going to report back with the report from the tour.

Speaker 2:

Please do me a favor, be in prayer over the tour. In fact, I'm going to pray right now. Lord, I just want to lift from the tour. Please do me a favor, be in prayer over the tour. In fact, I'm going to pray right now, lord, I just want to lift up this tour. I lift up the travel that you'd grant us mercy, with all the equipment and the vehicles and the trailer. And please, lord, no flat tires. Please make everything go smoothly.

Speaker 2:

Let us get there safely and, minister, in the power of your Spirit and, lord, I pray you'd bring people and I pray even now you'd be preparing people. As you bring people, let the believer be encouraged and strengthened and let the unbeliever enter the family of God through faith in Christ Jesus, through the forgiveness of their sins, through faith. So, lord, we just ask that your hand would be upon us, that you would anoint us and give us the power and the strength to do this. Lord, we love you and we thank you and we praise you. We commit our step to you, lord, and I thank you for the people on the other end of this that are in prayer In Jesus' name. Please bless them as well. Amen, all right.

Speaker 2:

So now that that's on his desk, we will continue next week. And the one we just spoke to the Lord may he bless you and keep you. The one we just spoke to the Lord, may he bless you and keep you. May he make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May he lift up his countenance upon you and give you that's right.

Speaker 1:
